Who will take the nationwide win at Dover today?

May be...

  • 1 driver please
  • Jamie McMurray is going to pull it off tonight!!! Cant wait.
  • Jeff Gordon.... I hope!
  • The winner is going to be Kyle Busch.

Mike Bliss will lead a little and finish 2nd. Keselowski I predict will have some crappy pit stops but finish 3rd. Then Scott Wimmer will take 2 tires sometime in the race and come in 4th. On the last lap, David Reutimann will get hit by Logano and Leffler and go from 6th to 17th. That is my prediction.
  • DALE JR!!!!
  • Brad K
  • David Ragan
  • I am going to say....hmmm...just guessing here....KYLE BUSCH!!!!

    ROFL

  • Kevin Harvick..... maybe... hopefully...
  • Everyone by now knows crybaby----uh, I meant Kyle Busch won this race. I am disappointed Keselowski never even contended. The good Poles of the world were not well represented in racing today. Oh well. Have a nice weekend all!
  • Joey Lagano

EDIT: Can I go with Johnny Chapman or Morgan SHepherd?
  • I think if you gotta guess anyway,
might as well use the brain and say Kyle Busch.
  • My guess would be Kyle Busch...
  • Carl Edwards

    j
  • no doubt. kyle takes it on his way to sweeping the weekend. of course, i say that every weekend...
    ;-)
  • Im late Greenbean but I wanted to answer anyways. Im taking the :

    <<<Red X!

Have a great weekend everyone and good luck to your drivers!
  • I'm gonna win
  • kyle busch
  • Brad Keselowski driver of the US Navy JR Motorsports Chevy #88. Go get'um Brad.

Go Dale Jr & Hms & JR Motorsports
  • As much as I hate to admit it, the combination of driver and car all points towards Kyle Busch. That 18 car has been damn near unbeatable in Nationwide, and Kyle dominated at Dover earlier this year...

So, Kyle Busch is my pick...
  • David Stremme
  • Concrete Carl Edwards. A good day for a back flip!
  • NASCAR TRIVIA CAN YOU NAME THE DRIVER OF?

    May be...

  • It was the white # 1 ford. It was driving by Dick Brooks and Morgan Shepard.
  • I'm finding Morgan Shepard started one race in car #1, a ford, at Darlington.

And Dick Brooks started three races, all fords, #1, at Daytona, Rockingham and Atlanta.

    Tough one!
  • I wouldn't say it was easy. Its been a long time, but if I remember correctly that was when Maurice was the Petty in Petty Enterprises. It was a Ford, which I remember being a bit surprised at as the Petty's had a history with Mopar and Pontiac. Now the driver was Dick Brooks, but I think Morgan Shepard ran a few races there too.

The car was number 1, and I believe it was only the number that was Petty blue on a white car. I don't remember a sponsor and I am not sure it had one. I also don't remember if it ran the full season. It was a very tough time for the Petty's. How'd I do???
  • Petty Enterprises only Winston Cup entry in 1985????

No it wasn't Richard Petty....in 84 and 85 he and the #43 was with
    Mike Curb Racing.
No it wasn't Kyle Petty......in 85 he signed to drive for the Wood Bros.

Can you name the driver? The car #? The mfg? No it wasn't Pontiac!
    Was it Petty blue????????

Have I stumped you or is this one pretty easy???? Good luck!!!!

If Hendrick Motorsports continues to win the championship every year will NASCAR cut their horsepower down?

    May be...

  • I agrue with Betty.
    I mean agree.
    ...with Beth
  • yeah sure, thats a great idea.

you really dont think things threw do you?
  • I also agree with GreenBean
    no
  • no no no
    no
  • The engines were tested 4 times last year. Dodge and Toyota had slightly more power than Chevrolet so no restrictions were placed on Chevy.

It takes more than power to win a championship.

The cup engines are fairly equal in power. None have had their power cut.
  • I doubt they will win every year. I guess we will have to wait and see if they do, before we can debate on whether they should or should not cut their horsepower down, since I don't consider three championships in the last nine years to be totally out of the ordinary.
  • yup they a sure a will there. they will a know its a consperacy.......
  • no. They'd have to do all of Chevy if they want to cut horsepower and nobody thinks DEI or Haas CNC has too much horsepower.
  • thank you someone on here who noes something why dont we put the same engines in every car so we some actual skill not some dam engineer in a shop
  • Probably not.
I try to believe it's not favoritism but sometimes it's hard not to.
  • The answer is no! There is no way NASCAR would be that unfair. They only did that to Toyota because they were winning most of the races in nationwide events.
  • I agree with greenbean
    No no no.

