May be...

amex india
  • i think he'll most likely be back to his old self
    TOP 5
  • top three. i think he'll win it, but i'll say top three.
  • I think Kyle will get a top 10. He doesnt stay down for too long.

I hope the hurricane spares the people in the NE. I hope it just peters out over the ocean.
  • 26th,1 lap down.
  • Hurricane Kyle-hopefully NASCAR's Hurricane Kyle kicks some major (bleep)
    I don't know where he'll finish.

Go get em' oh Rowdy one!!!
  • Hopefully he will have better luck than he did today in the Nationwide race, I say he gets a top 10..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Top ten or top five
  • LAST
  • LOL, kinda ironic. I think he'll finish top 5 in the cup race. He's bound to catch up!

  • Hopefully far enough back to teach him a little humility.
  • there is a hurricanethat is coming to New England(Maine) named Kyle.

    ironic?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080927/ap_o...
  • yea, who would've thunk it.

anyways, i hope he doesn't win.

better off not in the top 10.

  • dead last!
  • Honestly Empress!
Can we tell where Kyle will finish before the actual race?
    No..

    But!!!
I think he has a chance to win it..

------> You could've asked our opinion instead of asking up if we know...
  • He was only 31st fastest in Happy Hour and hasn't shown much speed all weekend. So unless they are hiding something for Sunday I'm going to guess 14th - that's bearing no mechanical failures or anything.
  • If you could choose which tracks to run the COT and the COY...?

  • Talladega or Daytona?

    May be...

    excursion ford rental
  • Daytona
  • I like them both the same. Reasons: A. The Big One B. Close racing C. Drafting
  • I can't decide. I'll just say Daytondega.
  • Dega....too unpredictable...no one's safe. You can go from zero to hero in a lap and vice versa. Gotta love it!!!
  • Talladega
  • Both have certain appealing factors Daytona has the biggest and first race of the year to look forward too but Dega makes my heart bound! Just the draft and the overall excitement of what can happen and usually does makes me watch it through my fingers that are usually covering my face!
  • LOVE EM BOTH BUT DAYTONA JR 14 WINS OR SO AND THE DAYTONA 500 IS THE BEST TRACK IN THE WORLD
  • 'Dega..
    More exciting..
    Bigger wrecks...
More room for 3 or 4 wide racing...
Everything is more on drafting then handling...
It should be called the Talladega 500...
  • 50/50 Normally I say Dega, I'm in the Daytona kinda mood right now.
    So Daytona..
  • I love them both but I have to say for me Daytona edges Dega slightly just because of the history surrounding the place, the fact that it's the closest track to me, and it has produced some of the greatest moments in Nascar's history.
  • Beach / highway course at Daytona. Ah, the good old days when racin' was fun.
  • Talladega all the way!
  • I like the racing at Talladega better but to say any other track but Daytona would be sacrilegious.
  • Dega..do not get me wrong love Daytona but Talledega is the best racing ever..been to both races and just have to pick "Dega"
  • I have to go with Daytona, because I like the night race at it, and Jamie McMurray won there.
  • Daytona.
  • Daytona only because I've been to a few races. Never been to Talladega, always mean to go.
  • Dega. Daytona used to be cool and still is, but the COT has brought the racing down everywhere except for Talladega. That's the only place where I get somewhat excited during a race.
  • Too hard to pick one so I'll choose both. Both are historic and great tracks.
  • Bristol is my fave
    but both are nice
  • I like them both.
But if I had to choose. I would say Talledega!
  • although daytona is so historic talledega is better
  • Talladega !!!!!!!!

  • There good
  • I THINK the 19 looks good
    the 33 sucks
  • Here are a few ew ones for 2009:
    http://www.thesundayhauler.com/store/mot...
What do you think of the #33? The #19 doesn't look as cool...
  • 33 is really cool
  • I think Tony's is the best.
  • i like Jeff Burton's car.
  • The 33 is kinda bland to me.I like that Jeff Burton is getting the Caterpillar sponsorship next year;it reminds me of when Ward drove with that sponsor and the paint scheme is pretty cool;I still like the current paint scheme better'though.Tony Stewart's car looks HORRIBLY RIDICULOUS!! The Office Depot primary isn't too bad,but the Old Spice one is ugly;what is up with the silver crap on the side?I like Elliott Sadler's Stanley Tools paint scheme, but I think it would look better if they put a little more emphasis on the flames, but not too much, because it would look like Gordon's scheme.I have never like the Aflac paint scheme on Carl Edwards' car.
  • The 19 looks much better then the 33. The 33 needs a update.

The 11 is lookin' good as always.
  • uh uh. I think the 19 with black and yellow is way cooler than the 33 pink and yellow. I like the flames on the 19.

I guess it's a matter of taste. Black is daring..it says "watch me take off and fly"...
The pink and yellow is girly...it says "watch me jump rope".

The 33 will be good for October cancer Awareness month though.

  • I like Jeff Burton's #31 CAT car. Odd how he ended up with his older brother's former sponsor.
  • Me likies the Carhartt #17... and I do like the #19! The #33 is okay... I'm more excited for the Hamburger Helper design...
  • wtf i don't know how to navigate on that!
  • They all look really nice. I like the new Tony Stewart one though, that one looks extremely good.

I like the # 33 but I am still upset that Cheerio's left Bobby. (and I kind of liked the blue better than the pink).

And the # 19 looks really cool too.
  • Jamie's car looks like it's a different shade of blue. I like it, but I wanna see the Crowl Royal design.
  • Glad to see someone giving The Sunday Hauler some love... Thats the best place for ordering diecasts on the internet...

  • Joe Nemechek, he has been in alot of wrecks lately and when you get into one of those type gooves its hard to pull out of.
  • kyles gonna either wreck or have mechanical problems or an engine failure like hes had the past 2 races

COME ON KYLE LETS MAKE IT 3!!!
  • Why Kyle of course :)
  • your favorite driver, becuase you asked this question

    (watch and see)
  • Joe Nemechek. He seems to be wrecking a lot.
  • why?
  • Joe Nemechek
  • Which Nascar drivers talk the most on the radio during a race ?

    May be...

    toyota maintenance required
  • Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus are always cackling on the radio and making retarded comments to each other. They do everything short of stroking each other off, on the radio.

