Did Watkins Glen Nationwide Race have an ending or what?

May be...

  • Kyle Busch had a faster car but Marcus Ambrose out-drove Kyle.
  • hopefully Sunday's race will be just as great
  • I was ecstatic for the always smiling Marcos Ambrose, he deserved it!!
Congrats to Marcos and the entire #47 STP team. I look for him to make it the weekend sweep tomorrow!

However, I was appalled by the actions of Robby Gordon today. To purposely wreck Joey UNDER CAUTION when Joey had done nothing to him at all is very low. I was laughing my head off when Joey mentioned "It's stupid. You can't fix stupid, stupid is forever,..." That was HILARIOUS! Three times, Robby put Joey in a bad spot and almost wrecked him twice before. What made Robby mad at Joey? No one knows. Joey could've gotten killed or injured, that was a HARD hit.
Robby Gordon's actions were completely uncalled for and unnecessary. How he didn't get penalized, I'll never know. AND NASCAR gave him the Lucky Dog?!!?!?!?! Holy crap, how did that happen?!?!?!?!?!?
I like Robby Gordon, but I'm sick of him showing his butt to everyone that breathes around him. If Robby keeps it up, someone will get hurt, or worse.

Robby Gordon does not need to vent his frustrations on the track. I'm sick of him doing so.
  • Way to go Rowdy another 2nd place.... Congrats to Marcos, I'm not a Toyota Fan but you have to just love this guy...I was also happy Brad came out with a 9th place, he needs road course practice big time.. But yes it was a great race, but then I love road courses..

    Go Dale Jr
  • So what's the verdict? That was a good race today. What do you all think? Watkins Glen is a wicked road course.

Congratulations to Marcus Ambrose for winning the race! Way to go!!!

    Stewart Haas Racing!
  • So far I would say its probably been the best race so far this year. I can't wait for Sunday. I would like to see them use the rain tires next year like they did in Montreal. Also it might be cool to race the full course including the "boot".
  • What did I miss? I watched most of the race and didn't think it was that good of a race.

The only reason so many different guys were up front was they had terrible fuel mileage. Gaugan and Wallace with 30 to go or so. Both needed to pit and the guys in 3/4 were good to the end. Those guys were really just in the way. Edwards needed Busch and Ambrose to wreck each other which almost happened when Ambrose went into the grass at the bus stop? Give Busch some credit for not holding his line and wrecking one or both of them.

I don't think I am going out on a limb to say Logano must have done something to R.Gordon. Gordon had tried to take him out about 3 times (very obvious to anyone watching) before he finally pulled it off! I'm not sure why Nascar didn't park him for that, anyone with a clue knew what happened!
  • Hell yeah!!!! Ambrose, you are the man!div html
  • If nascar cup ended today how would the driver field be set?

Why is F1 called the Fairy Queen of Motorsports?

    May be...

  • What is the story regarding the name?
  • Because it sits at the pinnacle of the motorsport Christmas tree, while NASCAR's pine needles litter the carpet.
  • lol what? you are the first person ive ever seen call it that. so you're pretty much wrong. just thought id point that out.
  • Why is nascar called the monotonous glorified banger racing of motorsports?
  • It isn't. Why is NASCAR called NASCRAP?

Like flushing a bag of Skittles down the toilet, watching the pretty colors go round and round, and eventually out with the rest of the crap.

NASCRAP is where drivers go that can't hack it in any other form of racing.
  • have you ever used "git'r dun" in a conversation?

  • Denny hamlin emotional?

    May be...

  • It was great to see Denny Hamlin win. He did a good job. And, yes, I did tear up when I saw him in the victory lane interview.
  • There's nothing wrong with a grown man crying (unless it's phony and self-serving).
Obviously after a long weekend tending to funeral matters and a long winless streak, he was just overcome with relief and the joy of winning.
I was really happy for him but I didn't cry, I smiled.
  • sorry people i know i havnt been on in like a month or so.. i dont got a computer no more..anyways...last week when denny won pocono did anyone else tear up after his victory lane interview... i felt so bad that day
  • I kinda did, I was so happy for him, he just wanted to leave and not really be interviewed, I know he was happy, but it must have been really hard for him to be there racing. You always feel good for drivers in this kind of situation.
  • Many drivers have gotten emotional when winning a race; between the win and the loss of his Grandmother, he held up very well
  • I didn't cry but I felt bad for him and his win is what he needed to lift his spirits. I didn't even care that Juan Pablo didn't win. Him getting second was good enough for me.
  • i did almost tear up a little. i felt so bad for him, with everything he just went through. but i was so happy for him to get the win.complimentary international magazine subscription
  • How does the NFL Season Affect your Nascar Season?

