May be...
Also, the track designs for F1 are usually more more interesting than a boring old oval.
Dear Jessica, i suggest you watch the upcoming race in France this Sunday and see for yourself why F1 is - not better - but the best!
EDIT
No wonder I'm getting so many thumb downs.
I forgot it was the F1 section...
EDIT
Well sassy Tbone lol.
Don't have to get mad I mean sheesh...
I'm giving my point of view.
Your not discussing F1 neither huh?????
So we are even know.Comprendo!? lol
I say this because of the sponsors, you look at F1 and they have all this corporations like ING, Vodafone, AT&T, Emirates etc. It's almost like a statement about the size of your corporation to be in F1. An exception to this is Redbull racing, they do advertise an actual product and they are pretty much omnipresent in motorsport.
In nascar you see this cars with MnM's ads. There's actually nothing wrong with that in fact it just means the ads are more oriented towards actual product promotion. But as you can see obviously there's more money in F1 and as I said this translates in a more elaborate show.
I think it's a bit smug to say that F1 is 'better'. It's different and it is seen by lots of people around the world so you might want to check it out just to see what all the fuss is about.
EDIT: By the way the next race, the French Grand Prix, is this sunday, it should be in the morning for the USA, they have the exact time / time converter at formula1.com.
guessing you're a fat american who has no brain....
If I could afford to eat at top restaurants all the time, I would so I prefer F1. Nothing wrong with the drivers in NASCAR - - they are good at what they do but the cars leave me cold. It just doesn't interest me as - for me - it is a bit of a soap opera.
the single biggest reason is, put the two in the same track to race each other and the f1 car wins, you could even swap drivers, and the f1 car still wins,
technology - f1 pionears technology for the entire automotive world, nascar still uses carburators, and just this year stoppes using leaded fuel, that puts a nascar about 20 to 30 years behind my pontiac g6
tracks - higher bank, lower bank ture oval, or tri oval, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 mile ovals, not a big diffrence, where as f1 tracks are fairly unique with individual charicter, though i will admit all the new tracks are becomming flat and bland,
race finishes - in f1 the best car wins unless he crashes
in nascar the 2nd or 3rd car when the phantom caution drops is usually the winner
things nascar does right compaired to f1,
drivers do inter views, we get more of the individuals personality , f1 we get "how are you running on fuel" the answer is a nervous smile, nascar is talking to crew chiefs tire guys and team owners during the race, f1 doesnt,
nascar has far more on track action the bad side is the first 3 hours of a race mean nothing, it can be shortened to a half hour 20 lap sprint to achieve the same goal , f1 badly needs to fix its on track action and i think next seasons rules will do this
nascar does a far better job of promotion here in the states than f1 does,
Of tracks
Of car designs ( not ammounts)
Of countries
Of driver/ fan nationality
of horsepower
and a greater level of technology, I understand ( though I don't personally) the attraction of NASCAR but I feel it is one of the weaker forms of motorsport, Indy car is ok though....
