Where can I get cheap die cast cars?

May be...

  • Not Ebay or Nascar.com. Does anyone know any little internet outlets that sell cars for very cheap?
  • You can try this site. They have some

    http://purplepostbox.buy-a-rama.com/buy/...
  • There isn't a place to get them wholesale, unless you have a business and buy a case of the same car at 1 time. One reason is that there are usually only 5,000 made of each .1/24th.

If you follow Ebay close enough, you can get good deals. The older cars are worth more, but you can get better deals on them on Ebay.

Here is a Dale Jr AMP car from 2008 on Ebay for $36.00 including shipping.

you just have to spend some time on there and find the DEALS

here is one for $11 http://cgi.ebay.com/DALE-EARNHARDT-JR-20...

  • ...Would you think I was weird if I had the left corner of my tv covered up so I wouldn't have to see Digger?

    May be...

  • No, but Digger isn't much of a distraction for me.
  • No,not at all.
  • Ha...yeah it is kind of ironic how a simple camera angle evolved into a cartoon and mini series and what not. And the sad thing is is that they are making hundreds of thousands of dollars off of it...But your idea doesn't bother me at all.
  • Actually no, but I don't think that would work. They still have sound effects and I have seen scurrying around a couple times. Plus there's now the stupid cartoon during the prerace show.
  • Yes I would

Plus, what would you do when FOX showed the Digger cartoon during the Pre-Race show?
  • I don't call it wierd, but I have to wonder why you obsess so much about it that you have to take such drastic action. I just ignore it.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • No not at all the corner of my TV already is damaged from where I used my sling shot to practice getting Digger. Luckily it is not my good TV.

Actually my female german shepherd has caught 3 live ones in the back (they kind of look like Digger) She does get mad at the TV when she sees him on.
  • LOL Yeah! Why would you want to cover him up. lol
  • I'm thinking about shooting the TV where Digger is next time I see him. I'll get him eventually.
  • yeh i already think your weird aswell, plus abit obsessive
  • You might miss some good racing if you had a corner of your TV covered the whole time.

That camera angle is awesome, and if that little critter is the only thing we have to put up with to see that angle, then OKAY...just think of how annoying it would be if Digger was sponsored. It could be as bad as that friggin' duck that walks across the screen during the race.

Come to think of it, both the duck and the gopher need be shot.
  • Funny, my husband wants to do the same thing. I'll tell him about your plan. Not weird at all.
  • $100 for you GREAT idea !!!!!!!!!!
  • Nope not at all......I would be right there with you.
  • No I wouldn't..
But I do think you're weird for wanting to announce it to the world..
  • You would be a freak.
  • No, because I know you dislike Digger. (I on the other hand, like him, both the camera and the animation) but the mini-series during FOX preraces was a little too much. Now, if they put it on SPEED channel, and made full 30 minute episodes, I could understand that. It was a nice idea but is getting a bit cliche. I do enjoy the AFLAC duck very much as well. By the way, DW rocks.
  • umm...
  • I already think you are weird because I have no idea what you are talking about.
  • I don't know, do you think it's weird that I turn the sound off so I don't have to listen to Darrell Waltrip and his keen powers of observation and ability to give the blatantly obvious his personal touch.check aol email in outlook

  • Can Jimmie Johnson win 4 championships in a row?

    May be...

  • Just for Jonah YES he can !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's Why we love children Our NASCAR fans of tomorrow !
  • Yes he could but my gut says he won't. Gordon is too hungry and MM is now in the mix at Hendrick. Jr is finally coming into his own and if RCR, Roush and Tony's new teams have to say anything about it i would say no. Jonah may be the factor and he doesn't even know it!
  • NOOOOOOOOO! His mojo is fading lol.
  • Well, I asked this question a few months ago and got some really good answers:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

But yes, I do. Jimmie is a very talented driver, perhaps one of the best currently racing today. But it will take a lot to beat Jeff Gordon...Jeff is VERY determined this year and I am surprised he hasn't won a race. This should be an interesting season...
  • catfish thinks he may be able to. That would be amazing catfish thinks
  • I think it's Smoke's turn again. Little Jonah might be a Stewart fan anyway lol.
  • no, and here is the reason why. The #48 team tested more than any other team at tracks that held cup races. With NASCAR's ban on testing at these tracks, they will not have the advantage they had over other teams in the past. That is the reason that Jimmie will not win 4 in a row.
  • Well ... since you put it that way it's hard to say no.
  • Can he? Sure. Will he? Perhaps. I sure hope not. He is due to have some bad luck in those final ten races.
  • I would have to say yes. Right now it is still statistically possible for this year. It will be a good year for Jonah and Jimmy.
  • I think he may be able to for our newest nascar fan Jonah!
  • Four times in a row...why not, he certainly has the skill and equipment.
After all he wins more races in two years than the great Dale Jr has in his career.
I've been a Jimmie Johnson fan since he was a rookie.

    GO JIMMIE!!!
  • He can but he will have to battle with his teammate Jeff Gordon.Jeff is your 09' champ!
  • Awww...of course he CAN for the newest member of NASCAR Nation.

Will he??? he will show Jonah how to win races and then show Johnah how to wreck and lag behind so that Jonah can see someone else win too. :0)
  • I didn't think that he could win 3 and he proved me wrong. So I would have to say yes, with Chad Knauss as his crew chief and Rick Hendricks as his owner there is no reason that he can't win a 4th.
  • Nope... Brian Vickers will beat him...Just Watchusing three monitors
  • If Dale Jr quit racing...?

