Which sprint cup driver are you voting into the All Star race?

May be...

  • I voted for David Stremme and Elliot Sadler.

I'd give all my votes to Stremme, but I don't know what he'd drive.
  • I voted for Robby Gordon 892,000 times then they finally had a pop up window that said I already voted once from this I.P. address. Man I was bummin.
  • Pat N - Jeff Burton is already in the race. He has won within the past two years - last year at Texas, and this year at Bristol.

As for those not in the race yet, I'd love to see Carpentier in just for the fun of it. He has run his tail off to get into races week after week. I think he or Franchitti could provide some excitement.

But in the end, Elliot Sadler has become my choice. And not because Dale Jr. "endorsed" him - he's just a great racer and a great guy (anyone see he and Hermie on "The Real Deal") - even if he couldn't make it the first few laps around Darlington. His interview apologizing to his team and to Tony and his team showed class.

My boy Rowdy could stand to learn a little from both that and from Junior's interviews throughout the week. I don't want to go overboard and actually become "liked" or anything ;-)

Got to keep up that "rile 'em up" bad-boy image, but a little grace now and then would be nice.

  • jeff burton
  • i voted for elliott sadler like 50 times.
  • Michael Waltrip.
  • Reed Sorenson
  • Elliott Sadler! Thanks for the votes for him! He's my favrite driver but I hope he races his way in.
  • Kasey Kahne. I vote about 30-40 times per day!!
  • Kasey Kahne
  • Michael Waltrip and Kyle Petty
  • GO waltrip! would lie to see the #84 get in also
  • What lap will the first caution come out with this new pavement?

    May be...

  • Lap 18.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • 30
  • Lap 11.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • Lap 4
  • 25
  • lap 14 jr in the wall
  • I'm going within lap 12, lap 14. it will just be someone getting into the wall, nothing too serious.

many will leave the race tonight with a Darlinton stripe when the checkered flag drops at the end.
  • I think within the first 10 laps of when they are 2 wide once they get to single file we might not see one for awhile. But i have a feeling they are going to break a record in cautions tonight.
  • I think the first caution will come out within the first twenty laps of the race
  • lap 6
  • Second lap. Someone will bounce off the wall and wreck ten cars.
  • lap 15
  • Unfortunately, probably the 1st lap ...

Almost all the drivers seem to be having a problem with the higher speeds ?
  • Well, here's our answer....
    # 2

    #19 up into #20 1st turn, 2nd lap
    I guess Hawk was closest
  • 5
  • Lap 3....just my opinion.
  • Do you think Steve Wallace will ever turn out to be as good as his father Rusty Wallace?

    May be...

  • You know Superdave, he is only 20 yrs old If he is smart and listens to his dad, and ignore all the crap out there (yes even me) who have ripped him to shreds I think he has a shot..Last yr I wanted to rip him a new one. But this yr, yeah yeah that crap with that litte Shrub (just because he is a cup *ick) I think Steven will be in a couple yrs a pretty good driver..not gonna say he is gonna be as good as his dad, even "I" know Rusty Wallace his dad was a awesome driver..Steven if he matures the way "he" needs to mature, and ignore the media, I think he will be just fine...gotta admit, dang he's cute. Yes a top 5 at Darlington at 20 y/o yep he's gonna be fine...There might even be some Miller Lites in his future.
  • he'll be good, but i don't he will be as good. only time will tell.
  • Yes I do. It seems like over the past couple of weeks he has been getting better and better!
  • I wish he would punch Busch in the mouth. Then, I would be a fan of his for life.

Seriously, I think the kid has potential.
  • I think he will be better but he will play the villian role like Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart.
  • He is only 20 years old, had another top 5 tonight in Darlington.
  • nerver
  • rusty sucked!!!!!! and i bet steve will also!!!!!!
  • Possibly... he is pretty good! It's hard to be as good as Rusty though. Steve has a lot of fire to him, which is fun to watch. I loved his post race interview after the run-in with Little Busch. He sounded like a true southern racer, you couldn't understand half of what he said. =)
  • I don't think so, but he could be
  • Are questions about Kyle Busch forbidden?

    May be...

  • Actually winter glory, the questions about Jr hitting the wall at Richmond are still there. A lot of Jr bashing questions are still around. Now all of a sudden Kyle screws up and questions about it are deleted. And everyone whines about Jr Nation being thin skinned.
  • people don't like the questions and report them.
  • Kyle Busch questions are too psychotic for the unrated public.
  • I keep seeing questions about him disappear for some unknown reason.
  • Ive asked two questions, and both were deleted. I guess Jr Hation is out full force tonight.....See below...

Edit: Thank you bobbi, and I nominate you for the best answer award!! Go Jr!
  • wtf!?!?!
u know that... u just asked a question about him now u will see if they r forbidden
  • Sounds like a troll infestation
  • Ok guys and gals, lets get along. If not Im going to start posting you tube videos of roof camera footage on here. Have a nice evening Lynn. LOL!
  • betcha if I were asking questions like those about Jr., they'd get deleted, too..
  • Well, I've seen the question, "Are you happy that Scrub went into the wall?" get deleted. I'm not the person reporting, but I don't think that is right. It's kind of immature and sick to be happy that someone wrecks.
  • I don't care for his immaturity, or his driving style either, but seriously, when the subject line says yer happy about a crash, ANY crash, are you really surprised it was deleted?

He's not gonna win over any friends tonight.
The replay shows that he went UP into the car next to him, yet he blamed the other guy, who was trying to stay up high, out of his way?
  • they will tell you the reason.i love watching crashes personally.look for them on you tube.
  • Yeah, Lynn whats up with that, I was ready to answer the one about the Shrub in the wall and dang it was gone.. Can't we all just have fun with this...geez people its not the end of the world..Its just Jr Nation and the Shrubery have some fun..Did anyone notice that the Navy #88 was right there with the Shrub tonight...I think Kyle doesn't like that number for some reason, I bet he has night mares about #88 in his deepest wildest dreams..lol

    Go dale Jr & Hms
  • Winter Glory there were many questions celebrating Jr's wreck last weekend. I didn't see any deleted.
  • A certain mass of people report them and they get deleted.
This does nothing but make the "fan" reporting the questions look inmature.
  • Apparently so and hopefully YA investigates the person who keeps reporting people for asking questions about Kyle Busch because I didn't see anything wrong with The President Of JR Nation's question and it got deleted. Just like Kyle Busch this person needs to GROW UP!!
  • don't really care one way or the other about the SHRUB. They can be deleted all night.

What movie was the first to put a paint scheme on a Nascar racecar?

    May be...

  • Jurassic Park: The Lost World was the first movie to be a main sponsor on a Nascar car (Jeff Gordon's #24 in 1997). The following year were Small Soldiers on Bobby Labonte's #18, and Batman and Joker on Dale Jarrett's #88 and Kenny Irwin's #28. Movies Promoters really didn't discover the marketing potential of Nascar until the late '90's. Even with Days of Thunder, there was no car paint scheme to go with the release of the movie.
  • If your asking which movie first grazed the hood of a car, I think it was Jurassic Park on Jeff Gordons hood. But I'm not 100% sure on this.
  • Does anyone know or have details about the very first motion picture to have a custom car at a Nascar race? What movie was the first to have one? Was it Day's of Thunder?
  • I agree with you It was Days of Thunder, Tom Cruise was one heck of a NASCAR Driver in that film.
  • The movie batman was on bill elliots car
  • Do NASCAR drivers urinate on themselves while driving?

    May be...

  • No...I like Super Dave's idea only I think they connect a hose to them and it goes out the tail pipe.
    I take it you've never worked out in the heat n broke a sweat before.... =o~}
  • I'm not sure... But if you have to go, you have to go!
i mean in basketball...when those guys who are paid to wipe up sweat come on to the court...do u really thinkthey're wiping up sweat??? i dont think so..
  • I don't understand why people are so concerned with how a driver pee's. They do what they have to do.