Another one that talks a lot is Elliott Sadler. However, he doesn't sound gay when he talks.
  • That's kinda hard to say, probably Carl Edwards, Dale Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch. I do know one thing, they catch some pretty funny stuff from driver's and also some pretty bad stuff. Such as Busch calling his car crap or a piece of junk, or when Clint Bowyer called Michael Waltrip the "worst driver in nascar", also they just recently made a huge deal out of a radio communication between Dale Jr. and Tony Eury, Jr. I think Jr. was right, for the record....GO JR.!
  • DALE EARNHART AND HIS CREW CHEIF
  • probably Dale Jr.
  • I am not sure who talks alot now, maybe Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson. But before he retired, Rusty Wallace was on the radio EVERY LAP. And he still likes to hear himself talk now on TV......lol
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson all come to mind

Do you think that Jeff Gordon will NOT win a race this year?

    May be...

    lynn pahl northwest airlines
  • I am going to say he will win one this season. I just know it. I bet it will be the last one, Homestead. That would be nice because then he would realize that all the figuring out he did all year with the COT paid off.
  • They could definitely use a break or 2. Earlier in the year he was running up front and contending but that big wreck at Vegas? hurt him and he had some bad luck in a couple of other races. I would not bet against the 24 team winning a race or even 2 yet this year but they will have to find a little something extra they haven't been showing us lately. With a bunch of great tracks for Jeff coming up (Atlanta, Texas, Martinsville, Phoenix and especially Talladega) he will have some good chances to get into victory lane.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Okay, as head of Jeff Gordon fans.. and Gordon's #1 fan...
I've got a say in this...
People, people...if you truly knew Jeff Gordon
You'd know Martinsville and Dega are coming...
And then if you knew more..
You'd know he's got the most and actively most wins at both of those tracks..
And if you knew more, as a true fan like me knew, you would know that he's got 7 wins [7 people!!!] at M'ville and 6 [6 people!!!] at Dega...
And if you knew Gordon even more, you'd know that he almost caught Hamlin in the Spring race had there been 2 more laps....
And if you knew EVEN more, you'd know he's had a top 5 [Actually, Top-3] car in all of the last 3 races...
    That is awesome....

And it all twists and turns to the final though...
Dammit, yes, Jeff Gordon will win a race before and after Homestead!!!!
    Bottom!! Line!!!
  • I think Jeff Gordon will win a race before Tony Stewart.
  • lol, i immideatley thought of bill oreilly when i read the "what say you, nascar nation?" i think he will win one this year, nothing more nothing less. even though im not a fan i still dont wanna see him go winless.
  • I think he can get one before the year is out.
  • Reallistically with the way the team has run this year I say he will not win a race this year. However, with Jeff Gordon behind the wheel he is capable of winning on any given weekend but for some reason he has just missed the setups on a variety of race tracks this year.

The only two tracks where he will be considered to win are Talladega and Martinsville. He has won at Talladega 6 times and at Martinsville 7 times which is more than any other active driver at both of those tracks. Plus earlier this year he had a chance to win Talladega and jumped out of line with two laps to go while running 2nd and was shuffled out of the draft. Had the Martinsville race been about 5 laps longer he would have won that race because he was the fastest car on the track the last 10 laps and had the fastest car throughout the race but ended up 2nd. Hopefully he can win a race because I would like to see him continue that streak
  • I think so and kinda hope so. It will show he isn't invincible.

    Go Joey & Denny
  • yes i think he will just because he has had a not so great season doesnt mean he wont be able to pull out one win i mean look at last year he had 6 or 7 winnss go 24
  • i shook my magic 8 ball and it says no he wont win lmao
  • Lynn Im going to have to say no on this one. The #24 qualifies well but falls off after the race starts kinda like his teammate has done this year. They just haven't put it all together this year. Im not hating(I don't do that) but to me anyway that's the way I see it.
  • I hope so and he has 8 races left to do it in. he came close a few times...I still see him pulling at least one off. It does seem odd that he has NO wins. And it isn't that his mind is "elsewhere" either...he's had poor setups and even poorer luck. I'd like to see a win.

So I think that he WILL.
  • Well he has 8 more times. But I seriously dont think it looks good for him this year.
  • I'm still keeping my hopes up...
  • I doubt it
  • Dam straight he won't win this year. And thank god maybe this will put doubts in his head and he will retire.
  • Wow!!! That's a pretty impressive statistic there..
I like Jeff all right, not my favorite, far from my least. Every driver needs to go through a dry spell, right? Maybe it's his turn.
    Don't hate me Gordon fans, he's a decade over-due!!
  • I wouldn't totally rule him out but the forecast is looking gloomy.
  • I would be soooooooooooo sad if he did not win this year!!!!
He has won every year since he started!!! He is my favorite nascar driver ever!!!!! I love him!!!! He will come back and win the chase this year just wait!!!
  • I got my Magic 88 Ball at K-Mart and it said, "Within 4 races Jeff Gordon will get the checkered flag. This message has been brought to you by Hendrick Motor Sports." Ball also noted that Talledega may be in danger of a copyright infringement as a "Junior Achievement," but that is just good business.
  • great question Lynn, It's not looking very good right now for him but I keep thinking that things will turn around for him and that he'll get at least on win before the season is over, it's just a little weird not to see him in victory lane!
  • Since 1994, he has won at least 2 races per year.
    http://www.racing-reference.info/driver?...
I can't believe that he will go winless. What say you, NASCAR Nation?
  • Good question. The 24 team has sure struggled. I'd say yes he should win one of the final eight. If I was a betting man I would bet he wins at least one.
By the way, I've never been a fan of him. I'm a realist.
  • Well it is tough to say. My best friend is a JG fan and he is worried too. He thinks that the chase and the fact he is now a daddy has taken the hunger away from jeff. But he is hopeful and so am I not just for my friend but for the team.
  • No. I truly believe he'll win a race before the end of the season. I hate to say it but Talladega is on the horizon. Traditionally an Earndardt stronghold, but Jeff has made his notch at the behemoth.
  • Well it's not looking to good so far.
  • The way that team is racing as of right now, I would have to say he will go winless in 2008( sorry 24 fans ). But i wish the 24 and 20 would each get a win this year. I've never been a gordon fan but i'd pull for him anyday before the 48 or 88. So good luck jeff and tony, i hope one of ya'll wins the cup.
  • well hes got 8 more tries
  • I think it's going to be hard for him to, but he has a couple really good tracks for him coming up. Martinsville and Degaare both places he has a shot at, as well as Charlotte. But, again, it's going to be hard for him to get it done this year.
  • I hope so.
  • Interesting question...right now it doesn't look like he will but a lot of things have sure changed the Chase around a whole lot. He still has a chance. Honestly, I hope he does. I like him, it's just he's not one of my favorite drivers. He has had an awesome career. JMO

  • I thought your surgery was coming up soon. I will be thinking about you tomorrow and I will certainly be keeping you in my prayers hun. Take care & a speedy recovery to you.

I am going to be home watching the race vegging on the couch since Saturday i am going to the Renaissance Festival and that day is a very long one & the parties afterwards are even longer. It's a lot of fun though.

