How long will it take to run 367 laps at Darlington?

May be...

  • 27.5 seconds a lap * 367 / 60 / 60 = 2.8 hours with no cautions.
  • I would say 3 1/2 hours
  • 3 hours
  • four hours. thats my guess. :0)
  • 3 Hrs. 53 min.
  • 4 1/2 hours. 500 miles
  • 3 HOURS
  • No one knows.
  • Four hour, twelve minutes, and fifty nine seconds..
  • I'd guess about 4 hours..

  • Were you one of the people cheering when Kyle Busch got that flat tire in last nights race?

    May be...

  • Hey, that's racing, it could have happened to anybody.
I wasn't 'happy' it happened to him until the race was over and he showed his lack of class by the way he walked out in a huff. Kyle Bush is a good and may even become a great driver but he has a long way to go before he can be considered a professional. He has all of the class of an 5 year old when it comes to good sportsmanship and how to lose graciously. Sure your not happy and nobody expects you to be, but look at what happened to Edwards in the last few hundred yards of the race at Talladega, can you imagine if that would have been Kyle? Carl showed that he has a lot of class and is a true professional.

Maybe it's karma, Kyle could use a lot more practice losing to help him grow up.
  • couldn't happen to such a nicer guy.. all that work and oh well it was a great place to have a flat tire
  • I was watching on TV, and I just wanted to see a race. I would rather have had Kyle restart and crash and let Leffler or Allgaier take the win.
  • I concur raztaman420
  • No. Kyle Busch is the future of NASCAR and a hell of a driver, like it or not...
  • No because I didn't watch last nights race. I was watching the Tigers beat the Indians at the bar.
  • No, but I found out theres more Nascar fans in my condo complex. Cause when he did have that tire go down and he had to pit I hard cheering like somebody had won the lotto. This is racing every race is a crap shoot, lady luck can help you win but if she is in a bad mood look out. I just wish he wasn't such a sore looser and storms out the car and head straight to the motorhome talking to no one.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • No. I still don't get why people cheer against people. There are drivers I don't like, but I also hate it when the best car doesn't win because of something like a flat tire. I never root for a car to have a flat or mechanical issue if I don't like them. (a good fuel mileage race always gets me going though!)
  • no i wasn't i hate kenseth and that was no win, if kyle would have stayed in he would have blown kenseth out of the water..
  • You know I don't care for the guy. But, I do have to admit I did feel sorry for him. He actually ran a good race then he gets a flat. That's got to be tough on anyone! (Just don't tell my husband I admitted this. He's a KB fan......)

    STEWART HAAS RACING ROCKS!
  • dont say that to loud, might get deleted.

    but yes i was.

yea there were alot of cheers in the grandstand at that point.dont know it it was because of the "shrub" or if it was because kenseth took over the lead.

shows his maturity when he walked off the track sulking like a 3 year old.941 the zone
  • Is a typical formula one car more suitable for formula one racing than a lorry?

    May be...

  • Yes, because a formula 1 car's engine is more powerful, and a formula 1 car is aerodynamically designed unlike a truck.
  • Yes ....
  • Similar.
  • Is a formula one car more suitable for transporting heavy goods than a lorry?bad o2 sensor symptoms
  • Poll : for f1 fans, when you buy a car, do you?

    May be...

  • Leave it orginal of course, unless there' something I feel that really needs to be changed
  • Modify it..
  • modify it or leave it original?
  • I bought a nice new Impreza WRX a few years ago, then spent a bunch of money modifying it to 300 bhp. I somehow managed to break the crankshaft and ended up with a ВЈ4000 bill to replace the bottom end of the engine! since then modifying hasn't had the same appeal for some reason!!
  • leave it original...why modify and ruin a car which you can only buy once..relax furniture
  • How great was that, kyle busch?

    May be...

  • Well what do ya know? I guess he's not really a Stockcar Superman afterall.

lol from a guy whose a fan of the driver who taught the Shrub-boy everything he knows!!!
  • It just goes to prove, there is no good luck in racing, only bad luck.
  • Yes, in a way. Kyle is sooo good the only way it seems anyone can beat him is if he has a problem like he did tonight. I think he is gonna be on fire tomorrow!!!!
  • It's no biggie...if that's the only way the other drivers have a chance, so be it. I'd take a little bad luck with a whole lot of good talent anyday, because at the end of the day he's still #1
  • Why all the hate?

The guy killed the field he earned that one! Grow up and recognize talent!
  • nascar should have thrown a red flag with debris on the track and he should have won
he will win the sprint cup race saturday
  • ha ha boy i loved it i thought it was gonna be another busch blowout. but i wish it didn't have to end under the caution i think kenseth had a flat too and i bet you Jason leffler would of won it. but yeah kyle is a wuss for storming out like a baby. he always wins and expects to win and when he doesnt he has a fit. GROW UP!! this is why i hate him

    GO JEFF GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
  • yeah that was pretty awesome. I thought his baby reaction after the race showed what kind of wuss he is.. what a dork!! I cant stand his attitude.. I mean I agree with another answerer on here.. you have to take the good with the bad and stop whining just because you don't win every friggin race.

    Go JUNIOR #88!!! :)
  • I was just sitting here at my condo watching the race, and all of a sudden I must to have heard 10or more people cheering for his mis-fortune...and dang I thought I had the only nascar bunch at my place gonna have to scoop out these new Nascar fans at my condo...But no, I do not wish bad luck on any driver, he led most of the race, had the best car. But its racing and S**T and Crap can happen in a split second. I just wish he would MAN up and not storm outta of the race track when this happens, be a man Kyle its racing, its not gonna kill you to face the media. I still say you are ready for F1 you already have that F1 attitude. This is really the only problem I have with Kyle Busch, yes you are great and you win. But its racing and this happens to even the best of them. You have to take the bad with the good.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I think he would have been ok to stay out. On the green/white/checker on the restart the caution came quick, race over, he is still leading, victory circle.
  • Sorry, cant expect him to win all the time. Some mishaps are going to happen. I just wish he wouldnt act the way he does when stuff like this happens.

I dont wish any bad things to happen to Kyle, I just dont wanna see him win all the time.
  • man was that awesome to see kyle get a flat with 2 to go?
  • it was awesome!a great finish to a boring race. i was hoping he would stay out and blow the tire in turn 1 so he would finish 30th on back but hey at least he didn't win.it was so funny to hear all the fans rise up and cheer when he went to pit,and it was great to see him get out of his car and cry like the little immature baby he is, as always.kyle after the race......

