What do you think of Joey Logano (#20)?

May be...

  • Couldn't agree with you more! He's gonna be a Super Driver!
  • he is young but still doing good he will get better
  • I like Joey. He's a good guy and I think he has a bright future ahead. He has too much pressure on him though. People expect him to win races already but he's just now getting used to the C.O.T and his team and crew chief. I think he will contend for a win this year but it's going to take time.
  • Good driver, not everyone gets to drive the best equipment for the best owner in NASCAR, let us not forget, he has one of the best crew chiefs also, he needs to win real soon!!!!
  • Yep, he started off a little slow in the beginning of the season, but he is improving as each race passes. Plus he seems hungry when he's out there on the track, which is always a good thing for rookies.
  • I like him. He's a rookie and rookies need new fans so in addition to being a Smoke fan I'm a fan of Logano, Smoke's old team, so it kind of works out!
  • he's a pretty scrawny dude, he needs to eat some more Italian food and hit the gym
  • Joey Logano has turned out to be such a delight. He's a darn good driver and seems to be proving himself out on the track. For an 18 year old, he handles himself very well. I agree with you. I see a very exciting career ahead for him. Kudos to Joey Logano!

    STEWART HAAS RACING ROCKS!
  • Rookie with a lot of potential. He is learning by driving in the Nationwide and Cup series. Having Joe Gibbs' equipment will help his career because they have some of the best equipment.
  • I really like him and am glad to see he's starting to do well. They put a lot of pressure on him, and the testing ban hurt. Now, though, you can see what all the hype was about.
  • he is ok but he is no dale earnhart jr who just so happens to be the best driver in the hole wide world
  • he seems to be doing good, and always is polite and has good interviews after the races, seems pretty mature to be 18, I'm sure he will have a good finish to the season.
  • give him some time he will do just fine.
  • He has a lot of potential. After he has a few seasons under his belt, everyone had better watch out. Or who knows maybe sooner.

    GO 24!!!!
  • Promising.
  • I'm impressed, he's only 18 years old and I see a very exciting career ahead for him.
  • He is doing better with each race. He is now finishing races. He got the shaft when Joe Gibbs racing wanted to bring him up, but then NASCAR said no testing. That would have been a major help for the kid.

All in all, I there is a good chance, with in a yr from now, he will get his first win. late this season or early next season.
  • Great future talent. He got really screwed when NASCAR said no testing.

He has got a good future.
  • I like him...I voted for him for the All Star race. I think he is one of NASCARS shining star rookies. He will be a champ someday.ppctechs discount code
  • What was your favorite part of All-Star week?

    May be...

  • The last segment of the All-Star race.
  • The All-Star Race!!!!
    (Even though Jeff wrecked out)

    GO 24!!!!
  • when matt kenseth blocked "block head" kyle busch on the restart.
  • 10 lap shootout. Every thing else I forced myself to watch.
  • Tony stewart winning the all star race!
  • My favorite part of the weekend was pretty simple - watching Smoke win his first race as an owner and also seeing him win his first All-Star Race. It made my night. I was happier to see Stewart win last night than I would have been if Jr had won. You could just see how much that win meant to him....
  • 1. McMurray getting into the All-Star race and finishing 9th
    2. The 10 lap shootout
    3. Tony Stewart getting his first win as an owner
  • The last 10 laps of the Allstar race, and Smoke getting that win, that was just awesome. Great weekend Smoke and the #14 team. and I do have to give a shout out to Hornaday Jr for winning the truck race also. Chevy had a great weekend.
Edit: I know this has nothing to do with Nascar in a way but, The #43 will be in the Indy 500, RIchard Petty is gonna be able to see John Andretti drive the #43 in the Indy 500, I was cheering for John to make the field and he did, Wow Richard Petty at the Indy 500. Congrats John Andretti & #43.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • the truck race was my highlite, but the burnout competiton was good........glad to see KHR win in both of those events