  • Let me guess, it's "all driver" when they win.
  • Every year? You certainly have a strange definition of "every".

Since 1999, Hendrick has won 3. Hardly my definition of "every"...but hey, to each his own I guess.

P.S. Gibbs also has 3 Cups in the same period of time. Go figure.
  • What does DNF stand for in Nascar racing?

    May be...

  • did not finish
who give rockin racin 29 thumbs down
    and for what
  • it stands for what kyle dose or causes someone to do almost every race by the way if you rember me saying if kyle dosent crash for 10 strait races i will become his fan well guess what he crashed last week and 9 weeks left so im not a fan :P
  • In the standings they have Pole position, wins, and DNF whats DNF??
  • Did not finish
  • The Prez got it. Did not finish. That is a very, very bad thing to have happen.
  • Did Not Finish. The reason for a DNF is that either a driver got in an accident so bad they couldn't finish the race or they blew an engine or broke a critical part in their car like to motor or axles.
  • Dale's Nude Female's
  • Yup, DNF stands for did not finish. Something Kevin Harvick hasn't had in almost 2 full seasons (knock on wood).
  • Did
    Not
    Finish.
  • Did Not Finish

If somebody crashes or has a catastropich failure and didn't finish the race on the track, then he recieves a DNF. He still finishes in a certain spot and gets points. They only put DNF in the stats.
  • Did Not Finish...
  • Did Not Finish......
  • did not finish
  • the obvious!
    d- did
    n- not
    f- finish

i kno, i have trouble with these things at first!!
  • What is your favorite automobile racing video game?

    May be...

  • Tough to pick one out.
Still have a soft spot for Project Gotham Racing, the 2nd one, amazingly realistic but not to technical.
  • Gran Turismo 3. I really like the F1 cars and tracks in the higher levels
  • Big buck hunter
  • Does Kyle Busch "have to" have a top 10 finish this week to stay in the hunt?

    May be...

  • With the level of competition, I believe he really needs a top ten this week to stay competitive for the remainder of the chase. He stumbled last week, and he needs to hit his stride this week.
  • no, but if he doesn't get a top 10 here and at kansas then his championship hopes are officially crushed.
  • Well if you notice last year, every driver was given a "muligan". Usually Talladega was theirs. It would depend on how the others do for the rest of the chase.
  • you can't count him out ever but i wish he finishes grappy 9 more races. GO JR.GO
  • I think that after last week's finish, Kyle definitely would need a top 10 finish to stay up with the leaders. It seems that all the chase drivers do well when the chase starts and all it takes is a couple of bad races and it could all be over.
  • Absolutely. There will be several drivers ahead of him in the standings right now that get top 5s and top 10s this week. If he loses another 50 or more points to them his championship aspirations will be down this year. I am afraid of how his menatality on the track might change if that happens. If you think he's aggressive now just wait to see how he goes all out if he is no longer points racing in the cup series.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • If either Carl Jimmie or Gregg gets a top 5 this week and Kyle doesn't get a top 10 then he is going to struggle.

"Just my stinky opinion" ... what's that suppose to mean? LOL
  • I don't think he literally has to but emotionally I think it is mandatory or he will be finished.............Just my stinky opinion.
  • No. He is 70 some points behind with 9 weeks left. All he has to do is gain about 8 points a race on first. Not that difficult. A couple wins will put him near the top. If he has a bad race at Dover, then he has something to worry about I think. I don't think he needs a top 10; just not a finish in the 30s.
  • It all depends on the competition.
It is very strong this year.
He has got to be in the top 10 for the rest of the chase.
Or I really dont think he has a shot of the championship.
  • So Roush has had 3 engines stolen....does Jack......?

    May be...

  • I like superdave's answer

but I think I'll go with B (since he thinks their evil, who better to blame, right?) LOL

edit: LOL tom that was great!!
  • I still think it's funny that they stole a "Penske" rental van to steal the "Roush" engine's! If the rental van was a Chevy, that would leave out the big 3 and it would HAVE to be TRD.

TRD's headquarters: "Tonight's mission is to deface the Big 3 and come back with atleast 2 of Jack's engines."

    That's funny!