    May be...

  • I'm not a redneck.
  • no it dos'ent. i just record it on my dvr.
  • where do you live, alabama?
  • If the cowboys or colts are playing, i occasionally flip during nascar commercials. otherwise, it stays nascar.
once the nascar season is over though, i watch just about every nfl game that's on.
  • exactly how i feel every sunnday i love night races on saturday or rain outs
  • nope... I'm all FOOTBALL... Nascar gets old and repetitive til someone wrecks.. then it's worth watching
  • I like football but NASCAR comes FIRST. I check in on any football games that're on when the commercials are on or when a red flag is out.
  • It provides something to do for the boring parts of the races, and the MANY commercials.
By the way, Richard W, football IS dangerous and hard. You try running up and down a football field as hard as you can with 15 lbs of gear on your back for 40 min. It's pretty hard, and people can die from neck injuries. Yes, Nascar is dangerous, but football is much less safety-oriented.
  • Depends on if my Patriots are playing.
Or if hubby's Cowboys are playing.
If they are, we do the back and forth channel hopping as well.
(I'm more guilty of it than anyone)

If it's two teams neither of us really don't care about, we just watch the race and catch the highlights of the NFL on SportsCenter or something.
  • I love the Nascar/Football season! If there's a good game on I'll flip between the race and the game, especially during commercials. If a football game turns out to be a nail biter, and the race is so so, I'll hit record and watch the end of the race after the game...or vice versa. Then there are Thursday, Sunday night and Monday night games that don't conflict with Nascar. Then there is Richmond and Charlotte on Saturday night, which leaves all of Sunday for football!
  • The fans of 31 drivers will switch to NFL at start of the chase since there drivers are not driving to win anymore and as chase goes on (proven point last two /three years) ratings will drop further as super teams go to the front and outcome becomes known. Sport fans are intelligent folks ,like a good contest and the silly rules of NASCAR are beginning to insult their intelligence.
  • Dad and I like Nascar better than football, so we only flip over to the game during commercials.
  • Depends are the Giants on or not? I've never sat and watched sports if my teams aren't involved, so if it's not the Giants I'm not watching(unless the wife forces me to watch the Jets), but if the Giants are on I'll flip back and forth. Now to the idiot who said no I'm not a redneck, news flash, rednecks are just as much into football as they are into racing if not more, don't believe me there's a high school near me with a Jumbtron(the only other 2 in the state are Clemson, and the University of South Carolina), and there's high school stadiums in Texas that seat over 10,000. Let's look at some of the biggest rivalries in college football Auburn-Alabama, Florida-Florida St(If your impression of Florida is that's all like Miami you'd be in for a rude shock in Gainesville or Tallahassee).
  • i got 2 tvs in my room =D
  • Theres 5 TV's in my place so we have racing and Football on, most of my Nascar group we all like the same football teams, Redskins, Panthers, Dolphins and Buc's. Yep we all are in Calif, and love east coast teams.

    Go Dale Jr
  • I only watch European football and hockey so, no, this hasn't happened to me.
  • I does not affect me at all. I don't like football so there's no problem with conflicting loyalties. When I watch NASCAR at my friend's house, they have 2 TV's going, The big screen for NASCAR and an old hurricane supply 13" TV for her husband's football (although he prefers college football).