    May be...

  • ...would NASCAR cease to exist or be better off with a professional driver taking his spot?

I know all the other drivers that he has wrecked wouldn't miss him.
  • Oh you're so critical of Dale Jr - Who's your favorite driver? -And the short answer would be YES it would basically cease because his fan base pays all the bills. (You know this already or you wouldn't be asking such loaded questions.) lol
  • it wuld go down like a flat tire
  • No, but you trolls would have to find another driver to rag on. I'll give you some helpful hints.
    Ryan Newman-1 win since 2005
Kevin Harvick- hasn't won in 2 yrs, and only 11 wins total despite driving what were repainted #3 cars.
  • No the sport would not die if JR quit but it also won't be the same. I can proudly say I am a JR fan and have been since he started in Nationwide. That is not to say I don't like other drivers and dislike several drivers (Kyle Busch) but I don't denigrate them for who they like. Treat me the same. Report Abuse
  • it would go down but i don't think too badly.
  • No single driver holds the keeps the sport in business. If it did, NASCAR would have folded when Dale Sr. died. The rest of your question is just troll bait that I won't respond too. Thanks for the 2 points.
  • Hey, out loud..
    Stop crying..
Your bottle will be warm in a minute..

    Days of Thunder movie..........?

    May be...

  • yes on the first and second one and no on 3.
  • No he wasn't.. At least not the entire movie..
One scene was BASED on an anecdote about Tim Richmond..
The one where he goes berserk, and crashes into the Taxi cab,
    and Nicole Kidman gets angry..
Tim really did that at Fort Lauderdale International Airport with James
Johnson (the manager of Hendrick Motor Sports, at the time.. Not to be confused with Jimmie) halfway out of the car, after James delivered his
    new Corvette..
The rest of the movie was invented, with a couple of stories thrown in
    that involved other drivers..
Some of the characters, on the other hand, were loosely based on real people..
  • who cares............i dont think u are gonna go around daytona at race speed in reverse, then pit and fix the transmission w/out going a lap down, then hit the wall 100 times, then when the race..............the movie to me was a waste of my time and so far fetched,it was just to the piont of idiocy,

    sorry to offend anyone :)
  • The DVD The Ride Of Their Lives has a whole segment on Tim Richmond.

I enjoyed that DVD very much.
  • Wasn't Cole Trickle (Tom Cruise) supposed to portray Tim Richmond in that movie. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Tim Richmond die of AIDS? Was there anything about this in the movie?
  • yes he was. Tim did die of complications from AIDS. After his death a former girlfriend came forward and said that she was HIV positive and likely infected him.

    >>>>Cole Trickle, the main character in the movie Days of Thunder, played by Tom Cruise, was loosely based on Richmond and his interaction with Harry Hyde and Rick Hendrick.>>>>>

    >>>>>>The secrecy surrounding the circumstance of his death caused speculation for several days.[18] On August 23, his death was revealed to be caused by AIDS, which he had acquired from an unknown woman.[18] In the press conference, his physician Dr. David Dodson said: "There's no way of knowing who that woman was. Tim was a celebrity with a lot of charisma, a handsome guy. He naturally attracted a lot of women.>>>>>

The last two paragraphs were from Wikipedia but I do recall reading the name of the woman who claims she is the one who infected Tim...can't find it right now though.
  • i like the part when cole first meet nicole kiddman and put her hand on his d**k
  • Great answer, Maggie. Thanks for the info.

  • Is it wrong to think Bristol Palin is hot?

    May be...

  • I guess she is, but she is a too little young for my taste. Her mom is hot as well.
  • I'm starting to think not much is right about you.
Why do I keep answering your questions!

Also, is your name West or Wilson??

You are the most frustrating person I have ever met. Feet? Why is there always some inside joke, I'm so confused!
  • Haha they put this in the NASCAR section because of Bristol.
  • That is one hot track. I love to see them boys run on her. They will be running on her in a week!
  • Yup, she's 18, she puts out, and she's available.

    Sounds hot to me!
  • O.K. Adam. I have to know, what is going on with you and Wendy?

And I guess I should answer the question instead of being nosy, so, um, no I don't think she is hot.
  • depends on whether I can get past her to her mom and then a threesome.

Careful Adam. Wendy want you to play the part of a pedophile!
  • Guys, my answers lately have lead me to second guessing my taste in women.

Does anyone else find Bristol Palin hot? She's at least the hottest young lady in Alaska, she's already shown that she puts out, and clearly doesn't make you wear a condom.

Am I nuts, or are there at least a few others out there who'd love to get with that?
  • you see, this is why people think we are rednecks.
  • Especially at night
  • I've been telling everyone that she's hot and everyone thinks she's ugly.
  • OMG

    Storm Bandit is outrageously hilarious!!!!
  • She is pretty hot, and now she is available too.
  • 18 to 80 blind crippled and or crazy.
  • Why don't you make a movie about it and post on YouTube... Give it a good name, something snappy... like, ... Nail-in' Palin.

