Where can you buy new # 14 stuff?

May be...

  • I haven't seen anything yet in my neck of the woods....but I am sure it's only a matter of time. With Stewart as popular as he is...it'll be every where by the 500. Just an opinion as always.
  • http://www.tonystewartstore.com/ or http://racingusa.com/tonystewart.html and I have seen #14 stuff at Target but only shirts and stickers.
  • Is anybody seen new Tony Stewart stuff in stores yes.If so where?
  • Some at NASCAR superstore but most will not come out until after New Year
  • There are some diecasts here.

    It doesn't look like a whole lot is available yet for the new 14 car. Maybe they are holding off to give the Home Depot stuff a chance to clear out.

    Which of these two would you rather have drive your car?

    May be...

  • bobby labonte
  • eLLIOTT sADLER.
  • HOW COME THE PROFESSOR COULD BUILD A RADIO FROM A COCONUT BUT COULDN'T FIX THE HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE BOAT????????
  • I like Bobby. Always have, and would like to see him in a full time ride. But Elliot is the one I want driving my car.
  • I'm going with Elliott Sadler on this one, heck Labonte has that past champion thing he can fall back on.. Besides, Elliott is so cool, and he's a good friend of Dale Jr.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • kind of depends. lol

    if I had a good sponsor, Sadler

    if trying to start new team, LaBonte, he is going to get everything out of car but wont wreck it trying to get more, very consistent
  • Bobby's got more success in the past and still performed better than Sadler as recently as last season. I'd take him easily.
  • both
  • sadler
  • Well, since Bobby Labonte ranks second on my favorite driver's list, Bobby can still race, but he needs a good ride to make a top 20 finish each race.
  • Both! Elliott Labonte. :) Elliott is ahead of Bobby on my totem pole of favorite drivers. Bobby is a class dude as well. Tough one. I would create two driving jobs. We can always use more jobs right?

    Happy New Year Nascar Nation and Mr President!
  • Sorry to say, but you can't bet against someone that can bring a past champions provisional to your car. I'd say Sadler if he was one, but I have to say Labonte.
  • They're both good but I would have to go with Sadler. I've always thought he is a much better driver than his number of wins reflects. He had a lot of top 10 finishes in that #38 car. None of the Dodges have done well the last couple of years. Maybe Sadler and Labonte should try to drive Toyotas next year. Then we could see if these two popular drivers could turn their careers around.(Let the thumbing down begin.LOL!)
  • I think I would have Elliott Sadler drive. If Sadler would get a good ride I think that he could be great.
  • Now you've lost it Tom. I gotto go rehearse. Go get an underage drunk on and play "you're time is gonna come" man.
  • LOL honestly id go with Bobby. Hes proven that with good equipment he can win and not only win, but win championships. Were as Elliott has only won 3 races in 357 starts. Thats not that good.
  • Elliott Sadler
  • Elliott Sadler but I like Bobby too.
  • bobby labonte.
  • I THINK ELLIOT NEEDS A CHEVY RIDE WITH STEWART AND HE WOULD ROCK THE TRACK
  • Hmm...probably Bobby Labonte.
  • That would most likely be Elliott Sadler
    *cheers*
    woot woot
  • Love love Bobby but Elliott is may main man!
  • Bobby Labonte or Elliott Sadler. I am asking for your honest opinion, I will thumbs up even answers for Labonte. Lol
  • Labonte
  • I would hire Labonte....strictly on the FACT that he has a past champions provision in which my car would almost always be GUARANTEED to make the race. That would be the ONLY reason on why I would hire Labonte over Sadler. But again I am sure whoever my sponsor (if I had one) wanted would be the one to get the ride.
    Fun question! Just an opinion as always.ca eb game
  • Do you think Jimmie could make it four in a row next year?

    May be...

  • I definitely think he can, but would rather he not. Time for a new champ!
  • NO
  • Yes,I believe that Jimmie Johnson WILL make it 4 in a row next year and no,I do not think that Chad is stretching the rules.he used to work in the gray areas a lot with the old car(which got him in trouble at times),but you cannot do ANYTHING to the COT without getting brutally punished.
  • Of course he can but I hope he doesn't. I am looking forward to a new champ. he has a better chance than most I think though. Is Chad and crew stretching the rules??? Well don't they all? Just a little??? I don't think he is cheating I think he learned his lesson.
  • hell no he just plan out sucks
  • So what you are suggesting is Rick is using Dale Jr's popularity money to pay off NASCAR to let them bend the rules so Jimmie Johnson can win a 4th championship? I guess if that is true LOL then sure he can win a 4th championship. I like your conspiracy. Wait... I'm a Dale Jr fan. I don't like that conspiracy at all.

    Seriously, if anybody has shown they can do it it's Jimmie and Chad.
  • Of course he can. It's the will he that remains to be seen.
    And they all stretch the rules..
  • Sooner or later, his luck will run out. I think he used it all up at Talladega. I would kinda like to see it, but Carl Edwards will be out for blood in 2009.
  • HELL NO. Just HELL NO. All i have to say.
  • I think he could, and with all his success, ever wonder if Chad and the crew might be stretching the rules...just a little? Do you think he could make history in 2009?
  • i think he could if he can win 1 or 2 of the first 5 races
  • well sure he can guy.
  • He could but i do not think he will. With a veteran like Mark Martin in the fray at Hendrick Motorsports, Jr. finally having a year under his belt and Jeff hungry it will make for an exciting year alone for the team mates not counting RCR, Roush and Tony's new team. .
  • Yes. But he won't. And I would tell you why. But, i'm going to wait untill the chase before I explain it to the whole NASCAR Nation.
  • I think with his past track record nothing is impossible for this team. I am sure every team stretches the rules as far as they can, until they get caught of course. The #48 team has had a wonderful past 3 years and with that being said, I just can't even try to take that away from them. Congrats to them.
  • i think, without a doubt, he could definitely make it 4 in a row!
    he's amazing!
    & as for Chad, i don't think he is. i think he (& the rest of the 48 crew) have really figured out the CoT.
  • yeah, he might make it 4 in a row
    it seems to me that he gets better and better every year and hey, I'm just saying
  • Sure he can. As for the second part of your question I giggled at that fer sure. lol

    Knaus cheat???? Noooooooo.
  • No he'll choke. Its just like saying "are the Yankees gonna win 10 WS in a row"
  • Johnson sucks, go Junior!
  • hell to the "no"
  • no, if he does i wont watch nascar ever again
  • Yes, I do. He has finished in the Top 5 every year since he started in 2002, so I definitely think he will do good. He has gotten better each and every year. With a perfect chase, he will be a contender for the championship again. I think Jimmie will win about six races and at least finish in the Top 3 in points. And I really don't think Chad is stretching the rules. He has been suspended for things during the race weekend, but I don't remember the #48 ever failing post-race inspection. So I don't think the #48 team cheats.double hilton tree
  • Who's excited for Mark M to race in some good cars this year?

    May be...

  • It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the other three Hendrick drivers. I just hope Mark and his crew chief work well together.
  • I have nothing but respect for Mark and I wish him the best in '09. He is a great driver and just may thrive in the HMS house.
  • I think it is cool Mark gets to drive for Hendrick. I think the spirit of driving for him will do Mark well and he has cool team mates too. I hope he has fun and I think Hendrick's Chevy's will do great for him.