    Florida
  • At my house we all LOVE Nascar, as well as Football, once Football Starts, my husband and my son like to flip back and forth between Nascar and Football, it drives me NUTS. I have to go in the other room to watch Nascar. I am happy to watch football after the Nascar Season is over. Is it like that for any of you?
  • well i just watch them back and forth too
  • The NFL season greatly affects my NASCAR season. I have to watch the Jaguars play on Sunday and they usually play at 1 pm. I usually flip back and forth between the game and the race. It's even tougher with college roommates that don't care about NASCAR and just want to watch football so sometimes I go somewhere else to watch.
  • i like football but when its nascar i couldnt care less about football. what gets me excited and pumped up is, is that 2 weeks after the superbowl its the DAYTONA 500!!!!
  • That's an easy question..
The NFL is a bunch of pansies..
They only compete against one team at a time, and they don't even wear fireproof draws..
It (football) couldn't be either hard, or dangerous.. Racing is both hard, and dangerous.. They make racing look easy, because they are so damn good.. Football is exactly the opposite..
No real contest.. If you prefer a game, as opposed to a real blood sport, I have no problem with that.. Just don't try to make them sound equal in some way.. They are not.. Racing is a blood sport, people die on a regular basis..
Your choice.. A very difficult sport, that is made to look easy, by the participants, or a childrens game made to look difficult by the participants.. Just please don't try to compare them.. You may like football more, and that's really fine.. Just please be respectful enough of that distinction, and don't make it sound as though you're ordering take-out.. Thank you in advance..
I recommend you stick with football.. Your hero's will last much longer..
  • definitely I switch back forth between games but I watch the game more
  • i tend to watch nascar more than football i like bothbt 308
  • What are your plans for this race weekend?

    May be...

  • I'll be watching the race at 8 A.M. HT (I'm in Maui right now) and then I'll go back to enjoying my vacation.
  • I'm helping my aunt out with a big garage sale on Saturday, then heading down south to Indianapolis with a couple of my friends on Sunday for church and then watch the race on their big screen TV. I've got the week off, and I'm going to enjoy myself before I have to head back to college.
  • I am headin north for my annual canoe trip tomorrow morning. There is a group of about 30 of us girls that get together once a year for some fun on the river. Crazy women tubing, jello-shots, super-soaker throw down's & a little BBQ. No husbands, boyfriends or kids allowed.

I will be home in time for the race Sunday. Nothing gets in the way of racing :)
  • I'm working all weekend unfortunately. I can't argue though; it's been worked out so I normally only work one weekend every 2 months.
  • I will be enjoying the race with Mrs Superdave at home relaxing. Staying in the A/C. Have a great weekend too.
  • Watching the race, grilling burgers, having a drink or 12 and avoiding Republicans. lol
  • I have to work for all the Welfare and jobless..
  • my girlie is cooking a spaghetti dinner, and she's going to watch the race with me. I'll probably drink a few "crack-n-peels" (beers) since the 9th is my birthday
  • i will be digging my face into the tv as i do every week during every practice session, the qualifying session, and of course the race, busy looking for montoya and mears, also digging my face into my computer looking at live points
  • Any NYers or others going to the Glen? I'll be home with a few friends. Nothing special, drinks, burgers, 32" Samsung.

To my contacts and anyone interested, I changed my name. The reason seems obvious, nothing better to do.

Let's all play nice and have a great weekend.
  • Since its a road course, I will have a full house again on Sunday, everyone in Calif loves road courses.. I got the propane tank today, gonna have Mahi Mahi Fajitas and Taco's, Shrimp on the grill, probably some corn on the cob, salads, one of the gals is bringing her Key Lime Pie, and we will have the usual Corona Lights, Coronas, Margaritas, Sodas, and Tea. Yep all the big screens will have the race on, we'll monitor baseball on one i'm sure. Can't wait. Our 2 Said Heads ( I told them he is in the nationwide race not sure about cup race) will be here as well they are bringing Chips and home made Salsa & guacamole. Gonna be fun.

    Go Dale Jr
  • I go to the Glen often but not this week.. My family owns 119 acres in the Adirondack Mountains with it's own lake...I will be there Saturday...all day...grilling, relaxing, swimming, fishing, and watching out for bears. The last reason why I am not there as much as I would like to be. They have ruined a picnic twice now. But going with a large group of people this time.
Sunday...church...home...got a briskett for the smoker...and watch the race. Supposed to be gorgeous Sunday!!! Whoo Hooo!!!
  • Going to the Chinese Buffet for lunch before the race, will I have time?
  • Watching on tv with hubby and son, I will make them a bunch of Nascar Food, and we will all root for our Favorite Drivers. We may BBQ outside as well.speedster 3 forceshock xbox
  • Nascar Nation , ..How many TROLLS doe's it take to make this a bad place to come into?