Bristol is a bit young for my liking, but Her momma has it goin on ;)
  • Storm, what's she going to look like after 500 laps around the track? Rubber all up and down the sides, tore up infield and pit road with nuts all over the place. Just sayin'.
  • just got finished lookin at pictures of her.... man u r right she is fuckin hot i dont care about the baby daddy drama i wonder if she likes black guys that voted for obama but that ole be my lil secretsolara turbo

  • Has anyone else noticed the tiny difference in Dale Jr's car?

    May be...

  • ALL the cars change a little bit from year to year. It's so that people can keep track of which year it is, but most importantly - To Sell More Die Cast !!!!

Seriously, it happens to all the driver's cars.
  • I haven't noticed it.

  • ok .... settledown !!
  • The area where the grille is located is now green/blue, depending on which car he runs. (nat guard or amp) Last year, that area was all white. It's a teency difference, but his car looks way different. Has anyone else noticed that?
  • they say the devils in the details sorry I have not noticed that and they have the week off this week so won't be seeing it then.

Does anyone else find it funny when drivers are always wearing their firesuits in commercials? It's like they wear them to do daily activities.

  • What will you do on Sunday?

    May be...

  • I'll probably play video games all day since it's supposed to be pouring on Sunday in NE Mississippi.
  • Probably switch out the winter clothes with spring/summer clothes, if its a nice day i'll do some chores outside ...and is it this Sunday or next thats selection Sunday?.. I'll be watching that too.
  • I will be almost competing my 1400 mile trip to Florida and about lay on the beach!
  • Well, I am hoping to be calling a bunch of relatives and friends with good news about the birth our son! My wife's original due date was today but the last one, according to the latest ultrasound, is the 17th (St Patrick's Day). Hopefully Jonah Theodore can join us this coming weekend and will be home for Bristol LOL He's never seen a race before but I think he's probably heard the cars on the "crank it up" laps. He will be the world's newest Jimmie Johnson fan, we already got his first 48 gear at a baby shower a few weeks ago! My wife is anxious and getting nervous where I am SO excited I just want to get on with it already! If he is not born yet I will be doing some last minute preperations for his arrival and putting together a new dresser for his room.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • i have many nascar races DVD recorded. so I'lll watch a few of those. i think i'll rewatch the Spring Sprint Cup Talladega race from last year. that's what i'll be watching this Sunday.

i also would like to congratulate: tregosteevo Secretary of Defense on his new baby boy.
  • Wash and wax the truck.
  • I would love to take a nap, but I can't! The boys won't let me! So, I'm not sure what we'll do yet.
  • Catfish will be Fishing, looking at women, dreaming about you and more fishing this weekend
  • We're going snowmobiling..
  • I will be packing up stuff for my May 2009 move and cleaning the house. I may watch some action movies and wash the cars and dogs if it is nice out. I am going to go through withdraw without any Nascar races on this weekend.
  • I will be spending the afternoon on the couch.
  • daydream about you
  • Well, this coming Sunday is Selection Sunday.
  • supposed to rain here in maryland this weekend so guess ill go to walmart and pick up some tp and other supplies
and congradulation secatary of defense !!!!!
  • Depends on the weather. If it's nice, we'll probably go for a hike, hang around outside.

If the weather's bad...well, we were planning on painting and cleaning the carpet this weekend anyway. Yay.
  • Cleaning, and catching up on sleep for me. i have the 4:30 to midnight shifts for Friday and Saturday where usually i am 9 to 5.
  • Ice fishing if the ice is ok :)
  • When there is no race how do you spend your Sunday afternoons?
Its normally a day of rest and racing for me but I have a spring cleaning bug and want to get at it. Sunday afternoon looks like a good time for that.
  • I have to work every Sunday. I hardly ever get to see races on Sunday anyway. Thats why I love Saturday night races and Sunday afternoon races that go into the evening.
  • Going SHOPPING the boss ( wife ) wants a new car . GRRRRRRRR
  • Selection Sunday!
  • Basketball, Tiger Woods is back, It's spring! ...Nuff said.
  • Probably cutting grass and other boring yard work !
  • Usually I am out on Sunday afternoon with my wife as that is out only day together. I tape the race and watch when I get home, get to skip the commercials that way and with fox that saves at least an hour LOL.
When there is not race I just catch up on some rest and watch a movie or two.blowing upper radiator hose
  • Do you think it's ironic that Jeff Gordon said Kyle Busch is one of the great drivers in NASCAR?

    May be...

  • No not at all. Jeffy is man enough to admit Kyle is a very talented driver, not resent his success like a lot of (especially) Dale Jr fans. I have always liked Kyle despite his crybaby tendencies, I just wish he had found his niche in an American car (Chevy) instead of wrecking them all the time.
  • If at the end of the year I hope itsbetween Jeff Gordon,Kyle Busch And Kurt Busch. Got to have a mopar in the mix..
  • Ha Hawg Head... its funny cuz u want them 3 and i hate them 3... (sorry this isnt a real answer)
  • When Jeff told Rick Hendrick he would give up his salary for this year if it was needed to get his team more competitive I knew he was going to win the championship.