    I think though he would be more excited to have Viagra back as a sponsor.
  • mark martin always raced good in any car he drove, but i think that mark martin will have his best season this year because he's driving for the team that won the championship 3 years in a row.
  • any car Mark Martin drives is a good one.
  • I'm really looking forward to it. Now, that he's signed full-time, he has a better shot at the championship. (And I hope he wins.) He has always had great cars, but Gordon and Johnson will be unbeatable teammates.
  • I can't wait to see Mark in the 5 HMS Chevy in 2009.I hope that he does extremely well.
  • Well to my knowledge Mark has always raced in good cars every year since 1989. Mark's problem has always been luck....so hopefully he'll find some luck this year and pull off a few wins and compete for the championship. Would love to see it! Just an opinion as always.
  • Hes been in good cars. He drove for Roush which is great cars, he drove for DEI which has good cars.
  • Mark is a great driver and I am really looking forward to him in the #5 car...to see how he does.
  • dude! he's past his prime!
  • When Mark raced in the Army car, he is a championship caliber driver, but he doesn't race full time. Hendrick, plus full time equals Chase.
  • He's always had good cars...he has been hurt by running only part time but that was the choice he made. It will be good to see him run full time again and I hope he wins the championship.
  • Excited as I have been the last quarter century. Yay. I know I know.... he's so respectable blah blah blah.

    Team HMS didn't help Jr, Vickers and Casey "what's his name."

  • NASCAR The curse of the 19 car ?

    May be...

  • Allmendinger next in what? there is no curse
  • I don't enough about AJ to answer this. sorry.
  • Ity says "The common denominator between Mayfield and Atwood is that both drivers have barely been heard from since their dismissal from the 19 car. They have fallen off the NASCAR radar. Will Sadler suffer the same fate? Is the 19 car a career killer? Should Allmendinger be worried? """

    Well Jeremy did put the 19 in victory lane on more than one occasion but casey atwood..well he wasn't that great. As far as Elliot Sadler...nope...he's a fan favorite, marketable, decent driver, and though he really hasn't hit victory lane he has gotten close a few times. No curse on Elliot...we will be hearing a lot more from him ON THE TRACK. I truely believe that.
    Allmendinger?? Lets hope it wasn't just beginners luck that he is a good driver. But no I don't believe in curses. Good question and article though. Thanks!
  • i dont really understand what that means
  • allmendinger is a curse on his own self
  • http://www.examiner.com/x-2149-Atlanta-N...

    This was in NASCAR .COM . So what do you think .Is Allmendinger next . Or is this all bull'
  • It appears that there's a curse on the 19 and a curse on Allmendinger. Together, maybe they will accomplish more.

    The article is totally correct, Sadler and Labonte shouldn't have to be scrounging around for a ride. Especially Bobby, he's a former champion for pete's sake!air asia cebu

    Where should I sit at Martinsville?

    May be...

  • Sit high but not to high. And a good place to sit is either coming out of turn for or going into turn 1.
  • Enjoy the race. I've never been, so these answers are great. Maybe sometime in the future I can go to Martinsville.
  • I don't think it cares whether you sit on a stretch or a turn, just sit high enough where you can see the whole track.
  • I think you should high next to the finish line. If it comes to a last lap battle, you can see everything. Plus, when Jimmie Johnson wins the race you are going to, you can see his awesome burnout.
  • Towards the middle, so it good level to see everything w/o being too high or too low.
  • I like the Blue Ridge Tower area - section I row 20 or so. You can see the entire track and you are close to the Start finish line.

    Enjoy!
  • all the actuion is between 1 @ 2
    so if you sit halfway up in turn 1 you can still see the start finish line
    actually you can see the whole track from there but pit road action is in front of you to
  • I'm about to buy some tickets to Martinsville, but I can't decide on what seats to get. What seats would you recommend and why? High/low? Turn 1, 2, 3, 4? If any of you that have been to Martinsville could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
  • sit high (so you can see across to the other side of the track) between turn one and the start / finish line. i say this seating area would do just fine. you'll get to see the the whole race from all sides of the track, and see my driver , Tony Stewart (or your favorite driver) take the checkered flag at the end.
  • As long as you're about row 20 or higher, you can see the entire track. So do not sit lower than that. You'll also prefer to not sit on the backstretch b/c you cannot see pit lane. The section between turns 3 and 4 is fantastic. You can see the entire track without swiveling your head. Basically, there are only a few "bad" seats there.windows launcher for palm os
  • Nascar Nation--Can you answer this?

    May be...

  • I'm going to say Darrell Waltrip. He left the #11 Mt Dew car owned by Junior Johnson (three championships) and went to drive for Rick Hendrick in the #17 Tide car. He never won another championship and Rick had to wait until 1995 to win a championship with Jeff Gordon.
  • Terry Labonte? I don't know any of the details, that just sounds like it could be the right answer.
  • who cares? nascar sucks
  • In 1986...a top driver made a shocking announcement towards years end...He was leaving the team that made his career. The car owner was shocked....no make that very angry and felt betrayed. The new owner for 87 was all smiles as he felt he just "bought" an instant ticket to a Winston Cup Champion. But alas that championship was still many years away and with another driver. The news was shocking to Nascar fans they couldn't believe this was happening. But all in all money talks at the end of the day. So can you tell me who this top driver was? What team did he leave? Car # owner etc
    What team did he go to in 87? Car # owner etc.
    Did this driver ever win a championship with either team???
    Good luck and have fun with it!
  • No I cant answer Jeff, but I would like to tell Minus D above me to go swallow one. TYVM!!power runner 2300
  • Where you you tell George Gillette and Evernham to stick it?

    May be...

  • I am guessing that this is a bad thing, even avatars are changing. I think GEM is losing fans.
  • As far up their @sses as possible
  • no, but I would have a side order of fries. You need to learn how to read and write, so you can form a functioning question
  • Tom we have to learn to breathe. i am having broadband issues tonight and when i finally got on i got on to this! All before his nuptials. We have got to put things in perspective
    He is a good driver with a loyal fan base in which any owner should be proud to have him.
    His best years are a head of him
    He is well liked and well respected in the community and someone like that does not go unnoticed
    And he is very very marketable in which sponsors love
    We will be there for him through think and thin we have just run into a thin spot right now- remember it is a rumor and if it were true it would be Ray's loss.
    I am with you Mr.Prez all the way and so isn't the rest of Nascar Nation
  • I'm hoping that Allmendinger is moving to the 19 to take Sadler's place because he's moving to a 4th GEM car if they merge with Petty.

    This is getting ridiculous.
  • Well seems you have turned to the dark side Bad A$$ Prez

    But just how bad are you? hahaha

    Ray and George can both get it stuck so far up they can't sit down for the entire season.
  • I think NASCAR Nation Chief of Staff said it best. What could I possibly add to that .........

