Who's better?Kyle Busch or Dale Earnhardt Jr. on nascar?

May be...

  • HECK NO!

Jr is the best. out of ur choices that is.
  • kyle is way better than jr watch and see, kyle will win the championship... it will be so funny,i bet rick will be kicking his self all the way to new york...
  • well wait only haters of junior think that junior is only good because of senior junior is good because he is able to race so well... last year he was able to continue to run a race with no power steering, last week at the end of the race he was able to motor to an 8th place finish with no friends to help him, junior was able to keep his head up after finishing 19th in points because teresa decided to switch waltrip's and earnhardt's teams... junior is an amazing drivers just because he doesn't have the wins to prove doesn't mean he isn't great dale junior is 10 times better than kyle because dale's personality is 20 times better than kyle... and i am not hating on kyle i am just being honest and many people will say that kyle has a bad attitude
  • well first i think this little guy is talking about whose the best driver in nascar, if that is the question, no doubt Kyle is the most talented, nationwide, any track any car, makes no difference. Second why the daddy factor he brings to the table is i think b-cause sooooo many ppl do support jr. on the fact he lost his daddy in this profession, and they loved the intimdator as well, so the buck is passed down to the son b-cause of the dad. sorry but true jr.fans. Kyle rules 08. Don't hate,,,,,, Appreciate!!
  • whats jr s dad got to do with it
im one helluva bowhunter but my dad did'nt make me that good and he hunted also but he did'nt make me as good as i am today
the way it looks we will find out in the chase who's the best
  • Is Kyle Busch better because he won lots of wins or Dale Earnhardt Jr. because of his dad?
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr
  • Let's compare Kyle and Dale Jr. since Kyle started in 2004:

    Kyle: 10 wins
    Dale Jr.: 3 wins

    ok there you have it.
  • Kyle is not my favourite, but you gotta give him some respect due to his 6 wins and the booing week in and week out has been getting less and less.... expect in the Nationwide... ;)
  • 1 word JRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BUSCH SUCKS Report Abuse
  • Well considering that both get paid to drive racecars for a living they are both good, however kyle busch has been putting up the number this year with 6 wins aginst dale's 1
  • Kyle cause he wins
  • Kyle Busch is way better than Dale Jr.
  • Busch or Earnhardt "on" NASCAR? I guess you mean a computer game. Junior's supposed to be wicked good at computer games.

To Mr. Tbone: Nobody is so think as you drunk they are. ; )
  • last year i woldv said busch becus of jr's season
but this year now that jr. has a better car it's him(not bcuse of his dad because of his kickass racing)
  • Kyle Busch!!!!

While Busch often is the target of critics who accuse him of being smug or cocky, he's anything but, at least in Todd Bodine's eyes.

"He's not as bad of a kid as everybody thinks," Bodine said. "Everybody thinks he's a cocky little (expletive), but I'm here to tell you he's not. He's a real good kid. He's confident. There's a difference between confidence and cocky. He's just very confident вЂ" and he should be."
  • Kyle wins more often, Jr. is far more consistent. After all, Jr. is 2nd, with just one win. It took Kyle multiple wins to be in first. Let's just leave Dale Sr. out of the equation all together.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • they both are good , dale sexier, but i adore kyle ears, gives you something to hold on to you know................!
  • Kyle is a winner. Like him or hate him. He wins.
  • You can't be anymore consistent then being first Gloria. You drinking already darlin?

Its Ok Gloria. Im only on my 2nd. Obviously I have some catching up to do. I have a job at 11PM. I may use a cab tonight..
  • First of all there is no comparision in Dale Jr & Dale Sr.. So what Kyle is winning races.. wait till some bad luck hits him which he is over due for (I do not hate Kyle Busch) but it happens to all drivers.. Dale Jr is 2nd in the points, yes Kyle has talent I do not deny him..But theres time when consistency is more than winning....

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Kyle 'cuz he knows how ta drive like he stole it!

Jr. may be staying out of trouble, but Kyle's got way more balls than he does. He even wrecked Jr. when he was in the lead knowing all the fans would be peed-off at him. Kyle's got the guts and talents. Jr. is just a wannabe out there.
  • you can't compare the two b/c they are nowhere near the same....they have two completely different driving styles and are from two totally different generations....no comparison is needed....they are both talented... you don't see me on the track, they are.
  • Kyle Bush has won tons of races this season, but he's sooo full of himself! Earnheart IS WAY cooler and a better, cleaner racer. Earnheart is clean, bush will do anythin to win!!
  • A stupid question for sure...Kyle beat dale Earnhardt hands down....Dale has to stand on his own two feet and not use the father to compair...
  • Who's better?Kyle Busch or Dale Earnhardt Jr. on nascar?

  • True or False~ Jeff Gordon?

    May be...

  • True......
    Board hog??? NOT!!
This is way better than the Junior bashers & the JJ Yeley fans & trolls and "Is Nascar a sport" questions. Thanks for posting, it was fun. =o`)
  • True
  • true
  • Thank you. None of these have been even slightly funny.
  • Did Jeff Gordon actually say this. True or False.

"I just told Scott (Riggs) that we were acting," says Gordon, "and he was playing the role of Matt Kenseth, or he was going to get shoved. If he refused, I was going to smack that silly soul patch off his chin."

    This one cracks me up....

Okay, last one. I am getting hate mail now, lol. Somebody with their panties in a wad called me a "board hog".

    Thanks for playing!!
  • Neva heard that.
  • FALSE!!!!!

You didn't get me on this one, but you did on all the rest. I gotta learn to read the fine print...LOL.

I did enjoy these, and NO you are not a board hog!

    It's been fun!

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • what does it matter true or not. This board isn't just for serious questions, yes some are and some people really dont know an answer and need help but come on ITS FOR FUN,THE WORLD CAN'T BE SERIOUS ALL THE TIME. I have to say most times I come here and look for the silly stupid questions. I love to answer them and see peoples answers. Life is to short to be serious all the time, even in NASCAR NATION!!!!!!!
  • they are true
  • Sounds familiar, so I'll say true.

You're no board hog. I've seen some board hogs lately - they all seem to be JJ Yeley fans. Maybe you should've asked a Yeley question. Then their panties might have remained wadless. lol
  • Who likes Kyle Busch??? I know I Do!?

    May be...

  • I have no problems with Kyle Busch, I like the attitude he took on when the fans were all mad at him.... but I wish he would be a good pal and let Jeff Gordon win one... lol
  • I dont care for him at all, but I never have, dont hate him either. But he does have a great deal of talent and is a force to be reckoned with.
  • He's my favorite driver.
  • i like him too, he's great.

Kyle Busch is our 2008 Sprint Cup Champion!!!
  • I DO I DO!! :)
  • And I know I dont!!
  • He has talent, and his attitude is improving a little bit, but I don't have to like the guy.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • Good driver
    Great for the sport.
    I like him fine.
  • He's okay.
  • NOT ME, but good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • He's Gay.
  • Talented, yes. Cocky, arrogant, jerk, self centered, cry baby: YES! The bads out weigh the good. I hate him.
  • he is ok...
    not on my top fav...
but against montoya all i have to say is go kyle!
  • He has earned my respect. He won me over. I have him on my top 5 favorite drivers. Go Kyle!
  • I know I do!
  • He is not my favorite but i don't dislike him. I just hate what he drives.
  • kyle busch suck and does not deserve to race and i think nascar pays other drivers to wreck so he can win just look at DAYTONA last week
  • You got to like the guy, the way he eggs the crowd on, even when they are booing and jeering him. That reminds me of the late great Dale, and for that I am a fan.
  • Who likes Brendan Gaughan?