    May be...

  • Just takes one. I haven't been on here posting much lately because I was getting my answers reported left and right and was afraid they were going to get me banned. I've appealed every one of them and I only won one, which is crazy because I never break Y!A's rules, except sometimes my answers seem like "chatting". *rolls eyes*

Hopefully whoever was after me finally got bored.
  • I think it can only take one! The trolls should really stay where they belong, under the bridge!

    Stewart Haas Racing!
  • The trolls haven't ruined it for me yet. It's actually kind of fun to mess around with some of the trolls. I really want to keep coming here though because this is the first place I've found where I've been able to have fun talking about NASCAR with other people. I don't think there is any place better.
  • I don't think trolls make any place "bad". It's what we make of it. There are lots of different types of trolls and they need to be handled differently.

For example in F1 right now there is someone "Larsdick" who wishes the drivers would die. All these comments have pretty much been removed, as they have been reported. Nobody, in their right mind, finds these sort of comments acceptable.

Then he repeatedly asks questions about which drivers fancy each other! Well, it's not abusive, it's just stupid. But that's just my opinion. So I choose to either ignore him, or laugh at him.

Also, right now #88 To Glory has asked why the gay community is attracted to F1 and not to NASCAR. So, either we feel insulted, or we have a tongue-in-cheek banter back.

We all feel very passionate and protective about our sport, or our particular YA section. That's a given. But sometimes, we all need to lighten up a bit!

    Either:
    Ignore the Q or A
Give 'em a better answer back.

    ps. tom p - I didn't give you a TD!
  • It not the quantity of trolls, it's the quality.
Some trolls are actually half way intelligent and can offer a different objective. When the trolls are below a certain level, they just become a different kind of entertainment. It seems like a lot of the non-trolls are just a little too uptight also. So! It doesn't really matter. This is a public forum, and it is up to the person who is more connected to reality, to distinguish the idiots from the real NASCAR fans. Everyone else is just a target for humor, and I like to raise it up a notch to an adult level and really slam the scumbags. So I guess my answer is no amount of trolls could show me anything I already haven't seen from the people who wander amongst us in public. The trolls can't stop anybody from the excitement NASCAR brings to the true fans. They just recede deeper into their frustrations by thinking they accomplish something. Sometimes I even give them a thumbs up so they retain that level of dysfunction that drives them nuts, when they have to deal with life in the three dimensional world. Trolls ain't squat.
  • I prefer the trolls to Jr. Nation
  • Well, let's count..
ICE, Mexican Chica, All those guys who sell Nike ads, All those guys who ask the questions about Nascar online, and sorry Sap.
And yet HP, you, myself, Tom p, AJ W, kahnegirl, Maggie, Zachary S, King L, Blue Deuce, superdave, David G, and other sensible, fun users are on. When the number of trolls overlaps the number of sensible, fun people, I'm gone.
No fun saying?????? Im heart broken!!
    tom p ... I gotcha. TU. :)
  • Just one or two isn't bad, but they seem to all have croneys who tag along. Most of the time I can tell just by the question and I won't even read it. If we just ignore them, and they get zero answers, they'll get bored and go away. Trolls are like children...just looking for attention.
  • Not sure Hot Papa. But c'mon...ain't we havin fun in Facebook???
This place isn't like it used to be that for sure...but heck it lost it's real appeal to me long ago. I am not here like I was. The questions are lame...like the guy from F1 asking the stupid "gay cowboy in NASCAR "question pretending to be serious...c'mon...LOL really? Cowboys in NASCAR???. He was trying to be insulting and didn't do his homework.
I suppose we could just ignore it all.
Many of us have found another site that is addicting...I am there way more than here.
  • tom p is absolutely correct. and there's sometimes where there's quality trolls with to much quantity.
  • The trolls suck and they love making folks hate it here and they love to hear us talk about them. It makes them feel like they have accomplished something by making folks mad. I don't get their way of life and I don't want to. I am a pretty happy person and I have a good life, no need to make anyone angry. I enjoy Y/A because of the folks I like but also I like the Q & A's that even Facebook can't give me. Trolls suck one of them or a hundred of them but they can't beat me I have been here for years and I am not going anywhere.