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...
  • LOL! You got the nerve! Cracked me up!
Someone sitting here was saying: Wish he'd blow... Then a lot of Cheering! lol
He just had bad luck that's all, Kyle's an awesome driver... Just like it when: What goes Around, Comes Around. Know what I mean?
hmm... Will he ever stop stalking off like that?
    Maybe when he matures more?
  • I was pissed the caution came out in the first place. I wanted to see the race play out. When the caution came out, Kenseth was catching him each lap, and Kyle was about to be marred in lap traffic. It could have been a good finish. I know Matt wouldn't spin him out to win, but I think we could have seen a close finnish.
  • Woohoo! I was so glad to see him knocked off his high horse!

Plus I wonder how he felt about people actually cheering FOR him for a change, lol!
  • Made my day. He is an arrogant p---k and a crybaby. I especially like it when he stomps off like a two year old. Can`t stand him, like Kurt though.
  • It was karma.. It was showing him that teaching other drivers a "lesson" has consequences..
I found it interesting that there was no talk of him being black flagged by NASCAR, because his car was not fit to take the green flag.. They (NASCAR) couldn't really have considered letting him attempt a restart in front of the whole field with a flat tire, could they?? They hold a car in the pit for one missing lug nut.. How could they ignore such an obvious safety issue?? It's one thing to invent "records" for him to break (the sudden, and inappropriate inclusion of truck wins, and Nationwide wins to his "win totals".. Maybe they can include Kart races too), but leaving the decision to restart up to someone with his record makes it fairly obvious that NASCAR needs to take a more neutral position, if it wants to be taken seriously..
  • I feel bad for Kyle since I really respect his driving skills. I mean cmon the kid can flat out drive anything on any track and be a contender. BUT me being a Kenseth fan I loved it but still would have liked to see them two race for it hard at the end.house wings
  • Darlington Stripe count:?

    May be...

  • yes, it's always a great race. hope the rain holds off.
  • It is a bang up race, isn't it? lol lol lol Darlington is a great track. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the rain has done and gone.
  • yes, it's always a great race. hope the rain holds off.
  • The darlington stripe > the white stripes.
  • It's a beautiful sight, ain't it? : )
  • I think they should leave the stripes on all weekend and not paint over them each night.
  • All should have the "stripe" if they are set up right. I never miss the Darlington race.
  • id say all 43 b 4 its all over with
  • 20 cars.

  • I will be in front of the TV for entire race if it goes as planned.

    GO 24!!!!
  • My plans are to kick back and watch the race with my family.
  • We're going to visit the souvenir haulers, try to get a few autographs, drop by the Speed prerace stage, then go to our seats on the frontstretch and watch all the action from just a few rows away from the track. It's going to be awesome!
  • Lots of racing this weekend, I've got all errands done already, Nationwide race tonight and qualifying, tomorrow we have Pole Day at Indy for the 500, and the Southern 500 saturday night., In case it gets rained out on saturday I have all day Sunday free, as usual the grill will be in use going to do some Red Snapper and Shrimp this weekend.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Listening on MRN ('cause I can't stand FOX) 'till I get tired/my driver goes too far down from the leader.
  • Watch the race... that's about it.

It's raining like hell here now, Darlington is in the path, so I'd say quals are cancelled.
  • I may be packing to move. Can't afford my apartment rent without a job. Been unemployed since Dec.1 last year. I've tried everything possible so if all goes well I'll move in with a friend and his wife. Thing's are really up in the air right now. Time will tell but thing's have a way of working out. Enjoy the race and Happy Mother's day to all you wonderful Mom's out there.
  • I will be here at home watching it after I take my dad(his bday) and mom for mothers day out to lunch. That is my plans for the race weekend.
  • Well actually it's gonna be Great! Begins in a couple of hrs in fact! Family/Friends are gonna be here, I have Lots of Good Food/Drinks ready. Spend the day on the Lake (that is if the rain stays away) tubing, etc. Enjoy my Beautiful Granddaughter (that part is the Bestest!), ride scooters with her, play babies, etc Of Course watch the race, scream for my drivers to win!
  • It's My birthday this weekend so I will be relaxing with the people I love watching the Darlington race tomorrow!
  • I actually will be on a church-wide retreat, and will not be able to view a television, because there isn't one up there, so I am going to miss Darlington. Hey, I could watch the replay on Speed later in the week, right?

Don't tell me what happens!!! I want to be surprised! Ha Ha! Right, like I could wait until Wednesday.
  • I made a deal with my boss to have off on Saturday in exchange for working on Sunday. My sister is coming up and we will BBQ with Mom for an early Mother's Day get together. We'll take a little afternoon siesta, then it'll be time to fire up the Margarita machine, and go racing at Darlington!
  • As usual staying home with the g/f.

Cooking dinner, maybe a cocktail or two.

    Nice relaxing night planned.
  • At the house with a couple of friends!!!

Enjoy the lake house, sounds great!! If it's in Florida let me know and I will bring the beer!!
  • hey papa

going to make some tuna salad and a cold bud ice
    watching nationwide race too

hey binder i wish u much luck
  • oh yeah, I am sitting and watching all weekend, do not know what I am gonna do Sunday but today and tomorrow are planned...
  • I actually think I'm going to miss this weekends race Sir Papa, I'm in the process of gutting a house out and totally redoing the whole thing over!

One last room to dry-wall and mud before the paint starts flying! Kitchen is on order, tub is in as with the toilet and bathroom sink!

All that's left is Paint, Carpet, hard wood floors in the dinning and kitchen, and all the Kitchen cabinets!

BUT TRUST ME SIR PAPA, WE WILL HAVE SOME KIND OF RADIO OR SOMETHING I CAN LISTEN TO THE RACE ON!!!

Good Luck To Kasey, and for you if I remember correctly it is Tony Stewart!!!
  • I have to work all weekend and it being Mother's Day there is a big promotion where i work and it will be busy. I know i will get no racing in this weekend. At least i have Charlotte next!
  • What are your plans for the race this weekend ?

The nicest thing about the future is that it always starts tomorrow.
  • i'll be working all weekend :(
unless it rains sat. night, which the weatherman says it might, then i can watch :)
  • Once my babies go to bed on Saturday, I'll get to watch the race in peace!

I'm the rootinist, tootinist gunfighter in the North, East, South aaaaaand West!
  • I'll have to record the race because our season ( Ont Pro Challenge
Series ) starts this Saturday night. Hopefully it will end up in the winners circle like the last 3 years. Then on Sunday I have to get my sh** together because I leave for Charlotte early Wed morning. :)
  • i will be watching dale earnhart jr driving his car
he is the best driver that ever was and the best driver in the hole wide world
i record his races and like to edit them for just the parts that he is in and watch them over and over
  • i'm taking "the great river road" to Red Wing, to celebrate my girlies Mother's Day, and hook up at a groovy restaurant. Then play on some back roads on the way back. The Darlington race should be pretty comfy/cozy by then.hp 5455 windows mobile 2003 upgrade
  • 1st to break 200 in a closed circuit race.?