    May be...

  • Indifferent.

Really not too familiar with the guy.
  • good truck racer
  • I do.
  • I don't know him, but he's not much as a driver. His family bought his way into NASCAR (much like Paul Menard) and he has failed to be successful. Goes to show you that it takes more than money.
  • He's a good guy off the track but he had his 15 minutes of fame in the Cup Series.
  • not me...
  • How do the Armed Forces sponsor Nascar?

    May be...

  • You've seen the TV commercials, right? It all comes out of their advertising budget. They have to advertise to get people to enlist. NASCAR has been found to have the most patriotic fans in recent surveys so I would think it's the best place to advertise the armed forces. So yes, it does come out of tax dollars. But if they didn't advertise in NASCAR, they would do it somewhere else as the advertising budget is a set amount.
  • as they said above - it's part of their marketing and advertising budget to get new recruits. and if you notice, there was mention of how they pick who to sponsor in the news about the #8 and mark martin leaving dei. in short, it was said that the army thought almirola was perfect for their target demographic - especially the fact that he is young and latino. mark martin, although he may be in good shape, isn't the poster boy for who the army is trying to recruit.

and who better to advertise to - patriotic americans who are more than likely good at fixing vehicles, shooting guns, and blowing stuff up - in other words, nascar fans!!!

    ;-)
  • I am sure they have a advertising budget to work with. And I bet they feel that NASCAR is within their targeted market.
  • with money
  • Businesses or in this case our Armed Forces don't sponsor cars for the fun of it. It is done for exposure and advertising. It is one of the ways they can market their company and their product. The Armed Forces have to advertise so they can recruit new enlistees.
  • Your tax dollars at work, baby!
  • I often times wonder how it is that our Armed Forces sponsor Nascar teams...WHO is paying for these sponsorships? Is it the American public?

    Dale Jr Wins?

    May be...

  • NO WAY! JJ YELEY WILL PROVE HIMSELF TO ALL YOU HATERS THAT HE IS THE BESTEST DRIVER IN NASCAR, YOU JUST WATCH AND SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • hahahahahhaha im literally laughing. jr? winning? I dont think Ive ever heard those two words in the same sentence together unless its that Jr has no chance of winning or Too bad Jr isnt as good as his dad was and could actually be winning instead of making it a race to 20 position. There was a little pop up information blurb thing a few races back now that said all the things that have happened since Jr won last and one of the was that over 10 million iPhones were sold and stuff like that.... huge numbers that happened over the last WHOLE BUNCH and i mean A LOT of years like seriously A LOT of years since Jr last won. ha. Jr winning. Still laughing about that.
  • Ya hopefully a Jr driver will win.
  • Ahhh..... Just when I was starting to miss the trolls, they come out in full-force today!

Jr runs strong just about every week this year, so I'm going to say "yeah, he has a chance to win" just like every other driver on the track has every week.

....Winter Glory, did I see you make a "Jr might win" reference??? Are you feeling OK today? Fever? Need some Tylenol? I can't believe I just read that.... : ) lol

    ....YES - NO!
  • Hey Winter Glory, Kyle doesn't drive for HMS anymore.
  • Yes, and I hope he wins, he deserves it so much
  • He'll most likely ride around in 21st all night, and make a late race fuel gamble to finish in the top 10.

Landon Cassill might win tonight, that would be neat
  • Dale Junior wins?

Step back down to earth buddy. Landon Cassill would have abetter shot of winning in that 88 car Junior drivers. If it comes down to fuel mileage Dale Junior will probably win again so every1 will think he is the best thing ever in Nascar. But hes not
  • I think a roush will win. I think Jr will finish around 8th or 9th
  • Wishful thinking there?
  • Saturday's Rick Hendrick's birthday, either one of the Triple J, or Kyle Busch will win for him as a birthday present.
  • he has a chance, he has run strong all year until a mistake in the pits or he is wrecked by someone. go jr
  • How many of yall think dale jr will win Saturday nights race or is

he going to just ride around in 21 st all night an will Jr motor

sports the #5 car will Landon get his 1st win tonight
  • YEs an Hope so hes earned it
  • I understand that Corvette Racing will need a mid-engine vette to compete in certain Le Mans series, but do...

    May be...

  • Ok, so here's what is going on... the P1 class rules for Le Mans (and ALMS) are changing for the 2010 season, moving back to closed top prototypes that are speced to allow cars to resemble showroom models (something we saw more of in past decades). Chevy has already shown a midengined car designed for such use, but from what I've seen, it's not yet clear if this will actually be developed for racing or is just something to show off at shows.

Given a lack of experience in developing a prototype car, it could be risky given the sheer cost, but their racing team has been very successful with the GT1 class, which is almost as far removed from a production car as the P1 would be, so it could make sense.

However, this does not relate to the road car... just as the current GT1 car is a completely different chasis that just happens to look like the street car, a P1 car would be a completely different car that just sort of resemebled parts of a Corvette. Since none of the race car would be usable for a street version, GM would still have to justify the cost of designing and building a completely new Corvette chasis... which seems unlikely. The street car is almost certain to remain in it's current layout, though rumors are also certain to persist in regards to a midengined version (since this has been the case with almost every new version since the C3).

As for the advantages of such a layout... it does improve the car's balance. A slight rear weight bias can be preferred for some reasons, though completely neutral is good too (and front bias is never optimal). The more weight in the center, the better the car behaves in transition... and from a design aspect, the more of the large fixed weight that is most center, the more flexibility the engineers have at adusting the overall weight and polar momentum of the car.

While a mid engine design would improve some aspects of the Corvette, it would add alot of cost to a platform that already sells quite well, and matches up well with it's competition... still, maybe one day yet!
  • you think a mid-engine production vette is guaranteed? If so, what's the base price/specs? Does handling improve with the evenly distributed weight?
  • Now do you hate JJ or the troll that likes him?

    May be...

  • No comment on JJ, but I have to say Burton's car looks awesome!!!!
  • the way I look at it is everybody who drives in the NASCAR cup series, has their "head screwed on tight" It's a beautiful direction and I respect each and every one of those guys. And most of all, I pick no favorites, because I love the competition. Without competition you can never be the best. (not that JJ Yeley is the best) But yeah! Jeff Burtons Prilosec car look pretty awesome. I would rather be driving that car than the AT&T car. Purple and lightning looks ominous.
  • the cat car looks good i dont have a problem with JJ i dont know why they hate him he cant seem to find a good ride
  • I have no problem with JJ either. Seems to be a nice enough guy. As far as the paint scheme I love it! It looks cool. Maybe cat now can get some exposure running up front.
  • I like the Prilosec car better than the CAT car.