    Other than please let me be there when it happens.
  • Ray Everham is out as much as Elliot. He had nothing to do with this. My guess is he saw this stuff coming and planned his exit.
  • SHOVE THEM STRAIGHT UP THEIR *** AND HOPE THEY CHOKE ON IT!!!!
  • Being a Jeff Gordon fan I personally dislike Everham for leaving Gordon. I would tell them to go back to Gordon so Gordon can win it all just like he used to and still can.
  • Tom I really wished I could put it in text on here. There would be nothing but !@#$%^&*()_+ in my message. in my eye's that's just plain and simple anti-American on Ray and Georges part. I can tell You what I WILL do and that's get rid of my Gillette Fusion razors and shaving cream. I will use something else. That's how i roll on the loyalty part of Nascar. I will also campaign againts the 5 bladed razor that cut me everytime, stay away from McDonald's cause it makes me puke and Best Buy will never see this fat boy in one of their low life stores.
  • Yes, it sucks. But as Winter said, it might be for the better. Hopefully Elliot will get a better ride next year.
  • up their @ss so far they choke on it.

    Maybe Elliot will go back to Woods Bros. maybe they will shine with him on the team. Cripes sake. makes me not even want to watch this season.

    Even sponsors were threatening to walk. Good for them. I hope they do and go with Elliot wherever he goes. GEM is a sinking ship anyway. A ship of fools.
  • To be completely honest, I have wondered how Sadler has kept a ride this long. I don't hate him, but Nascar is business and Sadler hasn't run well in years. Heck, I've always thought Hermie was a better driver than Elliott, but what do I know? There's still a few weeks until Daytona kicks in, so many things can happen.
  • Man, I feel so bad for Elliott. This couldn't have happened to a better guy. A.J. did good with the #10 last year, but he's not worth replacing Sadler at all. There aren't many rides available right now, so I really hope that Elliott will find a much better ride for his sake, for you, and all of the Sadler fans. GEM has been in a big mess for a very long time. I have to like Evernham for all of what he did for Gordon years ago, but I can't say I like him right now at the moment.
  • i'm with you Mr Prez on this, definitely where the sun will never ever shine, they sux. Who could do this to Elliott, heck come on GEM the dude is getting married on Jan 17, geez this is no wedding present for sure. I hope this is some kind of mis-print maybe they will put him in the #10. Now Elliott I know you and Blake Shelton are best buddies, maybe you got a record deal, I know you were working on a CD. But dang you do not have to leave Nascar. I'm sure something will come around for him. I still can not believe what I read, I had to read it 2 or 3 times. GEM you got this so so so wrong.. I do like the dinger, BUT not at Elliott's expense..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • I hope that Elliot gets a good ride. It seems ridiculous that two good drivers (Bobby LaBonte and Elliot Sadler) are not signed right now. And the fact that it is the middle of the season.

    I say shame on Gillette for letting Elliot go, but I also said the same thing about Petty letting Bobby go. so I am hoping that they both get good rides, and prove to the whole sport especially Petty and Gillette what morons they were to let the drivers go.
  • Well, Tom I can understand why you are frustrated BUT I would wait 'til we hear the official announcement. I made a call to my buddies who work for the #12 team....they were unsure about this and called it a rumor. But one of them hinted at Gillette Petty deal is done....but Sadler was a piece of the puzzle....Petty and their new sponsor wants Sadler to drive. Sadler according to them jumped at the chance to drive the #43....thus opening up a spot for AJ. Now of course all of the above is RUMOR. Lets just wait and see....just an opinion as always.
    Hang in there Mr. Prez.....we're rooting for you.
  • Awe Tom, I was shocked but, ya never know my friend maybe it is just a rumor. Nothing verified yet. If so then that just means Elliott is open for a ride. He will get one....Gotta trust my iner wisdom. Screw them. Sorry Tom

    ((((((huggs))))))
  • I'm sorry kiddo. I know this must be a pretty rough blow. I just read about it on Jayski.
    HOWEVER......
    Sometimes when things like this happen, it ends up being even more beneficial for the driver. (I speak from experience)
    Did I ever tell you about my first question ever asked in the NASCAR section? It was the day it was announced that Rick Hendrick had decided to let Kyle go.
    My question was a hate filled graphic rant about Rick Hendrick, thus it got three answers and a violation notice all within 2 minutes of it being up. I was just as pissed off as you are right now.
    Look at the end result. It worked out better for Kyle, maybe the same will hold true for Elliott. Hang in there.20yh

    Nascar Nation? Can you name the 6th Days of Thunder car?

    May be...

  • In the movie DOT, which just went off my local TV station..."Movie of the Week". ...can you name the car that was NOT included in the merchandising blitz for the movie. Now we all know there is the #46 City Chevrolet; #46 Superflo Chevy; #18 Hardee's Chevy; #51 Exxon; #51 Mello Yello Chevy. Can you name the 6th car??? It was a fictional car and driver that ORIGINALLY was planned for the blitz....but was dropped at the last minute because the sponsor pulled fundage due to some recalls at the time. So can you name the car # sponsor and the fictional drivers name??? Good luck and have fun with it!

  • Yes Tom is a awesome name ! You must really be bored Mr.President !
  • Tom is a good name. You've got Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Tommy Lee (just kidding)... and Tom Brokov, Tom Selleck (my personal fave), Tom Petty, Tommy Lee Jones, Tom Bosley, Tom Arnold, Tommy Matola, and the computer generated GPS "Tom Tom" - just to name a few.
  • Great people in the world share the name Tom like me and you. It is awesome!
  • sorry tom! i think it sucks
  • You already have a bunch of sweet titles that go with Tom lol.

    So it works.

  • Is Mr Prez bored, or is just the lack of Nascar on TV or is the countdown to Speedweeks long for Mr Prez. Really Tom, Daytona will be here before you know it. • I think Mykey is a bit more loose haha

    Tom's a cool name but Tommy's a better name.

    I need a wedge adjustment!
  • sure love it
  • Yes, it is. I've always liked that name.
  • My uncle's name is Tom. Tom is my favorite character from Tom and Jerry, so yeah Tom is cool.
  • Sure is, just think it could of been a whole lot worse. Just think about how many famous people have the name Tom. I think it fits ya just fine.
    Tom's your name & Nascars your game. Sounds good to me! :)
  • Yeah, it's pretty cool. Not as awesome as my name, Randell, though.
  • Yes, it's a great name, only mine's better.
  • Of course it is, but I think Datona is better! Lol
  • well thats my name and i just wanted to know what y'all thought about it?salen s7 car
  • What are you looking forward to in NASCAR in 2009?

    May be...

  • Tony Stewart winning the Daytona 500
  • I wanna see Tony Stewart do extremely well, taking away from the 2009 points leader (whoever that may be). And I'm totally psyched to see Juan Pablo Montoya, partner with Martin Truex Jr. and Aric Almirola. Montoya earned my respect in '08 "just in time" I like how he became agressive and doesn't try to hide behind racing terminology. Also with a couple drivers out of a Dodge car, I would like to see a Dodge or two make it in the chase. Lets see what Kurt Busch can do. I'm predicting Carl Edwards to take the "Cup".
  • The first car getting out of the garage to practice in the Daytona 500!
  • Good side-by-side racin!!
  • i look forward to Elliot having a great season
    to hoping Mark Martin gets the brass ring
    For Tony to find success in his new venture.
  • There's so much I don't know where to begin....

