it's not original, many have done it, it's a tribute to the late great Allan Kulwicki,it was his signuture Polish victory lap, he died an a plane crash as the reigning Winston cup champ.

I like it. Atleast he has won something(points race) that he can call something for and he let his fans choose.

Wouldn't mind seeing it a few more times this season.

I think it was kool, no matter what you call it. The drivers seem to be developing their own "signature thing" after a win; ie: Carl's flip, Kyle's bow, etc. Why not have an "unwind" lap.

Unwind lap has a nice ring to it. I thought it was pretty cool, something new rather than just doing the regular donuts.

Hopefully Jimmie Johnson will win today and follow the "Unwind Lap" tradition.

So what do you think of the name? Kurt was being interviewed this a.m. on "NASCAR Racing" and that's what he and some friends have named his backward driving victory lap! I think it's kind of cool! What do you all think?