Yes I do love Facebook but I love Y/A as well at least a good part of the time anyway. If it wasn't for Y/A I would have never met the fine folks I have. As always I am looking forward to meeting new folks too.
  • let them come I'm not going any where. places like this its your choice to make it bad or good.
  • Two that I know of
  • I gets voted off by trolls and JR nation it's not my fault #88 is a good also ran.
  • Depending on how bad they are, it could only take one.

I would like to say that I enjoy trolling other sections and I would like to say thank you to my contacts who have a sense of humor with me.
  • The people that report users that don't LOVE Dale Jr or kyle busch are worse than any amount of trolls.
  • I think the correct answer is three, Papa. One big fat hairy Mississippi woman-hating troll, and 2 little "I didn't do nothing wrong; I'm an innocent victim" trolls. lol
  • It takes the amount that they have right now for me !And Facebook is way better !!!!!

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
  • Sorry Papa, but it only takes ONE to ruin the FUN!

But I hope your day is going well Sir Papa!

Good Day to all of the true NASCAR NATION! ( you know who you are, and so do I )
  • Just one can leave a bad taste in your mouth. I find that there's lots more trolls answering than asking. I'm being stalked for no good reason, I just appeal and go to another section if I get really annoyed. It seems like they are multiplying all over YA, not just NASCAR.

Ignore the TU and TD's, I had 3 of each as soon as I posted this.
  • I hate trolls = ( yuck!
  • I wouldn't say bad. It's just not as fun as it used to be because of the trolls.
  • It's not the quantity, it's the quality (or lack there of).

You can report them all the time if you like, but that does no good. They just reappear as a new user and start all over again.

But for your question, one (1) does it for me. But I just don't let them bother me. I see a question that is obviously a troll, I just don't answer, or I answer very carefully. Hey, 2 points is 2 points.

If I get a violation, I just appeal. I have won like 49 of the last 50 appeals.

    Gee, 2 td's already...I wonder from whom???????
  • My answer is 2.

Facebook is alot better than this place except for when its getting hacked into like today.

1 on me 10 on you. :)impala chassis

Why is the gay community attracted to F1?

    May be...

  • No prejudice here #88, all welcome in F1, even you buddy.

BTW While your here, why do NASCAR fans support numbers rather than drivers? Is memorizing a drivers name considered a challenge?

@Eric thanks mate, glad you liked it ;-)
  • You would think they would be attracted to a more manly sport like NASCAR.
  • thanks a lot allen, street racers and Larsdok's retardedness wasn't enough you had to drag up the nascar Vs F1 wars?

why not just ask if your too old to start a racing career 3 times in a day and be done with it?

EDIT: sorry i take it all back after reading his past questions, i say take it to the young man, btw Mr 88, EDIT means to correct something after initial submission

EDIT: initial submission means the first time you did something
  • I'm assuming you are insulting F1 fans. However your question seems to imply that homosexuals are more attracted to NASCAR.

This is your cousin's fault Allen!
And probably your fault too Winwin!

    PS: I love your work!
  • Unlike some sporting fraternities, we don't bully or discriminate.

F1 welcomes people regardless of sexual preference, race, skin colour, gender...

...oh, and people with single figure IQs - so, welcome to F1, #88 To Glory!

This question has been popping up for awhile. Who wants to sit in a computer chair in front of a monitor when you can go into the living room, sit in a fat recliner and watch it on a wide screen TV ??? Duh.
You also can pay for viewing from NASCAR.com and see the race from inside fifteen drivers cars. NO lame headache commentary, NO commercials, only driver/pit communications.ipaq repair canada

Of all the Newer Drivers, Who has the Best Future in Nascar?

    May be...

  • its a toss up between Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano.