    May be...

  • buddy baker but he is just lucky that dale earnhart jr was not driving then
if dale earnhart jr was able to drive then he would have gone 200 a month before everybody else
  • Buddy Baker on March,24,1970

  • Yes Buddy, welcome to the Big Show. Racing is an American born and dominated sport. We may not have the history to support this claim but we have the results.
  • In 1969 a red Dodge Daytona broke this record. Who was the driver. Interestingly this was in nascar, whodda thought us rednecks would do it first.fishing nymphs
  • Will we have a "repeat" winner this Saturday night or a 1st timer as far as this season goes?

    May be...

  • My pick is Carl Edwards
  • Tony Stewart's gonna be messin' around @ Darlington
  • Wouldn't it be nice to see last weeks winner do it again this week??? :0)

Ok...well I am pulling for Tony Stewart as well...his time has come too!!
  • this is all tony i can feel it this is all STEWARTS he can do it!!!!! i hope i really want him to get a win this seaseon at least one i mean come on hes doing crazy good as owner/driver and way less crashing

GO STEWART-HASS RACING I LOVE YOU MAN!!!!!!
  • Firestorm read my mind. The Biff would have won last year if not for the engine failure, I think this weekend is a new winner and that will be Greg Biffle.
  • Denny Hamlin.
  • I've got a feeling about Newman. He does good at this track but Kyle Busch will probably pull off the win.
  • I would like to see Jeff Gordon win again!!!!

    GO 24!!!!
  • Gregg Biffle or Jeff Gordon will take the checkers
  • I think we'll see a repeat driver win. I figure either Mark Martin, Kyle Busch, or Jeff Gordon will win.
The only drive who has not won yet this year who I believe has a legitimate shot to win it is Denny Hamlin.
  • gordon pretty much owns that place..........will have to say gordon
  • I don't want Kyle to win, I know he's good, and he might win every week, but it's boring if the same person win each time. I pray there will be new winner this week, possibly Stewart?
  • 1st Timer
    Tony Stewart
  • Jeff Burton this week Sir.
  • I have this gut feeling that Greg Biffle will win. He has two wins at Darlington and was running great last year when his engine blew. So to answer the question, I think we will see a new winner for the '09 season on Saturday.
  • I am hoping Jr gets a win but also doing good this season is #00 for MWR .
Another driver surprising me is the #2 he has been doing good as has Stewart #14 maybe he can get his first win.
  • Maybe. Kyle Bush is always winning recently
  • nope i hope not
  • Who or who???????????
  • I would like to see Jeff Gordon win but I also would like to see Junior get a win there.

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
  • no way litle e is going to win
he is the best driver in the hole wide world aand he will win
  • First Time

    Scott Speed
  • If I was a betting man, I'd say Kyle Busch can definitely win anywhere, anytime. Personally, I tend to puke everytime Kyle wins, so I'll hope for a first timer.

    Possibly, Biffle.
  • I'd say that Kasey should be a contender to win if his car is as good as the others.custom interior car paint

    Is nascar really a sport?

    May be...

  • Yes....it is a sport. And to those who think it isn't...keep saying it, we can't hear you over the roar of the engines!
  • Certainly, as is table tennis and synchronized swimming.
  • People also used to say the world was flat. It is a sport. If you think not, look up 'ignorance' in the dictionary.
  • Of course, it is. Most of these guys train very hard to be able to withstand the conditions inside the car. Not only are you contending with high temperatures, but also keeping control of the car requires a great deal of strength. And if it's handling poorly, that becomes even more of a struggle. No, these guys are not running on foot. However, look at most other sports. There are time outs and breaks. Even under caution, the driver does not really have a break. It isn't as if he can jump out and stretch or anything. No one questions whether football is a sport, but look at the condition of so many of those guys. They are so fat (I know there's also muscle there) that they can only make one or two consecutive plays. A Nascar race is something like a marathon in that you have to be in good enough shape to go the whole distance.
  • Yes it takes a lot of skill and it is filled with action and contact. It is a sport for sure. Not all sports have to have balls.
  • no.. i cant understand peoples fascination with it either.. how enjoyable is it to watch cars go around in circles for hours?? or as a driver, driving in a circle for 200+ laps.. zzzzzzz... change the track or go drag racing.. more challenge there..
  • It's a sport-plus death is a real possibility each race for the drivers and fans. You don't think driving for 3 1/2 hours at 190 mph bumper to bumper restrained in a seat so you can't move in a car that's 120-140 degrees F takes an athlete?
  • yes. If someone did not say deserves to get beat up by redneck.
  • Same answer to a very old question. Yes, NASCAR is a sport and there are over 75 million fans in the US alone that will tell you the same thing.
  • Yes my friend, NASCAR is a sport. These drives have a skill. The stock car's they drive handle nothing like a normal car that you and I drive on the highway. They also drive these things at 195mph. Things look diffrenet at the speed you know. Then there is the heat. The 800hp engine gives off massive heat. At times, drivers sit in 120 degree race cars for three hours. That is why drives work out in greenhouses or heated gym's so they can adjust to the extreame heat. Last, the car weigh's in at 3400 pounds...meaning these guy's have to control a 3400 pound car at 195 mph in a 120 degree enviorment for up to four hours...plus still be able to focus on passing cars and coming up with pit stratagey. There is a test you can do. Take an object and hold it out in front of you for as long as you can. If you can hold it there for about three hours without getting tired then congradulations! Your a race car driver! This simulates holding the steering wheel. Great question, hope this answer is what you were looking for. Enjoy the races!
  • If it isn't something that is physically exerting and shows what your body can do, I don't consider it a sport.
It's just a waste of gas and clean air.
  • of course it is it is a racing sport
  • Yes. Everyone competes on the same track at the same time unlike hunting where the animal does not have a gun.
  • if it isnt I would like to see a regualr Joe go and run his car in to a 30 degree turn at 190 mph with bald tires and see if he can get through the corner without spinning out or hitting the wall.
  • Not only is NASCAR a sport, but NASCAR is THE sport!!!!