I don't hate anyone, but that troll is getting on my nerves. I've got my pitchfork ready, just give the word.
  • i can never hate anybody, but the troll with the multiple accounts is really pissing me off. I'm just gonna stop answering her questions, she wants attention and i refuse to give it.

    answering your Jeff Burton question:
it's a nice looking car, but it's going to take some getting use to. I'm going to miss the at&t car :(
  • I don't like either. Yeley is gay.
  • I find myself trashing him and I have no problem with him as a driver just to disagree with that troll. Everybody, get your pitchforks, time to run the trolls out!

Nascar question: Do you like Jeff Burton's CAT car?
    http://www.jayski.com/schemes/2008/31cup... I love it.
  • I like JJ...seems to be a nice guy. He's a very proud Dad. I don't use the word hate but I agree the trolls need to go. There are those who just like to stir the pot.

Really like the Cat car, it looks awesome. =o`)
  • sweet ....thanks for posting that pic. was wondering how that car would look. better than i though it would.

Im still mad over the fact that NASCAR booted out AT&T.

Before you know it we cant watch the race on tv unless we have Sprint service.
  • Cool! Love it! Thanks! I like Jeff, he's a nice guy! As for the idiot she/he/it: Ignore it! Don't allow "It" to get to ya! Besides who cares? right? We love Nascar! And thats all that matters!
ScAt LiTtLe trol]! Your nothing to us!
    WE ARE NASCAR FANS!
    WE RULE!
  • well if the trolls want to be here they need to charged something
its cool! can wait to see it on the track
  • Yeah it's weird. I never had a problem with JJ before. He isn't a bad guy just a lousy driver. Anyway...it's too bad. That JJ fan has several accounts all made on the same day. Maybe that girl got her friends to sign up and troll here.
The Karate K guy, and the bug eyed dude haven't been seen in awhile. Maybe they got their accounts deleted.
  • I don't have anything against JJ, but I do hate the troll that likes him and has a dozen accounts.

I think Burton new paint scheme looks awesome.
  • I have never really liked JJ, but the troll is annoying. I have caught myself bashing him too, and this is what she/he/IT probably wants. But it is an easy two points, and I also got 10 from the one were the picture looks like OJ Simpson with long hair.

I got my torch, and pitchfork, I am going hunting.

The CAT car looks really cool. I like it
  • BOTH, YES.
  • I don't like Yeley because he wrecked Mark Martin at Charlotte and blamed it on Mark. The troll's annoying too. I like Burton's car, but it is different to see it instead of the old one.
  • It looks good, shame we never got to see the AT&T scheme though.

As far as J.J. no problem with in any form, problem with way too zealous fan(s), yes.
  • hate? wtf. how can you hate someone you dont even know?!!? jj isnt my favorite but to no exent do i hate him i find your question verry rude.

'I like the cat car. it looks really good.
  • I don't hate JJ, I don't really know a whole lot about him except that he's an average driver.

I don't hate the troll either. It doesn't hurt me and it doesn't bother me. I know I'm in the minority in this, but I find it funny! I really get a good laugh out of it occasionally.

I do like the CAT car. I'm just sad that he won't be bright orange anymore, it was easier to spot him that way.
  • Yeah I've found myself bashing a driver I didn't really care either way about, all because of the 4000th JJ Yeley trolls.
    And Burton's car looks sweet.
  • I love Burtons new car its gonna be kind of weird seeing him with a new paint scheme.
  • Who is JJ? J/W

    I like it a lot
  • Idea..Let us not respond to the troll and his questions. If someone ignores someone then they have no one to feed their negativity, then they will usually get the message because they have no one to play their game anymore. I shall not respond anymore, though I was nice yesterday.

Heck yes I love Burton's car! I am just sad I will not get to see the race this weekend. My first and only race I will miss this season :-(
  • well lets see JJ could retire tomorrow and not be missed i mean he wrecks ever time he straps into a car. Example like at Eldora in that charity race, at Daytona when he toke over for that a$$ hole Tony and there was many times before that and as for the troll stop running down Jr are i will run u over and give u the finger and poor a beer on u and maybe u mite stop living in Ur little fantasy world cause JJ SUCKS BIG FAT DONKY BA@*S
  • I've been trying to get you guys to start helping report these clowns, but everytime I mention it, my answer gets deleted.

Huck and all the Yeley personalities should be reported by each and every one of us immediately.

    That Cat is PHat!
  • I don't dislike JJ, I thought he had saved a burning village of orphans the other day with as much attention as he was getting on here. So yeah, I don't care for the troll fans.

    Burton's new ride? Nice.
  • I like JJ. Nice, down to Earth guy (or so I've heard). I don't hate the fanatic because I don't see much of him or her.

JB's CAT car rocks!!! GOOOOOOOO RCR!!!
  • 10.7.08

Which one is sexier Dale Jr or Jeff Gordon?

    May be...

  • either Michael walltrip is cuter
  • Jeff Gordon but darn he's married.
  • Jeff Gordon. With Tony Stewart being a close 2nd!

    D A L E J R .............................100%
  • Dale Junior is my pick, he is a slow-southern sexy guy.

Nothing against Jeffie though, I think he is doll as well. Minus the eyebrows.
  • It's Jr. (I admit it, there's a sexiness about the guy, okay?)
  • Definitely Jr.
Although the sexiest is Tony Stewart.
  • Kasey Kahne
  • Jeff Gordon. I've been his fan since the begining. GO GORDON!!!!!!!
  • I will have to pick Jeff Gordon. Eyebrows and all. :)
  • Jeff Gordon
  • DALE JR!!

    Jr Nation all the way
  • Dale Sr.
  • Yeah I understand. Both those guys could drive 110 miles a day for two weeks on a bike faster then Lance. lol
  • I know that Dale Sr. will probably win but I vote Junior.
  • Dale Sr
  • LOL.... That's funny.... Sr.
  • I reckon Sr, (I guess you can win even when your up there with the big guy!) Jr can have it next year.
  • The Intimidator.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • Greg Biffle is my favorite so Im voting for him.
  • I have to say Dale Sr.
  • I'll go with Earnhardt on this one...:-)

Edit: You cant expect me to make a decision on this one. Ok, I'll pretend someone is dangling me off a bridge by my ears and I have to make a choice....DALE SR.
  • neither
  • JuneeeeeeeeeeeeYeeeeeeeeeeeeer

    with Sr a close 2nd!
  • Dale Sr
  • either kyle is going to win
  • Ironhead
  • Sorry to say but here are the elimated people:
    Carl Edwards
    Lance Armstrong

So here is the champsionship matchup first to 10 votes win
    Dale jr vs Dale sr

    vote now for you favorite!!!!
  • Tony Stewart, of course!!

(you said 'vote for your favorite')
  • Dale Sr.!!
  • Dale sr
  • JUNIOR!!
  • Winner of the Award?

    May be...

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I am glad Tony won but since you got caught cheating by several people in #3 it took the fun right out of it.
  • Ah well. . .it was fun to participate.

EDIT: Oh yeah! And I don't hate Jr. I just liked Vickers more. What can I say?
  • It was a fun game. I didn't understand at first, but I was quick enough to vote the last couple rounds.