If I had to pick, I'd say Keselowski. If he can out race Kyle Busch on a short track on old tires, and also keep his wits during the sprint to the checkers at Talladega while being crowded by Carl Edwards, then he has a lot of talent.

But Joey also has done very well, and drives with a maturity well beyond his years.
  • Brad Keselowski.
  • Brad Keselowski.
  • Brad Keselowski, Marcos Ambrose, and Joey Logono. Ambrose will win a race soon the way he's running.
  • Joey Logano, Marcus Ambrose
  • By Newer, I mean new to Sprint Cup, Last years Rookies and this Years Newbies.
  • Logano for those of us that know how to spell his name.
  • I would have to say Joey Logano. He has already won a race. I think he is doing pretty well for his first year. He is already me 2nd favorite racer, other than Jeff Gordon.

    Go Jeff and Joey!!!!!!!
  • Joey Lagano and Brad Kesolowski
  • Ambrose
    Logano
    Keselowski
    Allgeir
  • I would say Brad Kesolowski and Joey Logano look like they may be the real deal.point redemption thank

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2oILB5Vc…
  • NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…

If it were Joe Gibbs' shop, I wouldn't have a problem, but not Mark's! I'm still a Roush fan, I just kept up with Mark. Honest! Go Carl!

    (*Mocks begging for life*)
  • Wow....that is how I feel most Monday's.

That is funny and I think your avatar is pretty cute to Snake :)
  • ur awful
  • What hat? I only saw a cat. No wonder Jimmie's spark plugs were off Monday. Good job cat!!
  • I knew that Jack was going to go postal one day ! I hope it wasn't the #24 shop !

  • Why is it that here in the US most motorsports circuits go counterclockwise and not clockwise?

    May be...

  • The oval tracks go counter clockwise because the first races were held at horse racing tracks and the horses always ran counterclockwise.

There are road racing circuits that run clockwise like Infinion in California.

Running stock cars on a clockwise oval would be dangerous for the drivers because the driver sits on the left side of the car and would be more vulnerable to a crash into the wall.
  • what would it be like if a US racetrack would go clockwise, would there be anything bad that would happen, or anything, really?
  • Since the northern hemisphere is closer to the north pole and water goes down the drain in a counterclockwise revolution, except for the earth inertia, their would be no catastrophic effects of driving clockwise, except for shorter tire life, engine life, and wear and tear and lower speeds, since the laws of physics bend for no onesearch seizure student

How do I get started in stock car racing?

    May be...

  • Oh look its Beth, NASCARS engineering genius, have you answered my questions yet bright spark?
  • Im 14 years old. and My moms boyfriend has a car dealership and his mechanics family race at the local track. They have 4 cars but I dont know how to ask them if i could race for them. HELP!!!
  • I would first ask them if I could go to the races with them, that is easier to ask and they would most likely say yes. Once you are there you will find everyone is very busy. Help where ever you can. Clean the car, help push it around the pits, just do anything you can.

Act as mature as you can and show respect for the cars, the crew, the drivers and the owners. Don't spend a lot of time talking about your mom or the owner of the dealership. After going a few times mention how much you would love to drive. Say you know it would take time to learn to be good but you would always take care of the car and avoid wrecks while learning.

This will be a long process but if you are really meant to drive you will stick it out and be successful.

If you have further questions ask in the auto racing section instead of the formula one section. That section is the correct one for the type of racing you are concerned with. Many in this section are out to feed their own egos rather than actually help someone.
  • Don't you have to be 16 to get a full driving license? Since you didn't mention that they are racing in a junior series, how can you expect to drive for them two years before you are legal able to drive anywhere?.

  • How many of you girls wear NASCAR shirts to show off to the boys?

    May be...