    GO 24!!!!
  • hell no it isn't! it is just people driving in circles. but marching band is more of a sport.

    lilaudrey:
i play baseball and i throw a 95 mile an hour fast ball that will break your bat and i have a 90 mile an hour curveball/screwball that will break your nose.

yes i'm in 8th grade but i still play as if i was a senior in the band. and i still have friends on the football team, baseball and track.
  • Yes it is. You found it under the sports section of yahoo answers genius.
  • some people say yes, some say no....what do you say?
  • Some people say NASCAR isn’t a real sport, and yet this is a place where real men strap into 800 horsepower beasts for 4 hours in 110 degree temperatures at 200 miles an hour. Where families, rivalries, patriotism, and history all come together in a bumper-to-bumper, shoulder-to-shoulder, coast-to-coast, blaze of glory. What’s more real than that?
  • If you've ever gone to a NASCAR race live, you'd understand how much of a sport it is, motorsports that is. Most of these drivers are in better shape than you are, I'd bet. You want to talk about physical exertion, these guys sweat off 5 to 10 lbs during a race, hold a steering wheel directly in front of them for four hours, manhandle a 3400 lb vehicle through 3 g's in a corner using nothing but their arms at 170+ mph. Now tell me how that's not physically draining even if you are in the best of shape?
  • of course it is, it shouldnt matter what other people think aboot it and you should go with whatever you feel it is.

ps. you were practicing your tuba when i answered this
  • Anything that requires a person to sit in a 200 degree oven for 4 or 5 hours while straining their mind and body to manipulate a 3200 pound car around a track at 200 miles an hour all the while knowing if this car breaks or someone including myself make a mistake I may be killed or kill someone else " IS A SPORT ". A lot of people who comment that it is not a sport have most likely never been in a car even at 100 miles and hour through a corner. Most of you would crap your pants. Also as far as wasting gas and polluting the air ? LOL these cars are so well tuned and maintained that they produce less emmisions then almost all cars on the road. Your daddy's lawn mower pollutes 10 times more then any Nascar Stock Car.
  • To me there are sports, and there are athletic activities.

MY definition of sport - it must have an unbiased way of determining a winner (score points, fastest time, cross the line first, etc.)

It must have some way of head to head competition, and/or a defense.

So, anything that the outcome is solely determined by a judge is just an athletic activity (gymnastics, olympic diving, ice skating, etc.). It takes very talented, skilled, trained individuals to perform it, but not a sport in my book.

Anything lacking a true defense (golf) is just an athletic activity, not a sport.

NASCAR takes a lot of skill, strength, endurance, ability to think and react quickly, and has defensive maneuvers - so yes, in my book, NASCAR is a sport.
  • Of Course it is a Sport...
hmm Looks like we got Our Great 8th Grade Band Member back being his usual self.

  • Asking a stupid question like that deserves a stupid answer. You must be for the back hills of Kentucky with your grade 3 education.
  • I could ask you the same question about football, soccer, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis, pool, etc.
  • NASCAR is a family-owned and operated business that sanctions and governs multiple auto racing "sports" events
  • people who say no obviously do not watch or obviously are too stupid to understand its way more than riding around in a circle all day. I say go to one of the nascar driving schools, you would probably sh** on yourself.data received in unknown format 0x1505
  • Is Trevor Boys scheduled to race at Darlington this weekend?

    May be...

  • I didn't know he was still racing, but it's always nice to hear those old names from the 80s :^)
  • Who cares?
  • Not anymore.
  • If you look again at that entry list you will see an asterisk by TBA.....and that means withdrew from the event. Scroll down and you will see it.

Seems they withdrew. They are not on the NASCAR.COM entry list either.

Also this says his car is self owned....and since the guy is in his 50's Theresa must be his wife. (or his daughter???)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Boys

I can't find anything on Theresa.
  • I ask because the entry list shows a Theresa Boys as the car owner, but the driver is "to be announced".

Also, I'd like to know what the relationship is between Theresa and Trevor. Wife? Mom? Sister?

Are there gay drivers in F1, according to you?

    May be...

  • No gay drivers in F1? oh sh*t now we're all homophobes as well as racists!
    PS
Does anyone know where I can find a black, female, jewish, lesbian, driver? I've just started a recruitment company and a little guy called Bernie called me with some very specific requests!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  • All of the F1 drivers are gay listen to them talk
  • According to me? haha. No.
  • Sorry, you are mistaken, it is NASCAR with the gay drivers

EDIT: LOL, of course Rosbif knows
  • There has only ever been one openly gay F1 driver so far, Mike Beuttler. He took part in 28 races in the early 1970s, and died in San Francisco in 1988, aged 48.

None of the current F1 drivers is openly known to be homosexual.ring samsung t809 tone
  • Is the "Busch" name big in motorsports (NASCAR)?

    May be...

  • The Buschs are very good drivers but as to popular I don't know about that... Both Kurt in years gone by & to a lesser extent Kyle now tend to rub many fans the wrong way.I'm not a Kyle Busch fan but he is certainly a great driver.
  • No more than BUSCH Beer.
  • Hopefully they won't be as big when it's all said and done this year. I think my Johnson is bigger then your 2 Busch's :)
  • I haven't really paid that much attention to the Busch Bros. (I like Kurt but not Kyle so much). I think their name is as big as anyone else. It's just that way.... The more you win, the more you are noticed. The longer you race, the more familiar you become to everyone.

Hope you are having a great week!!!!!
  • ....as popular as any other driver that can handle a car and win.
Prior to Jeff Gordon there was Cecil Gordon, but not many recognised the name .Jeff came on the scene and the Gordon name became a household name.
The Busch name is doing the same.
  • Kyle Busch is a very popular driver, and with his brother Kurt Busch in 2nd place in the points standings, do you notice how popular the Busch name has become in motorsports? NASCAR in particular.
  • it's getting buschy out there.
  • yes and you have the most amazing flair for the obvious.
  • Yes, the name is getting lots of high profile exposure. Sometimes the exposure is more negative than positive (at least in Kyle's case); but still, "Busch" is getting used a lot during Nascar related discussions.

    Great drivers!
  • It can't help but to be big. It's all the announcers say during a race ... especially Brad Dougherty. When Brad Dougherty says Kyle Busch it's like Kyle's name is a 15 letter word.
    "Kyyyyyyyyyyyyyyle Busch"
  • I know I haven't talked to anyone lately about NASCAR without the Busch name coming up at least once. Along with Gordon, Johnson, Martin,Stewart, Edwards, and of course the infamous Dale Jr. And others I did not think to mention, but yes Busch is getting to be a bigger name in NASCAR as of late.