Maybe it was Kyle Busch! No...wait, no sway bar Heim joints were stolen.
  • A) Instantly blame MWR due to them stealing before????
    B) Point the finger at TRD....SINCE HE CALLS THEM EVIL???
    C) Hold a huge press conference tomorrow stating he has had
enough and will retire effective immediately
    D) Discover that he HIMSELF misplaced them and finds them
at "Roush Light" but doesn't say anything so that Toyota
    will take the heat?????

Not hating Jack or Toyota....just posting this to have some fun.
    Tell me what you think!!!!
  • Here's what I think. It's all one big conspiracy theory. Here's how it started. Robby Gordon is having a hard time with GEM with the lawsuit so he decided to go back to Ford next year. With the Dodges struggling, he offered fellow Dodge drivers Elliott Sadler and Kurt Busch a ride with Ford next year and all they have to do is join him in stealing three Ford motors to get a head start on 2009. Kurt was able to get a Penske Rental truck and the plan was for Elliott to be a "master of disguise" and go in there as a delivery man to pick up three motors. We all know how bad poor Elliott's luck is, he got a flat tire on the truck and plowed it into the wall by accident. They decided to just steal them really quick but in the rush they grabbed Nationwide and Truck Series motors. Now Robby, Elliott, and Kurt are somewhere in Mexico without motors for next year but it's ok, they have an endless supply of Miller Lite and Jim Beam. Their presence in Dover this weekend is still up in the air.
  • i'm not a fan of foreign cars in NASCAR, so i won't comment. GO CHEVYS
  • no
  • C) would make me happiest lol.
  • I'd say A and B. Hehe. I'm sure he'd love to say it was Toyota in some way shape or form.
  • I think B is going to be his first choice
  • He blames Jamie Mcmurray and fires him. Thats bascially what he wants to do anyway I think.
  • I think it was the Camburgler...
    Robble Robble!
  • i'll go with D BEINGS NOBODY ELSE DID
  • e) jack immediately puts out a reward for the arrest of the five speed freaks suspected of stealing his three engines. as you read this, the men are staring at hundreds of engine parts strewn about a seedy extended-stay motel room on the outskirts of town, arguing about how to organize them - alphabetically by part name, by part number, by shape, or by weight. their plan, drawn on the wall using eleven different colored magic markers, is to build one really big V-24 engine, using any leftover parts to build two lamps, a fifteen-speed fan, and a toaster oven with its own remote control.

next tuesday, the police - acting on a tip from a local liquor store owner the men approached to trade a coffee table with eight cup holders for nine cases of beer, two bottles of jack daniels, a carton of marlboros, seven lighters, two cans of lighter fluid, a swiss army knife, and two boxes of king-size snickers bars - will storm the seedy motel to find all five men and two local strippers passed out in the motel room and be unable to wake them for two days. they will all be found surrounded by parts from two of the three engines mixed in with parts from the refrigerator, two television sets, the stove, springs from the bed, and pipe taken from inside the wall behind the shower.

the most damaging piece of evidence against the men will be found in a closet down the hall in the motel laundry room: http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/imag...
  • My answer was A before I read everyone else's answers, now I think it was Tom that stole his dang engines!!! That's a very elaborate cover up story he's come up with.

    Fess up..

Plzz help -what devises and techniques used to measure time in a motor race (eg formula one) ?

    May be...

  • .

    Ah! My forte!

Until the late 80's it was the sundial and the gregorian calender......

Pls see other answers for recent updates....I thank you!!

EDIT: THX Firefox, got me outta the sh*t again. I knew there'd been some improvements made....I think sundials were phased out cos of cloud cover?? Rosbif.............??

    .
  • Sundials are set to comeback in the second half of 2009, especially in the wet races.

On a serious note, they use transponders mounted in each car and an elaborate sensor network to monitor lap times. The link below should give a detailed technical description.
  • plzzz name the devises and techniques used to measure time on motor raceing ! plzz give any good links if u no !! thanx if u no the answer plzz give it in detail !! thanx !
  • What do you think of the penalties issued in the Craftsman truck series?

    May be...

  • I think they are just. I hope that they take up Las Vegas Motor Speedways offer and have a tug of war before the race. That would be fun to watch. I was proud of David Starr, and the way he stood up for himself.
  • YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!

Starr came out of the truck swinging at anything in his way.

    And he is not suspended?

Something is so wrong there. I don't think there should be any suspensions, but how can you suspend someone that is defending himself and not the person that started the physical fight?