  • I haven't done anything to show off to boys in over two decades.
    I'm too old for that.
I wear NASCAR shirts cuz I like them.
  • I confess. All I first noticed about this question was - girls, shirts, off.
  • Yeah I have some tshirts I wear out and about. Mostly when I go to the sports bar. Everyone there is in some sort of NASCAR shirt. If it is a hot day and I go to the race then I have a white tank top that I sewed a little nascar flag on. As for showing off?? Nah.
Well maybe a little. Ya never truely outgrow that.
  • I wear my gear to show my support for my driver. That's it. Besides, I don't think that Kasey impresses too many guys.
  • Ive got a ton of t-shirts with Nascar and or driver numbers & sponsors. I just wear them to show my pride as a Nascar fan. My likes them too. One of my very first was a Mark Martin #6 Valvoline t-shirt. I still have it, my son wears it when he comes down.
  • two of us do in this family and 34 out of 48 in our office on NASCAR days!
  • I wear mine because they're cotton, which is the only fabric I wear in Hot, humid Florida. I like the style and like my favorite driver (Tony Stewart). The guys are more impressed with the big boobs under the shirts.
  • what a silly question, people wear their gear to support their drivers. The only time this may be true is in NC. wearing a Jr. Shirt.
  • Personally, I don't need to show off to the girls.

The little woman knows exactly what driver I like.

    We are a bye-racial couple.

I say "There's a race on, and she says Bye".
  • I proudly wear my Reed Sorenson shirts!something special in the air slogan

  • I've had Evo 8's over well 150, sounds like its a Japanese spec car, their law limits road cars to (i think) 112mph, although they usualy manage to go a good bit faster. Take it to a Mitsubishi dealer and they'll be able to tell you if its limited.
The limiter is electronic so its easy enough to over ride. or as someone else said have the ECU remapped and expect 165mph.

I take it that's what you mean by peeling out? if not, tell us more.
  • By "peeling out" do you mean it stops accelerating at 135? and wont go faster? I'm sure it has an electronic speed control that limits the speed. If this is the problem you can have the chip or ECM re-programed to eliminate this function. Make sure you have tires rated for the speeds you will be running. Good luck and be careful.
  • ok i recently got a Mitsubishi lancer evolution x and i keep peeling out at 135 ive gone alot faster before with other cars and i handle the car well but is there a reason that its doing this o and buy the way im doing this on a closed track
  • youre trying to accelerate to quick?clie palm desktop
  • Who hurts your feelings more "Rowdy" or "Junior"?

    May be...

  • huh?
    hurt my feelings ?
  • junnnnnyer
  • Neither one of them hurt my feelings. They do however sometimes amaze me.
  • I have to chuckle at your question. No one hurts my feelings. However, if you were to reword the question and ask who gets my juices flowing then I could tell you Rowdy!

[As much as he irritates me, I did feel sorry for him today. He just didn't have a good race day. Rowdy is sitting 14th in overall points with a 16th place finish today.]

Got more than you bargained for with my answer, didn't you? ha ha ha

    Stewart Haas Racing!
  • : )
  • Neither "hurt" my feelings. Although, I have been disapointed in them at different times this year. Kyle for his immature attitude & selfish demeanor. Junior because i think he's lost the "spark" he had before & don't know how or if he'll get it back
  • Neither of them "hurt" my feelings....I dont get this questions lol...Theyre just drivers, soo...what?arrival fraport
  • Do you think michael schumacher still has what it takes to keep up in todays feild of drivers?

    May be...

  • maybe not. and his car isn't as competitive as he's used to as well.....

but F1 needs some big personalities again. have you noticed that the media is still trying to keep some hype around ferrari and hamilton even though they're well back on the leader board? that's coz after so many years of focusing solely on mclaren and ferrari, no one knows/cares about any other team or driver..... it's a bit like the major football comps except man u, inter, barca, etc are still at the top.

i'm sure that's a big reason why he's coming back - a familiar face that people want to watch.
  • well alot has changed in F1 racing since 2006 so only time will tell.plasma dealer

    Please Help???????????

  • Don't waste too much time looking for a burn-out, Dale didn't believe in doing that to a car..
The best pics would be from the Daytona 500, in 1998..
  • Jr. or Sr.?
  • My husband loves Dale Earnhardt, and I am needing a good pic, preferably one with him doing a burnout to make invitations for his sup rise Earnhardt party, I have looked and can't find any. Thanks if you know of any...
    thats a pretty good one
  • The Daytona 500 picture would bee cool. Where all the pit crew members lined up on pit road to congratulate him. If you google 1998 Daytona 500 you can find these pics. Or try to google earnhardt sr. burnout or wins.
  • I looked long and hard and this is all I could find :

What was the first major corporate sponsor in nascar?