    GO 24!!!!
  • lol tom p but i think its nasty beer im a bud ice man myself
but with every win it will become the andretti of nascar
  • I would say they are starting to beat the "Busches" pretty hard!!
  • i saw the "Busch" name used on a few t-shirts i saw last year. it was used more towards Kyle though. (it was after the whole Kyle Busch and Dale Jr.'s fan feud last year) the t-shirt read, "I hate Busch so much, i shaved it." the other read, "i hate Busch so much, she let me shave hers."

i don't know about you, but that made me laugh.
  • only the sponcer the real big name is Jeff Gordon
  • Busch names were made the hard way..by winning races and dominating nascar..but in this so called sport, and question that word..some drag around the track on their daddies coat tail..even one individual sitting on the thorny throne is sure disgracing a fine family old name because of reason only known to him..answer to your question..."The Busch brothers earned it"..this big headed person would be better off staying out of the way of the real drivers...not your fault Mother Theresa.
  • Like the rebellious, boo'd at version of the Labonte's.
  • Why yes there getting to big of a name
  • yes,the older kurt has been a sprint cup champion in the past and "little shrub brush" is well on his way to becoming a champion .
i just hope kurt can pull this year out and win a second championship.poster templates powerpoint
  • Which of these drivers will win first this year?

    May be...

  • Kasey Kahne!!!

Tony Stewart will win the race AFTER Kasey!!!
  • I say Tony Stewart or Jeff Burton. Tony's been getting closer and closer to winning, and it's only a matter of when, not if. Jeff is very consistent, and seems to be getting better as the season progresses.
  • Well if I must choose out of them I would say Tony Stewart, however, I am still pulling for Jamie to get his first win of the season soon :)
  • Newman's going to win this weekend
  • i hope its tony or ryan
  • I have to say I think Newman will win first this year. Don't worry Smoke fans, Tony will be in victory lane as Ryan's owner & I think be just as happy as if he had won!
  • Tony Stewart will .
  • After the way they have been performing I will say Tony Stewart or Ryan Newman!!!!

    GO 24!!!!
  • Tony Stewart
  • Jeff Burton
  • Tony Stewart will get the first win.

    I hope.....
  • Tony Stewart
  • Tony Stewart IMO, then David Reutimann.
  • The 1st. what? to disgrace an fine ole' popular name..Daddies coat tail is getting a little worn a ragged .. has to be Dale Jr.
  • Stewart
  • Dale Jr
    David Ragan
    Kasey Kahne
    Tony Stewart
    Jeff Burton
    Kevin Harvick
    Ryan Newman
    David "The Franchise" Reutimann
    Brian Vickers
  • .....Tony Stewart....
  • David "The Franchise" Reutimann
  • I have to go with smoke on this one.he is ready for a win.
  • Tony Stewart is going for a win, because he can afford the gamble.
if Tony had a very bad race he still has enough points to recover, and he knows he can run up front.
Up front so far that it's making him extremely happy this year,
So happy in fact, he's going to play extra hard at Darlington and give some people a hard time. And when he's alone in his car on the track,
he's gonna get all "itchy-n-scratchy" and "Tony's gonna take down Darlington!"
  • Stewart will be taken by most, so i will say Newmie!
  • I look for Jeff Burton to make a big splash and maybe this week. Just a hunch.
  • I'm pulling for Kevin, but I think Tony will be the first to get a win, which will be cool as well. SHR has really surprised me this year. I think Newman has a good shot as well.

I'll just be happy if Harvick gets a win, any points win, this year period. Actually, I'd just like to see a top 10 finish again.
  • you have to go with with stewart or newman both drivers a havin great runs at this point of season
  • Lenny you know me, its gonna be Dale Jr, then Smoke and I surely hope Reutimann does the franchise proud. I think a lot of the guys in your list can win a race this yr. But Dale Jr is gonna win first, he just has to.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I have to go with Tony Stewart. He has like pulled 3 or 4 seconds this year in cup. I think he will get his win soon, maybe even at Darlington.
  • My moneys on Tony Stewart, but my heart's with David Ragan.
  • 1. Dale Junior
    2. Tony Stewart

    Possibly Kasey Kahnecarolina horse property

  • When Jeff Gordon retires who do you think will take over driving the Dupont 24?

    May be...

  • They will not retire the number, NASCAR has already made that very clear. If Petty and Earnhardt didn't get their numbers retired then neither will JG. I am not saying they should or should not but that is just fact. As far as a replacement, I look for Jeff to get one more Champ. and get out if that happens in the next couple of years. I look for BK to get the #5 when Mark calls it quits, that would leave the 24 for Landon unless Jeff hangs around too long for LC to wait on a ride. If that happens I am betting Rick will go out and get the best free agent driver available weather that is a development or veteran. I am not his biggest fan but I think he has done enough that he should be able to leave whenever HE decides so who knows how long that will be.
  • Good question but I think is to early to tell. Who knows when he is going to retire and what new drivers will come in to the picture. Im sure hendrick will pick the right driver.
  • the k man brad keselowski, kasey kahne, landon cassil or maybe even kyle busch.
  • The old man & I were just talking about that over the weekend. With Jeff's back problems, he may be retiring sooner than later. I agree with either Brad or Landon. Both of them would be really good.
  • My pick to drive the #24 when Jeff retires is Hendrick development driver and 2008 Nationwide Rookie of the Year Landon Cassill. I think he will return to the Nationwide series in 2010 and stay there for a few years. Jeff should be in his 40's by then. If he decides to call it quits in about five years, I think Landon will move up to Cup as a rookie in the #24.

Brad Keselowski is another choice, but I think he's ready for the Cup series now. I expect Brad to have a full-time Cup ride within two years. I don't think Jeff will retire anytime soon.
  • You know, I have not given it much thought but Brad Keselowski might be a good choice.
  • The third Busch brother!
  • I kind of hope the number will be retired. I can't imagine anyone else driving it.
  • I am not wishing this any time soon, but we all know it is coming.
I would like to see Brad Keselowski or maybe even Kasey Kahne.
  • Maybe Hendrick retires no. 24 instead of finding another driver.
  • Here's what i'm thinking. I'm thinking Martin is not going to retire after this year, he'll do another full season (not part time) but full season in 2010 (that is unless he wins the championship this year)
Brad wants a full time ride, and there's no room at Hendricks, so..... I think Keslowski might end up at Stewart-Haas, they have a partnership with Hendricks. A possible third car with godaddy.com sponsoring? I also think that Truex might go over to Stewart Haas with Bass Pro Shops (As Bass Pro Shops is a major sponsor of Tony Stewart Racing on the USAC and WOO level)
Though it very well could be Bass Pro Shops with Kesolowski @ SHR, and Truex off to Gibbs 4th team? (I think it's too early for Davis to take Gibbs 4th car that they want to add for next year)

I'd really like to see Kasey Kahne take the 4th Gibbs car. Kahne is very talented, but stuck in a bad organization. Though he most likely wont go to Gibbs, due to currently being sponsored by Bud. This is why Gibbs passed on Dale Earnhardt Jr when he went on the market.