    #1---a sponsorship/merger announcement from Petty Enterprises
    #2--The Daytona 500
    #3--The Martinsville Spring Race...I'll be off turn 4 this year.
    #4--Richard Petty Driving Experience at Charlotte....what a great
    Christmas gift!!!! Hopefully I won't embarrass myself or Nascar
    Nation!
    #5--Someone else as the champion.
  • The whole season, but I like the Taledega's the best.
  • I can't wait for the first race that I go to. Still don't know which one that is.
  • I'm looking for the stands to be half-empty at race tracks as soon as the second race of the season at California, and also I'm looking at not having the full 43 car field at some races. NA$CAR will see the beginning of the end this year unlkess they make some major changes.
  • Jamie McMurray having Donnie Wingo as his crew chief! Hoping that it will help him win some races, and get into the chase this year, and show Roush what he is really made of and allow him to stay on that team.
  • seeing if anyone can derail the Hendrick train! Boring to watch the same three drivers win every week!
  • Well, you know every year we look so forward to the season then it gets going and the smack talk starts and my driver doesn't do as well as predicted. I am really hoping for a Junior year this year.
  • Matt winning
  • Jeff Gordon winning some races, and Dale Jr winning the Championship. and I look forward to hopefully getting to more races this yr than I did last yr. (after I find a job)

    Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • I'm looking forward to a good, fresh start. '08 wasn't a very good season for Jeff, so I'm hoping things get way better for him with his new paint scheme. I'm looking forward to Mark Martin coming back full-time and seeing if he can be a factor for the title. And I'm looking forward to seeing if Joey Logano will be all that great in the Cup series. Hopefully it will be a great year!
  • Jeff Gordon winning !
  • Besides the season starting...

    For me, it would be the Darlington race.

    By the way, if any of you have Xbox Live, e-mail me your gamertag!
  • Definitely Richmond and Dover, since I have tickets to both of those races. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Logano and Stewart will fare.
  • Restrictor Plate tracks
  • Martin Truex Jr winning
    Paul Menard Winning
    Juan Pablo Montoya Winning
    Aric Almirola Winning

    Martin Truex Jr Champion
  • -Jimmie Johnson becoming the only driver in NASCAR history to ever win four consecutive championships
    -Jimmie winning 8 or more races
    -Joey Logano proving all the nay-sayers wrong and winning a race or two,scoring multiple top 5s and 10s,making the Chase,and finishing in the top 10 in the final standings
    -Mark Martin making a good run at the championship(if Jimmie doesn't win it,I want Mark to win it)
    -Jeff Gordon winning some races and being a serious contender for the championship
    -seeing if DEI-Ganassi can actually give Montoya something worth driving
    -Dale Earnhardt,Jr. stepping it up and winning 2 or more races and being a serious contender for the championship
    -seeing how the no testing policy will effect the teams
    -seeing what Tony can do with his own team
    -seeing if Kyle can prove that last season wasn't a fluke and that he is as good as some believe he is
    -seeing if David Ragan and Jamie McMurray can keep up the good work or improve upon last year and be Chasers in 2009
    -seeing who makes the Chase(and what stars will surprise us by missing it)
    ETC
    ETC
    ETC
    ...I could go on and on :)
  • NHMS i go there ever year and i think that Burton Smith will imporove the track for the drivers and fans
  • What am I looking forward to in NASCAR in 2009, how about Matt winning, I'm just in a huge desperate need in seeing him win, I'm tired of looking through old racing footage of him winning, I want to see much updated versions of him winning! Also I really want to see all of my drivers winning next season, as well as getting back to the top spot in the standings!
  • 1. Seeing how Smoke and Newman adjust to their new rides
    2. Seeing how things shake out with the DEI-Ganassi merger
    3. Seeing if Kyle Busch will dominate again
    4. Seeing how Logano makes out in his freshman season
    5. Seeing if Regan Smith is able to land somewhere (he was the 08 rookie of the year)
    6. Seeing what effect the economy has on NASCAR
    AND FINALLY THE MOST ANTICIPATED BY MYSELF...

    Seeing if Mark Martin will FINALLY win the 500 AND the championship!
  • I'm looking forward to Mark Martin coming back and Sadler improving.
  • Mark Martin full time in the 5
  • The new super-team

    STEWART-HAAS Racing
  • More mediocre runs for Dale Jr.
  • Johnson winning 4 in a row and making the biggest thing ever in history :)
  • Just chillin out at Daytona on a nice Friday afternoon/evening watching practice and the truck race. I love the truck series. I wish the IROC series was still happening. I may do the Rolex weekend this year and skip Sundays Cup race. It's something I always wanted to do. I love the 24 hours of Daytona. They have some of the worlds best drivers including Cup drivers and you can literally roam the garages all night.

    Later..
  • Kyle's racing and wins
    Tony and Ryan in the new team
    Elliot's season
    Mark Martin in the #5 car
    Robby Gordon in Toyota
    A better year for Jeff Gordon
    Martin Truex Jr's. Season
  • Bristol Night race. I got tickets to it for Christmas! ^__^ It'll be my first race in person. :Dproject mach 2 concorde

  • Champion- Jeff Gordon
    Rookie of the Year- Regan Smith
    Daytona 500 winner- Jeff Gordon

    I'm a little biased though lol. But I seriously thought Gordon would win the title after the amazing 2007 season. Maybe '09 will be his year. Anyway, I have my avatar up right now. Hope you like it.
  • kyle busch

    dario franchitti

    kyle busch

    I've just now started getting back on here again.... so what's with the teal avatars?
  • Wow this is pretty hard, because I don't remember doing predictions before last season, but if I did then this is how things went...

    1. Champion: Matt Kenseth
    2. Rookie of the Year: I don't think if I did because I really didn't care who won ROTY.
    3. Daytona 500 Winner: Matt Kenseth

    1. Champion - Junior
    2. Rookie of the Year - Regan Smith

    3. Daytoa 500 winner

  • Johnson buying truck team for 2009?

    May be...

  • I was looking over Jimmie Johnson's page on wikipedia and it states that he will "join on his new NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team Jimmie Johnson Racing".

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmie_John...

    Has anyone else heard anything about this??
    I can't find a single thing that confirms this.I will continue searching,but if anyone else looks and finds a link,could you please share on here?
  • He might as well own 'em 'cause he sure can't drive them...
  • Well, Tony Stewart had, before creating the cup team, had his own Busch team for years, as well as Harvick (and a few others) having his own truck team. If this is a beginning of Jimmie owning bigger things, this is a good place to start. Start in a smaller series, and go from there.

  • Which one is better ? need for speed undercover or Tokyo drift ?

    May be...

  • which one is more fun to play nd also has good cars in them ?
  • both lol
    same thing different quest
  • it all depens what kind off game you like. me personly neverd play tokoy drift but i seen people play and every thing but i realy didnt like it. on the other hand ive played the hole game of undercover on the psp ps2 p23 and xbox and it was the best it had a good story line. it has good grahgics and unlike the othere nfs games it realy easy to earn money so it dosent take you days of races just to buy one 250k$ car and the fact you can costomize your own car and race it online and rub how fast your car is in every bodys face all over the world it sweet

    sorry my spelling is bad
  • Tokyo drift was so bad it had me throwing stuff at the screen. The only saving grace was the hot japanese girls.