Jeff is a good person and a good person will only talk about a rival's good points. Kyle Busch can handle a car so it makes sense to me.
  • well he said he had the best pure talent .. however don't mean he will ever win a title.. you have to be willing to settle for second or the best you can do with the car with beating down the wall. today's champion is a combo . driver talent , brains , crew chief, car setup and LUCK.. at some point each one of them has to win you a race or two. just look at the great drivers that never won a title..and it is only getting harder.. and yes .. 2009 could be Jeff's year again.. last year he had bad luck that killed him in some races.. this year so far ..he is staying up front and even bad luck has not stopped him form a good finish so far.. he might have the new car figured out and with a little luck it could spell trouble for 42 other drivers.. the drive for 5 is alive .. again... remember under the old points system jeff would be going for # 7 . jeff has not won a title in the chase format . however had a 331 points lead wash away with the reset at the start of the chase to finish behind jimmy johnson by less than 70 points.. you have to be good for 26 then great for the last 10 to win the title. that is what the chase has give us. basically the first 10 races are about meaning less just finish in the top 20 .. then may a push mid season then in the last 10 bring it .
  • Better than the best...sweet.
I think Jeff's got himself a new found sense of focus, he could be the man to beat. Time will tell.
The suspense is like a drug..
  • It's ironic. But that's just Jeff being the nice guy he is. He always gives credit to others and it's not all about himself. I believe Jeff was considered the favorite to win the 2008 championship, but he said that he thought Jimmie deserved to be the favorite. Jeff took credit for the #24's problems last year. One of my favorite quotes from him is this: “I don't feel I'm a step above anyone on this team. I'm just another link in the chain.”

Jeff himself doesn't always get the credit he deserves. But he is just as good today as he was in the late 1990's. I believe Jeff Gordon is very capable of being the champion this year. His consistency is remarkable. I expect him to have a win within five races.
  • ...and then Jeff Gordon becomes our points leader? Is Jeff Gordon somehow going to prove to us that he is better than the best? Do you think Jeff Gordon may be the driver to become the 2009 Sprint Cup Champion?delta silver medallion phone number

NASCAR Trivia!!! Who was the last person...?

    May be...

  • Yeah...that link says Ernie Irvan...so I will go with that. Yes I had to look it up...I wasn't watching racing back then.

Hey missed you on my unscramble these drivers question.

    EDIT: Wait...you said WON a race...ooooooooooooo
  • In the modern NASCAR era,who was the last person to win a race in the #6 car BEFORE Mark Martin took it over?
  • Ernie Irvan???
  • ernie irvan
  • Buddy Baker

    EDIT: Nope!
I didn't look it up until AFTER

    >> Speaking of 'ol Buddy, don't forget about the Legends race on the 21st on ESPN2 @ 6EDT
  • I really do think its Ernie Irvan.
  • I wracked my little brain, and as much stuff, as I can remember I couldn't think of anyone that won.. Cotton, Owens, and Marshall Teague came to mind, but they are far from "modern era"..
So I had to look it up, and I found the very last win, before Mark was Pete Hamilton, back in 71..
So the answer is there were no wins for the car number before Mark..
But what a great list of names, that number has has taken to victory,
but none in the "modern era" except Mark..
  • No one in the modern era has WON in the #6 car besides Mark Martin in the Cup Series.22 mag hand gun
  • NASCAR Nation hows your home town track today?

    May be...

  • Well I am assuming my track is wet! Its raining here.

And if Bristol were my track I would think I was the luckiest person ever and I wouldnt change anything. I love it!
  • My hometown track is HOT from the race last Sunday, great race, I was there!

    Go Tony Stewart #14
  • Warm and sunny around 80 degree's. Empty for now with speedweek's over and bike week gone. Spring breaker's are coming soon. Bristol is fine although I prefer super speedway's. Truth be told.

    Have a great day OF.
  • Opening night is March 20th.

Five Flags Speedway, home of the Snowball Derby.

To tell the truth, I don't remember anything.
  • I have never been to the Bristol track. But I can't wait for the Bristol stomp!! If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. Well said my friend.
  • My local tracks are still closed :( . Open testing starts around the middle of April
  • Waukesha, WI (Milwaukee Mile): foggy, possibly raining, close to the lower 40's.

if Bristol was my track: i would have left Bristol the way it was before it got repaved.
  • My home tracks in Utah are 13 degrees and covered in snow.
    brrr....it's unusually cold for March.

I liked Bristol before the repavement..if I could change anything, I'd hit the rewind button and undo it.
  • its gonna be 78 here today so nice weather.. but blah Ky speedway only hosts the nationwide which I dont watch, and I doubt it will ever get a sprint cup race since its the same old 1.5 cookie cutter... why couldnt they have done something different!!!
  • Irwindale Speedway & Fontana (CA), its gonna be partly cloudy here today in the upper 60's. I'd leave Bristol alone, I'd lower the ticket prices and try to do something with the hotel owners around there to keep their room prices down.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Our hometown track is just a dirt track, and after the rain we got all night long, I imagine it is one sloppy mess. Living here in the midwest, Kansas is the only state close to me that has a race.

I love Bristol, even with the newer pavement. That is one of the tracks I have on my "would like to go to" list.

    Have a good day!
  • Question,,, If Bristol was your track ,What would you change ?

I like it just the way it is !!

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
  • I'd turn it into a trout pond or change the name to DOVER JR.
  • Fair 77 F Wind E 8 Dewpoint 61..
I'd change it back to the old layout..
They (not sure which they) keep saying it was changed to promote
side, by side racing, but there was more on the old configuration
than we have now, on the new configuration..
It's so tame compared to the old lay out, and I'm disappointed..
  • My local track is RIR if you want to call it a "local track". The big boys will be in town in a couple of months. Bristol is awesome. I liked the changes they made a couple years ago even I know I'm in the minority with that opinion.high mileage bmw
  • Mikey is attending the 12 hours of Sebring - What are the best turns to see the race ?