By the way.....he didn't get "caught" cheating. He made a mistake, owned up to it, and played the round over with Jr. being eliminated the way he should. LIGHTEN UP!
  • GOOOOOO Tony rocks
  • Rookie Sam Hornish Jr is having a typical rookie year, but few people know that while he was driving formula cars, he built a world-class medical center in his small home town of Defiance, Ohio. Quite the generous humanitarian! He gets karma points for that.
  • Congrats Tony.

Now to the rest of Jr Nation...be sure to visit ...

    http://www.scenedaily.com/mostpopulardri...

and vote for Mr. Jr. so that this kind of travesty doesn't actually occur! 6 STRAIGHT IN 08!!
  • how'd kyle busch not get it? he's like the best nascar driver now a days.
  • This question got deleted yesterday and I'm sure why. It's bugging a lot of you guys. Well, it got reported so now I'm posting it again so all of the "not bugged" fans get the message. Tony Stewart beat Jeff Gordon 5 votes to 3 and is named Yahoo Answers Most Popular Driver 2008!

By the way, yeah, I know dale jr. dominates in the whole nation. but that just isn't the deal here on answers. too many jr. haters. apparently, just here on answers, smoke is the most popular.

That is, if his fans get to answer quick enough.

yeah, i know it was stupid how you had to be one of the first to make your opinion count but I felt like starting and finishing it in one day and couldn't wait a long time.

Congrats to Tony and his loyal fans. And sorry to all the fans who couldn't get their opinions posted fast enough.
  • i wished that jeff gordons gay boy would open up his email
    i just want to chat
    you little gay fag peterpuffer

    oh yeah congrats to tony
i'll be back pulling for him next year
  • dale Jr tony Stewart or Kasey Kane
  • koob k...Kyle didn't get it because he isn't the most popular.

If it was a best DRIVER poll, he'd definetely be in the finals.

Most popular just means more people like you.

Good job Tony! (Who by the way could win a best driver poll, also)
  • Good for Tony..he got my vote.

    Nice game too.
  • Does Jeff Gordon officially suck after last week?

    May be...

  • no bout a doubt it
  • No
  • Like Tony Stewart, Jeff is just not having any luck go his way this year. He was great last year and would have won the championship if the "chase system" hadn't screwed him out of it.
  • Jeff Gordon does not suck or else he wouldn't have 4 championships and 81 wins.

I will say this though. Look at stats of his team mate in the 48. Johnson has been in NASCAR for what is now 6 years, ten years shorter than Gordon. And he already has half of the championships. So it goes to show you, statistically Gordon is the best. But Jimmie will have 4 championships before the 24 gets 5.
  • He gave up the win when he literally had the race in the bag.
  • hes still 6th in points
you better watch ,he'll come to life and win the championship
and i dont even pull for him!!!!!!!!!!
  • No, he doesn't. As others have said, he does have 4 championships, 81 wins and is in 6th place in points. I bet many drivers wished they had those kinds of stats.
  • nah, he started to officially suck when he was BORN!!!
  • Nah...I think he just made a rookie mistake. He was really peeved when he did his interview, more so than I've seen him in other interviews after he's wrecked. He was madder about that more than anything else.
  • No...........

He made a mistake and took responsibilty for it. The guy is a class act and has broke almost every record in the books, has an absolutely beautiful wife and child, knows how to win championships, he has 4 so far ya know. So no he does not suck nor is he gay!
  • no. he didn't have the race in the bag, but he had a great shot at it. if he "literally had the race in the bag" he would have won, and he didn't, rowdy did.

but judging any driver's abilities or talent on one restrictor plate race (or any one race at all), where anything can happen and often does, is an untenable proposition.
  • The wings on those cars makes it hard to see the driver behind you from how I understand it. In Gordon's shoes I would think by the time Carl Edwards made his move it was probably too late for Gordon to block him because the wing served as a blind spot.

He may not be doing as well as previous years but he still has a record to back up his driving skills.

geekluv also made a point that goes in hand. In the last few laps of the race on a restart a driver is trying to think "Am I doing what I need to do" then suddenly the green flag drops and he notices he left the bottom open and Carl has made his move. First "instinct" is to jerk the wheel left. I think that is why like geekluv said that he made a rookie mistake basically. He admitted it in his interview. He should have just held his position but reacted on instinct and it cost him.
  • You'll never know, or even be able to comprehend.
    Your still "stuck on gay".
  • How does 4 Championships and 81 wins make Jeff suck?
  • He was spun out. Something that he couldn't do anything about.
  • Suck what???????Jrs weenie
  • No he doesn't suck...have you ever watched restrictor-plate racing regularly? This happens all of the time...the only good thing is that this one didn't cause the Big One.
  • 9.7.08

    NASCAR 2009 worth it?

    May be...

  • Yes it is the best nascar game ever for any system
  • it's great. much much better than nascar 08. very fun
  • For the XBOX 360
  • I have a PS2 and it's without a doubt worth it. But all the cool features are for xbox 360. in ps2 you really don't do anything different and its just so basic. I played it for the xbox 360 and it was much better. it's worth it for ps2 although for 360 you are always dealing with an amazingly tight racecar. But yes, it is worth it. 09 is a great game.
  • No i've got it theres no two player, you cant control how many laps or if there are cautions and this is when your just screwing around not in flight to the top.
  • I got it for PS3 and i'm dissapointed. You don't have choice of manufacturer, so all the cars look the same. That's the thing I hate the most about it
  • if you have xbox live, you can get the demo at the marketplace and decide for yourself.

08 was terrible, and 09 appears to be an improvement, so i'd say its worth it.
  • Where was kevin harvicks first win i know it was his 3rd start and does any one know if their was?

    May be...

  • Revell made a raced version of Harvicks Atlanta car from 2001.
  • Ya he won the week after Dale Earnhardts death which at the time was at Atlanta and yes there is a race version diecast of it you just have to look around.
  • atlanta
  • Harvicks win came at the 4th race of the year, Atlanta. He drove the 29, he started 5th and finished 1st great numerology 4-29-51 Earnhardt's birthday
  • Atlanta he beat out Jeff Gordon in a close finish it was his 3rd start not the week after earnhardt died like someone said the week after SR died they raced at The Rock in Rockingham , then at Vegas and his third start was at Atlanta in which he won . and yes their was a diecast made of the car
  • a raced version diecast of it?
  • His first win was at Atlanta. I don't know if a raced version was produced.
  • it was atlanta but it was NOT the week after earnhardt died, steve park won at rockingham the week after earnhardt died in the #1 penzoil DEI car.
  • And Yahoo Answers Most Popular Driver Award Goes To...?

    May be...

  • Beating his competitor 5 votes to 3, Tony Stewart wil rule out Jeff Gordon for the title of Yahoo Answers Most Popular Driver! Congratulations to Tony (even though he isn't a part of this) and all of his loyal fans.

Now to straighten some things up. I do realize this whole contest was screwed up. It didn't seem right to me either that only the first few answerer's opinions counted. But I could not think of a better way to do it and I feel sorry for all the fans who's opinions were just simple words. I apologize.

Thank you to all who participated and thank you Yahoo Answers. It's been a long day, but this was just a fun thing I felt like doing. In the end it came down to who's fans were there at the end and who's were more loyal. And in the end, it was Smoke who will take home the imaginary trophy. and win Yahoo Answers Most Popular Driver Award.