^^^^ Hey SuperDave was that a little sarcasm I sensed?
    Hahaha...too funny!
  • No.

Have you ever worked for hours in the sun while drinking water and sweating? How often did you have to urinate?
  • Only the ones that enjoy that sort of thing.
  • I assume they just go. For the money they make, I'd certainly go in my pants. But I imagine they sweat it out mostly.
  • harry gant once said he had to go extremely bad so he did during a race he won
  • NO THEY TAKE A PILL BEFORE THE RACE ITS WHAT IVE HEARD
  • They tape an 8X10 glossy of Dale Jr. on the floorboard to use as a target.
  • Forget it. The drivers will worry about that right?
  • No,, they just hang it out the window and let r rip. Thats what all that fluid is from you see on the roof cameras on TV. Good question though, its never been asked in here before.
  • Is prohibited that they eat or drink... hours before racing...
  • You mean the drivers pee??????

God, and here I was thinking they were perfect.

Get a ride, and find out for yourself. Then let us know fersuredude.

Superdave, we are not worthy, we are not worthy.......LOL

Bamaboy, what exactly is a diper? Some kind of a spoon?
  • How often do you see football player running to the locker room to pee? You have to hold it or sometimes in Nascar, just go.
  • They wear a Diper. Sp if they have to go they go. My dad use to race in the truck series and I want to be a nascar racer when i grow up and he said they where dipers
  • I'd say the way everyone is driving this year a few of them do
  • Superdave, you crack me up..Okay so now we know where all that liquid is....make ya think...its amazing how many people are interested in drivers piss...lol

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I've explained this a lot of times, but I'll do it again just for you!
There is a small holding tank under the seat. A hose runs from the driver through the bottom of the seat to the holding tank. There is a valve on the left hand side of the seat. Under caution only, the driver can drop down on to the apron and dump the tank using this valve. It is against the rules to dump the tank on the track as this could cause an accident. If you have to #2, you just have to wait.
    Hope this helps!!!
  • They drive for hours and drink lots of fluids. What do they do when they have to go?
  • No, they have a little troll that lives on the floor board that they pee on.
  • Yes, and sometimes even when they are not driving.
  • What do you think about special paint schemes?

    May be...

  • Yeah, I have the Dale Jr Mountain Dew Die Cast got it on monday, I'm going to have to get a part time job soon, I want that new National Guard Camo one also...I'm sure DW is gonna be so excited to see the Mountain Dew car on Sunday take the green flag he won't be able to contain himself.. I love different paint schemes but I'm being more selective now, since Dale Jr has a zillion new paint schemes this yr, and I hear theres more AMP ones to come, after all Amp comes several different color cans..Maybe I'll start getting the smaller ones..This is a expensive habit/hobby..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I love them, I have the original silver select car and I paid a ton of $$$ to get it, then Action decided to re-release it in the Life Time Series that they done for Sr. Which by the way really upset me because now the car really isn't worth what it use to be. It turned me off from buying alot of diecast, but I still love the change of pace.

Sorry for the rant, that's something I could go on for days about.

Also, just for a little added knowledge for newer folks or future collectors, the Silver Select car was the first real special paint scheme in NA$CAR.
  • A couple a year would be cool , I'm a collector myself . I also used to be a dealer , gave it up because I couldn't stock all the paint schemes people wanted .Still have hundreds left from mid '90's to about '01, hats and T's too . Anybody want anything special , I might have it. Very little for JR & SR cause that's who I collect. Got a few hundred thousand cards also .
  • To me it really depends on what the paint job is. Some I like and others I don't. They have to be really cool for me too like them.
  • you must have not seen this 1

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/14846694@N0...

but i cant wait to see it on the track an on tv
  • I like them, Jr usually has the best ones.
  • I like them I mean yeah, it's kinda a pain in the a*s when you collect diecasts, but there are some really cool ones. The biggest pain is finding them in the cheap stuff(aka Wal-Mart) although I do have Jr's camo scheme from last year, and all the DEI Dale Sr tribute cars. Scary thing is I called that retro Dew scheme months ago.
  • Dale Jr is running the retro Mt Dew car this weekend ( I'll bet ole' DW is even more excited when he says Boogity-Boogity-Boogity!) and the 3 Doors Down Citizen Soldier car during the all-star race, and it got me thinking about special paint schemes.

I like the change of pace, but it costs me a ton of money because I collect diecast. It all started for me when Dale Sr. ran the silver RJR 25th aniversary car in the 1995 Winston.

What do you guys think about special paint jobs?
  • i love it so i got more than just 1 theme on shirts, so that way i wear the shirt with what car hes racin. Ya i know im a freeek, cant help it, i love the guy, GO JR 88, so i'll be wherin my mntn dew gear!!!
  • I think they are a lot of fun, but I don't collect every single one anymore. If it's especially cool, then I get one. With all the special paint schemes about every week these days, it'll put the working class diecast collector into the poorhouse.
  • when D.W ran the Mt.Dew Car he was undefeated and maybe Jr. is trying to get on some of that magic mojo and help him get a win.
I like the different paint schemes because it mixes things up a little. I say change the red Bud car once in a while too.
    GO # 9 Kasey Kahne
  • I love them. They're a nice change of pace. I collect diecasts also, and the only thing that I hate is having to wait months for the new schemes to be made available.
  • It's all in the grand scheme of things NASCAR!
  • Breaks the monotonity of the regular schemes, looks good, its alright in my book.
  • 8.5.08

Soo, do you all have your?

    May be...

  • huh? no.
  • Yes, I have several. I had the chore this yr of selling them out here, I sold out all 250 that I had in about a week, I'm tough it was a 5 pin minimum purchase, it all has already gone to the Nascar Foundation..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Nope. I don't have one. I wish I had a "Smile with Kyle" pin too.
  • No....and I hope Kyle crashes early.
  • i do just picked mine up at the home depot
  • nope, and hope for a cut tire, followed by a crushing blow to the wall, followed by a rod thru the oil pan for Kyle.
  • Yes. I order 2 every year except this year I noticed one has Casey Mears initials and the other has Jeff Gordons on it. Well at least they are doing something constructive this year by making little pins since Kyle is kicking the crap out of the entire team.

    Game on Lynn! lol
  • yessir i hope kyle wrecks on lap 88 and then again with 88 togo
  • Nope
  • Bought four two weeks ago. One each for me and a friend to wear, and one each to stay in the wrapper for our "random nascar collectibles" collections.

Don't they have some thing going on that proceeds from all pins bought on one weekend go to one charity, another weekend a different charity, etc.? I would have sworn I heard two weeks ago that the monies from all pins purchased at Home Depot that weekend were going to a specific one of the NASCAR Foundation's charities.

I know you can "earmark" donations made during the telethon next week to go to specific charities supported by the foundation, or did I hear that incorrectly as well?

    --kyle busch, 2006
  • No, I haven't gotten one. Have a nice day everybody!
  • No, I don't. I know that the money goes to the NASCAR foundation, which is supposed to go to charity. I just don't like to give NASCAR any more money than I can help; they're rich enough. Not that I don't trust them, lol, I just don't trust them. My charitable contributions go to the Victory Junction camp.

To Mr. Tbone: Ignoring you, ignoring you, ignoring you. LOL!
  • no but i do have a MESSAGE

    LYNN UR GOING DOWN
  • Where does she say NASCAR is a sport? BTW, NASCAR is a Motorsport. Yep, have mine.

    Go Tony Stewart!!
  • Yes mam I sure have. My wife and I went to Home Depot in Mt. Pleasant Texas yesterday and got ours! Thanks for asking. Go Kurt!
  • nascar day pins, yet?
  • Who are your favorite drivers OFF OF THE TRACK.?

    May be...

  • Two,

    Tony Stewart.

    Kyle Petty.

    Need I say more?
  • Kevin Harvick!!!!

