Sprint Cup drivers driving in NNS?

May be...

  • Doesnt bother me, if it keeps ticket sales going then its a win win for all of us. Imagine if they didnt have the money to continue, we would all lose.
  • i think the that cup drivers shouldnt race for points in busch series( i still call it busch cause nationwide sounds wrong). Some people say it is only exciting because the cup drivers but it might be a better race with a bunch of guys that are even in skill. C'mon Buschwackers, youve already got a ride, give the others a chance to get noticed. There should be a few exeptions like for a cup series rookie or a cup driver not locked into every race.
  • I agree, I don't think full-time Sprint Cup drivers should drive in the Nationwide series. I don't think that will ever happen though, so I would support a limit on how many races they can run or giving them no points.
  • The answer is no, they shouldn't be able.

I liked this question better when I asked it all of two weeks ago.
  • I'd love to see Kyle Busch win both the Sprint Cup and the Nationwide Cup this year. He's got a h@ll of a good shot at doing it too.
  • The good thing about them being able to drive in the nationwide races is it helps ticket sales and commercial sales for the event. I'd like to see nascar limit the number of races a driver could be in it to give the younger drivers a chance to have their own points battle
  • What are your comments on this in NASCAR? Should Cup drivers not be allowed to drive, or should the Nationwide Series develop a system to not give the part time Nationwide Series drivers no points. Because if I have a legit chance at a championship in the NNS, i dont want some hot shot showing off by racing in the league below, and taking possible points from my campaign. Personally, i think they should not be allowed at all to race in the NNS, they have enough to deal with in the Sprint Cup, there is no need for this. I dont mind guys that race full-time in both series, but dont ruin the NNS drivers by racing once in a while, and picking up a win...It would be like Pujols playing in AAA so he can hit 60+ HR, and ruin many pitchers ERA...Its just not necessary...

    Comments....
  • I am fine with Cup Series drivers in the Busch Series. I don't think that part time drivers should get any points at all though. In the Cup or Busch Series. BUT, if they race the whole season, sure.
  • I don't like Cup driver's racing in the Nationwide series and never have.

It hurts the little guy in the Nationwide series ,because the Cup guy's end up taking the spot that would of other wise been filled by a Nationwide driver and due to this the low budget Nationwide team's are having to close their door's.

The Nationwide series was intended to be a scout farm for up and coming Cup driver's.Now Cup owner's are resorting to open wheel driver's.
  • I would have said no last year. But now the Cup drivers go and drive in the Nationwide race to have fun now. It used to help them a little when both the Cup and Nationwide ran the same cars. But now the COT in the Cup series it's all about fun. And now with the Nationwide series thinking about going to the Challeneger for Dodge, Camaro for Chevrolet, and Mustang for Ford, it's going to be more about fun than ever before
  • How fast can Bandolero cars go?

    May be...

  • It all depends on the track.

On a 1/4 mile asphalt oval, probably 50-60 mph.
On larger tracks, much faster, probably around 70mph.
On 1/4 dirt tracks, probably around 40-50mph.
  • Just curious
  • Who's points is Casey Mears running on?

    May be...

  • They are still using the top 35 owner points of 2007. And he is using the points by Kyle Busch last season.
  • This year's top thirty five in owners' points provisionals don't kick in until after the first five races of the season, which means after Bristol. He finished in fifteenth last year in the 25, and those are the points that the 88 car has. Kyle Busch finished fifth in the 5 car, and those are the owners points for Casey Mears for the first five races.
  • He hasn't finished a race yet!
  • Theres only been 2 races and there 34 more geez, don't worry about Casey he is with HMS he will get some great finishes and a win or 2..Its to early to call up the doom ship yet...Casey is in the top 35 owners points from last yr...just hang on..DON'T PANIC.
  • This years points don;t kick in unil after Bristol. He finished in the top 20 last year, but for thes first 5 raced he is actually running on Kyle Busch's points. Doesn;t really matter whos he is using, either way he is locked in for the 1st 5.
  • He finished in 16th place on his own in 2007!!!!!!
  • he only has 95 because he switched to the 5 car kyle took them points with him to the 18 righht now hes 42 in points
  • dont worry he is a hendrick guy have you seen his teammates
  • for the first 5 races mears is running on the 5s owner points from last year

  • The new NASCAR commercial?

    May be...

  • Toby Lightman is the singer!!!!!!!
  • Love it!
Wish I could find a download for a ringtone for it.
lemme know if you you do
  • i love that song it keeps running in my head cannot shake it.
  • Her name is Toby Lightman featuring D.W....and i think the songs is called ("Boogity Boogity Boogity") "Let's go racin boys" it is a catchy little tune huh?? i find myself singing it as im doing stuff, ha ha ha....lol!!!

