Days of Thunder movie..........?

yes on the first and second one and no on 3.

No he wasn't.. At least not the entire movie..
One scene was BASED on an anecdote about Tim Richmond..
The one where he goes berserk, and crashes into the Taxi cab,
and Nicole Kidman gets angry..
Tim really did that at Fort Lauderdale International Airport with James
Johnson (the manager of Hendrick Motor Sports, at the time.. Not to be confused with Jimmie) halfway out of the car, after James delivered his
new Corvette..
The rest of the movie was invented, with a couple of stories thrown in
that involved other drivers..
Some of the characters, on the other hand, were loosely based on real people..

who cares............i dont think u are gonna go around daytona at race speed in reverse,then pit and fix the transmission w/out going a lap down,then hit the wall 100 times,then when the race..............the movie to me was a waste of my time and so far fetched,it was just to the piont of idiocy,

The DVD The Ride Of Their Lives has a whole segment on Tim Richmond.

I enjoyed that DVD very much.

Wasn't Cole Trickle (Tom Cruise) supposed to portray Tim Richmond in that movie. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Tim Richmond die of AIDS? Was there anything about this in the movie?

yes he was. Tim did die of complications from AIDS. After his death a former girlfriend came forward and said that she was HIV positive and likely infected him.