  • David was in his truck when that mob went running to him...he shouldn't have been penalized at all.
  • Emotions run high but Starr took out 3 trucks. Hardly an accident.

I disagree with the severity of David Starr's penalty. He was basically dragged from his truck and was just trying to defend himself.
  • They should let them do that tug-of-war.
  • I was very happy to see the instigator take a shot to the forehead. Way to go David.

Too excessive to David Starr. He could have picked up a floor jack and hit that guy and I would still think he should have been vindicated.

The only darn truck race I miss in 2 years and I miss that action. Sheesh!
  • To quote Mr. Horse from Ren & Stimpy, "No sir, I don't like it."
  • I don't know. I didn't see it who fought. It's random one driver, all team owners, all crew chiefs, a few crew members, confusing IMO!
  • I guess they were OK. Bodine's team overreacted. It's just racing and New Hampshire trucks are like that. Starr's team had every right to do what they did. I think that when you are hit, you should retaliate.

    - despite the fact that I hate Robby Gordon. That seems to also be his pholosophy.
  • I agree with you....I dont think the guy that gets approached at his vehicle and comes out to defend himself should get as severe of a penalty as the instigator.....if any penalty at all.

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!
  • Absolutely not. He could have been in a lot more trouble. A $10,000 fine with no points assessed or races to sit out is a good penalty. He came out of that car swinging and if he didn't want to be part of the action he could have just stayed in his truck. (He would have been called a sissy by everyone who watched the race, but he wouldn't have been fined.) So he chose a fine for the sake of his pride. Sounds like he made a good deal to me. (What's $10,000 in nascar dollars? three sets of tires and wrench?)

Besides all of that, David Starr is lucky the fight was broken up when it was considering all the stupidity he was showing on the track. He knocked out three trucks with the exact same move, in the exact same corner.. and two from the same team? You know he caused more that $10,000 damage that day.
  • David Starr was swinging too once he got out of the truck.

They should have a ring on the infield for people to confront other people in so as not to start a riot. They nearly had a riot going on. That is the same thing that makes going to nightclubs less enjoyable is chaos.
    --
For those who didn't see it heres the video.
    http://www.nascar.com/video/truck/2008/0...
  • I think it was kinda like the "good 'ol days" when everything got settled, either in the vehicles on the track, or out of the vehicles on the infield.

What driver do you think is most appreciative...?

    May be...

  • I used to think Denny Hamlin and then he turned out to be a real jerk. I would say David Reutimann.
  • It would have to be Carl Edwards who always gives his winning trophy away to a sick child.................
  • He's not any wins this year.. but Mark Martin seems appreciative to just still be here !!
  • I'd go with David Reutiman as well.He seems like he's glad to be racing and he did resign with MWR
  • I think they all are appreciative of their positions. Some just show it less at times. i.e. Tony throwing a fit over second place finish.
  • I would say Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson and David Ragan, in order starting with the most appreciative driver.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Mark Martin. He's so humble, you'd think his driving had nothing to do with his success.
  • Mark Martin although he hasnt had much of a year
  • Ricky Bobby..not far but he sure is funny....
  • Jimmie Johnson said he never expected to be a 2-time defending champ. So i will go with him.
  • Jimmie Johnson, he never seems to have gotten greedy with all his wins.
  • Kevin Harvick. No wins yet. 2 busch championships. Sprint Cup Championship is around the corner for him
  • I think Jeff Burton. He knows how lucky he is and is very appreciative of what he has. He has seen first hand on how fickle this sport is. He has watched his brother win the Daytona 500 just to not even have a career less than 5 years later. He knows he is lucky and he remembers where he came from.
  • I think Biffle.
  • Casey Mears. Although he hasn't won any races this year, I think he will surprise us in 2009. Report Abuse
  • Jeff Gordon since he might not win one this year, he's grateful he has 4 championships and 81 wins so far in his career!
  • Bobby Labonte & Terry Labonte.
They've both stated that their parents couldn't afford for them to race, and yet always found ways to get the money so that they could follow their dreams, and how much they appreciate it.
They're both very humble about their accomplishments, and are active in charity work with their foundation..
  • I would say Jeff Burton, or Bobby LaBonte, because they grew up when drivers were driving their family cars. So I think they appreciate it for how far the sport has come, and that they can be involved in it. And the fact that they both have done well.
  • Jimmie Johnson seems to be appreciative
  • David Reutimann. He never bad mouths his MWR equipment, and we all know he would have every right. He just wants to race. I guess that attitude is why I pull for him to get a good finish every week.
  • David Reutimann: He never does have a bad thing to say about how crappy his equipment is. He had a chance to leave but he is staying with Micheal. I think he is really appreciative to Mikey for giving him a chance.
  • I'd have to go with Reuitman, he never says one bad thing, and seems to be a good driver.
Bifflel never says to much, but feel like he's pretty appreciative too.
  • I'm going with Maggs on this one and say Jeff Gordon. If he's not most appreciative of the life/career that Hendrick/Nascar has given him, then he's worse of a human being than I thought. Though I imagine that is not the case.
  • OK no surprise but I have to say Junior. After he won Michigan the guy almost cried and thanked everyone in the world except Teresa..LOL!! I know I got pretty teary eyed myself. The best part I was there at the track to see it all!

