yh one thing there wont be on there is adverts which i hate at last no more Ads least no adverts got to be better No Advertising, That spoils it on ITV.
They dare not break play in a football match but they deem it acceptable in F1. I'm looking forward to no interruptions from adverts. Adverts have ruined so many good moments over the years. I think the BBC will do a great job in promoting and airing it, they've proven they can in the past so I don't see that changing.
I hope they keep most of the ITV guys on board though because they do a good job. Not sure they should keep James Allen though, he's not a good commentator. Though if they do get rid of him they'll have to find someone else but I can't see Murray Walker coming back. yes they are going back home?lol yes that battles me because besides the adverts and lewis hamilton there website is very good. And i have a feeling that the bbc can do better but let see when the time comes :)
p.s i would like steve to stay and martin but i am not sure about james though !!
i would like TG 3 to take part :) I will just thank god and bow down in happiness if Murray Walker returned! I know its not gonna happen but suffering James Allen for the past how many years has made me VERY nostalgic for excellent and insightful commentary!!!!

Almost makes the Licence fee worth it. . . . Being the BBC, they are capable of promoting and showing it to a larger audience. Can't wait.. At the very least,No ad breaks. There shall be no adverts :D too right it will be better on the ol beeb!!! we can remember when it was first on the beeb. . . . . no not that old just loved f1 since a baby, that noise is the best sound in the world!!!!!...no ads no long intro's when it comes back on just pure uninterrupted Lewis!!!!!!!!! no adverts, but then should 'gas gussying sport' be put on air with all the concerns of the ozone layer.
It should be banned. No adverts will mean we get to see stuff as it happens. No more missing crashes or cruddy pit stops! At least there won't be adverts during it!

It was all about attitude.
People, drivers especially, respected him as a "take no crap" kind of guy.
Who remembers when one driver took Sr. out on the last lap and won the race. Dale Sr. just walked up to his car and said get out....I can't remember who the driver was but he just kept saying "I'm so sorry Dale".
Sr. let him get out of the car,walked over to him, and just gave him the old bump on the shoulder.
As he walked away, he said "Well, that's racin'" The man did what he had to do, to pay the bills The Intimidator was a little of both .He did what it took to win ! That Dale Earnhardt was overly aggresive or just agressive enough to get the wins that he did get.
I personally think that he was just agressive enough! I think Dale did what it took to win. to me dale is a big softy who cant win races his last win was 2006 come on whats tht time to hang up the wheel. i think Mr. Hendirck wasted his money on dale. he passed up the best diver in history KYLEBUSCH M&M#18 TOYOTA Dale Sr seemed to be driven to win at all cost early in his career. Toward what was the later years, he seemed to get a more overall glimpse of what "team" meant and paid some attention to that. The perfect example is his final race when I completely believe he was blocking for Junior and Mikey. I do believe the early years he was aggressive. I think the middle years he was assertive. By the end, he was just plain GOOD! I think it was a mix of both... Sometimes a little too agressive, sometimes just aggressive enough. I think it depended on his mood, lol
We are talking about Earnhardt Sr, right? Overly aggressive. If any drivers today were to drive like he did, everyone would calling for their head (JPM, Stewart, and Kyle Busch come to mind). But since he's the almighty Dale Sr, its ok. just aggressive enough I htink he was spot on and God Bless him... I think he was too aggressive. Anybody could crash their way to a win. But as long as Nascar lets people get away with it, why not drive that way? So I guess he was just agressive enough. A lot of people who come into my sons NASCAR shop say that he was a bully on the track. I wonder if he would be black flagged in one of todays races for driving like that.. Are we talking about Dale Sr. or Jr.? If Sr. then yeah, i think he was just aggressive enough to get the win. The man in black did just what it takes to get the job done. Kyle Busch lover..................Dale Jr has finished in the top 10 3 out of 5 races and is a CASH COW fool!!!!! Check to see who sells more merchandise and get back with me you dummy!!! Oh and Kyle needs to MAN UP a little bit....his power steering went out and he slams into the wall; a real man would have put some muscle into the steering and kept going!!! He can't drive without power steering???????? He was one of the best to ever grace the sport of nascar.
He would race u the way u raced him. well there is a reason why his nickname was the intimidator. I think he was just aggressive enough and he did whatever it took to win