    May be...

  • What company was the first to be a major sponsor for a team?
  • STP with Richard Petty in 1972.
  • NORTH CAROLINA MOONSHINE.......
  • STP for the King!

  • How bout KHI and the driver?

    May be...

  • Hey Richard Kyle wasn't racing last night in case you didn't notice. LOL And it isn't all about Kyle even though you may secretly want it to be. Nascar favoring Kyle??? ROFL

Ron is just a great veteran driver in a sport where there are so few left.
  • what about that 33 truck and ron hornaday?5 in a row.........
can he make it 6 at bristol in 2 weeks,he leads all drivers with wins on short tracks.why is he so dominate right now in the craftsman truck series?

suggested category............travel/asia pacific/vietnam..................how funny is that?
  • It was cool to see Ron set that record,he is a great driver. Bristol could be anyones race but it would be cool to see him get 6 in a row .

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
  • Awesome, I've been a Hornaday Jr fan forever, KHI has super trucks they really have it, and Ron gets great trucks every week. Can't wait to see him get the 6th win a row in 2 weeks.. Congrats to Ron and KHI, Ron looked super cool holding up that guitar.. Well done Ron.

    Go Dale Jr
  • First of all Ron is one of the best drivers in the trucks and it doesn't hurt that KHI puts some good equipment under him
  • Ron Hornaday has just been amazing. Winning five races in a row is really difficult no matter how talented you are or what equipment you have but this guy is 51 years old and is driving like somebody in his 20s. He is the third driver to ever win five races in a row in one of the top three series (Richard Petty and Bobby Allison are the other two) and the first in 38 years. You're doing pretty dang good if you're getting mentioned along with those two guys.

I don't think he wins 6 in a row but I didn't think he would win this weekend either so who knows? Obviously he has some great equipment at KHI.
  • we all know how good hornaday is. heck i'm not a fan of him but want to see him break history!
  • BOOOOOOOORRRRRRINNNNNNNNGGGGG.

Worse than Jimmie winning three championships in a row. I would hate to be a true truck fan.
  • Hornaday probably does the best restarts in the business, and always has.. That's one of the reasons he worked for Earnhardt.. NASCAR is busy making it easier for Kyle to win, by "creating" allot of restarts at the end of races, because he's good at restarts too.. But here's the thing.. Kyle is good at restarts, Ron is great at restarts.. Oh well..dirty japanese words
  • Kyle busch the biggest baby ever?

    May be...

  • i mean he cried yesterday because he didnt win.he has won 6 races and 7 2nd place finishes this year in nationwide.this guy is an idiot and the people who support him with sponsors are idiots.for you kyle busch fans you can go to kyles websight if he has one and voice your opinion there.this is for people who DONT like him.
  • If he was a gracious winner i might cheer----- hardly anyone likes him---- I guess he wants that bad boy image...
  • biggest baby EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Jeff Gordon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…
  • Is there a question here? I don't think Kyle is the biggest baby ever.Tony Stewart has a lot more bad interviews than Kyle does. Until this year the media wasn't sure how he was going to react after a race.
When you ask a question it is open for everyone! You don't get to dictate who is and isn't allowed to answer!
  • yeah he lacks class and dignity.didnt thank his sponsors or the fans for showing up at the race.didnt even thank his crew who put him into a position to win the race.only people who like him are the bandwagoneers.just like any sport they always go for the team that wins.case in point, detroit red wings fans and new york yankee fans
  • Without a doubt he is the most immature driver/person and sore loser in NASCAR. He is an equally bad winner...and he isn't even that good.
  • Yes.
  • I don't like him and he needs to be respectful and still give credit to his crew and sponsors. Second isn't the least bit horrible. They work hard and he should make them feel good and proud over a second instead of making them feel like $%!#. Look at his lead in the points standings, he's got over a 200 point lead!
  • He's confused.. He thinks whining about things makes him a bad boy.. Somehow some of the fans agree with that.. I find that odd..
    Bad boys don't whine..nunzia-laptop-tote