  • Although he hasn't won a cup race yet, David Reutimann seems very appreciative. He's humble and always acts grateful for the opportunities he's been given.
The guy's loyal, too. He could have gotten another - maybe better - ride when his contract with MWR was up, but he chose to stay. I admire that.
  • For how far he has gotten, for his wins, ect.
  • David Ragan. Granted, he doesn't have a win. But, this kid's job was on the line last year and he has stepped up his performance in both series. I think he is very grateful for the opportunities that he has.
  • Im going with Carl Edwards or Mark Martin. Or so they say they are.
  • I would say Greg Biffle.... it was a shame he didn't make the Chase last year, and I'm sure he's really ecstatic about the EARNED win at Loudon... if the win at Kansas boosted him, this should really propel him to the top!
  • Carl Edwards.
  • Jeff Gordon has said time and time again that he is thankful for what he had and where he was.
  • jeff burton

    Have a wonderful Wednesday, Greenbean!

You may be wondering why I'm here... shouldn't I be in school? Oh wait, the powers been out all over Ohio for 3 days!!!

Edit: Most of the electricity where I live has been restored, but a few of my fellow friends unfortunately still don't have power... must be hard on them. Darn Hurricane Ike...

Edit #2: How in the world could someone give someone else a thumbs down if they're honoring someone??
  • My favorite Nascar hat is a #2 Miller Genuine Draft "Rusty's Last Call" hat from his special MGD paint scheme from the 2005 Chicagoland race.

WTG greenbean, you rock! Keep it up! Give'em heck! Have a great day!
  • GreenBean you rock! I love your straight up no bs answers.

    Have a great day!

I like to wear just a hat that says 'Nascar Full Throttle' on it.

    http://jkenterprises.org/store/image/r8w...
  • Hmmmmm......I have alot of Harvick Hats, Dont think i really have a fav. cuz they are all cool hats.....he he he.....but i prefer to wear my Harvick visors, they seem to look better on me than a big mans hat sittin on my head...and they dont have a cool line of hats for ladies yet.....the ones i have seen are boring.....

    Enjoy your day as well.....

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!!
  • Amp/Mountain /Dew
    xoxoxoxox to Green Bean!
  • The one I wear is Juniors new camo hat. I have a tote full of #3 & #8 hats plus some from the tracks I've been too but I don't wear them.

    Ah Green Bean...you ROCK!!!
Luv your straight up answers and the way you handle those dang trolls. You're another one of my favorite contacts. Enjoy your day, you sure deserve it. =o`)
  • I'm not a hat person, by my cat Cabo Wabo, has his Dale Jr cap that he wears during the race.. Green Bean you Rock Dude, enjoy your day, love your answers, and you do not back down to anyone, its you day enjoy it to the max..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • My favorite hat (I wear it during races) is my Jimmie Johnson pit cap from the first half of the season in 2006. That's when he won the Daytona 500, Vegas and Talladega. Those early season wins started his path to his first championship. I also like my 2006 Nextel Cup Champion hat, it's black and yellow instead of black and blue like the pit cap. GreenBean is funny and I like the way he just tells it like he sees it. He doesn't worry about being pollitically correct, he really speaks from his gut. Have a great day GreenBean and keep fighting the good fight man.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • my amp hat
thank you thank you very much
    yall all cool
it is better when school starts aint it
  • My Matt Kenseth DeWalt Hat !!
No kisses here Greenbean... but i tip my Dewalt hat to ya dude!!
    Enjoy your day!
  • my #88 of course!

greenbean you crack me up with your answers and your attacks on the trolls keep up the good work and have a great day!
  • My brand new Jr. Camo hat (like the camo car he drove earlier this year)

    Rock on Green Bean!
  • I don't wear hats, so I can't really answer that.