If Landon Cassil is still around with Hendrick, I think he'll get the 5 if Keslowski is locked down with a team.

Someone mentioned McMurray, he'll be driving for RYR next year, he'll take his whole team and sponsor with him.

As for Gordon. It's too early to tell. He said after he retires, he wants to work with Hendrick and eventually possibly be Hendrick's successor. (Gordon already owns the 48 car) There's no way we can speculate on who will drive the 24 next, who ever does drive the 24 next, is most likely currently 10-15 years old.
  • McMurray would be a good fit for that rainbow suit.
  • I hope jeff retires when he is like 50. I dont want anyone taking over his car. They should retire the number 24. But if i had to chose i hope it would be truex jr.
  • Chuck Norris?

I'd love to see Ricky Hendrick behind the wheel.(R.I.P)
Rick Hendrick will find a suitable driver.
  • i think keselowski is supposed to replace martin kasey kane might be under contract but i do agree if he had good equipment he be in the chase year after year but hendrick will gage jeff's retirement or even ask so they can prepair for the future but no one come to mind but i suppose they have an development driver(s)
  • Think about it....
    1) Jeff may not retire for another 5-15 years
    so...
    2) a driver for the new #24 would have to be very young
which leaves us a list of possible drivers
    -Landon Cassil
    -Brad Keselowski
-A switch between any of the Hendrick Motorsports drivers
-Many drivers in the Camping World East or West series
    and...
-Kasey will probably pretty old by the time Jeff retires
-Kasey also has been on a really bad streak
    also...
-They might even retire the number 24!!!!!
  • I really think that it will be Brad Keselowski or possibly Landon Cassil.

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !.
  • I would choose Brad Keselowski he is a determined, competitive driver and would fit just fine in the Dupont 24.
  • ummm ok....first of all...Kasey Kahne belongs in a Dodge, not a Chevy. And he doesn't need to lower himself to driving for Hendrick Motorsports.
second of all, I hate hate hate hate hate Jeff Gordon. So I have no clue why I am answering this question...butttt my answer is that they should retire his number. He's won a lot of races and has won championships....so I think they should do away with that hideous number and gay rainbow car and save some fella the embarrassment of driving it.....
  • Kasey will never drive the 24. Brad K maybe, but I don't see Gordon retiring any time soon, unfortunately.new beetle forums

Are all the Nascar events trying to make the infield a family friendly place too?
  • Miss the bobbie show. As the girls got drunker, the show got better. I still have my pictures from years gone by but now the infield is just boring.
  • It's completely changed. Talladega was incredible. They still have an awesome infield vibe at horse races, like The Preakness.

Where can I find some cool Nascar pictures/images of races?

  • sports.yahoo.com/NASCAR

And the Yahoo! NASCAR website has a photo gallery of the latest race pictures.
  • Getty Images has a bunch of photo's & images of Nascar races. Here is the link:

    http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search...
  • This place is pretty good. It updates every week with the previous race and events of the weekend.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/gallery
  • I've always found excellent photos by searching the internet but you might have to try quite a feq before you find the right one.

For example, I snow ski and scuba dive a lot and I'm always looking for excellent photos. I've just use my search engines on yahoo. For some reason, I always find the best photos using yahoo to search with.

Yahoo always gives me a lot of sights to look at and I usually have to go through a few until I find the one I like but just have some patience when your searching and you'll find the right one.

Also, if I were you, I'd learn how to save the photos that you really like. I don't how your computer operates but you can save photos to CD discs for sure and they're very cheap to buy and each disc hold a lot of photos. You can also save them to your computer if you know how to do that.

If you need help saving them; then e-mail me again and I'll give some details on how I saved my photos to my laptop.

  • What should NASCAR do to fans who spit on driver?

    May be...

  • I don't suppose there is really much that can be done. However, if the cameras can clearly identify the culprits, records should show who bought the tickets. If this person tries to purchase tickets in the future, they should have an extra fee added to their price. If it happens again, ban them. They are the fans who bring shame to the sport!
  • that just shows a total lack of class, regardless on if you like or dislike the driver he's just doing his job. I think fans that do that to ANY driver showed be escorted out the gate & banned from any future racing event, we all have our favorite driver and the one we don't particularly care for but they're out their providing us with entertainment as well as risking their lives. Think if it that was your family member how would you like it if they got spat on. Those aren't real race fans & should be made to pay by being banned.
  • I like Kyle also and he does deserve respect for his skills. As far as fans go you can rest assured that if any person has that kind of mentality to spit on someone at the track they are also suffering in their lives at home. The way you do anything is the way you do everything. Know that if these folks have that kind of hate in them they carry it around with them everywhere they go. You can only laugh at their small minds because their is nothing else you can really do about it. I don't even know if their is a law against it. I bet someone was there to put them in their place. Kyle seamed to have taken it like a man. I did see him point into the crowd though. Way to go Kyle!

    Three more wins
    Four more DNFs
My bet is that Kyle will make the chase with 4 wins and 4 DNFs
That was a week ago and now I have one win going. With so many races left in the season I could be right.

I had to give ICE a thumbs up for the law quote.
  • NASCAR is for hicks.
  • Spitting on people falls under the crime of "battery" and they should be locked up. (battery)

    http://www.expertlaw.com/library/persona...
  • I went through a period last year (not spitting, but throwing pennnies) showing my displeasure watching on TV.

Not like they can get an acurate hit from their postion.
  • After Kyles win, I noticed when he approached the flag stand for the checkered flag, (73 inch HD TV) ..several fans spit at him through the fence? What do you think NASCAR should do to such classless ignorant fans? Weather you personally hate the man fo rhis personality, he still a dang good driver, winning, ... and no person deserves to be spit on.
  • ahhhhh...
*the group of NASCAR fans that make us all look like ignorant hillbillies and having a total lack of etiquette.
*the ones of jr. nation who make the whole group look like a fan base who lives thru their driver and are delusional (I know, not all of them are like that),
*the ones who can make no rational deductions while wearing their rose colored glasses (scams by nascar?! throwing races?! of course nascar is making all of the teams let one driver win...)
GEEZ, thanks people for making us all look like complete idiots.
but like someone else said, what can they really do to the "fans" the race is over so they get kicked out what are they going to miss out on? I think it should be treated just like if someone had thrown something onto the track like a beer can or sandwich or "debris"... thrown out, fines, banning, etc.
  • What do you offer to do with fans that throw beer cans at Nascar drivers?
    http://www.blitzcorner.com/NASCAR/jeff-g...
  • NASCAR should do nothing... Other fans should beat them!
  • I saw that too and that is just ignorant. I agree with Ice ,book em !