    29!!
  • My experience being fortunate enough to have garage passes at Texas a couple of times, Kasey Kahne & Ward Burton were two of my off the track meetings. Kasey and Ward are both very shy but will do just about anything for their fans,
  • I stress OFF OF THE TRACK.
I personally have to go with Elliott Sadler when I seen him at a autograph session and a lot of you might hate me for this but the Busch boys. Both of them acknowledged the fans and were very nice.
  • i would say kyle petty for his work at victory junction
  • Schrader and K Wallace
  • I met Denny Hamlin he was really nice & friendly!!! My mom accidently erased the picture, he was laughing & let us jump up there and take another one! GO 11
  • Matty Roy Kenseth!
  • I've only met one driver which was Tony Stewart. At an autograph session at our local Home Depot Tony signed until everyone was taken care of, then he spends a full hour with the Home Depot employees which I think is cool.

I also saw him get down from behind the table, and come knell down next to a little girl in a wheel chair, signed everything she wanted, and let the family take pictures of her and him. That was so cool. He's was very personable.
  • HAPPY KEVIN HARVICK FROM BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA
  • I like Jr on the track, and I think he'd be cool off the track as well.

Second, Kyle Petty. He just seems like a good guy who's always trying to help others.

I met Harry Gant on two separate occasions, and he was very nice.
  • I tell you what, I am a Dale Jr. fan but htere can not be a nicer guy than Carl Edwards. He is a class act. Did you know that he gives his winning trophy away to a sick child everytime he comes out on top!?? He has my vote!!!!!!
  • Ward Burton, great man. loves the wildlife wish he could win again though
  • Don't you think F1 was more interesting 7+ years ago and earlier?

    May be...

  • Noooooo friend. U r wrong. Earlier the races weren't as interesting as today because there were very less good drivers and the machines weren't good at all. Today the competition has reached a new level. I watch the races for my favourite driver (Hammy) and I get a lot of pleasure by just seeing him racing. I also watch F1 due to it's spectacular accidents. U remember Kubica's accident last year. It was amazing. Earlier the cars were not so fast that would have lead to such an accident. The Spanish GP was really thrilling because of the early moves by Hammy and Massa (although i hate him) and the gap between the leaders was so less. U will find F1 interesting today if u watch it only for ur favourite driver. u know I get immense pleasur when Ferraris retire or are involved in an accident. Watch and enjoy Hamilton win the Turkish GP and ultimately the driver's championship.
  • I'm torn between the racing of now, and the racing of the last decade... because I still find F1 exciting now, but I would like it if it was easier for drivers to make a charge (the cars are so close nowadays, that even if a driver puts in a superhuman effort... it doesn't pay as much dividends as in the past...) and I also wish overtaking was easier, like it used to be... Hopefully the regulation changes will mean racing will be closer, and the blank canvas these rules will create will mean that the differences in car characteristics will be more noticable...
  • totally agree not to mention that new rules aren't making things better
  • Yes. Funny you should mention it. I live in Australia so as I was beginning to form an interest in F1, the time difference meant I could only watch the starts. And then promptly fall asleep...

Then in late 2000 I started living in the UK and could watch full races. It was great. But gradually declined. I came back to Australia after a few years and now make effort to watch full races. But I look back longingly and kick myself for not doing it earlier...when it was SO much more exciting.

Hey but it is beginning to turn a corner, yeah?? Hope !! Naive?? haha
  • I would like to see more competition, but not necessarily breakage. I think the bit I miss about past races the most is the reminder that race cars are mechanical objects.

Today's cars are seriously impressive, but the constuction almost makes you forget that there is a mechanical element to them. They are almost like noisy sculpture making their way around the track. I love the F1 cars from the sixties and early seventies for that reason. They were still sleek, purposeful machines, but you could tell that they were machines. I particularly like the Lotus 49 and 72, but the Ferrari machines from the seventies were also quite beautiful. In addition, like anything that came out of Britain or Italy in the sixties or seventies, they broke relatively often, giving you your competetive balance.
  • that time it wasn't like these years that who gets first and makes some distance wins the race for sure. Back then it was not sure who would win because everything could happen like technical problems. ex. broken engine. today it's so boring...
  • 10 years ago it was more thrilling. It all seems too easy for some of the drivers and a bit predictable in some elements.
I still love it and never cease to be enthralled by it but I don't like the direction it has moved towards with some of the newer circuits.
My biggest wish is that there will be a return to more over-taking and the magic of mechanical engineering will be ressurected again.

  • Don't you think F1 was more interesting 7+ years ago and earlier?

    May be...

Hope !! Naive?? haha

  • that time it wasn't like these years that who gets first and makes some distance wins the race for sure. Back then it was not sure who would win because everything could happen like technical problems. ex. broken engine. today it's so boring...

Do you Think Kyle Bush Should be pentalized for taking Jr. out?

    May be...

  • nope..
  • yes being involved in race stoppage he should have gone to the back of the pack.
  • No, both teams agreed it was an accident
  • No. But I do think that the next person that stirs up this crap again should be shot at sunrise.
Uh oh, was that too harsh? lol
  • Clint won? Awesome. I didn't even realize.

Now now Gloria. Enough with the violence....
  • No, it was a racing incident.
  • no why would he you might as well pentalize everyone who is at fault for a crash, waltrip didnt evn get pentalized for admiting to crashing someone on purpose, denny didnt get pentalized for causing the yellow flag to be waved
  • Busch should have his butt kicked by Dale Jr. That was complete BS and Busch is lucky he got out of that town with all his limbs still attached.
  • No, they should just take it to the infield and "have at it"...like the good 'ol days. Then it would be settled once and for all.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • Yeah Right, sure why not! But then if Nascar did that they'd have to for each time Shrub did that. Think he's have any points? lol No!
  • Um, no, watch the replay, I believe even Jr admitted to some error in this.
  • I definitely think he should b penalized he did it on purpose it was obvious. Kyle thinks he God's gift to the racing world and he's not! He'll get his what goes around comes around. JR will come back this week even better and kyle better watch out. Go JR
  • of course
  • Oh for crying out loud, even Dale Jr said this wasn't intentional. Give a rest already.
  • dude stop its OVER IT WAS A RACING DEAL COME ON LET US LOOK FORWARD TO DARLINGTON STOP DUDE JUST STOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
  • No. Because Junior should've known better. Junior should've let Kyle get almost past him and Junior should've taken out Kyle for the win. But Junior is just too nice of a guy. Maybe that's why he's driving for HMS and not Kyle.
  • Kyle would do anything for position. Even from 39th to 1st. I always think he says something like this " It's not my fault I hit her, I mean him, I want to win all the time," when he wreck anyone at the first lap. Or maybe like this when he wins a race, " In your face Kyle Petty, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, you didn't win, haha!!!!!!!!!" I call him one of the highest paid crybaby.
  • yes, for taking Jr out Saturday , for taking Stephen Wallace out in the Nationwide race , and for taking out all those other drivers in the past and future. Nascar won't do anything because he has made fans start watching again.
  • jr said in his post race interview that he was partily to blame because he came down on kyle

but i guess jr nation didnt hear all that

let this subject drop already kyle did nothing wrong excet to let boyer pass him
  • Nope, I think when all the smoke clears you will see Kyle Bush firewall deep in the retaining wall somewhere. Not necessarily put there by jr either.
  • Hech no! JR shouldn't even be on the same race track as Kyle,he hasn't proved he can race with the big boys yet, even though he joined a new team. Same old JR.
  • Look at his record before this wreck. Kyle Busch should be indefinitely suspended from NASCAR. I wouldn't miss him for a minute.
  • Gregs 111 I heard it and NO! Kyle should not be fined. For what racing? It would be better for him to take it like a man when it happens to him instead of storming off like some spoiled little brat!
  • being a junior fan of course i want kyle to be penalized but stepping back and not taking either sides who knows what truly happen except for kyle and junior, kyle could have gotten loose and tried to save it but all we have are video clips...
  • No,No,No....This was a racing incident...I think Jr Nation punished Kyle enough for this already...Now if he does this happens again...There will be more pins in my Shrub voo doo doll..(ouch) lol

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • No he shouldn't be penalized. Are you retarded? It was hard racing is all.