    May be...

  • Where are the best action packed turns and why ?
I can tell you at Road Atlanta, as that WAS my home track.
What turns will have the large TV screens ?
Just give me a run down............
  • The North Paddock is usually considered the best..
You would have access to turns one through five, as well as
thirteen through sixteen.. They are all good turns to watch,
and I'm sure you'll be your share of wandering around..
Here is all the info you'll need.. They even have a map of the
    entire place..

Jr Hater Nation......How many races would Jr have to win for you to consider him a "good driver"?

    May be...

  • Infinite is not a number.
  • 37
  • Look i like Jr and yeah he is a good driver ,but to hear alot of his fans talk hes the greatest out there which is far from the case dont get me wrong i like Jr and even hope he does well to get alot of folks off his back ,but you gotta admit a few of the JR fans have caused alot of the JR bashing with the way they act , if you dont belive me go to a race and you will see what im talking about
  • i thought one every 18 was good...but i guess you need to win 8 races a year and then suck in the chase so you don't get bashed...

honestly, i think he's going to have to win a championship before the haters even get close to stopping...i'm pulling for him just so everybody will leave him alone
  • He could win the next 32 races Lenny and it wouldn't be enough, there will always be haters as long as Junior drives a race car and is popular.
  • for me...............he will have to be a contender EVERY week.
right now he is a good driver, but like i said to get to the next level,he needs to contend every week, like rowdy, johnson, edwards.these drivers are top notch............i think that if changes are made within the hendrick organization, perticularly the 88 team.........like new crew chief,he can reach that next level.i would like to see him get there.

might i add............people expect him to be like his daddy, which i think will never happen, and for that i think that this causes alot of disgust with fans of nascar.

that brings me to the waltrips...............one was a hell of a racer and won what,82 races i think.the other has what 4 i believe.

some people have what it takes and others dont.
  • You can't address the haters, they don't care if he wins all the races..
Talk about percentages, and lap times, and they are lost..
Not too many drivers could do what Jr did, by having his stats hold up,
even after two, or three seasons running in inferior equipment, and the
conflicts, and problems of changing teams..
He met his goals last year (a points race, and The Chase), and even
exceeded them by winning two non-points paying races..
At this point he's only sixty points behind Jimmie, and considering how bad a start they have had, it isn't too bad at all..
  • damm he had to go take out Hamlin and Busch in daytona, thx jr learn to drive you were a lap down. Just had to get that off my chest.
  • Until he matches his father in wins and championships, there will be haters.

He is a good driver who is getting better.

    Only time will tell.
  • jr. is one hell of a driver
he needs to prove nothing to me

LEAVE DALE ALONE LEAVE HIM ALONE
    lol
    people are ignorant
  • Thanx..
Kyle is the best there ever was, and they hate Jr is all his fans know..
I'm glad the media has cooled on Jr, but so far this year they have Kyle winning the
Daytona 500 (and they still want to count it as a win)..
How many times did Sr have us convinced he won Daytona, up till the last lap? Report Abuse
  • Jr is a good driver just not one of my favorites. No hatin behind this computer.

Nice avatar Steffy! : ) Your a great sport!
  • I am really dying to know....................................
  • educated people don't hate
  • 2 - 3
  • Go get 'em Lenny. Look at cute Steffy, love it.
  • For the publicity and fan support he has, you'd think that 2-3 PER SEASON would be a minimum requirement. Throw in a championship, or even being close enough the last race of the season to smell the champ's exhaust and that would help too.
It may sound like I'm a "hater" but I really like the guy! But you have to admit, for his limited success, he's really got a lot of folks taking off the red and donning GREEN. I hope he lives up to what all those fans are hoping for. I know my driver finally did (#48) and it's cool to see them run off with wins like that. I wish the same for Jr. and think that with a good (Hendrick engine) "TEAM" around him, he'll do even better this year.halo 2 level 44 icon
  • Jr. vs Kyle Petty, who is a bigger....?

    May be...

  • Poor Kyle Petty
  • You bring up an excellent point. I wouldn't want to be either one of them. The pressure on both of them must be awful, but different. They are both great guys & I love both of them. I don't think Kyle would get bashed more than Junior because his status is different than Juniors. For some reason ever since Adam was killed and Victory Junction Gang Camp started, Kyle still didn't have as much pressure as Junior. Junior was thrown into the attention of the media even before his Dad was killed. Over the years due to his popularity and marketing name the pressure increased.Junior has said over and over that he doesn't want to be compared to his Dad. People need to let that go. Then there was his leaving DEI and the controversy with Theresa. Kyle in his own way has always been a fan favorite. It's a sentimental thing. Seems no matter what anyone says about Junior, proving his stats, any possible argument you can think of, it doesn't matter. There are those who luv to bash Junior and keep doing it. If you ever come up with the reason, please let me know. I normally just ignore those questions because the result is always the same. It's a shame because Junior as a person is a great person the same as Kyle is and I'm sure Senior is proud of him for what he has done with his life. Thanks for asking this question.
  • This is a total no brain-er, JR by a country mile. Kyle has done Absolutely nothing for the sport but make his dad look like a chump.
this is Kyles big accomplishments over 28 years (since 1981) Career wins, 8 top 5's 52, top 10's 173 and avg. finish 21.3. VS JR's Career over 9 years wins 18, top 5's 86, top 10's 138 and avg finish 16.2 JR may not be his dad by a long shot but he sure is a long long way from being as bad as kyle.
  • Kyle and Jr are not in the same league K.
Kyle is a class act, even if he is a Long hair from the 70's (but its cool)
As for Jr, .... it's not worth commenting on