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
  • ban them from any race for life
  • They should carry pee in a bottle and throw it at them.lol
  • death sentence.
  • Depending on the State, you could charge them with an assault. There are different Laws in each State. Then if you catch them arrest them and charge them immediately. I mean they do that to people who throw trash/bottles on the track.

The thing I'd like to see is the second fence moved back about 20 feet to so. That would make it impossible for most to spit and be able to get it to the driver.
  • I say ignore it unless they climb on the fence and all
  • No class, probably failures in their own lives and live vicariously through their driver. It is classified as battery and they should be banned from the track, but nothing will be done. I guess living the lives they lead is punishment enough.
  • NASCAR has very tight security.. If the offenders were seen on TV, you can bet they were stopped, and detained.. They will never be sold a ticket to a race again in there name, and any criminal charges would be referred to the local authorities..
Over the years NASCAR has had to deal with some serious fan violence.. They have put in place procedures to keep this to a minimum..
  • I don't know if this is possible, but ban them from at least one future race.

That's gross. And with all the diseases floating around these days, who the heck knows what you could get from somebody's spit? If they can get close enough to hit their target, that is.
  • It is unfortunate there are fans like that some folks just plain lack class. In every sporting event it's the same there are folks you wish got lost on the way. Some folks have no courtesy for others, they lack morals and haven't a clue about manners.

I think if these folks get caught they should be banned from the track but catching them is a pretty big job. Your right nobody deserves to be spit on or have things thrown at them and it's a crying shame it happens.

Good thing is that the good folks outweigh the problem punks by about a million to one. NASCAR fans really are the greatest folks on earth at least in my honest opinion they are. In all my years of going to races and being in massive crowds of fans I have never once had a bad experience with them or seen any problems.
  • Not much they can do except escort them out but the race is over anyways so I don't think they really give a sh**. I was there last year and we had to surround one of our group ( a Kyle fan ) because people wanted to swing at him. Also there was a rowdy group outside Kyle's souvenir trailer. I honestly thought they were going to burn it down. It's cool to be passionate about your driver but when you start getting unruly like that it's just disgusting.
  • It's too bad that a security guard didn't immediately escort them from the stands and ban them for life from the race, or any NASCAR races if that could possibly be done. Conduct like that is uncalled for, and a disgrace to real NASCAR fans.1005 1st st ne

  • Nascar Fans, What Did You Think About Jeff Burton's 3rd Place Finish Last Night?

    May be...

  • He had a very fast car and if Dale Jr hadn't have spun him out and damaged his car he might have won the the race. Im sure though it was Jeff's fault by Jr's fans. Jeff did a great job getting it back to the front by not taking out other drivers like Dale Jr did.
  • a great job
  • Interesting stat: Jeff Burton now has 8 straight top 15 finishes after starting the year with a 28th and 32nd, the longest streak of any driver right now.

He's incredibly consistent and I liked to see him running up front. I was hoping he would chase down Kyle Busch for the win. Burton has been my second favorite driver for a while. He should still get a win or two somewhere else this year.
  • I thought it was really impressive! He didn't deserve it, but he came back from a long way in a short time!
  • I rode with Jeff during the entire race thanks to my Direct tv Hotpass!!
he had problems early on & the incident with Jr pissed him off (Jr apologized to JB over the radio)but he ran a great race & kept digging to finish 3rd. They couldn't get in & out of the pits the way they wanted to because Jeff Gordon's pit crew kept getting in his way or JG was in his pit to far back & blocking Jeff so he had to back up to go around them.
He was REALLY pissed at the # 44 at one point for causing so many cautions and said "if NASCAR doesn't do something about him, I will" Luckily his crew chief & spotter (rocky ryan) calmed him down, he was ready to take out A.J.
I am happy to see him doing so good & hope his luck continues. i would love to see him win at Darlington next week!!
  • At least you stated that it was a minor incident. I'm already sick of the comments making it seem like it was the worst wreck of the decade. But as for your question, I was really happy he bounced back. I was more excited watching him and Stewart racing for 2nd than I was the winner.
  • Goes to show you that Jeff and his team has it together, Dale Jr did not mean to do that, who in Nascar would want to wreck Jeff Burton, the nicest guy in Nascar, I did not watch the race until this morning I DVR'd it,( I was litle overwhelmed with the passing of one of my kitties) and I was thinking about you, I knew you would be happy with that finish, its awesome he had a team that could get that car back and in contention, Great Job RCR #31 team.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Beast.

    Nothing more to say.
  • I know he started 5th but he did have trouble with his car and did get into a minor incident with Jr and still finished up front!
  • Burton seems to be a nice guy and will have good finishes every so often but I doubt he will ever dominate like winning 3-4 races in a season or sniff a chase title.
  • I think it was awesome. I'm a big fan of the older, more experienced drivers, like Jeff Burton, mostly because they can still get it done. Mark Martin is my favorite, but I was pulling for Burton to chase down Busch last night.
  • He did a great job< I was very happy for him getting the finished that he did.
  • I was very impressed with his finish!
  • Great come back, he even beat the car that spun him out, and drove through the incident, by 24 places.
  • Very Good Run For Him.. He Deserved It
  • It was good.
  • Maybe Jeff Burton should start filling his waterbottle with NOS energy drinks (better yet Rockstar) It seemed like he had to get pissed off before he realized he was driving in heavy competition. I liked seeing him move his machine up to the top five.
Note: I really liked the paint scheme on Jeff Burtons car. I thought he had the coolest looking car on the track.
  • I loved Jeff Burton's 3rd place finish.
I love it when he wins, just so they can do a close up on Kim.
She's like a giddy school girl cheerleader.
    It makes me smile.
  • Surprising, seeing how when Dale Jr. wrecked him I thought it had turned to junk.
  • He did a great job bringing it back to the front after his little incident. I wasn't to thrilled about the purple paint scheme though :)
  • i hope he has more llike that... and hopefull all season long
  • He earned that finish- it wasn't an easy 3rd place finish by any means.

I think that if a caution had come out, he would have finished 2nd or 1st, depending on whether he would have passed Stewart. Kyle had little hope of holding them off if a caution came out.canceled changed fare flight reservation
  • What was your favorite part of the Nascar race last night?

    May be...