    Good Luck Storm.
  • I'll be glued to the tube.

Just remember, the gophers are getting worse so hurry up and get well soon. There was actually one standing in your front lawn singing "I'm alright, nobody worry about me". LOL (caddy shack)
  • Probably sleeping. I don't like Kansas, a prime example of a cookie cutter track if there ever was one.

I hope you go through your surgery okay, we'll be think about you.
  • Nothing special - just hanging out and watching another hopefully great race.
Best of luck to you, Storm Bandit. We'll miss you and look forward to your return. My magic 8 ball says that you're going to do just fine! : )
  • I will just be at home watching it on the tv and praying that you will be ok !
  • Just kicking back.

And of course hoping all is well with you.

    Get better quick!!!!
  • I'll be at home again watching the race with my family!

*Storm good luck with your surgery and I will be praying for you and thinking of you, we will also miss you until you come back good luck!
  • I have to work as usual. I hope your surgery is a success.
  • I'm doing the same thing I do every race... parking my butt in front of the TV! Good luck with your surgery... sending lots of love and prayers... gonna miss you!
  • What are you doing for the Kansas race this weekend?

**I am going into kidney surgery tomorrow so I will be off line and in the Hospital until Monday September 29 and will probably be back on line form my lap top Tuesday.**

Enjoy your weekend and the races.

    -storm-
  • I'll be sitting just out of turn four in the grandstands. Bowlegged Snake says I am nuts. So, if you see some nutty girl with a mess of curly hair and a Jimmie Johnson shirt on waving at ya, that would be me.

Hoping you get to watch the race Sunday from your hospital bed. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  • Doing what I always do...when not at a race I'll be parked in my recliner in front of the TV. If the weather is OK I'll grill probably ham steaks and late corn, and I made homemade applesauce. Ham and applesauce. mmmmmmmm. But It looks like maybe rain for us.

(((((Storm)))))))))) I will keep you in my thoughts sweetie. and pray it all works out for you. <3 We'll miss you, the Yahoo Answers NASCAR Forum's own BANDIT!!!!!! <3
  • I have family coming in from out of town, but of course on Sunday they will be eating my chile, and watching the race on TV with me. My TV....!

Here's to a successful surgery and quick recovery for you, Storm Bandit!
  • I will pray for you and I hope you feel better.

I will be watching on tv as usual.

If I were you, I would talk the doctor into letting me leave Sunday before the race LOL! What's an extra 24 hours LOL!
  • I am going to work so I will miss half the race but I need to be guaranteed off for Talladega.

Good luck in kidney surgery. I will be thinking of you. Don't be nervous, everthing will be fine.
  • I'll be at my in-laws watching.

My heart goes out to you Storm, hope all goes well. Take care and speedy recovery, kay?
  • Aww, I hope everything goes smoothly and will say a prayer for you Storm. I will just watch it at home, flipping back forth to the Vikings game. I have to mix up my Jimmie and Viking's gear (Jimmie shorts and t shirt, Vikings socks, sweats and jersey). It looks a little goofy when I have BOTH hats on, one forward and one backward. I turn them around depending on whether I am watching the race or the game at that particular moment. I have a love/hate feeling about this time of the year. I love having my favorite sports going on at the same time but I don't like them going on at EXACTLY the same time. A Saturday night race or Monday night game makes for an ideal situation. Take care, I will be thinking about you.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Nothing special. I might go watch the race with my dad but nothing other than that.

Good luck on your surgery and get well soon.
  • Well Stormy I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope all goes well during your surgery and I hope to hear from you soon............

You could come down to the Sunshine State to recover if you like!

    :-)

Oh and to your question, watching it at home on my 60" plasma.

Sponsor for the #43 next year?

    May be...

    microsoft activsync
  • Why not the US Government?

If the government can bailout everyone else...why not Petty Enterprises too?
  • It seems I have been able to find alot of rumors about various teams, sponsor/driver combos for next year etc. But I am not hearing anything on the Petty camp. Which is concerning me being a Petty fan. I have already stopped buying Cheerios and everything affiliated with General Mills. But my question is.....have any of you heard anything about a possible sponsor for the 43 or 45 next year??? I have heard the scary rumor about Loomis being courted by Stewart-Haas which would be devastating to the Pettys a 2nd time. (He left late 90's to go to #24)
So how about it? Will I be able to support another sponsor next year or I am going to be wearing a blank Petty blue shirt next year????
Tell me what you think or heard!
  • If labonte sticks around for another year(doubt it) he deserves decent sponsorship which he will probably get.As for the 45 of kyle petty i can't see anyone in their right mind sponsoring a car for him to drive. The only chance the 45 will be sponsored is if they bench kyle

And of course loomis will leave if he has the chance(history always repeats itself)
  • something gonna happen since labonte decided to stay
  • Maybe STP will come back... I hope so!
  • who???
  • don't think it's been announced yet
  • No sponsor for the 43 car has been announced yet. I assume maybe one of the sponsors from the 45 car would jump to the 43?
  • According to this story Robbie Loomis says there will be no problem with Kyle being in a ride next year?
    http://autoracingsport.com/nascar/petty-...

Wouldn't Boston Ventures be their sponsor? or are they just partners? Looks like they'll have 2 cars for sure and maybe a third part time ride if nothing else.

  • "Simply Complicated" got it for you. Glad to see Brad get a shot. Just hate it's in the #25. That car has been jinxed for years. LOL!
  • a fifth car can run 7 races with a development driver
  • there is a stipulation in the rules that will allow a team to run a 5th car as long as it is for a non-regular Cup driver and is ran less than seven races during the season.

Brad Keselowski and the 25 car fulfil both of these requirements so its legit.
  • What are you talking about? Roush has 5 doesn't he? Plus, the 25 will only be a temporary car.
  • I am excited to see how Brad does in his 2 races for Hendrick but I thought teams could only have four cars. How can Hendrick run a fifth car?

    Thanks.
  • This is straight from a Yahoo article and I quote:
"Hendrick is allowed to enter a fifth car under a NASCAR rule that permits teams to use a rookie in up to seven races in a car that exceeds the current four-car cap".

  • This little cockroach is going to give it a 4-1/2.
Kyle has nothing to lose at this point, he can only go up from here.
He just needs to charge his way to the front, stay there at all costs, do whatever it takes.

How he's feeling post-race Dover and how he's feeling pre-race Kansas will not be the same thing. Yes, he sounded defeated after what happened to him, I won't deny that. But Kyle's a racer at heart, as soon as he has his skinny butt strapped into his car again, his only objective will be to win.

    Time to get Rowdy!!!!!