Sec of Def. You make some very good points about Jr. I really didn't have a problem with him when he was with D.E.I. I can understand why he left. If he signed with any other team, then I really wouldn't have any gripe with JR. I honestly don't see him being nearly as strong as Sr was.
  • The only reason Kyle Petty stayed at it as long as he did was to raise awareness for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and to honor the memory of his son Adam. I don't believe that either would be considered a dissapointment by their fathers. Dale Sr. got to race alongside Dale Jr, watch him win a couple of Busch Series championships and get his first cup wins. Richard has gotten to build up the Victory Junction stuff with Kyle and is incredibly proud of all the good he has done to benefit disabled children across the country. People bash Jr. because he is the most popular driver. Many fans feel that he is unfit to carry that title and is only living off of his dad's name. Kyle has never been a threat to most people's favorite driver, neither in ability or popularity. I don't even know that there are THAT many people that hate Jr. as much as they say they do. I think that in here it is more the tr0!!$ perception that Dale Jr. fans are an easier target and will get more riled up than fans of other drivers.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • Most people call Petty "The King", yet so many people on this forum act as if Earnhardt was the greatest driver to ever draw breath. I admit he had talent, and the only driver today i would even compare to him is Kyle Busch. Yet Earnhardt was more often than not a "dirty" driver, pulling a lot of the same moves his son did at Daytona this year. (That shocked the hell outta me, I thought Junior would never wreck someone on purpose). Seems like the old USSR where history gets re-written, nowadays Earnhardt is considered a saint, although old timers will remember he had as many race fans who hated his guts as he did who liked him. So up until Daytona I would have said Kyle was the bigger disappointmnet, but if Junior is going to sell his soul to the devil like his daddy did, I'm changing my vote.
  • Ok, lets say that Richard Petty and Dale Sr. both left the sport the year Sr. died. Also lets say Kyle Petty had started driving the same time Jr. did and he has the same stats he did when he was driving.
Comparing Jr. and Kyles records who has been the bigger disappointment? If Kyle was driving now, would he get more respect than Jr. is getting because of his father or would he be bashed more because he has less wins than Jr.?
  • Junior by far is the better driver and person. There is alot of history in both names and Kyle Petty is a wonderful person I mean look what he did with Victory Junction Camp. Junior is the better driver.
  • ?
  • There is difference in the 2 of them. I actually think Kyle had the talent but never the car. I really don't think his dad ever pressured him at all. You all know how earnhardt was with his passion for winning, second place is the first place loser and such. You really can't compare either one of them to their fathers.
  • I'd wait to see where junior ends up before nailing his coffin shut
  • This question really doesn't make sense, as Kyle has mostly been a back marker in his career. At least Jr is competitive.
  • Sec of defense said it well

Jr is more of a "threat" to their driver

He won 2 Busch series championships,
and has won 18 cups races, so you can't really call him a bad driver, that's a lot better than most drivers.

Since Sr was driving more recently,
and Jr won those 2 Busch champs,
    more was expected of him
  • I do beleive that Jr. has the better driving stats than Kyle and racing less years. I love Kyle because he is a sentimental favorite. Not for any real reason except that he was racing a long time and what he has been through in losing Adam and then building that wonderful Victory Junction Gang Camp...
I think people respect him more of these things than of his driving ability.
  • Listen, the ONLY reason people bash JR is because they are Jealous of his popularity, if you can think of some other reason for some immature kid to bash JR, let us know.
    Jealousy is a mofo.resco software

  • What do you think of Digger now?

    May be...

  • Hmmm luckily I didn't get home till about 120 laps to go so I didn't have to see him. So far I've managed to avoid having to watch the cartoon so I have no idea what the F-1 gopher is, but I don't see why he needed to defend us from it since NASCAR is way ahead of the F-1 in my opinion, at least here in the US
  • I thought for sure Jeff Burton dug Digger up when he went through the grass at least i was hoping so. Digger needs to go, sorry.
  • im so sick of digger as a whole..it was cool last year but its just starting to get ridiculous
  • I'm warming up to the bugger.
  • yep, i already like him anyway, but that was a great skit. i'm not going to the martinsville spring race, but i can't wait till richmond so i can seek digger out and have my picture taken with him.
  • I hate to admit it but I really like Digger. He's a cutie! I missed the cartoon today so I didn't get to see that. You and I may be in a very small minority regarding Digger! LOL
  • I missed that today, and am glad I did.

Sorry, but I watch Nascar to see some of the best drivers in the most exciting racing series in the world. I do not watch it to see a stupid little cartoon about a gopher. If I wanted to watch a cartoon I'd just turn it to Nick and watch Spongebob.
  • I don't have a problem with F-1 (although I do with some of their fans I've seen on here who act like F-1 is so much greater than NASCAR), so I don't really care. I'm about to let my cats loose on Digger though. They'll get a fun living toy to play with and I won't have to see him again.
  • I thought it was kinda cool last year, when it was first used. Now, it's become a way for Fox to make millions on stupid Digger Merchandise.