    Never mind I am an ***. I thought you were talking about the movie. I really need to pay more attention before I type crap.

    Which wish you would wish for NASCAR in 2009?

    May be...

  • Save Petty and Wood Bros, New Champ, Better Coverage...all but shorter season.
  • of those choices

    New champion
    Better finishes
    Better TV coverage

    in general for Jeremy to get a ride and for Brian to win a race and make the chase

    Merry Christmas
  • New champ, Save Petty & Wood brothers, Better finishes/rivalries, and diversity progress. I know I want a lot but if I pick 4 instead of 1, I have better odds of one or more of them happening, right????

    Hey Christina, I agree with your "in general" statements!!!!!!!!!
  • Better finishes / rivalries
  • New champion

    Better finishes / rivalries

    Shorter season

    Diversity progress

    Better TV coverage

    Save Petty and Wood Bros.

    NASCAR.com Poll
  • The sport need's to save Petty Enterprises and Wood Brother's Racing. I for one would sorely miss the 43 and 21. Two staples of the sport. Enjoy the Holiday's Nation.
  • new champion i mean i like jimmie but its gonna start getting predictable

    definatley better finishes i watched the 2000 winston 500 a ouple days agp and i gotta say drafting was a hell of a lot better i say bring back those cars...make em safer but make em interesting

    TNT SUCKED so no doubt better coverage
  • I really like Jimmie Johnson as a person and as a driver but I gotta say a new champ. I think that might shake some thing up a bit.

    Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday! Nascar Nation is the best.
  • I think we need to have more of a variety of winners. I mean week after week its the same old people, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch. I would like to see Kyle Petty win. Bobby Labonte challenge for the lead. I get tired of the same team dominating and yes I know its all about the power and the money but come on now.
  • An Elliott Sadler win!
  • 1) get rid of the chase. worst. idea. ever.
    2) get rid of the "top 35 rule." if you're one of the fastest 43 in qualifying, you race on sunday.
  • My friend Maggie has got it right all but a shorter season.

    Merry Christmas Nascar Nation- i am off to work!
  • New Champion !!!infocus sp7205
  • Who will win in a fight ?

    May be...

  • juan pablo montoya or

    terry labonte
  • For the life of me I can't figure out why they would want,
    but if they did get into a real battle-Terry is to old to fight very long so I would have to say Montoya would kick his butt,
    but by being that old he might also be wise,and end it with a 357 or something-Montoya is Spanish so he will have a knife anyway- But keep it fair and Juan has got himself a win
  • Juan Pablo without a doubt. Get real . Sheesh. Terry was a great driver but a major pu$$y back in the day. Dale Sr used to pick on him like a little school boy.
  • Greenbean's just mad because his still blew up
  • Labonte
  • Terry LaBonte by far.
  • Terry never fought; he didn't have to. He did his job out on the track.
    Juan would have more respect than to even consider throwing a punch at a superior driver. And JPM is a pretty decent driver himself.

    To the person who called the Iceman a pu$$y: that's OK. That pu$$y is still alive, ain't he? : )
  • C'MON IS THIS A REAL QUESTION?....TERRY LABONTE COULDN'T FIGHT HIS WAY OUT OF A WET SACK....
    MONTOYA WOULD WHIP HIM BEFORE THE JUICY FRUIT HE WAS CHEWIN' WENT LIMP!!!
  • JPM for sure. He's got age on his side, and he's much more aggressive.

    *HYPD*
  • I love Terry Labonte,but Montoya would drag him just like he would have drug Harvick.
  • Terry Labonte
  • Terry Labonte
  • Terry Labonte.
  • Terry Labonte because he eats Kellogs Frosted Flakes!
  • labonte
  • Texas TERRY LABONTE would do the texas 2 step on that boy..... ^
  • would rather see terry labonte win, but I think ole Juan would win.swdeluxe vga

  • Who will win the street race? 100 grand at stake?

    May be...

  • i have a brand new shelby gt500kr with f1 tires 500 pound weight deduction(new body) and 1 tank of Nitrous. i am versing a 2007 m3 twin turbocharged with f1 tires and no nitrous....who will win 100grand at bet here
  • hmmm depends on the type of turbos he has. the m3 is 420hp stock, with a really good twin turbo set he could be at 700hp or more
    on the other hand, the kr you have is 540hp stock. how much NOS are u pumping? a 125 shot? i think if its a short race u will win because the m3s hp kicks in at really high rpms and u will have your nos, in a long race your nos will run out and he will hit peak HP so hell win. dont bet 100k its too close :/region free dvd player x box

    Nascar trivia question about Bill Davis Racing?

    May be...

  • Bobby Labonte in the #22 Maxwell House Ford (not sure what year sorry).

    Randy Lajoe He was great in Busch but never made it in cup.
  • First Cup driver and sponsor-Bobby Labonte in the #22 Maxwell House Ford.He finished 19th in points.

    Ward Burton replaced Randy LaJoie midway through the 1995 season due to a lack of chemistry.
  • I was saddened to hear that Bill and Gail Davis has sold their interests in the #22 team. They are truly wonderful people. So in honor of all they have done over the years....here's a trivia question.....

    Can you name the first driver they put in their Cup car? The sponsor?
    The car mfg? And as a bonus question....Ward Burton drove for them for years in the #22. Can you name the driver he replaced mid way into
    1995? Good luck and have fun with it!
  • Bobby Labonte was the driver, Maxwell House the sponsor.

    I don't know about the bonus.p0410 blazer
  • How Big are the rims on a car from nascar?

    May be...

  • 15's
  • 15 x 9.5 inch rims,

    5 x 5 bolt pattern

    From Marty Smith @ nascar.com....
    According to the Nextel Cup rulebook, Goodyear Racing Eagles must not exceed a maximum sidewall measurement of 13.2 inches when placed on an approved wheel that measures 15 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide. Oh, and for good measure, 60 lbs of air pressure is used during the measurement process.
  • The rules require 15 inch steel rims.
  • just wanted to know how big the rims are on those cars
  • They have 110in wheelbase (Sprint Cup Series)

    105in (Nationwide Series)

  • How will Mark Martin do at Hendrick in 09?

    May be...

  • he will do great!!!! [team hendrick will have a good chance because they have a killer team
  • great
  • He will do great. Mark is a very consistent driver.
  • I look forward to watching Mark Martin race next year...I think he will do great, he's a great driver.
  • He will do better than '08 because of Hendrick's equipment, but not as good as everyone thought he would. He's a consistent driver.
  • I can see him making the Chase but stalling there finishing around 7th.
  • 2nd fiddle like his whole career ecept at hms he will be 4th and out of the top 35 before ewe knowit
  • I expect him better than the top 15.
  • I think he will be awesome :D With 2009 being his last season, he will want to give it all he's got. I think the move to HMS was a smart one.