Biff has just as good a chance as Carl or Jimmie..
  • I think his chances on a scale of 1-10 are 3. I think Jimmie Johnson might win this week at kansas or if not he starts winning at charlotte and takes off from there I think carl will slip at talladega and Biffle will just start fading away after kansas.
  • I hope you get your Lamborghini also you might have a better chance of that happening that Rowdy does in winning the championship with this chase format. I'd say his chances are -2. I think Carl Edwards or Greg Biffle will win this. Nothing againist Jimmie Johnson, I'm old school here and I want Cale Yarboroughs record to stand. But I would love to see the nice one that no one is paying any attention to get hot, Jeff Burton sneak in there while no one is paying any attention to him..Racing is about luck, its either good or bad. Rowdy has seen his bad luck big time. But I bet he comes back to finish 6th.. At this point I'd love to see Dale Jr get hot, but I'd say right now its Carl or Da Bif. Don't forget to leave some nice snacks and treats for the reindeers when they deliever your Lambro.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • At this point it's probably a 3, but anything could happen. He'd pretty much have to be flawless, and if his cars hold up, there is always a chance. The only way I can see him winning is if he wins about half the chase races, and the top 5 or so guys in points have a bad race or two, but the chase makes it so hard to come back after 1 bad finish, and Kyle's had two. But, if anyone can do it it will be him, and I'll be cheering for him the whole time. I think he will be well seasoned to make a run at it in 2009 and use what has happened the 1st two races as motivation. I just wish his cars would have held together and he'd be right in the thick of things instead of on the outside looking in. I think he'll make a charge at the championship, though, but 200+ points is a lot to make up.
  • Mr. Lenny Santa will you bring me my own Nascar for Christmas?

If someone could make up a 210 point deficit (like Ky. Busch has now) and win the chase, Kyle Busch would be the only likely candidate. However, I feel it is too much for him to make up and I feel that he is holding hostility in about his car blowing up last week (understandable) and that hostility might make him susceptible to a crash (causing or getting caught up in one) or upcoming bad finishes. I am amazed at how well he did this year and what he has accomplished.

I love the Biff. He is just cool. Good for him for winning the last two weeks and shaking some things up.
  • I actually think if anyone can come from that far back it's Kyle. I give it a 5 for 50/50.
  • As much as I want to see Rowdy take the championship just for all the hard work he's done all year.....he needs to win at least three of these races to get back on top. That and those like Carl, Jimmie, and Greg need to do not so well. So I am going to say, I beleive he will win at least one...and i put him at 4th or 5th.

As for Greg...he's won two in a row...and this Kansas race is one he won last year. Sooo....things are looking pretty good for him.

You'll not see me scatter...I am right here...did it ever occur to anyone that Rowdy fans found someplace else to go? Someplace where there are fans of every driver and no trolling or bashing and a lot of fun and interesting comments??? Think about that for a minute when you think about who isn't here anymore or who is scarcely here.

  • 3....Giving the level of competition, I just don't expect him to come back from this. I can only imagine his disappointment after having such a great season, that mechanical failure took him out of contention.

It is good to know though, that if the chase did not exist he wouldn't have the points lead anymore. The points lead is now Carl Edward's, chase or no chase. At least nobody could say he was "scre*ed" out of any championship because of the chase.

The Biff is definitely made it known that he is "in" this thing. I do want to remind some people that the Kansas race last year was ended under caution do to "darkness". A win is a win, but he kind of snuck his way into that one. He did not have the dominant car that day, and got his lead because of a caution and fuel strategy.Bowyer and Johnson were hot on his heals, had better cars AND enough fuel. Biff did not. Who knows what might have happened since we lost the last twenty or so laps of the race. Not saying he won't win this weekend, but just saying it's not a given he will finish well because of domination at this track or anything.

With that being said, he could pull off the championship. His team has really stepped up their game of late.
  • I think that rowdy fans like us Jr fans always want to believe and they never lose hope (at least the real fans anyways) But I do not expect to see Kyle winning the championship I think it will come down to Jimmie and Carl and I'm pulling for Jimmie and the three peat. As for Santa sure I'll see him, he's got cookies to eat right? LOL

edit: I agree Biffle is coming on strong but I still believe that it'll basicly come down to JJ and Carl but who know anything can and probably will happen we might even see someone like Harvick sneak up and grap that championship!
  • 3. This Chase still belongs to Jimmie Johnson, it's completely his to lose. The first three tracks are usually very strong tracks for Roush, as is Homestead. But the meat of the schedule, races 4-9 are all Jimmie Johnson. I don't see anyone (as much as it pains me to say it, even Jr) coming from 5 place or lower to win this thing. And to say 4th place even has a chance is stretching it.

Biffle will not be a factor in as little as three weeks. Mark my words.
  • Ok, now that I have your undivided attention (you were wondering, "what the hell??".........I love the enthusiasm by Rowdy and the rest of the Kyle Busch faithful but I really expect to find Santa delivering the Lamborghini that I have been asking for before I see the #18 come back to win this championship. I just feel the level of competition is way to great and all of the stars and moons would have to line up with Venus for it to happen. On a scale of 1-10 I would have to say that his chances are -4..............What do you think and PLEASE try and be objective............Thanks and good luck Rowdy, I really think you will need more than Kyle's tremendous ability to win this. Also by his demeanor during his interview last week it is pretty apparent that he has given up................Oh and for the record, I really do respect his driving ability.
  • I don't celebrate Christmas!
  • I don't think he'll make it. The odds are too great against him. But that doesn't mean it's impossible. He has some good fans. Maggie gives excellent answers. Rowdy 18fan gives excellent answers when he's not arguing. But yes it's true Kyle needs to keep his head up. Anything can happen. The way his season has gone definitely should indicate that the impossible is possible for him.
  • One thing I learned about the Kyle Busch fans as compared to the Junior fans is: When Kyle Busch does bad his fans scatter like cockroaches. When Junior does bad his fans still hang around and are "in your face!" Junior nation is the force baby. I may see Santa Clause this year, but I promise to have some snacks for his reindeer.

  • Probably the most chilling for me, other than Dale, was just a week later, when Dale Jr. hit the wall in the same manner in about the same place just a week later at Rockingham. It was eerie to see a wreck look so similar, albeit at a slower speed.
  • other then we lost our beloved 3. RIP Dale Sr
  • For me it was Ryan Newman's 2003 Daytona crash. Completely lost the back axle during that flip. That was just after I started watching NASCAR & was beginning to be a Newman fan. I'll never forget that wreck.
  • Ryan Newman's wreck at the 2003 Daytona 500 when his car flipped down the tri-oval, tearing off the rear axle and shredding the car's body.
  • i remember more wrecks than who wins!!!!!!!!!
  • The other wreck that occured on that fateful day.