I just hope it means that half-wit James Allen is dispensed with. Hopefully they'll keep Martin Brundle on though. ITV has put up no resistence in losing the coverage.They have entertained the British public in a brilliant manner over the last 9 yrs.Maybe the stuffy BBC will imitate them in their coverage.
I am happy providing they sign Steve Rider and the mountain of knowledge Martin Brundle,just nothin gets away from this guy.He still has connections within the sport and F1 would never be the same without him.As for the rest they all everyone has done a sterling job and will be sorely missed adverts and all. We'll have to wait and see what the coverage is like. If it's level with ITV but minus the ad breaks then it's a HUGE plus.
Note: Bernie isn't doing this 'for the fans', there's obviously been a big wodge of cash put under his nose. It`s about time, the adverts were spoiling the whole programme. I hate it when they say" while you were away this happened" then they show a replay and you miss the bit they show the replay over !!
PS, can we have Murray back too ? James Allen is c*+p He has Sold tv coverage in the uk back to the BBC from next season Cool. From what i've heard, BBC coverage was way better than the current ad infested itv coverage..
I can't wait.. I'll miss Louise Goodman's interviews with drivers who crash out during a race though.

Also, being with the bbc, maybe the Jeremy Clarkson can be a guest commentator or pit lane interview guy. That would be pretty cool. Should be great especially if they use the interactive service too.Different camera angles,being able to follow different drivers.I'm going to start a campaign to get them to use the old theme music too.nyIf anyone wants to join me here's the link

me being the cynic I am bets he got mega bucks for the deal though No i dont i also dislike Bernie Ecclestone he is 2 faced yeah hes done something right for once, im worried about siverstone though hes always moaning about it. Silverstone is THE home of British motorsport. I hope he keeps it here. every year he moans and threatens to scrap it. I am flaming ecstatic! No more ads!!!!!!!! Hopefully this means the end of the annoying James Allen?
Bernie, I salute you! At least he's doing something right for the fans, for once! great that we will not have to suffer advert breaks - however means i will have to hope I don't miss anything thrilling when I rush to the loo now we won't have a loo/tea/snack break!!! I may have to consider moving back to the UK. They have to ditch that half-wit James Allen though and put in a lead commentator that Martin Brundle can respect...
Btw, unlike many critics of James Allen, I thought Murray Walker was utterly incompetent if occasionally amusing in his incompetence. I spent large parts of my childhood shouting at the TV when he'd made yet another mistake identifying a car or getting some fact or other wrong. He's MUCH better doing interviews or being interviewed himself. Good no crappy breaks every 15mins.

And my husband says that I have good taste in men. lol Ummmm NO. Not at all. I can't get past his arrogant, dangerous self to see anything nice. He does look good...on the outside. But his attitude and mannerisms make him very ugly.

He is a doll and I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to him last year at Homestead. He is highly intelligent and has a very good sense of humor. I'm not really a Dale Jr. fan but I am now more than I was before I met him. Are you an out of shape woman? His nose looks like a ski slope he can not talk worth a crap and lady as far as his a$$ you must not be very good looking yourself. He is ugly for a man and as dumb as a rock. Sorry to bust your chops but you all know it is true Heck yeah! Plus he's got an ornery grin. :D He is a cutie! I love them good ole polite, sweet southern boys.

He's definitely a lot better looking than some of those other drivers though (Kyle Busch comes to mind, lol) dale jr is cute and hot all in one. I'd say he's cute, but not the best looking driver out there.. But I love the cool southern accent...

Same here...husband and I watch every race, until football season starts, then we watch every game usually switching back and forth between the 2 Do you find yourself a bit bummed out during those three months a year that NASCAR has off and there are no races???