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!
  • I cant think of the song or who its by.

It goes something like tis and its sang by a girl

Let's go racing boys, Lets go racing boys

    or...

NASCAR Racing boys, Nascar racing boys.

    Somethinng like that.
  • Ed P has it right Toby Lightman.
  • If Dale Earnhart Jr. were to drive a season in F1?

    May be...

  • He is a average driver in Nascar, so in F1 he couldnt probally make the field every week. Last names dont carry any weight in F1.
  • Jr. wouldn't like it. Its not a chevy. The last time I looked, I didn't see any bowties on the track.
  • He'D probably suck there too
  • Depending on the team.
Ferrari, McClaren, Renault. He would have shot
    Anyone else nope.
  • Yes he would !
  • not going to happen.right now he is with hms and has a awesome chance at the championship in nascar
  • Well I do not think he could do any worse than Scott Speed, if he had a decent ride,Mclaren or Ferrari, hey you'll never know, cause he'd never do it.. He is 100% all Nascar, and maybe some Aussie V8's someday, he has said he'd love to do that.
  • I know this is a joke. Are you serious? He wouldn't make it therough the first turn of the first segment.
  • I hardly think so--He hasnt really came close to a Nascar Championship in his year of running Cup Cars--So put him in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CAR and I dont think he would come close to the Top 10 in Points let alone a Championship!!!!!!!
  • would he have any chance at all of winning the championship?
  • As much chance as the other drivers, but it depends on which car he drove: a Force 1ndia winning a championship? Not even with Schumi behind the wheel of that turd.

    Leon [BMW Sauber/Nick Heidfeld fan]
    Chesterfield, England
  • no and I am an earnhardt fan

moving from stock to open wheel or the other way around is not easy. he might have success but winning a championship would take him alot of years I would bet
  • He wouldn't make the first lap without running into something or someone.

    Warren Wallace?

    May be...

  • Not related and it;s too bad that Geico won;t be allowed in the nationwide series after this year. THose are great commercials.
  • he's the cutest one next to herman that is
  • loren yep hes my favorite wallace
  • no
  • No I dont believe he is Related !!!!!!
  • Its Lauren Wallace, Im not for sure but at California last week Junior wanted a picture with him and he took one with Junior at Jr's request. He has officially made it bigtime now.
  • He's a great kid though. I hope he does put Mike Wallace in the wall sometime.
  • not sure...might be mike's son.
  • sorry i was going to ask the kid myself, but he was a million miles away, ready to strike to put Mike into the wall.
  • It's LOREN WALLACE......really seriously!!!!!
    its definatly not warren......
    Yes..the commercials crack me up!!!!!
Whatever....love that one and the one where he shrugs of Mike!!! Lol....good stuff!!!!

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!
  • the kid in the Geico commercials, is he really related to the Wallace's ?
  • I believe his name is Lauren Wallace. That kid is hilarious. It always ends with me putting him to the wall. Great stuff.
  • it's actually spelled loren, i got that straight from gieco, and no, he's not related. he's an actor
  • Is Dale Earnhart Jr a good race car driver?

    May be...

  • He is a good driver, yes. I don't think he is a great driver.
  • He's at what now? 63 races without a win? Failed to make the Chase last year, and has no Championships. He doesn't impress me, I feel there are far better drivers in the Sprint series.
  • Yes, he is a good driver!!!

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!
  • yes dale jr is a good driver and i beg to differ with that.