  • Kyle Busch winning on his birthday
  • When Casey crossed the finish line in 9th. I would like that to keep the naysayers quiet for a while, but I know it won't.
  • When positions 6th through 11th were all withing 5 car lengths! The cars at the back of it had fresher tires, and the cars at the front were just trying to stay where they were! There weren't even any lapped cars in that crazy pack!
  • jj crash
  • Well the whole race kept me on the edge of my chair but I guess finally when it was over and Kyle won on his Birthday. His burnout. and the fans cheering for him outweighed the boos. Man that guy can drive and whip the fans in a frenzy one way or another.
  • That the rain didn't interrupt the race! And Tony Stewart's finish. Least favorite part was the winner (a sentiment shared by most of the fans I could hear at the track). Although I don't like Kyle, its cool for any driver to win on their birthday, though.
  • well Storm i can tell u what was my least favorite.............the winner
  • Well I guess it would be Stewart and Newman finishing 2 @4.
    Wtg to you 2.
  • Jamie coming back from an early spin to coming in 7th place, things are going up and up for him :)
  • the whole race was pretty good but my favorite part was probably Kasey Kahne's little temper tantrum they showed on his in car camera
  • the crash!!! :) but only if no one gets hurt ...
on the serious side it was prett! koo to see busch get the pass on gorden to win (on His Bday)
  • Kyle Busch's victory burnout was pretty cool.

    GO 24!!!!
  • That the rain moved out and held off allowing the full race to run without interruption.
  • Brian Vickers Get's the Lucky Dog and Finishes 15th
  • Side by side racing and seven different race leaders.
  • Stewart/Haas Racing and their continued strong performances, is getting to be quite exciting.
  • The part where the #88 car did not even come close to winning.
  • When Kyle bowed to the crowd, know Jr. nation loves that..so much they even were throwing beer containers to him..so kinda shows their love for him..great show Kyle, continue please..makes Nascar worth watching ..dr schubert

Who is Jocko Flocko and in what sport?

    May be...

  • joe flacco maybe

    football
  • Jocko Flocko was a passenger in NASCAR driver Tim Flock's (I think it was Tim, might have been Fonty) car during some races, I think he actually was in the car when it won a race! But he freaked out during a race causing Tim to pit and have him removed, the practise ended after that.
  • I dunno... a monkeyvgtalk forums
  • Did anyone else catch what DW said...?

    May be...

  • People of higher class have cheese wine and crackers.
Maybe Smoked Gouda or Cave Aged Gruyere.
D.W. probably has a lot more class than you might expect.
  • This is a very lame question. I can't believe I just wasted this much time on it.
  • after the race last night? " ...cut the cheese and pour the wine!". Sounds like the way he celebrates is a little outside of the box, huh? What a redneck!
  • no i did not
  • I caught that too and had quite a snicker at it. Unpopular as this opinion may be....I agree with your statement....DW is a moron! I will be SO glad when the races aren't on Fox anymore!
  • I believe it was just his way of "officially" handing out kudos. I got quite a chuckle from it myself. No harm, no foul.
  • then you must be the redneck if you don't know that cheese and wine go together......are you embarrassed?
  • I'm sure he just forgot what "cutting the cheese" meant. and don't you call him a redneck! He's 10x cooler than you'll ever be.
  • I thought it was the best line of the telecast. It had me laughing my head off. After all, it's entertainment right?
  • Do you mean Darrel Waltrip? People like this intelligent man and his funny comments and are unencumbered by a narrow pseudo intellectual mindset like yours...
  • He means to celebrate by drinking and in ancient Rome they cut cheese to the winner.Cheese was a delicacy then. After the Chariot races they gave the winner cheese and wine.
So now we say cut the cheese and pour the wine.
It is not referring to farting if you think that

  • Is there a way NASCAR could contribute to the American automotive industry?

    May be...

  • NASCAR wouldn't be around if it wasn't for the American auto industry. NASCAR has also set so many rules and made so many regulations, that they've squeezed themselves into a tiny little box. It's definitely not like it used to be. Of course over a period of time, we change. But now that our auto industries are suffering, could you think of any way that NASCAR could change, that would actually "give back" to the American automotive industry, or promote their re-growth into our faltered economy.
  • The auto industry is in trouble because of there policies, unions and building inferior and unwanted cars. NASCAR doesn't need to help them. They need to totally change how they do business. FORD is leading them all. They haven't taken one dime of the taxpayers money and are weathering through these tough times. If they can do it then everyone else should follow there lead and business practices.
  • Yes drop the COT and go back to stock bodies. NA$CAR history id dep in tradition of using stock cars that made for good debates and arguments about what auto is fastest/best. Why would a car that is a chevy but looks exactly like ford,,dodge, or toyota spur interest in someone to buy it.
  • why they would just keep giving millions to there Ceos and cry broke again
  • NASCAR could do more to promote the brands. The cars have been custom built race cars for decades but they had differences between models that were still easy to see. The COT is truly identical no matter what the stickers say. They could find a way to make them more distinctive.
  • This question is pretty much a kick in the face. Chrysler filed for bankruptcy right after their was billions of dollars given to them in bailout money. Basically what that means is that they didn't have the money to pay their retired workers and such so we the people get to use our hard earned money and tax paying dollars to pay these people what Chrysler couldn't. Think about it. I don't think they need sh*t if you ask me, from NASCAR or anybody. Sorry but Nascar will survive without them.th55 gps
  • Don't you love Kyle Busch making Dale Jr look like the amateur he is?

    May be...

  • Why just Dale Jr ? Kyle beat a lot of drivers over the course of the weekend. You must have a pretty pathetic life....TROLL
  • i think mr. hendricks is the one kicking his own tail. if you want to win races and trophies then kyle is the man. if you want a guy that gets the fans vote for the most popular driver, has great t-shirt sales and produces moral victories when he finds his pit board sign...go with jr.

  • Nobody makes Jr anything but Jr. Like him, or not Busch is statiistically one of the best race drivers ever. 15 races at 24 Jr has 18 at 36
  • YES! I think Rick Hendrick truely regrets letting Kyle go for a wannabe
race car driver named Dale Jr.!
  • Mr. Obama right now Kyle Busch is making them all look like amateur's
  • Dale Jr should stick to what he does best - drink beer. Agree?
  • When he drove into Jeff Burton and wreck him.,he did apologize..to him and his fans all is OK now...
  • Dale doesn't need Kyle Busch to make him look bad. He does a pretty good job of that all by himself. At least he didn't drive past his pit box again.
  • No. I like Kyle Busch showing us he is a fierce competitior on the track. If I though the way you implicate the comparison, I would just be a creepy little punk who actually thinks the way you portray. And I hope people aren't exploiting themselves by agreeing with this statement.
  • Most definitely, each victory Kyle has is just another slap in the face to Rick Hendrick lol
  • I am just gonna answer the question instead of trash talking.

No I don't love seeing Kyle Busch making Dale Jr look the amateur he is NOT.
  • I don't think that Dale Jr is an amateur, he is just nowhere as good as he was 5 years ago, or as good as the lemmings pretend he is...he is simply a victim of being over88ted.pda registry editor