The wreck where Tony Stewarts car got flipped on top of Bobby LaBonte's.

I was soo scared, not as if it were the worst wreck I have ever seen. But as a 9/10 year old watching your favorite driver have another drivers car on top of theres it scared me.
  • Mikey's Bristol wreck.
  • When Jr and Steve Park wrecked at Pocono
  • After seeing #3s wreak I would have to say Michal McDowell's flip at Texas this year.
  • Yes, I will admit Dale Sr's is my most memorable. But I was at the 1970 Rebel 400 that crash Richard Petty walked away from was unreal I think he injured his shoulder, thank god for safety nets now. That Bodine truck crash at Daytona was a memorable one also..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • To me personally, Kyle Busch last year at Talladega.
  • the one at Daytona with Bodine in the Truck race back in 2000. Can't even watch it
  • Absolutely will never forget when #43 Richard Petty flipped and twirled violently against the fence during the Daytona 500 in the late 80's. My dad and I being huge Petty fans were shocked, scared, and saddened by the horrific looking crash. Thankfully he walked away to race another day. But I'll never forget that race. There's been tons of memorable crashes over the years but that one will stick with me.
    Just an opinion as always.
  • elliot sadler 2003 dega crash...it's my all time favorite because you know after it happened he walked away. Which when you look at it...it's amazing that he did.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p8YnkJ6-...
  • when tony stewart in his #33 old spice car in the busch race fliped up inj the air came crashing down on his hood, and rolled 6 times and flew up in the air again, and landed on his hood than fliped over to his wheels..... ...... thank god tony only wlaked away with a broken collar bone, and a dislocated shoulder!
  • For wrecks that i have seen in person... i would have to say when Busch flipped his car several times in back to back days on the back stretch at Talladega a couple of years back.. it was a wild ride for him and he tore up two race cars!
  • Still have to go with Mike Harmon at Bristol. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Worse then Mikeys.
  • This is only my second year watching NASCAR. Most memorable for me is Michael McDowell's flip at Texas this year.
  • Jeff Gordon at Pocono.... very hard and scary crash...

Jeff Gordon at Las Vegas... wow.. that was scary

    Good thing he was alright...
  • When Richard Petty wrecked at Daytona...banging the fence, then other cars hit him going about 180 mph. All that was left was the cage he sat in. No engine or trunk and he up and walked away. I think this was in 1974
  • maybe the wreck tbone talked about, but it was the truck race where the truck just disagrated, nothing left of it, and if im not mistaking to went up across the fence too, a pretty spectacular wreck
  • Jerry Nadeau at Richmond. It was practice and not highly televised, but unforgettable to me.
  • kyle busch, the aaron's 312 at talladega last year. others might have been bigger, worse, more awe-inspiring or more horrific in the past, but i watched (on tv) as that one happened, so it is most memorable to me.

as for one i didn't see when it happened, every time i see mikey crash at bristol in 1990 and his car ripped to shreds, i cringe.
  • Way too many to mention but these take the tops;
Bobby Allison at Pocono, broadside into drivers door ended his carreer.
Bobby Allison into the catch fence at Talladega, the fence did it's job.If that car had gone thru the fence into the crowd!
    Mike Harmon at Bristol.
Rusty Flipping at Talladega when he and Dale got together.
    Darrell Waltrips Pocono crash.
    Daveys Pocono crash.
The crash at Talladega when Jimmy Horton Went airborn over the wall between 1 & 2 and down the embankment,Stanley Smith received a fractured skull in this wreck..
  • mine was a crash dale senior had when his car flipped over. when the car was righted he got back in and it started, he drove it instead of being forced to go to the infield care center. i think that being able to continue in that race gave him the margin of points he won the championship by that year.
  • Davey Allison at Pocono. he flipped so may times i shook for a half hour.
  • when I stood at the altar , and said "I do"

    What happened to dale jr?

    May be...

    telestial sim
  • Blown r.r. tire
  • EWWWA!!!!! I hate dale Jr. He sucks and thats right he anit good as the other guys GO JIMMIE JOHNSON!!!! Back To Back Baby Report Abuse
  • It's called having a bad day like Greg Biffle before he started having good ones. Junior had a really bad series of runs before the Michigan recovery, the recently announced addition of Mark Martin to Hendrick may have the other drivers wondering who is going to be announced as dropped from HMS to create room and it is difficult to realize our favorite wheelmen tend to forget their obligation to fans to walk on water at every track. Just keep coming back, Junior is going to get another ride to Victory Lane.
  • First his car was crap then he blew a tire.
  • I taped the reace sunday (after suffering through the blackout and missing last week). what happened to jr. Why did he fall from 4th to 9th in points?
  • He had a tire blow out and then he fought a loose car all day. They started out with a good setup and after a little while struggled the rest of the day. He ended up going 2 laps down before it was over. They had plenty of cautions to work on the car and still couldn't get the ___ing thing to stay up front. The bad part about it is people like Michael Waltrip was having a better day. That just goes to show there is something wrong with them keeping up with the track. That problem has existed ever since Tony Eury Jr took over as Dale Earnhardt's crew chief back at DEI.
  • Because he isn't as good as the other guys trying to win the cup.

NASCAR does all they can to fix races for him - at some point he has to answer the call...............
  • How many of you NASCAR fans are redneck?

    May be...

    speech therapy school
  • yep sure are 100% redneck, I guess who cares we are all just 100% Nascar fans that's what makes us all so great!
  • Well if you define redneck as a person that likes: NASCAR, Country Music, and Pick-Up Trucks, then I guess I would be considered a redneck. But I dont really think that I would be categorized as a redneck personally.
  • I am, I'm the only redneck at my school
  • You might be a redneck if you watch Nascar as your Sunday sermon!
  • Define redneck.
  • What's the difference between a redneck and a hick? My best friends were in a heavy metal band, and I fit well into that scene, and i'm pretty much into hard rock. I was never a shade tree mechanic but worked on a professional level. I'm what they call a "motorhead". I'm not a redneck but I've probably partied with them before. I think I live too far north to be classified as a redneck. And I drink my beer out of a glass. But I did spend a lot of time in county.
  • I live in Wisconsin and definitely consider myself a northwoods redneck. I like to drink beer, hunt, fish and am the biggest NASCAR fan I know of in the area I live. My wife and I live in the country with our 2 dogs, on just over 11 acres. I have my "beater" truck, a dookie brown 1992 Ford F150. It's a plain jane regular cab, full box, manual transmission 4x4 that just oozes redneck (and a little oil). I did just put new tires on it today, though. I got 3 used ones from the junkyard for $43 (2 of them even match) LOL
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • I find being a redneck more a state of mind than a description. My state of mind is: Here I am in all my glory, take it or leave it. I have no need to impress you nor anyone else and even less desire to impress or be liked. I do what I want as long as it is not illegal or intentionally offensive. My dad, wife, daughter and grand kids like me and that is all I need. If people I meet like me that's gravy on my taters but I can live without gravy. I love NASCAR and secretly root for Jr. but Indy cars have better looking drivers.
  • I think I am more of a hillbilly than a redneck but from Storm Bandit's description I think I want to be "Mr Redneck!!!!!"
  • Okay...well, I'd say I'm semi-redneck.