I saw the cartoon today and was appalled. I understand NASCAR is trying to become more family friendly than it was in 2000 (when you couldn't wear a NASCAR jacket to school since it was plastered with tobacco-related items), but it's gotten to a point where they are trying too hard. If you want a Digger cartoon, contact Cartoon Network.

It's stupid things like that which waste time and push the start of the race back. Daytona didn't finish the biggest race of the year because of the start time, and had it rained today I think NASCAR would have lost a lot of credibility. Let's leave the cartoons to the cartoon channels, shall we?
  • Did you like how Digger was defending NASCAR from the F-1 gopher, trying to look cool in front of Diggers girlfriend? I thought that was too cool.
  • We change channels when that rodent is on. I'm never gonna be a digger fan, sorry Fox TV.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I'm glad they didn't show him as much this race as the last.
  • i say it time and time again. he's got more merchandise than some drivers. that's not right. get rid of the camera as a whole, it makes it too tough to follow the race.
  • Im sorry but I still dont like Digger. The F-1 gopher looked like Pepe Le Pew and sounded like him.
  • Digger=Best thing since Kasey Kahne was born... :)
  • i think it was awesome last year...i mean how cool is a camera that can is underground...you can see some cool stuff from that camera...this year with the cartoon is dumb..kinda...i mean...they've taken it kinda too far....the t-shirts and stuff i understand but the cartoon...come on
  • Who friggin cares? I'm so glad the other sports I watch don't have some stupid cartoon they run pre-game. Pre-game(for those that watch it) is for discussing the teams, league, players, etc.. If I want to watch cartoons, I'll wake up early on a Saturday.
  • What a great gimmick. This is embarrassing.
  • He's alright, just not sure if I like him or not. It was ok last year, but this year, I don't know.
  • If I was a 3 or 4 year old child, I thought Digger would be awesome. As a Nascar fan, I'm embarrassed to watch the Fox coverage now. Just let the announcers do their stuff, show the embedded camera now and then and stop pandering to little children!!!
  • I like him
  • It's awesome!
  • Oh that was pretty cute...maybe if they didn't show him so much he wouldn't be as annoying.
  • I still don't care much for digger. I enjoyed the fact that he was showing up F-1 but I am tired of the gimmick. I like the camera and my son likes the cartoon. However, it is a way to make millions on and it is embarrassing and shameless.
  • That was the lamest and dumbest thing I have seen on TV ever. I will never watch another FOX NASCAR pre-Race again.initial d arcade ver 3
  • What would be a really bizarre (unique and never done before) way of celebrating a NASCAR victory?

    May be...

  • Doing the funky chicken on the start/finish line..or the macarena..or the hustle..or the achy breaky..you get where I'm going with this.
  • Doing a burnout on Digger would be a crowd pleaser in my home.
  • It doesnt matter what you do Fox will cut off to commercial before you could see it. Im ready for ESPN & TNT.
  • Hooky-bob off the pace car around the track on their (oiled) pit board with the checkers sticking out of their firesuit collar
  • I don't know but today was different...
Doing something for the fans would be AWESOME!!!.

Boy it's a good thing no bet was made for this week. LOL

Now bring on the boys at BRISTOL!!!!!
  • Taking off the emergency brake and standing on top of the car while it rolls down the banking.

Driving to Victory Lane with the crew sitting on the car.

Throw the flag into the stands for a lucky fan.
  • I'd like to see someone dive head first into the concrete as their signature move. But wouldn't it be their final move as well? lol

Patrick Carpentier once ran naked after winning an IRL race. I wouldn't mind seeing that trend get started in NASCAR. ; )

    http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=15696pf&...
  • have a tea party
  • Well running a victory lap in reverse gear was pretty unique. I don't know if it's ever been done before, but I'VE never seen it.
  • I was thinking mooning the crowd.
  • Somehow getting your car to do a back flip
  • Isn't bizarre by a long shot, But I think it'd be cool as hell if someone put new rear tires on the car and fried them in a burnout for a victory.
  • Don't forget the Polish victory lap.

HUGE DAVEY ALLISON AND ALAN KULWICKI FAN!!!!!!!!
  • i think kurt should have popped a top and toasted the fans, lord knows i popped and toasted him after todays buttwhipping of 42 other cars
  • We really think Kurt's Victory Lap was remarkable, creative, and no one has ever done that before! It was the beginnings of a good after race party! LOL

    Go Kurt!!!!
  • Hey, maybe they could put Patrick into the 20 car..
He sure deserves that ride more than Joey, what was that guys name?? lol
I don't think that you can think of something, that hasn't already happened..
I driver hiding in the infield, until the crowd left.. A driver pulling into the pits, and retiring while leading the race, cars winning on their roofs.. The winner unconscious in his car.. The winner vomiting on camera..
I liked what Kurt did.. Those snow angels (grass angels?) looked foolish..
  • Would.nt it be cool if they took a drawing and let one of the fans drive the victory car around the track oh man I Jam the petal to the Metal ha Nascar fan
  • I'd moon the crowd and have my sponsors name written on my azz,
  • For instance someone dive head first into the concete as a signature move.

