May be...
in most peoples heart Dale Earnhardt was the best,
but if you go to the log book, its gotta be Richard Petty.
It hurts me bad to say that but you gotta call a spade,a spade
No, just kidding. I'm going to say David Pearson.
and then Richard Petty
In my opinion, had he lived, Davey Allison would be in the Top 5 greatest drivers ever. I think he'd have at least 60 career wins, and I think Jeff Gordon and Davey woulda battled it out at least once for the championship and Davey would've won it, and maybe one or two more.
From 1985-1993 (when he died midway through the season) Every season he raced in the Cup series, he had at least 2 wins (even his rookie season and '93, when he died halfway through the season). THAT is an achievement.
H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
here's why:
-he has won 82 races in arguably the most competitive era of Nascar
-he would be going for his 7th championship this year, under the same rules Petty and Earnhardt had to win theirs by
-he has more poles than anyone in the modern era
-2 more wins and he has the most wins in the modern era
-he remained competitive his WHOLE career
why other drivers are not:
Richard Petty
-the only reason Petty has 200 wins is because they raced 60 times a year
-Petty went win-less the last 8 years of his career
-wn races on dirt
-David Pearson was better than Petty
Dale Earnhardt
-won championships against easy competition
-Jeff Gordon has more wins than him
-was dominant until Gordon came in
-most of his wins are at plate tracks
David Pearson,we can only wonder what he could have done if he raced full time
Jeff Gordon is the greatest of all-time
Go Dale Jr & Hms