    Go dale jr go!!!
  • Yes, if you watch a lot of races he is an instinctive driver. He has made moves against what his spotter has told him and come out good on the other side. He is not perfect, nor is anyone else. But he has definitely got a talent and a feel for the race car and the track that not everyone has. Another good driver is Kasey Kahne, his rookie year he showed some excellent driving skills and still does. Best thing about Dale Jr is his honesty and the way he tells it like it is. That's what sets the men apart from the boys in anything.
  • no no no no no
  • He is above average and his strengths are the Restrictor Plate Track on these he is one of the Best!!!!!!
  • Yeah. Not sure he'll be the caliber his Dad was. Hopefully, he has a lot of years ahead of him. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I'd like to see him overcome the turmoil he's faced these past years and begin concentrating on his driving.
  • Junior is an "upper middle" level driver. He is able to do better but the Wall Street/sponsor-advertisement influance takes too much away from him.
  • hes only average...not great. his Dad was great.
  • With the field thats out their now??....I'd say he was good....
But it has to stop there !!! You can't think about the #3 car,in the SHADOW'S !!!...The same with Kyle Petty...Thats not a ,
''70''Superbird.,with the #43 painted on it either...
  • Yes he is a good racecar driver, all of them are as matter of fact. He is a heck of driver now he has Hendrick power under the hood and the best race engineers in the business.
  • Good but not great.
  • no, he is just the son of a great nascar driver and the people cant watch sr. anymore so they go for jr. which sucks....
  • in my opinion(and i know im gonna get thumbed down)...hes the best restrictor plate racer in nascar!!!...however i think he struggles on short tracks..but to me hes still a good race car driver!
  • He is not the best, but I would say even with a bad start he is in the top 10
  • Yes, check out the spring Martinsville race in 2006, got a top-5 missing a fender and part of the nose. Even though he hasn't won in 68 races he still is 4th in wins since 2000(behind Gordon,Johnson, and Stewart and is tied with Kurt Busch). To the person who said he does great at plate tracks and not on short ones, Jr's got almost as many wins at Richmond than at Talladega.
  • He is a lot better than his recent record shows. He can drive a car that is torn up and with old tires to a top ten finish. He also has some of the best car control abilities in the field, and his instincts as a driver are better than average.
  • I'm a die hard Dale Jr fan, true he is not his dad. He is a good driver, he is not a great driver yet...Hopefully with HMS equipment this yr he can become that great driver, that he is fully capable of becoming...

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • NO HE IS THE BEST
  • His dad was great at wrecking other drivers to steal a win. So far Junebug hasn't been doing that, but he has gotten good at blowing up engines!
  • He is not in the top elite of drivers. I place him in the middle of the pack of drivers. Someone who hasn't won a race in 63 races, won a championship & failed to make chase, to me me isn't a good race car driver. He just has the last name that is famous in NASCAR driving
  • Yes, but there's several better drivers. He might be better now that he's at Hendrick though.
  • how do you get a bunch of points if you are the one askingthe question??? it deducts 5 points for the question and then only gives back i think 3 if you choose a best answer... Report It
  • Just give him time and he will be a great driver now that he is at HMS !
  • He is a GOOD driver but no where near great.
  • No. He is not. He rides on the name of his father who was a good race car driver.
  • He has a lot of driving skills. He's proven he can win a race (17 in Cup) and even win a championship (2 in Nationwide).

The thing I've noticed though is that SOME of his strategic decisions are HORRIBLE.
  • YES
  • Yes like everyone else said good not great!

Jeff Gordon is prob the best and prob the most hated...haha
  • Of course he is!! He gives it his all every week and usually stays in the race all race long. He's a fighter and most definitely a good NASCAR driver!
  • At what age can a child get into the gocart type racing?

    May be...

  • most places ive taken my son to have an age limit of 12 or 14 but im pretty sure there are other places around that let kids start as young as 8
  • I think 8 years old is the norm. But you can get them started ealier in some places.

What is the average weight loss for an F1 driver during a single race?

I see you found someone to take the points...

  • To be precise with it is 1.5Kg when he sweats through out the race and the car losses 5kg due to wear.
  • Can we get duplicate tickets from TicketMaster?

    May be...

  • sure u can print then out thru ur email. they will scan it at the event
  • If you got them VIA a email, you can (It's like a $2.50 charge when you purchase them.) However I'm not sure if you got them mailed.
  • I'm afraid that you're probably out of luck. According to the TicketMaster's website, it's up to the company's discretion whether or not to reissue the tickets. Usually, if they're dealing with a corporation they will work with you, but the average Joe isn't likely to get a break.

Not to speak badly of TicketMaster, but let's face it. I'm sure they've had lots of people (not you necessarily) try almost any fraudulent means to exploit the service. They're just protecting themselves.

Maybe if you sound sincere when you explain your situation, they'll waive their normal service fees. It is a fairly large purchase for "an average Joe."
  • I'd just call the ticketmaster you purchased from & find out. They will have record & there's a definate paper trail! These seats are sold & won't be re-sold.
  • I was cleaning house Saturday accidentally threw away two NASCAR tickets worth $480. We bought the tickets through TicketMaster on a corporate American Express credit card. The tickets were not insured, but we have the purchase receipt and all transaction-related emails.

Is there anything we can do to get duplicate tickets or do we have to "eat" the $480?
  • I think it would be 100,000 times more vital to call ticketmaster and explain your problem then wasting time here. You should have called Saturday. If the tickets were emailed you could have simply printed another copy but I believe your out of luck. The tickets usually state right on the back that ticketmaster is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. I think you just lost a lot of money. Why would you just assume the tix were not in the UPS envelope?

It sux Cameo. I feel bad for you and your husband. I would use that ladylike attitude and try to plead with them to do a recopy of the tickets somehow or even pay a small fee for new seats.

    Good luck!