I am an office professional, live in the country, drive a 2006 Sebring, like to fish, sit around the campfire, drink a few beers, watch the races every weekend. I love country music-well actually I like most every kind of music. I don't mind getting dirty...I like playing in the mud, hanging out on 4-wheelers, or riding in my hubby's pickup truck. The only exception I can see is the Confederate flag...I don't own one, and have no use for one...JMO tho. Other than that...I'm pretty much a country hick...maybe hick is the better word to describe me...LOL.
  • All Dale Jr fans are, so about 80%
  • Well I live in Southeast Louisiana ,I have a 82 Jeep CJ 8 Scrambler jacked up 18 inches in the air,a 99 GMC 2500 HD Turbo Diesel Ext cab truck with a bull guard on the front and a american flag on the back window ! I love to hunt ,fish ,drink beer, and watch Nascar so I guess I am a redneck !No let me change that a Cajun Redneck !
  • hell yeah i'm a redneck!!
  • not really
  • I know a lot are redneck. I've been to quite a few races. But I personally don't fit that category. I have a white collar job, don't drive a pick-up truck, don't listen to country music, and only drink imported beer if I drink beer at all. I like to camp, and I guess you could kind of define that as redneck, but I need an RV with full hookups or I don't camp.
  • I know that's a big stereotype of NASCAR fans. So how many of you are actually redneck? I know I am!
  • I wouldn't say redneck... we live in a nice house that I am anal about keeping clean, I drive a 2005 Pathfinder, I have a white collar job, and dress up for work every day. We live in North Carolina, listen to country music, and we have a pop up camper and enjoy camping and going to races and watch the race every week (or listen on the radio if we're not at home). And yes, I also like beer. Hubby likes to fish, hunt, camp, and also go to races. I dont think I'd call that redneck.
  • 110% of them.
  • I am who I am, no false pretenses here. What you see is what you get. I don't sugar coat anything I have to say and I have a heart as big as all outdoors. I'm country born n raised, still live there, I luv to be outdoors, fishing, camping or sittin' around a fire. I drive a pick up truck, like country music & classic rock. When I was able to work, it was a blue collar job so my answer is yes, I am a redneck. But keep one thing in mind, some of the greatest people you could ever meet in your lifetime are Nascar fans!
  • Listening to country music, hunting, having a pick-up truck and liking the confederate flag aren't the things that necessarily make you a redneck.

I'm not much of a country music fan, I prefer fishing to hunting, I do have a pick-up truck (actually it's my husband's) and I'm not from the south, so I'm not much of a confederate flag kinda person.
I can only speak for myself, this NASCAR fan's a redneck, and damn proud of it.
  • Good question. I never really counted, and I never figured if made a difference. But, I guess I am a redneck by choice. I don't live in the south, or racing country. I live in Cali. We have an '85 Bronco with a lift kit, 38" swampers, and switched out auto for manual tranny, and we love 4 wheelin'. Got a 2006 pick-up too. Biggest NASCAR fan I know, I fly flags out front, decals on my car too. I love country music, and good rock-n-roll too! My attitude is take me as I am, I am brutally honest, and if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question! My urban neighbors think I am a redneck....WOOO_HOOOO!

    *MOJO*
  • you obviously dont know me yet
  • Don't forget, When you move out to the mountains DON'T forget your Banjo.
  • Business woman and professional during the day who works in the City (dreaming of cars and nascar) but...

Heck yes, as soon as I get off work; the dress comes off, hair comes down--tank top and ripped jeans on for the drive home to the country where I live (4 car garage, 2 acres, 3 bedroom, 2 bath--garage being most important) and yes I have a pick up truck, 2 germans shepherds, a .22 and a confederate flag tacked up in my garage.)

I don't really consider myself anything but Storm (but I sure fit the 'definition' of redneck when I get off work!)
  • I'm too much of a "city slicker".

Well, maybe a "suburban slicker" instead...

I'd love to live in the rural areas. Life would be simple.
  • There are a lot of redneck fans but there are more non-redneck fans.
  • Well born and raised in new York state...lived here most of my life...

    But this speaks for me....ROFL

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAe6awI8K...
  • Hmm let's see my parents were born in NYC, I listen to metal, hardcore and punk, I drive a Chevy Cobalt, my wife drives a Kia Optima. When I do drink beer it's Guiness not Budweiser. I have nothing against hunting, but I have better things to do with my time than get up at the butt-crack of dawn to sit in a tree freezing my a*s off hoping to shoot a deer. So no I'm not a redneck, and despite what Jerry Dingleberry says I'm a Jr fan as well.
  • I fit some of the qualifications such as liking country music and trucks, and I live in VA, but I don't consider myself a redneck at all to be honest.
  • Do you think Dale Jr.'s problem is Tony Jr ?

    May be...

    windows mobile 2003 password manager
  • You can take the best crew chief ever known to NASCAR, put them with the best driver ever known to NASCAR, and if the two of them spend the entire 500 laps of a race arguing and bickering, it's not going to be a successful pairing.
Tony Eury's a good crew chief (not the best, but good)
Dale's a good driver (again, not the best, but good)
Neither of them are performing to their full potential while together.
Tony needs a driver that will respect him, and not consistantly over-rule his decisions.
And Dale needs a crew chief that has the stones to tell him to shut-up and drive.
  • I hate to say this but I think so I've been saying all along that he needs a different crew chief I know they are family and that makes it harder to change but I honestly believe that Jr would do a whole lot better with someone else, I love Jr but that's just my honest opinion!
  • i lay partial blame to tony
but alot of other teams seem to do the same thing
  • I am beginning to think so. Actually yesterday I was reading one of Tregosteve's posts and it made a lot of sense to me. It really is easier to yell and scream at each other when you have been practically family all your lives. My brother works in the office here he is our QC Manager and I can tell you for sure when he asks me to do something for him it sure is a lot easier not to listen to him, or argue or fight with him than it would be if say the owner were to ask me. They can get a little to comfortable and a little to lax I think.