    Edit: Merry Christmas to you, too, Tina, and to everyone who reads this :D
  • I think that he will do really good and get in the chase.
  • I think he would do pretty good, though unfortunately something in the back of mind says he probably wouldn't win the Championship. I'd love to be proven wrong as I do feel he is the greatest driver to have never won a Championship but...
  • I believe Mark will have a great year at HMS,scoring a few wins,multiple top 5s and top 10s,making the Chase,and being a real threat for the championship.
  • I THINK MARK WILL DO GREAT NEXT YEAR LOOK AT THE POWER HOUSE TEAM HE WITH I THINK SOME WERE IN THE TOP 5 NEXT YEAR
  • A lot better then what Jr did his first year with Hendrick. Martin will be a contender for the Cup.
  • I think he will make the Chase and finish between 8th and 12th.
  • For some reason I just think he's going to do very good, like top 5 in the chase!

    Hendrick is a power house in the sport and everyone knows this, then you add a driver like Mark Martin to the mix, WOW !!!!

    LoSt FoR WoRdS!!!
  • Mark Martin will have a good year with a good finish, no doubt. When it comes to the championship, maybe not so much. I'm figuring top ten in the cup, maybe a couple wins to boot, but he won't be the dominant driver out there. What I'm wondering is what if when he comes close to the championship in 09' he decides he wants another shot with Hendrick????
  • I'm a believer that Mark can win the championship in a Hendrick car. It's now or never and he knows it.
  • He'll do a lot better than Dale Jr. does.
  • he's gonna be real good
  • He will do great. He will know how to drive that #5 car!!!flightsticks

  • My favorite avatar has to be superdaves

    Above

    Greenbean he protects us from trolls
  • My favorite Christmas colored paint scheme... well, it's almost always been red and green... the JGR Interstate Batteries #18! Had some great drivers behind the wheel... Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Kyle Busch, and some dude named JJ Yeley, whoever he is.

    The person above me seems to be a diehard Junior fan... and it's always good to be a true blue.
  • I would like to see a candy cane striped car paint scheme...possibly with Coca-Cola sponsorship.

    Above....M Pepper. I don't much about this individual but I have noticed some of the q&a....which I respect. I think you are a great addtition to our Nation and look forward to getting to know you better.
  • dale jr's diecast for this year.

    straightedge likes Truex and underdogs and I think its cool to have a non-bandwagon here on Y!A
  • Any red/green paint scheme is good enough for me. I think this fictional diecast paint scheme is pretty cool: http://www.actiondiecast.com/JJohnson_08...

    Above: Casey's Girl is a nice contributor to the forum. She posts great answers and always defends her driver, Casey Mears. I like that.

    Below: Superdave is a real great answerer. Almost every answer he had to one of my questions was worthy enough of being the best answer. Always gives really smart and informative answers.
  • Christmas Color Paint Scheme:

    Above : Winter Glory, Great Contact of mine! Absolutely Respect Her 110%, Happy Holidays Winter!

    Below 88 Dominates very Intelligent Kidd too have aboard here and ofcourse part of Jr Nation. Happy Holidays too you .
  • The Dale Jr one that Jason posted is amazing. I LOVE it.

    *ignoring troll jeff gordon's gay above me*

    Above me is 88 Dominates. I don't know him very well, but he seems like a well respected and great answers contributor and jr fan.
  • I like blue and silver paint schemes.

    ^Fire Storm is one of the best if not best contributor that is here in the Nascar forum. Always gives thorough answers and is very courteous to everyone. Of course Mr President your the best in here bar none.

    What can I say about Tom P, one of the best friends in here to me and always sticks up for my drivers no matter what bone headed moves they may make. Always been a great pal! Tom P is a straight shooter and there is no BS with him.

    But I digest....

    Just my 2 cents.

    :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Nascar Nation.
  • Anything Christmas Green or bright red or Gold or Silver...well I like 'em all.

    Above: Zach: Don't know him much but he's ok but pretty abrasive sometimes.

    Below: Winter Glory...ah yes...exquisite taste in drivers and a good pal!!
  • Red is one of my favorite colors so I'd have to go with it as my favorite Christmas pain scheme.

    I don't know Handsome Dan very well, but like his answers. I also think his avatar is cool.
  • I really like this one, personally:

    http://store.nascar.com/largeImage/index...

    Maybe I'm a bit biased....

    Tom P is a great, knowledgeable, and level-headed user on this forum who also happens to have a great sense of humor. I'm a bit concerned for his health though with all the pennies he keeps digesting..... : )

    Below me is Zach. I'm not terribly familiar with him, as I have not been on here lately as frequently as I was in the past, but I have noticed that he seems knowledgeable and is a die-hard Jr fan much like myself.
  • I just want to give a shout out to everyone here on Yahoo! Answers. I haven't been on here in like a month.

    I liked Jimmie's scheme here:
    http://www.actiondiecast.com/JJohnson_08...

    PPPL seems like a very passionate fan, and unfortunately for him, he's a Ph-Ph-Ph-Ph-.... PHILLIEEESSSS fan!!! (Just kidding, of course, still celebrating? :P) And I agree with his assessment of Nick Jonas, but I'm not gonna paste that on my profile....there's just no room on there.
  • Dale Jr's Sam Bass car for this year.
  • I like blue and silver.

    Above:Maggie-What can I say, she's got perfect taste in drivers :)
    Below: For those who don't know, Straightedge is quite the ladies man in Polls & Surveys, they all love him there.
    Rightfully so, he's a sweetie-pie.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    In the time so close to Christmas, I think we should honor all the great members of Nascar Nation. Say what you like most about the person above and below you. If trolls answer, skip them.
  • I like the red and white ones.

    Above: She is my bestest friend in the whole world

    Below: Fire Storm is a great guy who has great taste in drivers. I also think his Christmas avatar is awesome.2000 managing network services window
  • Jeff Gordon is overrated?

    May be...

  • I always thought you considered him to be a perfect 10!
  • How many years has Jr. outdrove him? i.e. finishing higher than him in points? Not much I bet.
  • Jeff Gordon is awesome. He's a champ and makes racing exciting to watch. Not to mention extrememly handsome. And his signature cologne is just wonderful.
  • jeff gordons gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
  • Overrated NO . Theres no way he cheated his way to 4 championships . there is Other things he cheated at .Who in there life has not cheated at one point to get all they need in life to be themselves.
  • I think he is a good driver thus not overrated. That video is cute.
  • he's only popular because he cheated his way to 4 championships and Nascar helped him. Dale Jr could outdrive that boy anyday. GO JUNIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iv0aOzZI...
  • What??!! He did not cheat his way to 4 championships.... he was cheated out of getting at least 2 more! Jr. made the move to Hendricks because Hendricks is the best of the best. Jr. needs to prove himself as a driver. I think that Jr. has the ability - he just needs to get a different crew chief. You need to check your sources again.

    What kind of season will Robbie Gordon have in a Toyota for 2009?

    May be...