    KH in the burnout
    hornaday in the trucks
  • stewart winning
  • The Mets going for a four game sweep tonight against the Giants. Just have a hard time listening to "bottom feeder" and "checkers or wreckers" all night. Just an honest opinion but DW make's it nearly impossible to enjoy a Nascar race.
  • I missed pretty much all of the festivities due to having my son and I wouldn't trade that for the world. Got to see the Rangers beat Angels with my boy & dad. I did get to see Smoke cross the finish line and seeing the happiness in my wife eye's after him winning was my favorite part. Congrats Smoke fans! There is one stoked east Texan in this household. So it was a great weekend for me. ; ) Plus Kurt coming in 3rd was a plus also.
  • And did you have a blast watching all the festivities?
  • The All-Star Race with Tony Stewart winning, yes I did
  • dale earnhart jr
  • I missed a lot of the festivities...was bizzy....so I guess the All Star prerace driver intro was fun. I was online with a friend who watched his first NASCAR race..;online...and loved it so that was pretty much a great thing. He is from Montreal and doesn';t get a lot of the racing stations.
Joey getting the fan vote which wasn't much of surprise and Kyle making the race so exciting, and also Tony winning.
  • The truck race. That's about it.
  • last 10 laps I was on the edge of my seat.
  • tony stewart getting his first win :)
  • my fav part was the last segment of the all star challenge. seriously u got $1 million dollars on the line
  • 10 lap shootout at the end was great
  • I think I would have loved the burnout competition the best, but I missed it. So Tony winning it was my favorite part.
  • Pit crew challenge and for the most part yes.

How do you build and run an auto racetrack?

    May be...

  • Most of the short racetracks 1/4, 1/3, and 3/8 dirt or asphault are part of a fairgrounds in a county but what about the ones that are private property?
  • First you would have to have the property, and then you would have to go to your local City Council and show plans and get an Environmental Impact report and present it to the planning Commission.

Then you have to have the money to operate for at least three years to be safe as it would take a while to get a fan base.

Also need to go with what ever type of cars can race in your area. These days it is almost impossible to do unless you have huge backing and a huge amount of money behind you.

Then there are Sanction fees for Nascar and your local City or County Govt. Uncle Sam Dang sure will get his share off the top.
  • Wow good question, I don't know...beauty of the week jet
  • How could a banned substance benefit someone who drives a car?

    May be...

  • I don't think any driver is taking steroids. Sure you need strength to drive that car but not like steroids type strength. Racing is more about how and when you turn the wheel and not how hard you turn it. That kind of stuff plays a role in strength-based sports like baseball and football. Strength isn't a defining factor in NASCAR.

I don't think Mayfield was using steroids. I read somewhere that it was a recreational drug that was detected. I can't remember where I read it; I've been reading a lot of NASCAR news this weekend. If I find out where, I'll post it.
  • Driving and racing are two different things.

The average baseball or football player couldn't do 10 laps without their arms burning.
  • nothing
  • Um driving takes a lot out of a driver, there are pounds of preasure on a driver at each turn and hitting that wall at 200mph hurts you need a lot of strenght to avoid it
  • No athleticism or strength needed, am i right?

    Please explain
  • I don't understand why everybody is on the steroid bandwagon, nobody said it was steroids, could have been almost anything.
The reason people do drugs is not always to enhance performance and more often than not they don't.

But thanks for asking this question for the 85th time, it's hardly getting old at all.
  • I'm not saying anyone is on steroids but just using this as an example ... they could use it to boost their feelings of invincibility on the track.

    Side Effects of Steroids:
Users may suffer from paranoid jealousy (Kyle jealous of Dale)
    Extreme irritability (Kyle wrecking Dale)
Delusions (Kyle thinking someday he'll be as popular as Dale)
Impaired judgment stemming from feelings of invincibility (Reflects how he tries to wreck Dale any chance he gets).

Running from the track so NASCAR can't test him. (Truck Series)
  • Okay, Athleticism is needed and strength is also needed, but a banned substance will not benefit a driver in any way.
And If you are talking about Jeremy Mayfield, he did not, nor did Nascar admit to Steroid use.
So Who is the Driver that you think is using Steroids.
All they said in His case was that he tested positive for a banned Substance. Nascar is not saying what it was and Mayfield is Not Gonna Man up and Admit what it was Either.
  • Not necessarily a benefit, but more of a danger to the other drivers, crews, and fans on or around the track. But you are wrong about the athleticism or strength needed part. The drivers have to be in shape, able to endure extreme temperatures, and have the ability to drive a race car at high speeds.

