Sorry but you're outta luck on that one. No Jr @ NYC. He didn't finish in the top 10. The top 10, plus those receiving other special awards. Only the Top 10 get to go to the Championship Banquet in NYC, which are: Johnson, Edwards, Biffle, Harvick, Bowyer, Burton, J. Gordon, Hamlin, Stewart and Kyle Busch.
However, they have other rewards during the week such as Regan Smith winning Rookie of the Year, and I'm pretty sure that Dale will get the Most Popular Driver reward again, but he will not be on stage at the Banquet like the Top 10 will. That's just not right in not letting Jr come to the banquet. Its atrocious. He is the bestest driver in the world and needs to be there. Im going to write mr fance and helton. Junior Nation, lets protest on nascar. JR will be there but he wont be part of the award ceremony,but he will be there next year!!!! I really want to see dale jr but i'm not sure if only the top 10 drivers will be there. Can anyone help please !!!h2210 rom

Massa is perfectly OK and Webber should be making a full recovery. Let's pray that he gets well soon.

It doesn't bother me a bit.If you've still got it,go for it.Look at how well Brett Favre has been doing with the Jets this year.They have a legitimate shot at the playoffs and the Super Bowl.Mark Martin has done well in his part-time endeavors and I am sure that he will do great next year.I feel that if you have the passion and the opportunity to still participate in your sport of choice,then you should go for it. I wouldn't be upset. I'm glad Mark Martin is back full time. I think he still has something left to offer the sport and its fans. I feel the same way about Brett Favre. Remember when Kenny Wallace started that rumor that Rusty was going to come out of retirement? A lot of people were really excited. So I think it depends on if the individual in question still can contribute to his or her team. Happy. They are human and maybe they think they are ready and when the time comes and they realize maybe they aren't ready to release those emotions of what they had or maybe they feel like there is still more that they can contribute.Pure and Simple yes i would be Happy because it makes them happy. To those people who get upset about someone coming out of retirement I say "So you've never changed your mind?" They need to try and put themselves in other peoples' shoes. They should try retiring from something they love. I have and it sucks. ...if a driver were to retire and then come back? Or any sports figure for that matter? This was exactly what happened in the NFL when Brett Favre retired, only to come back and play for the Jets. In NASCAR, Mark Martin was supposed to retire in 2005, only to stay in '06, then run part-time in '07 and '08, and now he is returning to full-time racing in 2009. It doesn't bother me, but it seems like many people have been upset about someone saying they would retire and then break their commitment to come back. So, what do you think? If someone were to retire and then come back, would you be happy to see the person come back or upset that they would say they would retire and then return to the sport? I'd rejoice, especially if he was still in his prime. I don't like it, their making their decisions too fast, they give us time to move on and decide to stay and mess everyone's plans up. The plans of the fas looking for a new driver and the new driver looking to take over for him. It depends on if they're past their prime or not.
It's better to go out on top or semi-on top than to hang onto a dream that has expired.
If they've still got it, they may as well use it.
But they really should make 110% sure that they want to retire, before announcing it. HAPPY! We traded Ray Bourque BEFORE retirement to give him a chance at the Stanley and all of Boston cried when Colorado didn't win the cup that year and then we all rejoiced when they won the next.
If our heroes actually could make their dreams come true, we'd all be happy. One of the great things about the country that we live in is the fact that people have a free choice of how they want to make a living. I feel if you are still capable of being competitive in your chosen sport then you should be able to compete for as long as you wish. On the other hand, if I were an owner, like Jack Roushe, and my driver retired only to come back to compete against me, I may feel differently. The bottom line is, however, Mark Martin is free to do as he chooses. So, no I do not have a problem with it. I don't really like it, I happen to be a Green Bay fan and that whole situation just divided fans of the team and Brett, I don't hate Brett at all, but the way it worked out just sucked. For me it depends on who we are talking about.