Congrats Greenbean, I always look forward to seeing your answers.
  • I wear a white hat with checkered flags on it when I attend races. My only other hats are a black leather #3 that I don't wear but keep for sentimental value, a red bud #8 hat that just hangs in the closet and a M&M #18 hat that I wear around town sometimes to hold my hair back.

(((GreenBean)))) A sweetiepie!! (I hope you don't mind me calling you that...lol)
One of my favorite Jr. fans!!

Here's two to you...[_]]...[_]}...and one for me..[_]}...CHEERS my friend! Enjoy your day!!!
  • This one is my fave, and I own the exact hat in the Amp version and I correspond which hat I wear with which car is being driven that weekend.

    http://nascar.imageg.net/graphics/produc...

I also have this one (and the Amp version) but I don't like it as much because I prefer fitted hats.

    http://nascar.imageg.net/graphics/produc...

Enjoy your day GB...you (like myself) are a straight shooter and a great Dale Jr fan! I always enjoy your answers and your relentless attacks on the trolls.
  • My two favorite hats have to be my Green Dale Jr. hat that i have autographed by him (at Talladega Spring Race) and a Navy Blue Talladega hat signed by Dale Jr., Jimmy Johnson, Mark Martin, and Kevin Harvick. A buddy of mine who make the NASCAR Tour with the FIREBALL SPEEDWAY (some of yall might know who I am talking about) got me FULL ACCESS passes for the Dega race that got me into ANYTHING... I ended up in the Drivers Camping area helping my friend get prizes for the FIREBALL SPEEDWAY campionships (if you know about it youll understand) and he told me to get my hats signed while i was there.
  • My favorite hat is a blue one with Carquest on the front and a #5 in the back with Kyle's signature over the 5.
I have an M&M's hat, but it's not as worn in and comfy as the Carquest one.

Here's to you GreenBean!!! For not backing down to the trolls who tried running you out of here, I'm glad you stood your ground.
    Enjoy your day.
  • MY NEW HAT IS THE OLD SHOOL MT DEW HAT.MY OLD FAVORITE THAT I WEAR AT WORK IS MY RCR HAT WITH ALL HIS NUMBERS ON IT......#3..#07.....#29....#31....IT ROCKS!!!!
  • I buy a new hat every year when I go to the race this year I chose the #88 Spring Pit Hat. I wear the heck out of it for the year then put it away and get ready for my new one.

    http://www.atthetrackracing.com/detail.a...

Congrats on your day Greenbean! You are a lot of fun to have around here. Your answers are short and to the point, you are one of the greatest Troll chaser we have here. Have a great day! **Cheers**

  • My favorite hat looks like this:

    http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_ima...

Have a great day, GreenBean! And keep on telling it like it is.
  • I have a 48 sun visor that I wear when I play volleyball, fish, or attend a race. I don't wear hats otherwise.

GreenBean is such a character. I'm glad he never gave up the numerous times the trolls have tried to get rid of him.
  • I have a Carl Edwards cowgirl hat!!! But I definitely have a lot of hats.
  • What is your favorite Nascar hat to wear?

    Today we will honor...

    GreenBean

    Enjoy your day!
  • I don't really like to wear hats. But I suppose if I did my favorite would be a Kevin Harvick one (that's kind of a given) and considering I don't like yellow it would probably be either red or black.

Congrats on your day GreenBean! I hope you have a good one!

  • I have a 48 sun visor that I wear when I play volleyball, fish, or attend a race. I don't wear hats otherwise.

GreenBean is such a character. I'm glad he never gave up the numerous times the trolls have tried to get rid of him.

  • I don't really like to wear hats. But I suppose if I did my favorite would be a Kevin Harvick one (that's kind of a given) and considering I don't like yellow it would probably be either red or black.

Congrats on your day GreenBean! I hope you have a good one!

  • I wear a white hat with checkered flags on it when I attend races. My only other hats are a black leather #3 that I don't wear but keep for sentimental value, a red bud #8 hat that just hangs in the closet and a M&M #18 hat that I wear around town sometimes to hold my hair back.