Do you replace it with something? Not really. I just smoke mary jane and wait it out like the rest of the drivers. pittsburgh steelers Fortunately I have a hobby that actually gets a higher priority than NASCAR: dog shows. I have that addiction year round. Yeah, it's hard to adjust to the weekends when you don't have a NASCAR race to look forward too. I usually catch up on major housework....painting, attic, windows, and that type of thing to keep me occupied. Makes for a shorter "off" season, and a shorter winter if I stay busy. I don't like football like so many of you. I have tried to watch it, but it does nothing for me.
T-bone.....you seriously crack me up. Same here. Loyal Nascar fan, every race. Baseball season - Yankees and Football season - Giants!! Hockey, and lots of it. I race dirt late model, and usually by late January we start getting that ready.
Lets Go PENS. No, I actually try to spend as much time with the kids as I can in the off period. Although my seven year old has taken an interest in watching the races with me and really enjoys going to the races. College football is a close second. Yes , I also have got the Nascar bug so bad in fact that I choose to watch and read anything I can get my hands on that has anything to do with Nascar!Go # 9 Kasey Kahne!
I am also a huge Buckeye Fan, being from Columbus,Ohio and love the football program. ( Not so much the basketball since they stink since G. Oden left after his freshman year )
Nascar to me is the " GREATEST " sport out there bar none!
In most sports you only have two teams competing against each other and the outcome is pretty obvious on who wins, ( one or the other )
But in Nascar you have 43 teams week in and week out competing for the championship! Its fantastic!
Great Question! I wear a helmet and HANS device to work in the morning. You know the Tampa traffic is terrible in the morning.
Seriously though I watch other sports but do a lot of fishing on the Bay in the off season. I got it so bad I need to go see a doctor. I get it bad also! Watching Nascar race clips on YouTube. It helps feed my addiction until the Nascar season starts. If that doesn't do it I always watch my Dallas Cowboys play on Sunday. Yes, I get real bummed but I cheer on my Jets, unfortunate this is, they were eliminated before Nascar season was over. I'd watch even California or this years Atlanta race over a football game any day though. I record some races during the season and re watch my fav's during the off season,keep up with news on Nascar.com. I a huge football fan, USC Trojans, and Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers, and go skiing, and I just try to keep busy..Yep I hate the Nascar off season, but then its a long season for the drivers/crews & their families and they deserve time off.
Go Dale Jr & Hms kind of but i got other things to do between. Packers for football and Tigers for baseball... I watch baseball when nascar isnt on Yes it is terrible when there are no races,that's when I turn my attention to football. Although The New Orleans Saints aren't lighting the world on fire My L S U Tigers have been doing a great job ! Yes I do. I switch to football. Go RAIDERS.

He might have I dont know but I was glad of the outcome. Jeff burton is a class act and one of the few gentlemen left in the sport. You never know what to expect, that is the beauty of Nascar! That's why we are all fans! I would say it is not for us to know. It is too bad the race had to end that way!

It's not just the driver, but his dependence on his machine. There's no could've, would've, or should'ves in motorsports. There's only the fact afterwards. That was classic. no, it wouldent have been even close. when kevin, and tony were side by side, hamlin had atleast a 3 car lenght lead over the two drivers. If harvick would have gotten past tony he would have had turns 3,4 to catch up to hamlin because the crash happend on second to last lap. well we will never know, Harvick on fresh tires, and with Hamlins fuel issue, I'd say there was a dang good chance he could have...Bring on Martinsville...
Go dale Jr & Hms No doubt he had the car to beat with fresh tires but would he have had enough time to catch Denny who was checkin out with only a few to go.
Harvick seems hungrier this year than I have seen in a while to get a win, and with that said it wont be long before his does. maybe martinsville I agree with LugNutz. That will be a question debated for a long time to come, but we will never know a definitive answer. Based on what happened with Hamlins fuel pick up Problem I would say Yes!!!!!! I would say YES!!!! He had the momentum goin and the only reason Burton really got past Kevin & Tony is because they got into each other, and he was able to get past them!!!
GO HARVICK & RCR!!!! Never know for sure, but I think so. Harvick was on the fresher tires and WAS going to pass Tony if he hadn't lost it and gotten into the side of him. Good for Burton though. Class act. That guy knows how to lay back and let everyone else screw up, and then capitalize on their mistakes. Doesn't matter. The good thing is Harvik took out Tony, and therefore took both of them out of contention for the win.