The Flip, the Bow, and the Snow Angel has already been taken. What else?
  • Have all my guys come to the start finish line and bow.mr2 lambo doors

Nascar atlanta race winning omg long title ftl?

    May be...

  • Kurt Busch won.
  • Kurt has led most of the laps

Tony Stewart came from 2 laps down,
it would be interesting if he made it into the mix?

an early "mistake" by a pit crew member,
(chasing a tire into the grass)
caused a yellow, and trapped a lot of good cars a lap down

    edit

Kurt is still leading, and pulling away from the field, with 33 to go
  • There is still 48 laps to go, it's anybodies race at this point. Gordon, Bowyer, Vickers and Edwards are all gonna give Busch a run for his money. Right behind them is Kenseth in the run for another win. With the track kooling off, everything is changing.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • Kurt Busch w/43 to go.
  • Kurt Busch is the leader right now with about 60 to go.
  • Who is winning?
  • No one is winning but Kurt Busch is leading.trio 650 verizon
  • Why do they go counter-clockwise instead of clockwise around the track?

    May be...

  • I want to be a race car passenger: just a guy who bugs the driver. Say man, can I turn on the radio? You should slow down. Why do we gotta keep going in circles? Can I put my feet out the window? Man, you really like Tide...
  • Because we are in the northern hemisphere...
Down under, racing is done to the right.. Really..
Don't you feel more comfortable making left turns??
  • im surfin the channels on tv and stopped at a nascar race.. and realized that ive always wondered that. do you know why they dont go clockwise?
  • Because of the position of the steering wheel.

When NASCAR started the fuel tank could have been on either side depending on the model.

They also started racing before the walls were in place.
  • because the fuel tank is on the left side of the car
  • The reason for the counter clockwise direction for some sport like NASCAR is fairly obvious. Since the driver is on the left side of the car (in this country at least) driving counterclockwise provides a lot of physical advantages: drivers are shielded from the wall on banked turns, they have better visibility on the left side of the car where most people pass and the position of the driver is conducive to the effect of centrifical force. Since the boys from down under (Australia) have the steering wheel on the right side of the car it only makes sense that they would drive clockwise.expidair
  • On what TV channel can I watch the American Le Mans Series in the UK?

    May be...

  • Motors TV has extended its licence for the 2009& 2010 seasons
    http://www.paddocktalk.com/news/html/mod...
  • Where can I watch the 2009 season?

I know it was on MotorsTV up until 2008, but I don't know about this year.

    Thanks.continuous customer care gold
  • Aren't Williams breaking the rules?

    May be...

  • just like ferrari in years gone by they will probably get away with it BUT i dont think frank williams is that lucky
  • The rules don't really restrict aero add-ons completely, it's just that now there are only certain zones of the car where these are allowed.

The front of the sidepods are free from those restrictions. I can only guess that the region in which the winglets are located is also free.
  • The rules for this year state no aero add-ons, yet the Williams seems to have the shark like fins on either of the cockpit. Will these be banned or are they somehow within the rules?02 phones
  • How and where can I watch nascar(Kobalt Tools 500)games live for free on my PC?

    May be...

  • Go to http://satellite-tv-softwares.blogspot.c... Get satellite tv software for your PC.With it you can watch NASCAR race games live for free on your PC.
  • The way you asked your question gives me an idea that you are waiting on your buddy to plug in an answer advertising your satelite TV blogspot or sum such. The clue was "nascar (xxx) games". There are no NASCAR games - there are NASCAR Races. So correct that next time you ask.

Anyway, for the rest of the NASCAR racing fans out there check out this site...

    http://www.atdhe.net/

You will be able to watch the entire race from there. Booogity-booogity.
  • You wont be able to watch the whole thing. Go to youtube.com and search NASCAR. it will give you recaps of what went on during the race.
  • You can watch race at justin.tv or http://atdhe.net/live-tv-4632.html

You can't watch any Nascar Games online, unless you live on Mars.

I agree with Phat. Don't insult our intelligence. We aren't going to click on spam. Nascar Nation can spot spam creepers.

  • How many more Sprint Cup titles would Dale Earnhardt have won?

    May be...

  • Who knows? If you want a totally fabricated guess and some made up rationale... he might have won one more as he had finished second in 2000 and was still running strong. He hadn't finished outside the top 10 in points since 1992; but he also hadn't won a championship since 1994.

As for JJ, I'm hoping Kyle keeps him from making it four in a row; but if for any reason Kyle doesn't end up hoisting the Cup at Homestead, then I wouldn't mind seeing Jimmie put another record in the books.
  • He was about to retire.. He would have
announced at the end of that season that
the next, would be his last..
And if he were still alive, NASCAR would
not have changed this much.. And the seats
would still be sold out, at most tracks..
  • If he was alive, nascar would still be 4 wide through the turns at Daytona. If he was alive, 43 cars would still be eligble to win the championship with 10 races to go.

I think that Earnardt's time was running out in the Winston Cup (never say Sprint Cup and Dale Earnhardts name in the same sentence). He probably would have retired after the 02' or 03' season. But I think that he would have probably gone out with a bang and won a championship one of those 2 years, or hell, even swept 2 titles in 2 seasons.

And as for Johnson, only time will tell. It's a long road from here to Homestead.
  • he wuld have about 2 more cup titles

He can win for buut i dont thak so
  • if he was still alive and NASCAR hadn't changed the rules