See ya, and enjoy the race at Chicagoland!
  • I didn't answer you poll. Sorry.
But I did make three grand today.
  • It was fun, Thanks!
  • Hey what about Brian Simo and Truex? lol
  • YES!!!!!!!!!!! Go Tony!!!! I am sooooo happy I wanted Tony to win so bad and he did! Congrats to Tony and Thank you to everyone who voted for him! U guys r the BEST!! To the Gordon fans- Better luck next time!!!

    GO SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I need a NASCAR opinion, and fast!!!!!!!!!!!!?

    May be...

  • Mark Martin
  • Thats a no brainier Mark Martin.
  • Mark Martin
  • Mark Martin

I would say one of the other two but they usually end up in wrecks.
  • Thats a tuff one...and not in a good way....so I am going to say.....of the three MAYBE David Ragan.
  • Mark Martin.
  • It's close between Mark Martin and Brian Vickers. Mark has a career best of 6th at Chicagoland and it's actually one of Brian's best tracks. In 3 races there, Vickers has a worst of 14th and a best finish of 4th, in 2005. I'd still go with Mark, he's a better driver in general.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • I disagree...Brian Vickers gets my vote.
  • I am picking fourteenth in my work pool for this week at Chicagoland. The driver's left to choose from are:
    David Ragan
    Brian Vickers or
    Mark Martin

Who do you think has the best chance of giving me a top five?

    Thanks!
  • Mark Martin has the best chance considering the momentum he has making that deal with Hendrick!
  • Brian Vickers
  • Mark Martin
will give you the better shot
  • I would go with Brian Vickers. Mark Martin has the best chance of a top five.
  • Mark Martin DEI Power go with it!
  • Mark Martin or Brian Vickers
  • It's going to be Brian Vickers! I am surprised more people haven't said that.
  • David Ragan he is due to win a race soon
  • not Martin....either of the other 2.....maybe regan, hes been putting in some good finishes of late
  • I'll wager that none of them even sniff the top 10, let alone a top 5.

but I agree with the first poster, go with Martin.
  • What is NASCAR worth?

    May be...

  • I was wondering: If someone like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc. wanted to buy NASCAR from the France family, how much would it cost? (I doubt the France's would ever allow it, but for the sake of curiosity) Has anyone ever seen a real amount put to it? This is just for NASCAR, not including the family's stake in ISC.
  • all the teams are worth about quite a few millions and everything els id guess around 1.5 bill. to 3 billion
  • i dont know but its in the billions
  • If it has great value now it's going to be considerably less if NASCAR continues on its path -mind set- of the only thing is making money and forgetting on putting on good stock car racing
  • If it were for sale, Bruton Smith would have already bought it. As for how much I think it's worth:
Two darns, a sackful of rats' butts, a bushel, a peck, and a hug around the neck.
  • 2 cents just ask Papa Bill
  • Why did that moron Theresa Ehrnhardt have to ruin DEI???

    May be...

  • shes a woman thats why
  • First of all you need to learn to spell, or use spell check, its quite simple...Teresa Earnhardt is not a moron.. Its just the economy right now, everyone has had to tighten their belts find a way to get it done, they are looking for a investor, just like several other teams have.... You wanna blame somebody, start with the moron in the white house George Bush, he's the real idiot everybody has financial issues now even me.. Teresa is a very savy business woman, yes she is not my favorite person.. I;m sure Truex Jr is probably gonna jump ship, but I'm sure they will fill that seat, theres MacMurray and Mears to name a few, she'll get it handled, she is probably very determined to make it work. Lets all not PANIC yet already..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • dei is going to fall off the nascar playing field after a couple years they are going to lose truex jr and they are in danger of losing the army sponsership
  • because of people like you
  • Since losing Junior she has had some problems, heck she has had some problems before he left. (Engines) Hopefully they can get in together and get back on track. I give them 2 years at the most.
  • Teresa just wants everyone to know that she can be a team manager and everyone should bow down and praise her
  • Because she's an idiot and wants to be in full control and now she's suffering with the team sucking and they prolly won't even be a team a few years from now.
  • Did you know if you wrote a couple hundred pages of that fiction, you could sell it as a novel?
  • First, good answer there few too many. Theresa didnt ruin DEI, economics have.

I just cant believe all of you are still bashing a woman that even Sr. said ran the family business and if it wasnt for her, DEI would never have gotten off the ground. Jr didnt offer to buy it, he just wanted her to GIVE IT TO HIM!!

Jr has done a bit of growing up, but it is my honest opinion that he is too immature to run a multi-million $ company. And before anyone brings up JR Motorsports, Kelly and Brenda are the brains behind that. HMMMM GO FIGURE......... Theresa was the brains behind DEI and Kelly is the brains behing JR Motorsports, anyone see a pattern here?
  • Hey brother you misspelled moe-run .
  • greed, the bad thing is she learnd nothing from dale or jr would still be there.
    gold digger
  • If not for Teresa there would be no DEI and the Intimidator wouldn't be half a s big a legend as he is remembered as. She was the business brains behind the company, Dale was the driving brains. Then he croaked and went to Hell, now the business brain is still there but the company needs more driving brain. Guess it's a good thing spoiled brat Junior left LOL!
  • Let's start things off here by saying that Teresa Earnhardt is not a moron. She is a great person. Second thing she is not selling Dale Earnhardt Inc. Third thing Dale Earnhardt Inc and all the other teams are defintely suffering from the economic struggles and the over the head gas prices. Next time think before you type.
  • why couldn't she just let JR buy it instead of running him off and THEN selling it. she sucks
  • First of all, Teresa Earnhardt didn't ruin DEI, she ruined Ginn Racing when DEI absorbed it last year. She managed to lose the only surviving Ginn team by the loss of Mark Martin and the Army sponsorship. (Regan Smith was a development Ginn driver and a part-time racer in Cup last year, so I won't count him.) Nobody's confirmed whether she'll be selling the team, and nothing's definite about Menard or Truex yet, but I see it very likely that if DEI does return next year, their stable will be back down to three cars. And Ginn Racing will just be a memory of the past, a fart in the wind. Sorry, Bobby.
  • Yeah she is a moron, I wouldn't be surprised if DEI is gone from the cup series in a couple years.
  • she's a step-mother
    step-mothers always does this
  • Give her a break. She is only human like the rest of us. She has to do whats best and I am sure she will. I can see this building into a media frenzy as she is looking to either sell or find substanial investors. There will be tons of "I told you soers" and people saying she deserves whatever she gets. As a Jr fan I have ran all forms of emotions throughout last years chaos and won't partake in any bashing of her or DEI. I am sure this isn't what Sr had in mind but he is gone now and times they are changing... The Petty dynasty sold out recently and is now not solely owned by the Petty's, this is an expensive operation to run and I can't even fathom the money it takes to keep one car running let alone 3 or 4... Especially if finding drivers is tough...
  • first of all it is Teresa Earnhardt.... and second of all she is no moron........ blame high gas prices and the economy going down the poo-per ! it's not the car owners fault, they are loosing money and sponsorships.... and second of all DEI is not for sale.... she is not loosing it check your facts Hun!
  • Who knows. In the next two or three years DEI wont be around.
  • stepmoms suck !
  • 8.7.08

How can you meet Nascar drivers at the Brickyard?