Jr. is in the best car on the track and still can't seem to win. Kyle has won....what....two already. For a first year Toyota team?? Good going Kyle!!
  • no i dont think it was a cheap shot
  • All I know is that for the first time since the '07 Daytona 500, I was jumping up and down and yelling at my TV. NASCAR has been lacking that kind of hard core racing for quite some time, and it was good to see again. Jr came up short, too bad for him. But anyone who thinks Kyle should be punished for racing that hard should think about converting into an IRL fan.
  • If you consider not having enough balls to hold it down there grounds for a penelty, then yup otherwise, no
  • All Dale Jr fan?

    May be...

  • Another one to add to the 3rd grade punctuation class....
  • That's a brilliant comparison. Professional race car drivers versus someone playing their Play Station.
  • wow

    omg

    he spun u out

its a video game get over it

y not save the money u spend on video games and beer and build a street stock dirt car and hit the race track?

and u were fair for doing this, maybe the people who officiate online racing might of thought that he spinning u out was an accident, maybe he got lose.
  • Well, if the rules say no aggressive driving. Don't do it.

Maybe the game took his spinning you out as an accidental situation. You however clearly rammed him (Ala Mikey Waltrip).

And a personal note, punctuation helps.

IE; was it last night or today?
  • Is it me, or did you post this same question yesterday?
  • This belongs in the Video Game section.

If you're old enough to have kids, shouldn't you be old enough to know better than to get all worked up over a video game?
  • Jr. overdrove it into the corner, face the facts!
  • Gee, they must of thought you were Michael Waltrip! Everybody else bings and bangs, and when Waltrip gets upset, he gets parked. Shame on Nascar.....
But the popular drivers get banged and it's ok.. Nascar really does suck. I hope your listening Helton!!!!!!!!
  • The parties involved will talk have a drink and get ready for the next race.
And as for the game I reset it and start over.
  • lastnight i was playing my nascar game online today and this dude spun me out going into turn 1 on the 1st lap just so happens hes in the 5 car im not ranting on about last Saturday but im over that but my thing is when he spun me out ya i was mad but he didnt get baned from Play Station online for cheating / reckless driving but when i payed him back i got banned for 24 hrs heres a replay of me paying
him back and tell me if i was fair or wrong for doing this

  • Is anybody going to watch the Jeff Burton news conference at 2pm ET today?

    May be...

  • I'll be at work..
  • Whats it about? I'm on dial-up so any kind of video comes in crappy.
  • It's going to be a live conference in video on nascar.com
  • SURE AM
  • Yes if I can catch a break at work at that time. I enjoyed the Kasey Kahne one last week.
  • Of course I am. I wouldn't miss it for the world! Jeff Burton is like my favorite driver. =]
  • I'll watch it if I'm not in a dang meeting at work...but for sure I will watch the re-run on nascar.com later this everning...I maybe be a Dale Jr fan but I like Jeff Burton also..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • I think I found Nascar's dumbest driver, what do you think?

    May be...

  • That gives me chills. That is absolutely horrible. That crash is the reason that drivers have to have spotters even during practice in all Nascar series and Arca. I can't believe she didn't avoid him. As you saw, the first car to go by made it through while he was still spinning around.
  • Wow. That is awful!

*Your question/comment is a bit misleading. ARCA and NASCAR are not connected. They are completely different and separate stock car racing divisions/series.
  • You missed it, NASCAR's dumbest driver is earnhardt jr. watch his interviews and you will understand
  • WOW! I have never seen that before. RIP Eric Martin.
  • She raced NASCAR Craftman Truck Series but lost her sponsor in 2006, which effectively ended her racing career.

EDIT - She did race NASCAR first, then switched to ARCA, and then to NASCAR CTS. Yeah, the wreck with Eric Martin was horrible.
  • UMMM DON'T KNOW DON'T REALLY CARE
  • One incident does not make one the dumbest driver. Maybe you should go and watch the whole racing series from when it started to now. Lots of other drivers have done alot of dumb moves, on and off the track. Unless you were in her shoes you don't know exactly what happened. No spotters, didn't even know the wreck had happened. You don't know how her car was handling. By the time she was able to see the turned car you don't know if there was anything she could have done. NASCAR even changed the way they did things after that. They started having spotters in place at all times when cars were on the track. So in reality alot of the blame for this accident falls on the shoulders of NASCAR itself.
  • wow i have never scene that clip ever, that is amazing... but seriously how did she not miss the car? It is a pretty bulky thing and it had a little bit of smoke coming out of it...
  • R.I.P. Eric Martin. Deborah Renshaw is the worst driver and does anyone know if she still has a Nascar license or a street licence for that matter?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl9I1FUib...
  • Yuo just been called by a CUP driver to race any kind of race car?

    May be...

  • I like your answer HMS bites. I would like to drive that #18. I'll tell you what; I'll take the #20 bass pro late model and we'll battle it out in the midwest. How about the summernationals?
  • Give me Dale sr.'s older #3,
i would like to see 210 on
    the front stretch of Talledega!
    Dont that sound fast ?
  • I am going with the speed, give me his # 20 car and lets get racin.
  • WHAT CAR ARE YOU CHOOSING AND WHY? I PICK TONY STEWART BASS PRO SHOP OUTLAW SPRINT CAR BECAUSE DIRT ID THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  • I'm picking, Rowdy's hot, flaming, Toyota. Racing near the front baby!
  • I'm going in the #11 with the Headbangers ball scheme. Wreckers or Checkers baby.. Move out of my effin' way midpackers. Tony,Rowdy and I are coming through.

Baylis will need a BC after I put him into the wall. lol
  • #88 Dale Jrs amp car
  • I like the black Chevy's that DEI has. Since Truex rules in the #1 car, I would have to take the #8 and give the #18 the worse time of his life so our Bass Pro Shops car could swoop on a couple wins for the season. (except Mark Martin & Martin Truex Jr. are two of the best drivers on the circuit)
  • I'll take Bobby Labonte's #43 car. i want to take it to victory lane. i also think it's the most decorative car in the field. I also want Jeff Gordon's Pepsi logo on my car as well.
  • If you're taking Smoke's Bass Pro car, I'll take Bowyer's #18 WoO LM. It's a proven winner. Shannon Babb won Saturday night with it.
  • I'm Takin the Bud car and going after Kyle Busch to make him taste his style of racing! ha ha
    Go # 9 Kasey Kahne
  • Give me Dale Sr's #3, I've got a Scrub to plant in the wall for some decorations at Darlington.. Sorry I just had to do it..lol

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

What is important to have about a car when doing circuit racing?

    May be...

  • If you are looking for what makes a great racecar... in short: everything. The main limiting factors will be 1) budget, 2) rules. You mention the Miata... the Miata ia a great track car for many because it is lightweight, well balanced, quite inexpensive, large numbers of the car were made which means replacement parts and bodywork are easy to get from salvage yards... and, there are many classes where a Miata can fit in and be competitive (even aside from the Spec-Miata class).

As a generalization, power is important, but if you take a car and look at what will make it do a faster lap, you will generally find it takes quite a bit more power to make large gains as where smaller improvements in the suspension or setup can make much bigger gains. Tires will make the biggest plus, and many races are decided by who is running which tire and what compound. Next comes having a good setup (appropriate alignment, corner balancing, etc). Connected directly to that are adjustable suspension components (Anti-Roll Bars, Shocks, Springs, etc).

Lighter is also always better... even getting well under the minimum race weight since when adding ballast weight, you can choose just where you want it. Small things like a good steering wheel or race shell can make a big difference too by lessening driver fatigue. After all of that, then you get to power! Power can make a big difference when everything else is sorted out... and then, small gains of a couple hp can be just enough to get the job done (since in most races, the rules are such that the cars are quite evenly matched).
  • I know they even race mx-5 meita's so what is importent because power is only good for 1/4th racing in streight line.
  • "Why are all you Kyle Busch fans pissed? What's a matter , truth hurt?