  • he can wreck that just as good as anything
  • Robby is great on the road courses,pretty good on the restrictor plate tracks,and decent on the speedways.If Toyota gives him all of the resources he needs and he puts the right people in the right places,then his ability will shine through.If all falls into place,Robby could be in the top 15 by season's end.
  • he will have a bad year as usual.
  • i think he will definatly do better but i don't think he will do that good
  • He will probably do a lot better then this year.
  • he's a good road course driver but do you think driving a toyota will help him on the speedways?
  • I think performance will pick up a little bit. Not because Toyota is so good (MWR is still struggling a bit) but because Dodge is just so bad.
  • Last year Robby was in a dodge (gosh he switches manufactures like crazy) and amazingly did real well at the speedways, both Degas and Daytona's, did not wreck anyone nad placed pretty well.

    Toyota is the only manufacturer Robby has not tried and I think he will have fun with it (as he always does) on the speedways and road courses and it will do well for him (maybe he will be happy with it--make) Will the Toyota help him on the speedways? I hope so and I think so. He is my favorite driver and just loves to drive (and occasionally wreck people) Best of luck to him in the Toyota.
  • He will have a better season, at least in my opinion.
  • The way these cars are built today, a switch in manufacturers isn't going to help him at all. He will remain what he has been for several years now, which is just another field-filler leeching sponsorship dollars away from some other team that desperately needs the cash.
  • robby not robbie. anyway he will do a better job than last year because toyota gives an advantage
  • I think he will be a little better.
  • The same as when he had FORD CHEVY AND DODGE Bad I don't think it's the car when your just no good as a driver.
  • If you compare last year to this upcoming, MUCH BETTER.
  • he has to do better.
  • He will be consistent-fighting it out for positions 30-35 in points.
  • He will do great I think...well "great" meaning top 20 this coming season.
  • That's 4 makes in 4 years. Perhaps if he stayed with one manufacturer he might be OK. His Dodge was not very good. He'll probably be slightly better but not much.code ericsson sony unlock
  • Who will be the top 5 at Daytona?

    May be...

  • I usually dislike those questions because there are usually 30 of them before every race but now I can't wait to start seeing them pop up for Daytona. It's been a long month, 2 more to go.
  • It's too hard to say. It's impossible to say. As long as there are boneheads on the track and equipment failures, the best will be brought down unpredictably.
  • 1. Kyle Busch
    2. Tony Stewart
    3. Jeff Gordon

  • Can you name the sponsor that the following car #'s have in common?

    #27 --#94--#96--#91--#9--#19

    Bugatti veyron Vs F1 car?

    May be...

  • f1 car
  • which one would win around a track such as silverstone?
    thanks
  • f1 car because around a track it is a lot nippier in the corners,in a drag race the veyron would win because it has a better top speed
  • a veyron can't beat some of the production cars (eg gumpert, zonda) on a track, let alone a formula one car (don't know about 2009 f1 cars, which are horrible!)

    the thing is, on a 10 mile straight road, a veyron would win, coz it has a higher top speed.

    but an f1 car would win a quarter mile drag race.

    that's because, the veyron has stuff like air conditioning, carpets, stereo etc etc that makes it heavy, but make no mistakes, it is the fastest, the finest and the best car mankind has ever produced, not even the mclaren F1 (forget the italians) comes close.x30 wm5
  • Will kyle petty win a race in 2009?

    May be...

  • Nope. Kyle has already annouced he will not be back with Petty Enterprises but said he is not retired. Said he is like Bill Elliott but I dont think anyone will ask him to drive.
  • Not likely. Sorry.
  • He will never WIN a race again.
  • I don't think Kyle will even be in a race (not Cup anyways) much less win one. Now I am not hating Kyle....I am a huge Petty fan...but just don't think we'll see him in Cup competition for '09. Just an opinion as always.
  • NO
  • Where at in cup? I do not know but I doubt it. Rumors say he's going in the Rolex Sports Car Series.

    Did you ever dream of becoming a race car driver?

  • Yes, still think and dream of it now, I know I have zero chance, hey I failed my driving test twice but a man's allowed to dream.

  • Can ah jr. win ah championship ah in 09?

    May be...

  • NO !!!! You have to be a champion to win a championship. He is not and never will be a champion....
  • If he would keep his mind on racing and not on the "party boy" image he is attempting to show.Sure a drive should have business ventures but he should not be involved with the politics of running it.
    He needs a remake of his crew.A new crew chief and other key members of the crew are needed.
    Bottom line more than likley , no.
  • ah NO
  • I would bet on it.
    GO JR!

  • He has just as much of a chance to win it in 2009 as he had in 2008.
  • If he stays consistent all year then i think he'll have a shot. Being his second year in at Hendrick he has a better shot then his first year. He's more familiar with everything and as long and him and Eury Jr. get along I think he'll be just fine and have a shot at the title.cosmopoliton drinks
  • Is NASCAR really a sport?

    May be...

  • Yes, definitley........you have to be in very good shape to do what those drivers do............................
  • It's under the category of auto racing, so yes.
    Formula 1 is much better. They actually TURN some other way than LEFT.
  • NASCAR is a higher level of sporting activity, because the object of play is an advanced technical piece of machinery, that is based off of one of the worlds largest industries. Formula 1 is what they feed little puppys

  • well i love nascar, favorite driver used to be dale Sr until the accident so its been JR ever since, i love it, personally i think its considered a sport, even though its not the conventional type of sport you'd think about but try drive 175+ mph for 4 hours straight, most people can't even stay in a car for over 2 hours straight lol, and you do have to be in good shape to for the endurance and how hot it gets in the car, i do laugh when people say its not a sport or real racing just because you go ina circle, well what about drag racing when you don't even turn you just go a straight line and only last a few seconds, or what about the conventional sports, baseball which i love, you hit a ball with a stick and run around in a circle, basketball you bounce a ball from one side to another and shoot it ina hole, football you run or throw a ball back and forth and sometime kick it between 2 poles, soccer you just kick the ball around and kick it in a net, if your gonna try to make nascar sound easy then you should make all sports sound easy like i just did, they might be a bunch of rednecks but they're a bunch of rich a** rednecks to lol
  • Yup on both accounts.
    Merry Christmas everyone.gnuboy games
  • Is NASCAR the poor man's Formula 1?

    May be...

  • I thought Formula 1 was infant milk.....LOL...rich or poor, a kids gotta have their milk. It has nothing to do with NASCAR, THEE best sport there is!

    *HYPD*
  • NO, IT'S AMERICA'S #1 SPORT!!

    NOW GO LAY DOWN YOU PESKY MUT!!!
  • No, Your point? They race much different cars so you really can not compare Nascar to Formula 1.
  • i dont think so
  • No. Formula 1 started with 1 formula. They've apparently stuck with that same boring formula.
    NASCAR is constantly evolving. Sometimes in a good way; sometimes not. At least NASCAR drivers aren't afraid to rub fenders. Oops, sorry, F1 cars don't have fenders, do they? Good. I hate to hear grown men scream like little girls. : )
  • I dont think so. I dont like Formula 1, I like NASCAR. And they arent the same so there cant be a comparison.
  • uh way more people watch nascar than F1 so why don't you watch more of those pieces of metal zip around a squiggle, each of them 20 seconds apart.