(((GreenBean)))) A sweetiepie!! (I hope you don't mind me calling you that...lol)
One of my favorite Jr. fans!!

Here's two to you...[_]]...[_]}...and one for me..[_]}...CHEERS my friend! Enjoy your day!!!
  • My favorite Nascar hat is a #2 Miller Genuine Draft "Rusty's Last Call" hat from his special MGD paint scheme from the 2005 Chicagoland race.

WTG greenbean, you rock! Keep it up! Give'em heck! Have a great day!

**Cheers**

  • my amp hat
thank you thank you very much
    yall all cool
it is better when school starts aint it
  • my #88 of course!

greenbean you crack me up with your answers and your attacks on the trolls keep up the good work and have a great day!

  • Amp/Mountain /Dew
    xoxoxoxox to Green Bean!
  • My favorite hat looks like this:

    http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_ima...

Have a great day, GreenBean! And keep on telling it like it is.
  • GreenBean you rock! I love your straight up no bs answers.

    Have a great day!

I like to wear just a hat that says 'Nascar Full Throttle' on it.

    http://jkenterprises.org/store/image/r8w...
  • What is your favorite Nascar hat to wear?

    Today we will honor...

    GreenBean

    Enjoy your day!
  • My Matt Kenseth DeWalt Hat !!
No kisses here Greenbean... but i tip my Dewalt hat to ya dude!!
    Enjoy your day!

  • My brand new Jr. Camo hat (like the camo car he drove earlier this year)

    Rock on Green Bean!
  • MY NEW HAT IS THE OLD SHOOL MT DEW HAT.MY OLD FAVORITE THAT I WEAR AT WORK IS MY RCR HAT WITH ALL HIS NUMBERS ON IT......#3..#07.....#29....#31....IT ROCKS!!!!
  • Sadly enough, I have none :(

    Have a wonderful Wednesday, Greenbean!

You may be wondering why I'm here... shouldn't I be in school? Oh wait, the powers been out all over Ohio for 3 days!!!

Edit: Most of the electricity where I live has been restored, but a few of my fellow friends unfortunately still don't have power... must be hard on them. Darn Hurricane Ike...

Edit #2: How in the world could someone give someone else a thumbs down if they're honoring someone??
  • I have a Carl Edwards cowgirl hat!!! But I definitely have a lot of hats.
  • I don't wear hats, so I can't really answer that.

Congrats Greenbean, I always look forward to seeing your answers.

  • Conspiracy ... could someone use induction heating to destroy a metal part on a race car?

    May be...

  • and that would accomplish what
  • Absolutely. Think of it like this-what if those parts that failed were copycat counterfeit parts, not correctly heat treated? The USA has a major problem with these type of parts being shipped in from overseas. Not naming any country.
  • Heating the part would discolor it. It could have been manufactured wrong, could have missed the heat treating process during manufacturing.

The part could have failed because it was defective, installed incorrectly or the car setup could have overstressed it. Gibbs knows exactly why it failed by now. Look for them to say it was a faulty part rather than something they did wrong.

The car wasn't right before it broke though, and it wasn't right after it was replaced so I assume the real problem was elsewhere.

The front end wasn't level during the pace laps, it was low on the left front. There was a problem with the way the car was set up IMO.
  • Jeff Gordon would.
  • Usually heating metal makes it stronger. Heat treating.
It depends on what kind of metal it is. I'm going to say "no" unless you want to be more specific and use additional details so you can describe which "part" you conspiracy consists of
  • ????????????????????
  • yes it 100% possible to do that but if your letting another team that close to your car you deserve it

Where is #18s #1 fan (Rowdys World)?

    May be...

  • He's in an undisclosed location on the west coast. And he's still one of Rowdy's biggest fans. : )
  • Of course he likes kyle. he's practically grown up with those boys. I received email from him as well and he told me the same thing.
He's fine. He has a life other than here.
  • 18RW you crack me up nice answer
  • he's probably changed his name to 'biffle's buddies' or something stupid like that. one more bad finish and the rest of the bandwagon busch fans will follow.
  • he is on a sabatical from this sight like many do from time to time or he is useing another name ! like many other do also
  • I'm sure he still likes Kyle.

Like Maggie and Winter said, he's taking a break.
  • Busch is a ******. BIFFLE all the way!
  • wow #18 Rowdy's World I always enjoy your Q&A's but nice answer lmao
  • Whether he's logged on or not, he would never bail on Kyle. He is a true and loyal fan. I don't blame him for taking a breather from the vindictive atmosphere in here. There are also a lot of people who have been left without electricity and phone services due to IKE.