    May be...

  • You are right. Kyle Busch has the points lead and has been stacking up the wins in 4 different types of cars, so there really is nothing to be ticked about. I think it's the JR nation with the real problem.
  • sorry, we Jr. fans tend to get a little carried away. Busch should watch out though, what goes around, comes around. Busch will get his next time Jr. and Busch come side by side.
  • i'm not pissed. you posting this question doesn't help the fans to get over it.
  • They're pissed because all 10 fans of Kyle Busch think that it wasn't Kyle's fault!
  • the "SHRUB" has fans, can u count to 10...lol, moving on
  • I was at the race, in corner 4; I saw the wreck in person, and on the TV the next day. I'm not a Jr Fan, and I'm sure as heck not a Busch fan...but racing is racing. They both were going for the same piece of track. Nothing is worse than watching 20k Jr Fans flip off Bush and yell obscenities. It's sad when the race car drivers have more class than the people paying to watch them.
  • Kyle is getting blamed for something he doesnt think he did. Jr. knows he didnt, and America knows. Then there are just certain people that want to believe otherwise. At first I was thinking it was intentional then I watched the replay and listened to all the newscasters and then thought about it. I'm thinking it was just hard racing and an unfortunate event occurred. Kyle Busch was used to all the hatred anyhow, he does alot of things people dont like to begin with so this just adds to the fire.
  • Replay after Replay after replay showed that Busch's car got loose when JR. got too close in the turn. If you want to get real technical the cause of the wreck was Jr. But since Jr. is the prize of the day then it can never be his fault.
Buy the weigh, I am a fan of neither driver....

In response to the guy that wondered if the Jr. fans missed the Jr. comment???? They still think he is wearing a Bud sticker....so they are helping Bud still...Maybe too much???
  • He know's he wrecked Jr, and so do you? You're right let's move on.
  • No one is watching the video close enough. Kyle didn't have the car to win so he wrecked JR. As he himself stated Friday night, "I don't care how many cars I have to wreck". He has a bad attitude and his a reckless driver. NASCAR needs to do something about his behavior. I am getting sick of the way he acts, it seems like every week se is wrecking someone. What upsets me the most is that NASCAR has made such a big deal about safety the last few years and then the let him get away with this kind of stuff. I don't even want to watch any more I am so sick of him.
  • If it was the other way around, Jr. fans would be pissed their driver was being questioned. What's the difference? Jr. can do no wrong, that's what. I'll be interested to see their reactions when Jr. takes somebody out like this in a while, it'll be justified some way.
  • Monday night on "This week in Nascar" Michael Waltrip said it best. He said "Accident, intentional or unintentional, Kyle Busch screwed up."
  • Jr was as much at fault as Kyle was, "Just hard racing" Jr's words.
  • I am not a fan of the 18, but this is kinda funny so I have to comment. "He know's he wrecked Jr, and so do you? You're right let's move on."

If you really wanted to move on you wouldnt post this question.

And by the way, "What's a matter" ?? I think you mean What's THE matter
  • busch fans are pissed because of retards like you!

    go jr and stewart!!!
  • Okay the only reason this is an issue is the simple fact that jr has way more fans then kyle busch. kyle busch is just jealous of jr and the fact that jr gets way more face time then him. Report It
  • i was so pissed when it happened but afterwards when i cooled down i realized that thats just racing. what this proves to me is that junior will win this year
  • Jr. said it was a accident because its good P.R. He didnt say what was really on his mind. Even if it was a accident, to be about to win a race and get wrecked your gonna blame the other guy. Iv hated busch for awhile now, he is a cocky kid who needs someone to put him in his place.

I just hope that there is a time when jr. is a couple laps down for some reason and kyle is in first and about to pass him with a couple laps left for the win. I hope jr just takes him out. That would be my dream race.
  • It was a racing accident. I'm a Jr fan. Jr even said so.
  • what are you smokin

  • Okay.. do u think Casey Mears blew a tire or did he pull a slide job on Micheal W.?

    May be...

  • No, I don't think Mears blew the tire until after he hit Michael. I think he simply had a bonehead moment and didn't even see him. I also think his spotter was either taken completely by surprise that Mears would move up the track that way, wasn't doing his job by telling Mears he was clear, or Mears doesn't listen to his spotter much.

Michael did diserve to sit out the rest of the race. I like Michael, I really do, but he even admits he did it on purpose. I was dissapointed for him, and I did laugh when he retaliated, and I probably would have done the same thing.

As for what Kyle did....I honestly don't think Kyle did it on purpose. I think he is guilty of over aggressive driving and nothing more. He needs to mature and learn that if you are going to race the leader, ANY leader, then you have to make sure if you drive that hard you have control of your car. The intent was not there like it was with what Michael did, so I can see why NASCAR didn't punish him in anyway.

As for Hamlin... I think NASCAR needs to hand out stiffer punishments that just two laps. After all, he would have went two laps down anyway by coming in to get his tire fixed. So really it was like NASCAR didn't hand him any punishment at all.

The incident on pit road with Tony Stewart is what confused me the most. The guy in front of him, and sorry I can't think who the driver was, stopped short in his box. Tony was mad, and I would have been too. But, we all know that Tony purposely gave him a shot on the way out of his pit box. I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing, or he wasn't justified in doing it. But, why was Michael punished and Tony wasn't?

NASCAR officials have got to be more consistent. It can't be okay for one driver and not another.
  • I don't think his tire blew before the contact with Waltrip. I was at the race, in turn 4 where it started, and I think he just didn't see Michael there; he even stated so after the fact. As for the thought that Denny stopped just to allow Busch to get into Jr....What about the second shooter on the hill??
  • Casey He had a communication problem with his spotter. He thought he was clear of Waltrip. Waltrip was very mad, but should not have involved his car. He got parked the rest of the night. Denny should have pit knowing he had a tire going down. But he knew his teammate had a chance. I think he helped Kyle. And kyle and Jr,............... That's Just RACING!!!!!!!!!
  • And...is it fair what he got?.. as opposed to Denny stopping and Kyle taken out Jr.
    I think Its Complete BS!
    WHAT do u think?
  • I have to admit I liked the incident between the two but you cant put someones safety at risk no matter if you think there was no chance of harm or not. I think it was a honest mistake by Casey and his spotter. Sometimes that stuff happens, look at what Kevin Lepage did during the Nationwide race at Dega when him and his spotter didn't communicate well.
  • He said that he just didn't know Waltrip was there. He had a communication problem with his spotter.
  • He obviously pulled a slide job...
  • I think Casey made a bad move didn't see Waltrip and went up and into him. Mikey paid him back, then Mikey got his pay back.

I don't think Denny should have stopped to pull the caution & he paid for that. I did feel terrible for Denny though they guy worked his tail off all day long.

Kyle taking out Junior I do think it was just hard racing....rubbin and bumpin all the way. I couldn't have felt worse for Junior though. Never the less Kyle Bush is a jerk, period.
  • heres an article about what happened

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/news;_ylt...
  • I am the BIGGEST Mikie fan in the world, and there have been times when he is stupid. I'm glad he did pay Mears back. BUT, whenever something like that happens, they hold them a lap, not the rest of the race. I guess there weren't too many laps left, but the rest of the race? That's unfair. How many times there have been drivers that bang each other back and forth, and Nascar doesn't take them off of the track. If you are not one of popular ones, forget it. Nascar makes their own rules...And yes, I am whinning.....Sorry.
  • I watched the TV show last night and they have both kissed and made up. Michael said that he never knew what it took to get "parked" by NASCAR but he knows now............Mears spotter blew it and Waltrip retaliated by pushed him down the straight a way!! It was pretty good stuff.
  • I HEARD THAT MIKEY BLEW A "TRANNY" BEFORE....
EEEWWWWW! HOPE HE DIDN'T GET ANY FLUID ON HIM!!
  • Who is your favorite NASCAR driver?