    GO 24!!!!
  • Who needs drugs when you don't need talent.
  • Steroids are prominant in the recovery of injury and just athletic advantage. No NASCAR isn't that athletic but steroids can benefit as far as stamina and again injury recovery.
  • Wow. Go delete this question and get out of the Nascar section. I'm tired of people acting like idiots and being like, "It's just driving a car around." Nascar is most certainly not just driving a car around. We all do that every day to go to Wal mart. Speed up by 150 mph + and put 42 other cars running a foot away from you. Wear 2-3 layers of clothes, and put on a limited vision helmet. Strap your neck in so you can only see forward, and heat up the car to 120 degrees or more. Now drive around for 4 hours feeling 4+ gforces every 20 seconds. No athleticism or strength needed? I don't think so. Probably endurance enhancing drugs would benefit drivers most.
  • i think your talking about Mayfield and it wasn't roids.. it more than likely was a hallucinogenickrishners
  • Junior nation, aren't you proud...?

    May be...

  • it must be somebody's fault besides Jr. maybe everyone else shouldn't try so hard
  • He was in the Top 10 for beginning of the race, then (and I'm not TRYING to blame his crew, but this is true) all of a sudden he's back in 18th after a horrible pit stop. He worked his way back up and was almost in contention at the end, only to get passed by a bunch of other guys and finish 10th. That doesn't mean anything in the All-Star Race, but for Jr. Nation it's a helluva lot better than most of the races we've seen.
  • Yeah, he has wrecked SOOOO many other drivers. He is the only driver to cause any wrecks this season.

But, yes, it would be nice to see him continue that through the next races.
  • MR. HENDRICK SHOULD HAVE LAID THE LAW DOWN WITH JR FROM THE BEGINNING A LEFT EURY JR BEHIND. JUST THINK HOW GOOD JR COULD BE DOING IF MR HENDRICK HAD DARION GRUBB AS JR.'S CREW CHIEF..........HMMMMM.
  • junior only runs well on non-points races. He worries that he will wreck on points races so he doesnt give it his best. BTW Tony Eury is an idiot!
  • My guess is it's just because it wasn't a full length race. *shrugs*
  • that Jr. is "developing"! He actually made it through a race with all the fenders on the car and didn't wreck out another driver!

Maybe we should blame his crew and crew chief for this too, what do you think???
  • Man you are right on the money. Get rid of Eury!
  • ya lets be proud of a mediocre driver at best.....
  • yes lets hope this continues
  • Maybe it's time to get off his case!

  • Kyle busch is the biggest @$$ hole in nascar?

    May be...

  • He does not need to drive like that to win.
to take jeff gordon out like that is just ignorant.
he should be penalized for that
  • Yes he is, but he didn't wreck Jeff Gordon. Gordon wrecked himself and said so in the interview after the race.
  • kyle "pee wee"busch is the most stupidest, goofiest looking, eratic, ignorant, whiny little jack @$$ in the history of auto racing.he should most deffinatelly be penalized for that and the restarts he was doing throughout the race.
  • I'm not the biggest Kyle Busch fan, but he did nothing wrong. They were racing three wide, and something had to give. I was surprised Kyle and Ryan didn't wreck either.
  • Umm no.
It wasn't Kyle's fault. And it's racing, so if you don't like it don't watch it.
  • I am a dedicated Jeff Gordon fan and all I have to say is that was just racin'. Jeff said in the interview that he did not know it was three wide and he was already wide open. He went in hard and slid up the track and Kyle had no where to go because Ryan was there. It was unfortunate, but that is how racing goes.

    GO 24!!!!
  • Jeff Gordon took himself out, by making it 3 wide in a corner!
  • For a Million I would have done the same.
Seems to me Gordon did that once also think it was to Jeff Burton.
Get over it , Jeff did.
  • ....Checker or Wrecker..........3 wide ,all out that was racing.
Kyle did nothing wrong ,the aeriel shot Jeff comes up the track.
This was a really good allstar race, best since '92.
    Congrats Tony
  • he is an awesome driver. everyone boos him because their favorite drivers dont win as much as he does, and theyre jealous @$$holes themselves.
  • I'm no fan of either driver
but you must have been watching a different race?????