    May be...

  • do what i do and flirt with the security guards.......!

yes, they do have autograph sessions at the brickyard they usually are on Friday...... but some sign auto graphs at their trailers were they sell the stuff on Sundays.....! just go to Indianapolis motor speedway.com and it will give you all the info you need okay Hun!
  • You could buy a pit pass so then you could go on pit road( or lane) . Then you go up ti them and ask for autographs, the pre race show shows autographs.
  • I'm going to Nascar race at the Brickyard this year and I haven't been to it before. I was wondering if there was anyway to be able to meet the drivers before the race or if they had an special autograph sessions?
  • Will Jeff Gordon pick up a win at Chicagoland?

    May be...

  • naw, this is Kenseth time!
  • Wellllllll,,,,,,Ummmmm,,,,,I was kinda hoping for Jr., but I'm thinking Tony will win.

    Go Jr.>>>>
  • It would be nice to see Jeff win at Chicagoland. He's definitely due for a win.
  • i hope not. tony stewart will win.
  • Tony Stewart, if he can keep his FAT BUTT in the car!!
  • He does like Chicagoland & he is waaaay overdue but only time will tell. It sure would be nice to see him get one though they have all been working so hard, they need a win.
  • He will have a good chance but I'd say Kyle and Carl are still the drivers to watch.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • it will either be jeff gordon or tony stewart. they are both overdue.
  • In NASCAR, who do you think is the most influential team owner?

    May be...

  • Hendrick baby!!!
  • I think whatever Jack Roush wants, Jack gets or else he cries like a baby making him the most influential.
  • This can be a team owner from cup, Nationwide or Truck.

It can be a team owner who is active now or from the past.

    Please tell me why.

I am sure we have had this question before, but I’m asking it for my own curiosity.
  • That's tough with the likes of Jack Roush, Richard Childress and Joe Gibbs all fielding championship caliber teams. I would have to say Rick Hendrick because he dictates, to a degree, what other teams do more than any other owner does. He sets the standards that other teams would like to equal or surpass. Rick was one of the first owners, along with Joe Gibbs, to take advantage of the testing loophole and it paid off with the 2nd championship in a row for Jimmie Johnson. He was the first owner to really stress the importance of highly trained pit crews and he's never been a follower in the garage. From getting the latest and best equipment available for research and development to the personnel he hires, Rick is always striving for excellence in a way that pushes and influences all the other teams in the Sprint Cup Series.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Jack Roush
  • In today's NASCAR it would be a TIE between Rick Hendrick and Jack Roush. They are the biggest and most fiscally stable teams.

In the old days it would have been Junior Johnson.

It was rumored that Richard Petty had the "ear" of Bill France Jr. but does not have the same relationship with Brian.
  • Rick Hendrick. Rick has a good sense of business he picks winners and gets rid of losers. He has built his company through very tough times with losing his family in that plane crash a few years ago and especially losing his son Ricky. Rick is a fighter and he does not compromise that is why he and his organization is so darn good.
  • Teresa Earnhardt ( here comes thumbs down)
But I really respect her and find she is a great owner. Now I know everyones going to disagree with me which is fine but I think she is trying her hardest to keep the team up and running. She's done it for 7 years. Very good team owner and I respect her alot.
  • The Most Influential Team Owner in My Opinion in Cup is Rick Hendrick

I think that it is Rick Hendrick because he has the Best Drivers , the Best Team and the Most Elite Organization in NASCAR . He is very influential because he can get anyone on his team.

Go Dale Jr #88 and HMS
  • Hendrick hands down. You just dont get the 4 drivers hell have next year without being influential.
  • You're welcome and thank you for the compliments. Report Abuse
  • Rubens Barrichello?

    May be...

  • As Rosbif said, he plays the crowd and the crowd loves him. Rubens is one of the guys i would like to see on the podium on a regular basis:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikrLzSxXL...
  • I noticed that theyall do that, not just him.
  • Prob exhausted he just held up his 50 lb head for 1.5 hours
  • He's just playing to the crowd; Barrichello is one of the jokers on the F1 grid at the moment.
  • Rosbif's got it. Nice clip Gatorade. reminds me of the time when drivers had 'fun'.
You've just got to love Rubins
  • Whenever Rubens Barrichello secures a podium place in F1, he sprays his champagne, takes a big gulp of the stuff, then stumbles across the podium. He does it every time. Is there any reason why he does this?
  • He's not there very often, so maybe he justs forgets that the podium is there....
  • Has attendance been down at your local dirt track?

    May be...

  • our track is closed...not because the cost of fuel..the board fired the promoter..and because if the board not wanting to work with the last few promoters no one is taking the job..and now we have no racing..but many are going elsewhere even farther away///
it seem like the new promoter makes inprovements and gets attendence back up and then the board fires them...
  • I haven't been, so YES, it has. Makes sense. Racers can't afford fuel back and forth to the track. They stay home. Less cars= less fun and less spectators. When will the madness end?
  • At my local dirt track in Louisiana every week there are fewer cars and fewer fans, when I ask people about it their response always has something to do with gas prices. Race fuel is almost 8 dollars a gallon, not to mention the pump fuel used to pull a trailer.Thoughts?
  • At ours there is still a lot of cars but some Mods and Late Models are dropping out. We have never had very many fans so its about the same slightly less. Gas prices are effecting how many races we do and the prices of pit passes for family and crew!
  • 7.7.08

    Matt Kenseth with Robbie Reiser.

    Car: Ford
    Engine: Jasper/Penske horsepower
  • Just for fun: If you could start a team, and choose any four drivers, and any four crew chiefs, who would they be, and how would you pair them up?

Bonus: What make of car would you have? Chevy, Toyota, etc
Double Bonus: What engine department would you want building your engines? Hendrick? Yates? They can be switched to your brand pick.
  • Nothing to it

    Gordon

    Stewart

Under Hendrick. Johnson back to back Tony all around, Kyle hottest driver with obvious talent and Gordon is one of the best. What more could you ask for?

Crew Chiefs I would want Evernham, Boreland, Zippadeli, and Knauss

Ones I could get would be Boreland, Zippadelli, Knauss and Eury Sr.
  • jeff gordon and jimmie johnson both chevy, with hendrick motors
klye busch and tony stewart both toyota, with hendrick motors
  • Why isn't Nascar races being broadcast on Fox or any other local station anymore?

    May be...

  • Because TNT are now showing the races.
  • I dont know but its bullshit I travel for my job and was paying my motel by the week. The motel did not get TNN it was a small town with no sportsbar. The nearest other motel that had TNN was 80 miles away. I had to drive all the way there and rent a room for one night just to watch the race.
  • Here's a suggestion: go to www.nascar.com and during the race head over to the TNT Racebuddy, where live streaming coverage of the race is broadcasted.. there are four different camera angles, but no commentary, just the ambient sounds of the track.
  • fox and nbc cover the first half of the season or so, then it goes to TNT, and i think they do a few on cbs too.
  • Several stations (FOX, TNT and ESPN/ABC) pay NASCAR for broadcasting rights. That is why it switches through the season.

