The only fat NASCAR driver I can think of is Tony Stewart, and he can still climb a fence, so there aren't many overweight nascar drivers. try again.

Tony is the only one I can think of who gives the appearance of being a little thick in the middle. But as several here have pointed out, he still ingresses and egresses the windows pretty well, and is only First in the points standings. This in spite of fielding his own 2009 startup team, with himself and another (Ryan Newman) as the two team drivers. His plight could be likened to Hamilton or even better, Brawn. Both startup teams this year with unexpected and amazing results thus far in the season. Quite an accomplishment for both, and Button only has to drive; Tony has to deal with ownership issues as well.

Like F-1, there are many finer nuances to Nascar racing that the casual or occasional observer might not notice. Each venue - Nascar and F-1 - has their own positives and negatives. Neither is without sin, so to speak. You might want to re-think anything which could be construed as an attack; many Nascar fans are pretty fanatical and don't take kindly to comments they feel denigrate their races, cars, teams or drivers.

Me, I know you for your on-line persona and take no real offence at your mindless comments. ;-) As you know, I have a great deal of respect for your overall racing acumen. But please take my warm advice; fix your bloody keyboard and try to remember, it's NASCAR, not NAPCAR. That's the sort of comment which will raise the collective ire of those fans on these pages, and leave you swirling in the maelstrom of resentment and angry written retribution.

Ehm, I still love you, but I'm not sure many of these NASCAR fans feel the same warmth toward you at this moment..

Tony Stewart had to quit indycar because he was too big for the car but Nascar he seems to be able to get in fine and win.Doors are not very safe and areodynamic.

Actually most Nascar drivers are in very good shape. There are a few that could lose a few pounds but almost all drivers are in great shape.

Did you mean NASCAR? If so then I am not sure what fat drivers you are referring to. People say Tony Stewart is slightly overweight but he doesn't have a problem getting in and out of the car. You should provide more evidence to support your claim, unless you are just on here to try and bother NASCAR fans.

Edit: We all get frustrated when trolls invade a section, but they just expect you to do the same thing. Just remember that even though somebody provoked you in the F1 section, they aren't the ones you are getting back by coming here. You just have to ignore or report the obvious trolls until they go away.

The only fat guy in Nascar is Tony Stewart. He won the IRL championship in 1997 and just won last Saturday.

Allan, you may not have noticed, but Formula 1 cars don't have doors do they? It's all for safety reasons.

NASCAR drivers are more likely to be on the larger side because they spend much longer sitting down. These races last for 4 or 5 hours at a time you know.
