What would be a good car to use in a demo derby?

older 60's model "tank" V8...junker is better but has to have a heart of gold.

get a station wagon or somethin like that. the stiffer the back the better since that is what you ram people with. make sure to build a strong cage that will last lots of hits. good luck

I was just at a demo derby on saturday and from my observations i noticed that cars that were squared off did really well because it takes more force to smash them in. Dont buy a tiny car that is rounded off or anything. get a really ridged car.

i wanna get a cheep old 4 cyl. car and make it demo Derby ready. it will be my first time and i want to make sure i don't screw it up ;p so does anybody know of a good car from personal experience?

from experience i've won with a '95 Ford Tempo
but any vehicle that runs and moves well is good
set a budget on what you are willing to put into it
i've been racing for 22 years and don't have a preferance
and have run most catagories of vehicles
i would say your choices are buy something cheap
or spend extra and get something that runs well thats solid
to me it all depends on your mechanical ability
and just have funtreo virus protection