    Here is a run-down:
From Daytona to Dover in June, the races are broadcast on FOX.
From Pocono in June to Chicago in July, the races are broadcast on TNT.
From Indy in July to Homestead-Miami in November, the races are broadcast by ESPN/ABC. They will be on ESPN from Indy in July through California (September/Labor Day weekend). ABC will broadcast from Richmond in September and all of the Chase races, to the end of the season.

If you don't have cable, you will have to wait until September before you will see another race. Mark September 6th on your calendar! That is a Saturday night, and should be a great race because it is the final race before the Chase at Richmond!!!
  • because tnt espn and abc paid for the 2nd half of the season
  • Why isn't Nascar races being broadcast on Fox or any other local station anymore?

  • fox and nbc cover the first half of the season or so, then it goes to TNT, and i think they do a few on cbs too.
  • because tnt espn and abc paid for the 2nd half of the season

  • I dont know but its bullshit I travel for my job and was paying my motel by the week. The motel did not get TNN it was a small town with no sportsbar. The nearest other motel that had TNN was 80 miles away. I had to drive all the way there and rent a room for one night just to watch the race.

Why isn't Nascar races being broadcast on Fox or any other local station anymore?

  • Is it amazing or what that the two closest races in NASCAR history....????

    May be...

  • they didnt even get to cross the finish line last night
every body bltch at jr winning under caution whatcha call that
  • Actually in last years July Daytona race Jamie McMurray and Kyle had a closer finish than last nights. Jamie edged him out by .005 and it is tied for the 2nd closest finish in NASCAR history. I'm not sure how close they said last nights was, but if it was where the caution was waved it looked like Kyle was a hoods length ahead of Carl Edwards. But yeah, the Busch bro's hold the top 2 spots for close finishes. They can make a race exciting.
  • That finish was close, but not nearly close enough to be considered the 2nd or 3rd closest. But the 2nd closest DID involve Kyle Busch. Last year's 400 at Daytona, when Jamie Mac beat him. Just like his brother, he was the man in 2nd.
  • have Busch brothers involved??????

Well I am saying the two closest in history though I may be wrong...:
The closest finish in NASCAR history took place at the Darlington Raceway on March 16, 2003, Ricky Craven beat Kurt Busch by a mere .002 seconds. The two drivers actually finished the last stretch of the race with their cars touching!

I didn't get the actual point seconds count but I am sure that last nights Daytona race is a contender for the closest or second closest. Even if Carl, at his classiest, said he felt he was second at the finish line, they had to replay the tape to decide. What do you think??? Will the Craven/Busch race be unsurped by the Busch/Edwards finish???
  • Im not a fan of the bush bros but you are right. The Darlington race the last 4 to 5 laps were the best I have ever seen.
  • bestanswer has it correct - those two busch bros have the closest races in cup series history (the trucks have one or two that were closer - one was 1/1000th of a second difference). the sad part is that in both instances, the busch brothers were on the losing end of the closest races. oh well, they've more than made up for it throughout their careers and will hold those records a long time.
  • I don't think that a close finish when the yellow came out can be considered the same as a close finish when racing to the checker. But the Craven/Busch finish was incredible.

    go Jr.>>>>
  • Serious Mark Martin question?

    May be...

  • Mark actually said he though long and hard about it. he said if he doesn't take the opportunity to race for one last chance at a championship, then then he would wonder about it for the rest of his life. I think he could handle it if he doesn't still have the ability to do it, but not if he doesn't win a cup in his life because he doesn't try. This season, he has started 13 races, had 2 top five finishes, and 6 top tens. Kevin Harvick has 2 top fives and and 5 top tens and is currently in 13th in the standings on 18 races, so Martin would probably be a contender for the Chase if he had only run the other 5 races, if he had only finished in the top 25 in those 5 races. Not to mention, he has said he feels alot younger now than he did a few years ago. As much as alot of people hate HMS, they Have some great cars, and that is something that Martin has never Really had in his career. I will be excited to see him give it his last shot, even though i'd prefer to see him in a JGR toyota. I also believe you'll see a little bit more an aggressive Martin, since he will know its his last chance.
I seriously expect him to make the chase for the cup, and probably finish in the top 5 in the standings. And a top 5 finish in the series is in no way tarnishing anyones legacy.
  • interesting point. i think mark is he's own person. and if he thought he was making a mistake, then he wouldn't have done it.
  • he does his best to stay in the race
  • First let me say, I admire Mark Martin, and his career. But lets take a look at this objectively. Mark Martin is 49 years old, he has not won a race since Kansas 2005. I know there is a lot of hype with him in the 5 car, but could he be making a mistake, that would damage his legacy? Look at the last few years of Rusty Wallace, Darrel Waltrip, Dale Jarret, and even the King Richard Petty. Aside from Rusty making the chase (although winless), all these guys struggled and many would say they held on too long. What if the schedule is too much, and Martin is just an "also ran" the entire 2009 season? Doesn't he have enough money? Someone would split a ride with him to run a partial. Martin has always been a "play it safe" driver, but has anyone noticed how far that goes with him now? Again, I like Martin, but is he making a mistake?
  • He's a good guy, but he got all of his wins from Roush. Whether or not he's good with HMS, that 5 car could be left for a young gun who needs a shot. The Mark Martin era is over, and he will never be the same Mark Martin as he was with Roush Fenway. I say we should get Brad keselowski or Jason Leffler or some Nationwide driver in the 5, not a semi-retired 49-year-old who can only be great if he's in a Ford.

PS. I am a fan of Mark Martin, but yes, he's making a mistake.
  • He's not making a mistake. Racing is what he does. If he wants to put a ton of effort into one more season he should go for it. He's good enough and HMS has better cars than he's been driving. Even if he only wins one race, he will make a better contribution to the team and be of better support to the #24, #48, & the #88. So basically it's a good thing. I would rather see Mark get a decent chance and "wring the life outta him", than to see him retire. He can retire in 2010. That's a pretty fair compromise. don't you think?
  • yes he already "retired" he should get out and leave the driving to the young guns who are winning. I cant believe Rick Hendrick let Kyle go and made the mistake of putting Casey Mears in and now Mark Martin?? Wake up Rick. Should have put Truex in the car for next yr. He and jr work good together.
  • I say "Let them race until they become a danger to themselves and to the other drivers". I think he has a few more years to go......and so did Dale Jarrett and Jimmie Spencer.....but that's another subject.
  • Who is the idiot sports announcer in this video that keeps blaming the 88 car for Jimmie Johnson wrecking?

    May be...

  • i don't like those announcers too much. Something about their nasal, monotone drone, synchronizes with the wrong part of my brain and kinda bores me. Actually it's just this one guy, but I guess i'm saved from name dropping. Kinda, sorta.
    thanks anyway TNT
  • You have got to be kidding me. Stop crying because jr might just happen to be at fault for the first time in his career. The commentators didn't blame anybody. They just said what might have triggered it. Big difference. It was nobodys fault. Just the end of the race and everybody was racing hard.
  • i'm not sure, but i kept looking and looking and couldn't tell what the heck he was talking about... what a bonehead - probably the same guy who i swear confused kurt and kyle at least twice during the race, and that's when they weren't running near each other...

ps. it's wally dallenbach. and re-watching, i can see what he thinks he is talking about, but he makes it sound like it was their fault, not the guys behind them who couldn't control themselves. "it's the eight car, the eight car and the 88 slowed down, and i can't tell who's behind the 88..."
  • The man in the 88 just cant drive
  • I just want to know his name and how to contact this ****head. He says "It starts with the 88 wiggling" and the wreck was like 2 cars behind Dale Jr. This guy made repeated statements of how Jr started it and after all of the rewinds never once tried to correct his statement.