    May be...

  • Bobby Labonte. He has been my fav for a loooong time.
  • Bobby Labonte/Kyle Petty are equally my faves.
  • Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Yep, that's right...a card carrying member of the LOUD and PROUD Jr Nation....beeeeeotch.
  • Go # 9 Kasey Kahne
  • Elliott Sadler
  • All time fav would be Mark Martin.
Full timers- Greg Biffle, hopefully he will be the first to win all 3 championships.
  • Jeff Gordon
  • Carl Edwards & Jeff Gordon
  • All time fave, King Richard Petty.

    Nowadays, Tony Stewart.

Runners up, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr. (in no particular order)
  • Clint Bowyer
  • My fav is Mark Martin even tho he is driving for DEI. He is one of the most considered drivers left in NASCAR.
  • KAHNE ALL THE WAY
  • mine is Jeff Gordon
  • Mark Martin and Kyle Busch
  • I would definitely have to say Carl Edwards! But then my 2nd favorite is a two-way tie between Jeff Burton and Ryan Newman.
  • TONY STEWART!!!!!!!!!!!!
and he takes like a man,and keeps on ticking.
  • We like Tony Stewart.
  • Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr, both equally and for years.
  • Jeff Burton is my favorite driver.
  • Matty Roy Kenseth!
  • Who is the best Nascar Driver?

    May be...

  • 1 Dale Jr. 2 Ryan Newman (close but Dales got him)
  • truex jr number 1
  • Tony Stewart is the best Nascar driver, maybe not right now but overall he is. Second would be Jeff Gordon.
  • Tony Stewart,Jeff Gordon,Jeff Burton.
  • Kyle Petty
  • It sure isn't BABY BUSCH!
  • He is a past nascar driver, but my vote is for Dale Earnhardt Sr. He was unstoppable!!! It was a shame that his life ended to soon.
  • DALE SR THE BEST
i like Jr but he does not anything like is dad
I LIKE tony just because he tell it like it is allot like dale Sr.
  • Good question and that will always be a matter of opinion. So love em or hate em, here are my top 5 choices and I'm basing this off the past four to 5 years, not life time.

1 Jimmie Johnson (pains me to say that)
    2 Tony Stewart
3 Jeff Gordon (man that hurts :-) )
    4 Kevin Harvick
    5 Dale Jr.
  • dale jr & gorden
  • DALE JR, edwards, mar martin, jeff burton, stewart, j johnson, gordon, There are many good drivers, but my opinion are the ones who can come from the back, over n over n just continue to get there. n getter dun!!
  • Toss up between 1, 2 and 3, take your choice.
    1 Jimmie Johnson
    2 Tony Stewart
    3 Jeff Gordon
    4 Mark Martin
    5 Kyle Bush
    10: Jr.
  • TONY STEWART ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
  • kyle busch

    denny hamlin

    tony stewert
  • Im with Snake, Im staying with Jeff Gordon as my choice.
  • Tony Stewart, hands down, the best race car driver ever...
  • Jeff Gordon. He has won the championship more than any other driver who is currently running.

The best driver this year has to be Kyle Busch hands down. Just take a look at any car he has driven in a race...amazing.
  • I think that Jeff Gordon is still the best on the track but watch out because Jimmie Johnson is almost as good as Jeff now...maybe the pupil will outshine the teacher..
  • they are all good drivers but i say
    1.Tony Stewart
    2.Jeff Gordon
    3.Jimmy Johnson
    4.Kyle Bush
    5.Denny Hamlin
    6.Mark Martin
    7.Carl Edwards
    8.Jr
  • Mark Martin
    Jr
    Stewart
    Gordon
    Newman
    Johnson

in this order, now I am a die hard Jr fan and love him to death, but Mark can out drive him most of the time.
  • I'm still.. sticking with Jeff Gordon !! I think, him being that babies daddy... has slowed him down a half step? But the dude IS... still is a smart driver I think.
  • Dale Jr.
    Tony Stewart
  • Matt Kenseth!
  • Giancarlo A. Should we all block him?

    May be...

  • Errr, Dan, he didn't try to steal anything from you.
It was so obvious it was obviously meant as a joke.
    Or perhaps being ironic.
But I guess or hope you're joking too.
Other than that I see no reason.
And Tilly you've given as nothing to work with.
I browsed back to the latest questions and the only thing I didn't like was that he got a thumbs down in all his answers and it seemed undeserving, to me at least.
Tell me it wasn't you because I don't get it.
    Maybe I'm missing something.

    EDIT:
    "Maybe I'm missing something".
Well, I was, but if Tilly had been more informative it would have saved me the embarrassement.
    Shame on you Tilly.
Yes, he does copy and pastes answers, just me going blind I guess.
I did leave my initial "input" in though so that your answer will make some sense Cavalino.
  • maybe we could block him or just ignore him... best is just ignore him... maybe report him (Val wont even say report him... coz she never reports... )hehehehe...
well we almost know everybody here in F1 Y!A i think so..."almost"
  • yeah why not... he tried to steal my answers to Julian's quiz!!!!
  • christos you should really read more of his answers. That was not the first time he copy pasted answers. I think we could block him, we could just ignore him.. but blocking him would stop him from getting the attention he seeks.
  • WHO'S THAT?
  • The cheeky monkey!
  • I don't think i've noticed anyone by that name on here but i don't really bother to read other answers anymore. There have been a few user popping up over the last 12 months or so that have done the same thing, it's probably the same person making up different accounts as quickly as they get suspended.
  • Ok dale jr fans?

    May be...

  • The way i see it is Kyle legitimately passed Dale, and had all the right in the world to stay were he was.. Jr boy decided he wasn't gonna concede his line and contact was made.. Dale came down, Kyle got a little loose, these guys are racing to win and with a few laps to go you gotta get a little crazy sometimes.. Forget about it .. come back next week and see what happens
  • Kyle will get his in the end. What goes around comes around.
  • it's real simple, junior was taking the scrub to the woodshed, leaving him in dust, so busch's teammate had to stop on the track to bring out a caution and help his teammate catch up. and then it was still clear junior was going to win, so kyle busch did the only thing he could to keep from being embarrassed on the track by a better driver, he turned his wheels to the right (larry mac's words ) and wrecked him. or maybe he didn't see junior, maybe his ears blew in front of his face so he couldn't see. but don't worry, busch will get his in the end, hopefully in the chase when it really matters.
  • Give it a rest man. Please...
  • upset, hek 3 4 3 on my Q in this ctagory been deleted, sure would like to know who doesnt like me, DALE JR HATERS, all yall ....... we just have to move on!!!
  • Jr needs to show some emotion dealing with this stuff. He is always playing mr. nice guy bc of all the scrutiny he gets from the media. For once he should say how he really feels and tell kyle that he sucks and will get his.
  • as you know iv been going on about how iv been upset with saturday nights race so tell what do yall think of this is this fair or was i wrong for it check this link out

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXUliYlzF...
  • Interesting.

That's probably the only way Jr could beat Busch, is in a video game.
  • Some of you act as if a bunch of people began to hate Kyle Busch overnight. Wake up! He has no respect. Every one of you should be offended by this guys attitude and style of driving. He needs to grow up.
  • You are having lots of fun with this...Its time we all put it to rest, both Dale Jr and the little Scrub have put it to rest, they are over it, lets move on to Darlington, the track thats too tough to tame, the lady in black with take care of any scrubs that get in her way..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • At some point, before Darlington, you need to let that whole incident go. How will you enjoy this weekend's race if you are still clinging to last weekend's race?

Dale Jr. and Kyle are over it. Now, it's the fans turn.
  • Why did you spin out Casey Mears?
  • ok how's this for a dose of reality from NASCAR.com:
Where was the outcry, though, when Earnhardt dumped Busch last October in Kansas?

That accident in the early laps of the third Chase race effectively ended Busch’s title hopes, dropping him from 10 points out of the championship lead to sixth in the standings, 136 out.