I adore Tony Jr. But Dale Jr. may need someone a little stronger to handle him and get Junior into victory lane.
  • partly i thinh rickH needs to be involved a little more on the 88 team maybe a team mgr would be good for tony but i personally think he is a good crew chief you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Yes!

    Happy Bday Steevo!
  • Not entirely. If I were Rick, I think I'd try Junior with a different crew chief. Not right now, but maybe at the first of the 2009 season. That might help them assess exactly what the problem is. Swap Eury and Letarte for a while. That could get interesting. : )
  • Like Steffy, I'm beginning to think so. I'm not sayin kick Tony Jr. off the team, but maybe a spotter instead of crew chief. It's that "family thing" if Tony Jr. makes a call & Junior doesn't like it, he throws a fit. I listen to him on Pit Command. It's a good thing at times that they are family. Nothing against Tony Jr. but he can't seem to get thru to Junior at times. Junior needs someone who he will listen to and get him on the right track. It was pretty sad that Rick Hendrick had to get on the radio when you think about it. JMO
  • No I think communication is the issue. Dale Jr. shouts and Tony can't understand. they have tried the other crew chief thing and hasn't worked yet.
  • I think that's part of it but I do think Dale Jr is partially to blame. I don't believe that Jr is good at relaying what the car is doing and what it needs in an effective way. Getting all worked up and yelling doesn't usually help the problem. I'm sure Tony Jr. picked up a lot of secrets and helpful tips from his dad, as far as working with the "downforce" car, but he does not seem to be as comfortable with making adjustments on the COT. It will be interesting to see what sort of personnel changes Rick might make in the offseason. Your driver might be in the market for a new crew chief as well (no, you CAN'T have Chad)?
LMAO David, you can't just stop having birthdays bro. Besides, I'm just 39...for the 3rd time.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Junior is too hard headed and in way over his head. All his Hater Nation thugs like to crow about his two Busch championships, maybe thats where he ought to have stayed. He surely never will have one in Cup racing.
  • Tony Jr and the MEDIA.
  • I think Dale Jr's problem is that he wants to be like his dad. Junior is an okay driver but just doesn't have the talent to be great like his father. I don't think it would matter who the crew chief was, you'd still get the same result. He can hold his own, but he can't be great.
  • Lots of things have to jive. It's never just the driver, just the crew chief, or just the equipment. Jr. and his team have some things to work on. If they can work together to solve their problems, then we will see him win some races. Jr. needs to work on his communication skills, and Tony Eury Jr. needs to work on keeping up with an ever changing track throughout the day. If they can't do that, then it's up to Mr. Hendrick to make any necessary changes in employess to get his car in victory lane. Just my HO.
  • A very interesting question, some think it is some say it's not. I heard them mention that this team was split up before and it did not work. I have heard some say that Jr does not describe what is happening woth the car in a manner that is conducive to actually handling the matter (ala Cole Trickle) As for me I honestly think that both need to get together and come to a meeting of the minds and figure out what is lacking and get it done. Perhaps it is as simple as communication.....
  • No way dude! Jr. would have punted him a long time ago if that was the problem!
  • I think it is the combination of the two together. they don't seem to "mesh" well. Jr. has some problems communicating, and Tony has some problems making decisions. Maybe I should say "enforcing" decisions. Dale seems to need somebody who will stand his ground, and make him listen.

Happy, Happy Birthday my friend Steevo!

Hope you have a great day. You need to go out and do something silly for yourself (something you normally wouldn't do). It will exhilarate you. Have some fun!

  • Dale Jr's problem is Dale Jr. It's about time people blame the root of all of it. It's been 9 years, it's about time the REAL problem gets credit
  • Definitely a part of it...
  • he gets in the way sometimes but jr.'s problem is mostly, just as most drivers, luck.
  • No, Dale Jr.'s problem is Dale Jr.!
  • Tony Eury Jr isn't driving the car is he?? If everything must be 110% perfect in order for Dale Earnhardt Jr to win, maybe it's because Jr is to inadequate to win by himself and everything has to line up perfect for it to happen. (Michigan)
  • Maybe Dale Jr & Jeff Gordon should swap crew chiefs.
  • NO.........I think Jr. problem is his severe lack of driving talent!
  • i think it alittl bit of both of them.

How many spankings do you get?
  • Thank you Rackpurdue88 and thank you ALL so much, you are too kind. I guess I can put my party hat on for awhile. I am at work for awhile longer but I might try and sneak out early to do a little trout fishing. I have had some good luck on my birthday in the past. My birthday week started off pretty good, with the Vikes winning and Jimmie getting another top 5. Just watching the end of that race was like getting an early present, man that was exciting! It would really cap it all off if the 48 team could get into victory lane for their first time at Kansas. Thanks again for the well wishes and thoughts, you guys are the best.

PS: Lynn, thanks for the sweet shades, they are awesome!
  • Happy Birthday Trego! And may you have many more!
  • I think it will be either Jr., or Burton this week...that would stir things up, especially if one of the top guys has problems this week.

  • Nascar Nation? Is is just me or is Camping World sponsoring every race this year?

    May be...

    hermosa beach gay bars
  • And your point would be???

Did you ever hear of Winston Cup?

    How about Busch Series??

    Craftsman Truck???

They pay there $$$$$ to NASCAR and get their names emblazoned in our faces for four hours every Sunday. Sounds like a good marketing plan.

I personally don't camp, but if I did i would buy at one of their stores if one was close by. How many Superbowl Sponsors can you name?
  • I have also noticed it, not only in the cup though, it has become apparent in the Nationwide series, they have had the same company sponsor a majority of their races. Not just Camping world but other ones too. I cant say much for the early 80's when it happened (I wasnt born yet). But yes, I have noticed that too. There's been a couple lifelocks in the Cup along with the Camping world. Camping world, Kroger, and Dollar General have basically been switching it up in the Nationwide series.
  • Now that you mention it does seem that way in the NASCAR Cup and Busch/Nationwide Series.

Camping World does have a low NASCAR division called the NASCAR Camping World Series.
  • Hey, I'm just happy that SOMEONE is sponsoring these races and cars! And no, I've never seen a Camping World either, but you have to admit, it makes a good sponsor for NASCAR... even if we do see them sponsoring every other race and 3 cars in each race...

For the record, I've never seen a Menard's, either.
  • It seems like it. I had never heard of Camping World until last year when they sponsored a few Kevin Harvicks Nationwide cars and Craftsman trucks.