Jeff just came up into Kyle

all Kyle did was hold his line,
    (he had nowhere to go)

    it was a racin' thing,
with drivers racing on cold tires

go crawl back into yer hole
  • He is NOT the biggest @$$ hole in Nascar!! Its a fun Saturday nite race, he did nothing wrong, get off him!!
  • This is big boys' saturday nite driving not yo mamma takes you shopping to KMart.
  • I dont fault Kyle for the wreck, it was just hard racing!
  • Give me a Million $$ and I'd made Kyle Busch look like a real wussy. I'd be his worst enemy ever. Heck theres a Million $$ at stake you go all out no matter what, theres a race to win get outta my way.. Its all out for 10 laps whooooooo hoooooo. Congrats Smoke. No penalties needed for Rowdy, theres no points at stake, its a race your A** off and the best or worse driver wins....Tonight Smoke was the Best.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • first off, its the all-star race. driving like an @$$hole is what you are supposed to do.

secondly, wtf did kyle do wrong? There was no room for Newman, no room for Kyle, and Gordon has half the track but he's too dumb to check up, runs full throttle up the racetrack and then loses the air and spins out.

I hate Kyle Busch with a passion, but you make him look like gold to me. HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.
  • Suuuuuuuurprise suuuuuuuuuurprise. We found a whiny anti-Busch fan!

It was Gordons fault he wrecked. In case you didn't notice, Kyle got sandwiched between Gordon and Newman. Jeff ended up ruining the night for both Kyle and Newman.
  • Looked to me like Kyle was more in control that JG was. Kyle didn't come down, JG went up high. Sorry for the Gordon fans.
  • It's All-Star racing. Even Jeff said as much. It's supposed to be like this. It's a treat for the drivers and the fans. The fans get to see an exciting race with the drivers racing all out and screw the big picture.
  • he is the biggest @$$hole in nascar. for a million bucks i would drive like that :)
  • he is but not because of that....he drives over his @$$ every race couldnt expect anything less.....Congrats to TONY!!!!!!!!!
  • Drop the crack pipe. Kyle is lucky Jeff didn't wreck him out.
  • Hell I drive like that to get home after work
  • Yes, he probably is. BUT he had that honor before tonight.
  • Well I'm dissapointed but Kyle did nothing wrong. It's just what happens in the All-Star race. Every driver is going all out trying to win. Kyle, Gordon and Newman just ran out of race track. 3 wide coming out of turn 4 at Lowe's is a wreck waiting to happen. Someone was going to wreck, there just wasn't any room to race.
  • Kyle was not in the wrong here tonight. It was Gordon who came up. there was no where for Kyle to go, he had Newman on the other side of him. Was he supposed to take Newman out for the "all wonderful" Jeff Gordon? (who, btw, i think is the biggest *** in nascar)
  • Well, if I were racing for a million dollars, I would do whatever it takes to win!

Quite frankly, I've always thought Kyle Busch was an A$$HOLE. He is a talented driver, but his personality is abrasive to say the least.
  • The biggest @ss hole is DARREL WALTRIP! Fire this moron already!
  • Jeff was getting hard into the turn and Kyle kept him pined down and Jeff slid up the track. That's perfectly legal. Tony Stewart's car was probably the only one that would run on the bottom and that won him the race. Now Kyle didn't mind squeezing his car in between Jeff and Matt on the previous restart.
  • IT IS IGNORANT I AGREE WITH YOU 100000000000000%
  • How did he take him out? You're just looking for reasons to feel bad. Jeff Gordon came up, Kyle came down just a little, to stay off Newman who came down off the corner, and all three of them hit. It's called R A C I N G. Jeff Gordon said it was the All Star race, and he didn't even know they were three wide. That stuffs gonna happen, it made it exciting, which is something that has lacked a lot in NASCAR lately. You are just looking for something to get upset about. It's a non points race, no penalties are gonna happen for wrecks.

Oh yeah, and there's a million dollars on the line, do you think with 8 to go they are just gonna wave each other by?
  • Rubbin's racin'.homeopathic laborator
  •