    And also F1 is not real racing.
  • Is the American south poorer than Europe?
  • NASCAR is an American men's sport-not a Champagne drinking buy-the-seat follow the leader F1 race.
  • No. We may follow both but as a free democracy we choose to support Nascar whether rich or poor in sickness and in health. I guess i am married to it now!
  • nope, NASCAR is an American sport
  • ? Nascar dominates the US. I guess you're European.
  • What a stupid question. No. NASCAR is one thing, F1 is another.
    You can't compare the two.
    Although I appreciate and watch both....Formula 1 is technology driven, NASCAR is anything but technological. It is more driver related.
    Now, F1 is more precise. So you have less room for error. Does that make them better....hard to tell. Gordon drove an F1 Car and would have made the field. Montoya obviously has done well, but not great.
    I think it depends on the driver. Some guys from F1 would suck at Stock cars, and some Cup guys would suck in F1.

    Now....the dumbass who says NASCAR should go to "Elk CART Lake" you are a dumbass. If you're going to answer something, make sure you know what the fck you're talking about you dolt.

    Also 88: the guy who said more people watch NASCAR. You are a dumbass as well. F1 usually attracts double the audience at twice the price. Again, make sure you know what you are talking about before making dumb comments.
  • You poor thing, you meant to say: "Is Formula 1 the poor man's NASCAR?"
  • Yes.

    With NASCAR, it's like playing T-Ball. Everyone hits from the tee so that they all get the same chance, but more importantly none of them could hit a fastball to save their lives. I'd love to see any NASCAR driver get behind the wheel of an F1 racer and try a Gran Prix some time. It would be good for laughs -- until the fiery crash anyway.
  • They are two different types of racing. That's like comparing Cricket and baseball.

    I like both, but my preferred choice is NASCAR.

    And if you did even a liiiiitle bit of research you would find that it ain't cheap to run in NASCAR.
  • me likes F1 and me likes NASCAR wat is der left for me to do?

    ~~~!!!!DANCE!!!~~~
  • OWNED!
    F1 IS ALWAYS BETTER!
    You just made my day
    EDIT: Well, at least F1 Drivers KNOW how to drive a car. I will respect Nascar when they go to Elk Cart Lake
  • Yeah, sure, that's why all F1 drivers are coming to Nascar. Looks like F1 is taking a back seat.
  • REAL MEN DRIVE IN NASCAR ............. F1 thats for girls!!!!!!!!!
  • everybody knows formula 1 is superior
  • Wow.. those Formula 1 folks are pretty harsh about NASCAR. Me - it's all about NASCAR. There is no other type of racing for me.
    Formula 1??? I agree. That's for babies. Waaaaaahhh....go travel voucher
    How do you change Avatars?
    May be...
  • Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
    If you want to change your cartoon avatar then follow this link.... http://avatars.yahoo.com// and follow the instructions there.......
    If you want to create a unique avatar (and you don't have one already) then you need to get a Yahoo! 360(follow this link) http://360.yahoo.com once you have that.....
    On your 360 page, select *My Page* at the top right hand side.
    Select *Edit Personal Photos* on the left hand side(this will take you to the photo upload page).
    Select Browse(this will allow you to choose from the pictures you have saved to your computers harddrive),select which one you wish to use as your avatar by clicking on it and select open(the picture you use MUST be in JPEG format and less than 5MB) scroll down to the bottom of the page and select save.
    If you have uploaded more than one picture(you can have up to 4) you will have to then re-select edit personal photos,choose the one you wish to be your avatar and set it as the primary photo and then scroll down and save.
    Now you need to go to your Answers profile page http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my;_ylt=AtnV...
    Select Edit My Info on your profile page.There are 3 photo boxes there,underneath the middle one click Use my Yahoo! 360 picture.Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Preview.
    On the new page that has just opened for you (Edit My Profile Preview) scroll down to the bottom and click OK
    That's it you have changed the picture you display,it may take a little while for the new avatar to show (sometimes it is instantaneous,but more often than not it takes a day or two) =)
  • the first answer got it. their is a lot of stuff on there.
  • If you want to get a picture, start a Y!360 page. It's a very fun place and you'll enjoy it. If you want it to just be a cartoon, go to Y! Avatars.
  • What the lady up above said was right..you can change your avatar like you did when you made the one you have only the racing stuff is limited and no particular driver.
    My avatars for racing and these are made for me.
    Pres. Tom has offered to make anyone an avatar to be more in tune with your driver and cancer awareness...I won't speak for him for sure but you could email him and see if he will make you a Jeff Gordon one.
    Then you do have to save it someplace (I save mine on my desktop) and then go to your 360 and follow the instructions above.
  • I see so many different styles that I would love to change mine to be more in tune to Jeff. But I don't know how to get the fun/fancy stuff. Can anyone help me change my avatar?
    Thanks all!
  • What " ♥ of Gold" said. She was right on, deserves best answer.
  • YEP SHE SURE KNOWS HOW AND HEARS PROOF
    THANKS TO MY NASCAR BROTHER TOM
  • How in tune with Jeff do you want to be?
    Tom Prez will put you in tune with Jeff for Nascar.93 diamante
  • Opinion survey: Was NASCAR intimidated? Read the following on the $225 million dollar law suit.?
    May be...
  • i bet they settled for much less that what was stated above..more than likely she got around $20 million.or even less
  • no they just wanted to get rid of the bad PR so they gave her enough $$$$ to shut up and go away. Regardless if the allegations were true or not
  • I agree with Tina...they NEVER get what they ask for. What a moronic decision to give her anything. Now watch....this is just the tip of the iceberg...every person who thinks they can get rich quick will be suing for "racial discrimination" and or "sexual harrassment". Morons the whole lot of them.
  • http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081219/ap_o...
  • I'm sure they were intimidated but I don't think she actually got the $225 million. Most companies run by white people are intimidated by any threat of a racial lawsuit. I think they settled on a different amount / terms. The $225 million was the original amount of the lawsuit. What she actually got wasn't made public.
    "Settlement terms were confidential"
  • I am so sick of this kind of stuff. 225 million? I mean cmon. even if they settled for 40 million or something like that. Because somebody was mean to you? Stupid. I once had a black cashier refuse to give me my change at a gas station because she said "You're white.. you have enough money.. you dont need it"
    Did I sue Texaco for 200 million dollars? No. People need to get over themselves.
  • Oh my word....
    I feel violated by that story.
    Do you know how many times I have been called whitey, honky, casper????
    I think I might file a lawsuit against someone.
    Anyone out there know a company run by "Minorities" that I might be able to get some $$ out of?
    Please, I feel so violated!!!!!
    And yes they were intimidated, now just wait for the steamroller to come in.
  • What's wrong with this country. No one should get that much money for discrimination, unless someone was killed. No wonder our insurance rates are so high. Our judicial system is pathetic. I hope this person is forever plagued by people using her for the money she gets. It's just stupid and pathetic.
  • Tom P hit it right on the head...........I can not count the times that I have been called a racist name by a black person and so have my kids at school. The bottom line is that it is "OK" for blacks to be racists but not the whites. This is the REAL problem in this country........It has to be the same for both sides. I think NASCAR just gave her a check to make her go away...........................
  • i think they just didn't want the bad publicity which means they were intimidatedresults for taboo tuesday