Who is the guy that made that statement?
  • yeah somebody got inthe side of jr to start that
you right he is a dlckhead
  • You are right. Dale JR doesnt screw up so no one can blame him for anything. It was sort of wierd how he just happened to be a major player in most of the big wrecks last night. I can count about 4 drivers that he almost spun out but luckily they have better car control than him. And the 88 wiggling caused Johnson to have to slow down and is what triggered the wreck. JR just cant handle the pressure.
  • Wally Dallenbach, he's ALMOST as much of a rambling idiot as Kyle Petty

If you watch the video, Jr. got loose.

That caused the drivers behind him to check-up.

The wat the COT is configured the driver behind you cant see through your back window like the old cars. So they cant see if you are signaling that there is trouble ahead.

The next thing they know is you have clompped on the brakes and they are in your rear end.(no pun intended).

So, many times the wreck may happen in the 12-20 position area, but the problem may have been caused by one of the top 10 drivers.

No-one at fault, just racin'. But I think the wing that essentially blocks the view forward certainly played a big role in that incident.
  • Wally Dallenbach I dont know if i spelled it right he used to drive i think for hendrick for a couple years back
  • It was Blaney!! WHAT A SCRUB, i was pissed!!!!!!!!!
  • Wild Finish At Daytona...agree or disagree?? kyle on a roll and an eye on championship?

    May be...

  • I do. Absolutely on his way to the Championship. .
Race it. Take it. Bring it on home.
  • How about that #18, from a spin, back of pack to a WIN!!! wtg Gibbs Team Toyota...who believes he is on his way to the championship??
  • Kyle Busch is GOOD! It's always a wild finish when Kyle is leading the race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • i do believe, i have believed, and i will believe all the way to homestead.

as for your main question, i believe kyle has not one, but both eyes and his sights fully set on the championship. but it's still a ways away; here's hoping he keeps his eyes on that prize, all the way into his sweaty little palms...

that race was AWESOME, and i don't even like to use that word. but kyle's performance saving that car as he did in his minor mixup with denny, sliding all the way back, then coming all the way to the front to win was just amazing - not to mention all the other bumps and bangs and slides and saves along the way. even if he hadn't won, i still would have been awestruck by his performance.

    sweetness. serious sweetness.
  • Give me three reasons why........?

    May be...

  • dale jr cuz hes a lefty like me.... and hes hot=]
  • Dale Jr- is my sentamental favorite, because of his Dad. Also, He is fun to cheer for. He always gives %100. He has a true drive to win. I enjoy watching him in restrictor plate races. He is one of the best at drafting. I've never seen anybody use the "side draft" like Jr. Awsome

Tony Stewart- Can drive anything. He is probably the best Driver in the sport. Although Tony can come accross as a smart alleck, he has a big heart. He is a giving person.

Kevin Harvick-I like him because he is so close to his wife. I think she is his number one teamate and that is sweet. I also like his bad boy attitude. He is funny when he gets mad.

Jeff Burton- Although he has never won a championship, he has been pretty consistant over the years. He may not have that many wins, but he is top 10 material. Next to Mark Martin, he is one of those guys that I would love to see get that championship. Also, he is a great guy. I was able to get his autograph, because he stayed late and signed for everybody that wanted his autograph.

Elliott Sadler is just a likable person. He is energetic.
When he has good equipment and luck, he is really good. Also, he is a true Country Boy. I like that.

Denny Hamlin I like him because he came into Nascar with flare. He was great as a rookie and is still consistant.

Kenseth is the silently Mr consistant for sure. You don't hear much about him, but he is a contender most of the time.

Kasey Kahne is hot when he is on a roll. He is so good at the intermediate tracks. Also, he had so much patience and kept a good attitude after finishing 2nd soooo many times before his first win.

Michael Waltrip is a good restrictor plate drafter. I like it because he was such an underdog. When Dale Sr gave him a real chance, he came through.

Mark Martin is a champion in my heart. He has been so close so many times. He is a good driver at any track.

My true favorite is Dale Jarrett. He was so good back in the 1990's. He could win at any track on any day. A 3 time Daytona 500 champion. The only driver to win the triple crown of Nascar the Daytona 500, Coke 600, and the Brickyard all in the same year. He was one of the cleanest racers ever. Now I follow Edwards. He can drive the wheels off of a car.
  • dale earnhardt jr.- hes hot. he's left handed. he;s still driving even though his dad died in a race he won.
  • I like JR. cause he's awesome and for so many reasons I won't say

I like Tony because he's Jr.'s drafting partner

    I hate Harvick

I like Burton because he's a good spokesman

    I hate Sadler

I like Denny because he's aggressive but he doesn't take it too far

    I like Kenseth because he's Jr.'s friend

I like Kahne because he sponsors Budweiser which Dale Jr. used to sponsor

I like waltrip because he's funny

I like mark martin because he drives the 8 car, he'll drive for Hendrick next year, and he races clean.
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.~ Nice guy, laid back, races cleanly
Tony Stewart~ Very charitable, Prelude to the dream, interview comments make me laugh
Kevin Harvick~ Funny guy, straight forward, races fairly
Jeff Burton~ Intelligent, respectable, races cleanly
Elliott Sadler~ HILARIOUS (LOVE the Sonoco commercial), cool guy, he's hot, LOL
Denny Hamlin~ He has nice teeth, his eyes are pretty, his race car is pretty (I don't care for him, so I was stretching it!)
Matt Kenseth~ clean racer, laid back, not aggressive
Kasey Kahne~ talented, races fairly, awesome personality
Michael Waltrip~ always funny to listen to, hilarious commercials, honest
Mark Martin~ finishes well, finishes well, finishes well (again, a stretch!)
  • you like
    dale earnhardt jr
    tony stewart
    kevin harvick
    jeff burton
    elliot sadler
    denny hamlin
    matt kenseth
    kasey khane
    michael waltrip
    mark martin
and what makes them such a great nascar driver?
  • Dale Jr. One reason, he's hot.
  • dale earnhardt jr - Don't like him so can't answer...it's cool that he's left handed, though
tony stewart - Tells it like it is, hates to lose, left handed
kevin harvick - not a big fan but I used to like him a lot, he is a great driver, aggressive, and entertaining
jeff burton - calm, clean, consistent
elliot sadler - funny, good at road courses, has some awesome wrecks
denny hamlin - like his personality, very good ever since he burst on the scene, a ton of talent
matt kenseth - not a big fan of his either but he races you how you race him and is consistent
kasey khane - performs well even on a team that is not as good as some others, races pretty clean, nice
michael waltrip - funny, funny, funny
mark martin - clean racer, fast, still can drive good even at his age

I'm not the worlds biggest fan of Tony Stewart but out of all those drivers I would have to say he is the best pure racer of all of them. He can win in anything you put him in.
  •