Brett Favre I feel he betrayed Green Bay and all his adoring fans. Lambeau Field lost the best quarterback ever known. How do the fans cope with him going to the Jets? That is a hard pill to swallow. He should have stayed retired and if he had any doubts should have stayed with the Packers. Mark Martin annoys me. I thought he would retire after 05. Then a full year with AAA sponsor, then a part time job in 07 and last year. Now a full time job at Hendricks? Make up your mind Mark, you still have talent. I dont like it when guys do that. I would say 50 50 To tell you the truth, probably not. I did some quiz on the Pepsi Racing site to see if I'm just like Jeff and I got most of them wrong lol. I was a little surprised about that. However, we can relate to always staying positive. My public speaking needs a LOT of work, I am hardworking, loyal and honest. I don't think I am better than anyone else, I am down to earth and pretty laid back except for my need for speed! I love going to the track. I have a group of friends I love dearly whom I trust completely and boy can we make each other laugh till it hurts. Oh, & I do sure do love a good party ;) Yep, my man is Kenseth. I'm laid back. I avoid the spotlight when possible. I avoid controversy when possible but stand up for myself when it finds me. Early on he was nowhere near me in personality wise. But the last year and a half I say yes we are. He has been toned down on his on track incidences and have gave alot to his charity and had that Kurt Busch superdome built at VJG camp. He also complimented Jimmie Johnson runs for a three peat. He knew he was witnessing greatness and said it in his interviews. yes you are. thats neat that I also see him in you. .

But after he was having so much trouble in the chase and was getting down on himself...well I was just as down for him.

GREAT QUESTION!!!! From what I've read/seen I'd say we have some common personality traits: usually quiet, laid back, blunt, sometimes short fuse, tendency to speak before thinking. Gotta love it! Yes I am just like Jeff Gordon ,I didn't win a race this year either ! Exactly like Robby Gordon.
-I like to be independent (own my own business and work for it or family--dad like I do now)
-I take no crap from people and am just out in life doing what I enjoy (like Robby does with racing)
-I love variety. Robby likes variety in his different styles of racing (off road, nascar, etc.) I like variety in my life.
-Attitude. I got one too but I can drop it if need be (as he can) and am very excepting of other legitimate people.
-Just having fun. I like to just have fun, as Robby does and I love to drive. that tells me to stay away from you before you put me in the wall or wreck and take me with you Personality wise?
I think we all subconsciously pick a driver that is just like us beause me and Elliott Sadler have very similar personalities. Absolutely.However,it is not the personality that you see on tv.Jimmie has a very crazy,playful type of personality off the track.He let a little of that shine through on NASCAR Victory Lane last Sunday.Did anyone see that?For those who didn't,Jimmy Spencer was asking Jimmie about keeping up the good work and he accidentally said,"how do you get it up" and Jimmie started laughing and said,"did you just ask me how I get it up?"LOL Truex Jr and Menard

I like Elliot's attitude ,he is just a laid back cool dude. As far as his season ,let me just say that I wish he was in a Chevy ! I like his overall attitude as driver and he has a heart of a great person. They dont make too many of these kinda guys in the garage. I think Elliott will have a much better year that this year. GEM will hopefully get their kinks out and puts out some decent equipment for Elliott, Kasey and Reed. I like his personality best.He is such a great guy and one of those that you would like to see do well.
Did anyone see Hermie Sadler get his butt kicked on TNA wrestling last night?My dad watches that crap and I was snoozing in the chair and all I heard them say Hermie's name.Apparently,he is doing some kind of show with them or something lol.Anyway,he got clobbered(fakely,of course). He keeps his head up. He may have a bad race, but he doesn't let that affect him next race. i think he will do well next year. i can see him winning a race or two. He's funny, nice, and I love that Virginia accent of his! Besides, he always has a positive attitude, no matter what happens. I'd like to see him have a good and successful year. Lol I like best that no matter how crappy a race goes and no matter how bad he or is team screwed up, he always thanks him and is optimistic about the next week. Every week he says he is looking for the win, I like that. How do you think he will do next season with the changes? Let me count the ways:
1) He's funny as heck.
2) He's laid-back and has a good attitude, no matter what happens during the race.
3) He's a better driver than most people think. He just has the worst luck.
4) His accent.
5) His broad shoulders <LOL.>
6) His looks in general. The boy is HOT. Though I wish he'd grow his hair back out and bring back the goatee. He's better scruffier.
I'm hoping he'll improve next season. He's had a full season with the COT now. Maybe he needs is to borrow Jimmie Johnson's horseshoe. He is a super sweet nice guy, he really takes the time to get to know his fans and well he is hot!!!!!! Sadler is a solid driver week in week out. Just has some bad luck.
He will run hot sooner or later. I like that he is a very down to earth guy. He could be the guy next door. He is also a very good and optimistic driver. he IS a great driver. One with some bad luck though. And his attitude is mostly so upbeat even after a wreck or a flat...and ya gotta know it frustrates him to no end but he is always looking to the next race. He rarely finishes ahead of the 17.bullitens