There are not any of the stores remotely close to me here in east Texas and only five in the state.

    http://www.campingworld.com/stores/
  • It seems almost every week Camping World and one of their divisions is the primary race sponsor. New Hampshire, Dover, next week in Kansas. Then there were some races in the spring and summer. So here's my question......is the economy so bad that NASCAR is giving Camping World a bargain basement price to sponsor multiple events?
Or is Camping World one of the richest companies in America????
Has anyone else noticed this???? Just think it's wierd they are listed as the sponsor for almost every race. I haven't seen something like this since the early 80's when J.D.STACY sponsored nearly 11 cars at the same time!!!! Let me know what you think!
  • No it not you. They are on the truck, nationwide & cups cars. They are on Harvick's trucks & nationwide team & also Robby Gordon cars & maybe some more. Maybe they have more money than J.D. Stacy had.
  • They secured sponsorship at least a year ago. They're doing this because now is camping season so they want our business for the fall campers.

How much horse power does a Formula 1 race car have?

    May be...

frog city and the racing frogs
  • With the new 2.4 V8 about 750bhp.
    3.0 V10 had about 920 bhp in 2005
In the turbo years of the mid 1980s, they could ave up to 1300bhp though only in qualification as the engine woulnt last a race distane with that much.
In the late 1950s more like 250bhp area
  • Our RA108 gets up to 1027 bhp on our rolling road

but as i say thats a rolling road. On a track it's more likely to be at the most 1010 bhp

but to be honest it's pretty much impossible to know for sure on a track.

**so it's a safe bet that McLarens and Ferarris are up to 2000**

  • Does Greg Biffle prove that the "Chase" is really screwed up?

    May be...

    ibahn code
  • YES
  • glad kyle lost and the point system is messed up.so glad the idiot with big ears has no chance to win.......oops
  • Definitely !
  • Jeff Gordon is proof that the chase is really screwed up.
Thanks for your condolences Lenny, even if they were meant in sarcasm.
  • Yes it is,but.........Kyle going down made my day,if Jimmy can't win 3 in a row, then I hop its someone like Biffle or Edfwards.
  • I don't like the chase, but I don't see anything wrong with the fact he's won 2 races and isn't leading. The first 26 races have to mean something. Edwards and JJ won races and Greg didn't. And I am very not upset about "poor Kyle".
  • Yes Biff proved the chase is real screwed up but he certainly made for great racing Sunday with his 2 team mates.
  • i am glad that Kyle screw up again i hope 99 wins the chase
  • Johnson and Edwards had bonus points for winning. Greg did not win until last week, and Edwards and Johnson are always in the Top 5 it seems. If Greg keeps on winning he will be out front as he is only 10 behind Edwards now. As for Kyle he would not have the points lead anyway as Edwards would be ahead of him under the old system.
  • I love the points system. It makes it WAY more fun. My favorite part IS Busch being in last in the race.
  • Biffle should be leading. It's working because Kyle Busch's last! (:
  • Yes, it is screwed up. I understand how you feel because I felt that way last year when Jeff didn't win the championship. He ran awesome leading up to the Chase but didn't get it. It wasn't even that he ran that badly in the last 10 races, but he didn't run as well as Jimmie did.
  • He wins the first 2 races (Good for you #16) and is still not the front runner????? I am still VERY UPSET about poor Kyle............

    What happened to kyle?

    May be...

    how to crack demo version
  • Kyle Busch falls even farther back in the points pretty much eliminating his chances at winning the the Sprint Cup. His sour attitude didn’t help him either. After the race on an interview on ESPN he said something like “Just forget it,” “it doesn’t matter,” and “Who cares’ So it feels like to me that he doesn’t want to win a championship. That is the real reason he cannot win this not his position in the chase.
  • Kyle blew his engine up. On about lap 140 or 141 he made a pass on Jimmie Johnson and Reed Soreson and over-reved his engine. On lap 142 he came over the radio and said "we're blowing up".

Funny how all year it's the driver and not the car and then when he blows his engine up then it suddenly becomes the car and not the driver. Talking about double standards.
    -----
He knew it was his fault he blew the engine up. I am a real good person for reading other people's character and the singing part is an admission of guilt. He knew he blew it up and that's the reason he wasn't mad. Any other time Kyle would have stormed off. Then he tried to say it started blowing up on the restart. WRONG. Just another cover-up for a fault that was his own. The previous caution was on lap 64. That was like 78 laps before. He wasn't blowing up on restart. He blew it up trying to get around Jimmie.

Watch the replay. The announcers will not tell it like it is, but I will.
  • WHOA!!!!

Somebody besides Petty finished in 43rd!!!

But no, wait, they are both named Kyle...

    LOL

His lucky streak just ran out. Hopefully he can pull it back together in the next 7 races and make the finale a real good race.
  • I totally agree with Dianne. Haven't you noticed all the luck he's gotten this season? He's won 8 races (3 or so with green-white-checkered finishes) he's barely missed something like 15 wrecks and he always dodges bullets! His luck ran out.

seems it has gone to Biffle
  • Good luck will only last so long before it goes bad.
  • he had the engine that couldn't keep running
my take is his brother is jealous or he is blaming everyone else again for his failures
  • Plain and Simple...Lady Luck ran out and bit him, sorry to say and no it is not sabotage in any circumstance..he may bounce back but it will be a total battle to be in top 5 when its over in Homestead!

Just an opinion, don't hate me!
  • Kyle Petty finished 40th. Kyle Busch finished 43rd.

Shrub has lost his momentum. He may or may not get it back. This is why I don't like the chase.
  • he was told he wasnt going to win any more, thats it for the season. They dont want to make it look like its scripted....
  • Engine. I predicted three weeks ago when everyone was saying he's the next Richard Petty he would have some bad luck. He didn't have any the first 26 races. It always averages out.
Don't know if he can come back-he sure has flamed out.
  • did his team get fed up with him blaming it on them if he loses and sabotage his cars what are your takes on why hes doing so bad ?
  • well- he blowed the fvck up
  • Ya know they always say this deal is part car, part team, part driver and a lot of luck. When all four are aligned there is no stopping them but if one is missing or two the deals over. The past two races were long overdue and poorly timed but it was the car and luck that failed not the driver or the team. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
  • KYLE is not doing bad. His cars are....there's a difference.

Mechanical problems happen all the time in NASCAR Tina, guess Junebug's blown engine's last year were driver related?

Ya gonna log into your 12 different accounts and send a violation notice my way?

This doesn't look like over-reving his engine to me.
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Szx5UU-EsN...
  • Kyle has had some bad luck the last couple of weeks it happens it just sucks for him and his fans that it is happening at chase time but I definitely don't think he team is sabotaging him they want him to do good too! It's just been a string of bad luck for the last couple of races for him
  • Every team has an off week or two from time to time.
The #18 team just has really rotten timing.

Look for them to regroup and finish strong.

  • if not, then who holds the record, and how many championships in a row is it?