But there was no backlash against Junior, who ran all over the back of Busch that day in an accident far easier to assign blame than Saturday night’s little love tap. Earnhardt didn’t need an escort out of the track, wasn’t subjected to dangerous threats on message boards and most certainly wasn’t held to the same scrutiny Busch is currently under.

And he escaped widespread blame again in the season finale, when Earnhardt drove through the grass entering pit road and cut off Busch in his frantic dart back onto the surface. The damage to Busch’s front-end ensured he wouldn’t finish third in the final season standingsвЂ"denying Hendrick Motorsports the 1-2-3 points sweep it had been seekingвЂ"and caused him to close his Hendrick career with a disappointing 20th-place run.

Granted, being NASCAR’s most popular driver affords Earnhardt an ardent fan base convinced its driver never does anything wrong. So it’s rather easy to bash Busch and blame him for robbing Junior of what could have been an easy victory if Busch had dutifully lifted off the gas and conceded the win to the crowd favorite.

But that’s not how racing works, and most certainly not what Joe Gibbs Racing is paying Busch to do this year.

Given a day to think about it, Earnhardt arrived Monday at Lowe’s two-day test session reluctant to dissect the Richmond incident any more. He admitted the circumstances have been reversed before, and casting blame on Busch wasn’t the right thing to do.

“I took him out at Kansas last year during the Chase. That’s really why I wouldn’t be any more vocal or angry about it, because I would just be hypocritical in that sense,” Earnhardt said. “We both kind of been on each side of it now.”

    Let it go people
  • oh wow um get a life
  • Junebug and Wild Thing both showed a lot of maturity in dealing with it. Unfortunately many "fans" in HaterNation have yet to show ANY maturity.
  • Seriously! Jr. just experienced something called KARMA! He's dished out the same thing he got MANY times! Did he and all his fans not think he'd be on the receiving end eventually?
  • sexy

  • Indianapolis Speedway...?

    May be...

  • Since its privately owned they don't offically release either figure. Yes it used to be filled every year for the Indy 500 before the open wheel series split.

Its believed to have over 250k seats and has room for another 150k in the infield.
  • How many people does the Indianpolis Speedway (the track they hold the Indianapolis 500 on) hold? What is maximum capacity and has the race track ever hit maximum capacity?
  • How many Jr. fans think that he needs to stop being such a "nice guy" all the time??

    May be...

  • he knows kyle obviously took him out, but he's too stubborn to admit it... I doubt he will ever man up and say he was ever intentionally wrecked
  • So according to americanmade he should start driving like Kyle does and not give up track and do what needs to be done to win races.
Wow what a revelation. You mean everyone can do it but Kyle?
As for Jr admitting he was intentionally taken out.....are you for real? He is one of the biggest crybababies in the sport. "I had the car to beat and he didn't like it" how many times you heard that come out of his mouth. Or the promo for MRN race day radio that quotes Jr as saying "I don't think I can express my feeling on public radio"
Come there shadow nation. He is a marketing ploy, he is a name. He hasn't won in 2 full years cause he is not the god you all make him out to be.
  • He could end his 2 year winless streak easily if he would be a little more aggressive in driving out there. Didn't he inherit any driving abilities from his father or just all of the fans?
  • I'm in with those who think it's nice he takes the high road. But even taking the high road, it was painful to watch the interview after the race.
  • I don't feel that he is such a nice guy.....He just dosen't place blame for stuff that is gonna happen....he is aware that stuff isn't always gonna go his way......Now if there is no question that someone puts him in the wall, he will say that.....he has done that in years past......He is his own man, and he dosen't care what people like or dislike about him.

    Go Jr and JRMotorsports!
  • i with that, i think he should have kicked his a##
  • Jr. is a nice guy all the time it's who he is you can't change that or want to. You know with that comes respect and he is the better driver because of it. You can't change for the sake of changing stay true to yourself and stay in control
  • Anything he "coulda, woulda, shoulda" said or done after the race wouldn't make the situation any better. Probably only worse. I was glad to see, as usual, Jr stay calm and held his head up. I'm sure he wanted to confront Scrub, but that probably would have resulted in fines/suspension/loss of points.

Jr was the better man...although when Scrub is concerned, it's not hard to be.
  • I DONT SEE A PROBLEM, UNLESS HE LOSES RACES CAUSE OF IT, THEN HE NEEDS TO START KICKING BUTT!
  • I'd like to see Dale Earnhardt Jr. do the same things Dale Earnhardt Sr. use to do to win, even if it means making enemies.
  • I think he should start racing like his father!!!!! I like JR & he needs to start kicking butt!!!!!

    ****EDIT*****
No I DID NOT say to race like Kyle!!!!! I said like HIS FATHER!!!!!! Can you read???!!!!!!!!
  • What a classy interview he gave after the race. He sure could have ripped Wreckless Busch a new one, but left it alone. Good job Dale!

Just the opposite can be said about wreckless, he just had to harp on one of Earnhadrt's crew for coming to his pits and talking to him about his poor driving. Saying he WAS a good friend of his, but not now.... He is lucky he made it out of there unharmed!
  • I think he has a good approach to his ultimate goal of winning the championship. Nothing he could have done, after the fact, concerning Kyle would change the outcome of what happened. Just because he took the high road and didn't blast Shrub after the race doesn't mean he won't pay him back sometime. Just because Jr showed some self restraint doesn't mean he's being too nice of a guy.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • I wonder if he would have as many fans if he quit being a "nice guy". I think this quality endears him to many fans. Personally I'd like to see him get angry with Kyle Busch for wrecking him at Richmond.
  • first off I would like to see him be a guy and not a cry baby.
  • i belive he should i mean jr has took alot of crap the past few years and has not done anything about it and with wht happened to jr sat. he should have spoke up because wht bush did was uncalled for he should have not pushed as hard as he did and he should have not have gotten into jr he should have spun off the track to be honest with u i can not stand bush the way he races makes me sick but yes jr needs to step up and say some words to those who screw the race over for him
  • He probably could do with a little of his father in him.

Sr. probably would of beat the hell out of Busch for that.
  • Well it all depends. If he's not a wat u call "Nice Guy" then he could end up getting penalized and points taken away. He's doing the right thing by not going off and getting angry.
  • FIRST CASUALTY TIEBREAKER: Who do you want him to be?

    May be...

  • The time has come for DC to retire, it has to be David Coulthard.
  • hami baby - uve been voted out!!
  • In first casualty I asked you guys (and gals) to pick your least favourite driver. And I got a tie between these drivers. Pick your least favourite driver from this list

    Fernando Alonso
    Lewis Hamilton
    David Coulthard
    Nelsinho Piquet

    Remember, pick ONE only. Thanks
  • David Coulthard. He should go so that younger drivers have a chance!
  • Coultard
  • this is so wrong. those men are all just out there doing their best but because their racing style or team may not suit you you want them to die?
  • Hamilton
  • David Coulthard
  • Fernando Alonso
  • If you were on the list, I would pick you without hesitation.

EDIT: Well maybe you should choose your words better.

I'm very happy with the drivers on the grid. If I was to throw out one driver it would never be one of those, those are good drivers. They are either champions or have challenged for the championship, except for Nelsinho but he's a rookie.

I would probably pick Sutil as the worse driver on the grid right now. He's no longer a rookie and did a bad job against Fisicella, if he can't handle Fisico then he can't challenge Kovy/Alonso so he's not up to the level of a world champion.

The word retirement comes to mind. That's as interesting as a nursing home but you can't choose a word like casualty specially in the wake of Kovy's crash.
  • Why there are so many Fords and Chevy in Nascar than there is Dodge and Pontiac?

    May be...

  • cuz there is only 2-3 dodge teams and no pontiacs.
  • Because they're the heartbeat of America and built Ford tuff, buddy.
  • Pontiac doesn't race in nascar no more. Fords and Chevy cars are easy to get and cheap for independant owners.
  • Why are there so many Fords?
    no idea

    Chevy's?
    they run well

    no Pontiacs?
GM didn't wanna compete with itself.
    (bummer, lottsa Pontiac fans)

    Not a lot of Dodges?
They're there, just not as much factory support, probably because they were run by Mercedes till about a year ago.
  • As mentioned, Pontiac left because GM only wanted to fund one make. And, there are more Dodges than Fords.

    Fords: 8

  • Ford has always been out numbered !! And mostly.. out classed !! Ford has been up against either a Super Sport Monte or Impala for quite a few years now !! Our last hope was with the T-bird, back in the 90's !! But... We hold our own
    more or less !!
  • Pontiac exited nascar in 2003, 2 years after dodge came in(2001)

they won the championship with tony stewart in 2002 and bobby labonte in 2000.

Toyota is now the 4th manufacture and is growing in nascar. Chevy and Ford have pretty much dominated the sport since the 80s. They are the 2 top car manufactures in america and in nascar.
  • Is it that the rivalry With Ford and Chevy had made 2 manufactures get so much drivers so which ever car company can get the advantage of winning with the more drivers dring their car.
  • Pontiac went out of the sport the year that dodge came in. Fords and Chevies have been racing in Nascar for years and they are just keeping it up.
Dodge was in Nascar in the 70's but then stopped racing. Came back again in 2001. Dodges haven't run very well for a while now. With the exception of the first two years after it came back and a couple of drivers (Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch), dodges haven't been very competitive race in and race out.

  • Wasn't Hammond great?

    May be...

  • yes
  • Those Commentators on Fox are Great they are Racers and they know what they are talking about.
  • Yes, it takes quite the genious to figure out that 1000 degrees is hot enough to cook on.
  • Hammond is always cool, he's fun to watch and he knows what he is talking about..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Ummm, that wasn't a brake drum, he heated a standard cooking pot up to half the temperature of the brake drums. I think the heat meter was at 456 degrees.
Remember how he put water in first and none ran out but just boiled. How he put the burger right in the center and it didn't fall through?
  • KYLE BUSCHS EARS
  • yeah, that was a pan, not a brake drum. Hammond is funny though.
  • those guys are great, I'ld eat it!
  • Didn't you just love his hamburger cooked in the brake drum?
What can u cook in ur brake drum?
  • Has anyone listened to Kyle Busch's press conference after the race?

    May be...

  • I like Jr. and dislike Busch very much, but even Jr. said the same thing Busch said, if he was going to wreck him on purpose, he had other great opportunities. As furious as I was after it happened, it was a racing deal. It would have been especially stupid to wreck anyone, especially Jr., after last nite's comments, when he said he'd wreck as many cars as he had to, talking about Steven Wallace. It's just how Busch races, he's on the edge all the time, and when you're on the edge it's easy to go over. Hopefully this race quiets some of the Jr haters that say he isn't good enough to win. I know he didn't, but he very well could have, and should have.
  • so i guess that anytime kyle runs somebody up the wall it is unintentional.he is a young hothead.he needs to learn his place
  • He flat out said that if he was going to wreck Dale Jr delibrately he would had waited and done it on the final lap so he could have won the race.

What a jerk. He's such a little prick.
  • I agree Kyle is a jerk and a prick, and honestly I'd love to see someone do to him from the scene in Days of Thunder where Cole after losing the race, came out and slammed right into Russ Wheelers car. Granted there would be a fine and loss of points, but Kyle needs to have his ego knocked down a BUNCH of notches.

I can't stand either of the Busch brothers, they are both way to damn cocky.
  • I'm a Jr. fan and don't have a whole lot of respect for Kyle but he makes a good point. I do not think it was intentional. Just overly aggressive and possibly stupid. Hey JBM. Quit generalizing about Jr. nation. It's ignorant. And he never said he was a Jr. fan. That's an assumption on your part. Ever break that word down? Hey jopav. I love the feminine hygeine reference! I'm still giddy.
  • kyle busch is an idiot. Boycott MM's, Snickers, and all the other sponsors. Send them letters telling them so. If their are no sponsors he will not last for long being a spoiled little jerk. He tried to wreck wallace after a "racing deal" last night and he wrecked Jr. tonight. He may be good, but sucks about getting fan support and races like a snake.
  • "IF" he were going to deliberately wreck him, it wasn't an intentional act..
    Go Kyle!!!!!
  • We are not blind, people are blind that could not see that Kyle wrecked Jr on purpose, his own words, he wreck someone to win...,he should be fined and suspended for like the next 3 races......why should he be any different when he does this....drivers can do it by accident and get suspended, he said he would do it, and the idiot did it.

Kyle is a selfish stupid driver, ask his fans, he is rude to them, and wont sign autographs for kids, he walks away.

yes, he did say at his conference he would wreck anyone to win......

and whoa Tonto, Kyle said he thought Jr would give way and take second so he did not let up and slid up and hit Jr, that is not an accidental got loose.....what a joke....he admitted he hit Jr........
  • I'm NOT part of Jr Nation.... but wrong is wrong, and the douche bag Kyle is very, very wrong.
  • Hey JBM, you worthless trash. You say we are blind? Did you happen to see Kyle's wheels turned right?? if you are drifting up in a corner, you should be going left. I guess it was the drag by Kyle's ears that did it.
  • What press conference did you watch? The one on Fox had Kyle being very apologetic that it was hard racing and Junior deserved a good run. Junior on the other hand said Kyle will need extra security. Will NASCAR fine or penalize Junior for threatening Kyle that way? I used to think Junior was a classy guy, but I lost some respect for him after that childish comment.
  • He said IF man, IF!!! It was an accident... why do you people from the junior nation have to be so blind?

PS. please change your name its mean.
PPS Wild Bill they are blind did you see the new nascar poll that should prove my point
  • Well, I'm sure from the time that ALL of it happened to the end of the race, he had an EARFUL!!!! He probably was told NOT to win the race, because of the backlash!!! He had to watch his mouth, unlike how he acted at the Nationwide race. Sorry, I sound sour because of how he has reacted in the past!!! I lost a TON of respect for the dude, he is a good driver!! The NNS started me off and then the race with Jr. just closed it!!! I saw hard racing but I replayed it and replayed it, and his rear wheels were gripped, not loose!!! Maybe you can say I'm going blind, whatever, but I see those front tires turning right to bang!!! Look what Chris Meyers, D.W., and Jeff said FIRST!!! Then they sugar coated it to calm the situation!! That would have been worse than Jeff Gordon winning at Talledega back before, if Busch would have won this Richmond race!!! I think it has nothing to do with it being Jr.!!! It would have been the same reaction!!!
  • I'm not in the Junior Nation, my driver is Kurt Busch (who is too busy repairing his image to drive like he used to, to get those wins) but I clearly saw it on my DVR after rewinding over & over that that Rowdy did not spin out Jr. intentionally, he got loose and had no other alternative than to turn right to try & get his car straight, it was just a case of two good drivers driving their a$$es off to get that win... don't feel too bad though they still get paid their millions of dollars to race and go home happy while the rest of us minimum wage people fight over how they drive and what they should have done. Another thing too, Kyle is 1st in the points, Jr. is 3rd, that should make you happy, my driver is 24th because he won't drive like he used to when he was with Roush because he's too pre-occupied with what people think of him.
  • you said it perfectly! so either way he says he'd wreckim in final lap, means any lap! PS love your name!!! n all the Jr haters only hate him cause he's so damn popular, & his gear is top sellin. & on espn news they show a replay over n over, it looked like kyle turned his wheels right so he'd get jr out of the way.
  • He would have been jumping up and down if he had done it on the last lap and won the race. He is a little spoiled prick. He needs to grow up and admit when he has done wrong and not blame others all the time. It is the type of driver he is because he goes all out and doesn't care who he wrecks. He has dumped his own brother before. Better watch out grandma, you will get run over by a Busch and not a reindeer.
  •