    *MOJO*
  • Yes he does.
He was being targeted with violation notices and decided to take a breather to save his account.

I just talked to him via e-mail yesterday.

Besides, what difference does it make?

EDIT: Looking at his account, he was on here 19 hours ago!!!!
  • two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside.
two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside, round the outside.
    guess who's back, back again
    rowdy's back, tell a friend
guess who's back, guess who's back,
guess who's back, guess who's back,
    guess who's back...

    i'm right here.

i had to change the name and look a little because of the trolls. some jackass was posting racist questions a few days back (you know who you are) and i reported it.

    yeah, i did it
    and i admit it.
    then i wrote him
    and let 'em know it

well, he showed me... the spineless little bastard started violating my answers to questions, so i changed my name and avatar. since he wasn't a regular, he couldn't figure out that the really long-winded gasbag rowdy fan was me, even under a "slightly altered" name, and the notices quit coming.

but it did get me fed up enough to quit asking any questions. i'm so sick of not even being able to post "what does NASCAR stand for?" and not receive a violation notice, i decided to take my business elsewhere. take THAT yahoo!!!

i'm still a kyle fan, and now i'm fighting the good fight in the real world. i just published an article about him online, and if you know me well enough to be able to email me, let me know and i'll point you to it. i'd post it here but i'd get violated for "solicitation" (like that's never happened before), and the trolls would be crawling all over it. i can live without that, thank you very much.

thanks for your concern, and rest assured:
until "they" pry the keyboard from my cold dead hands,
i will remain rowdy's number one fan (hey that sorta rhymed).

ps. "nascarfan," for once in your life you are right. i have issues - many of them as a matter of fact. and now i am discussing them intelligently in places all over the net...

pps. "know it all," you know where you can "stick it all." ask "mrtanner" to help you
  • doesn't he like Kyle anymore?
  • hahahah i thought he was a girl.... rowdys world has issues lol
  • He's ^^^^^^^^ right up there.

    Don't bail on us Rowdy!!!!
  • Is nascar a blue collar thing or r all kinds of people into it?

    May be...

  • do you figure asking this question 3 times you will make your point that you know nothing about NASCAR??
  • This is a stupid question. No offense but can't you come up with something intelligent to ask? Do you stay up nights looking for the dumbest question possible?
  • NASCAR fans don't care what color the collar is... as long as you like to have a good time anyone is welcome!
  • hell no we all rich as hell
thats why we on yahoo answering dumbass questions
  • What a completely derrogatory comment!!!

People of all socio-economic classes, races, colors, backgrounds enjoy NASCAR...

You my friend need some Racial Sensitivity Training!
  • All kinds of people are into it: doctors, nurses, secretaries, computer people, data entry clerks, accountants, mechanics, Realtors, lawyers, etc.
  • It used to be. Now, these NASCAR teams have graduate engineers building their cars. Ryan Newman is a mechanical engineering grad of Purdue.
  • All kinds of people are into it. Blue collar is a stereotype for fans of NASCAR. Most stereotypes about NASCAR were started in Indianapolis as the owners of a different league tried to separate themselves from Bill France and the people who raced in NASCAR.
  • Not all NASCAR fans are blue collar. There are officials in state and national government that are NASCAR fans. NASCAR has fans from the age range of 4 to 100, fans in every state, and fans from all kinds of jobs whether they be white or blue collar.
  • Go to the races and you will find a wide array of fans from blue collar to farmers to white collar. Young and old. Male and female. Fat and skinny. All kinds of people are into it. It might be hard to find any Democrats there though. I think all the drivers are Republican.
  • I am confused with your reference to 'blue collar.'

Nascar is for everyone who likes it, but that is not obvious to you, or you would not be asking this question in this fashion.
  • All kinds of people are into it. It used to be blue collar but the popularity has spread to everyone.
  • Nascar Nation......................

  • Well next year it will be #14
    "GO TONY"
But Matt is a good choice.
  • Definitely Elliott...Good lookin, funny n luv that southern drawl! I like him as a driver too. He's in my top 10. Not suckin up either. =o`)

Congrats to Matt - Tell me what to put here. You are sure proud of your driver!! Enjoy your day, you deserve it!
  • Elliot Sadler !!! Congrats Matt-Tell me what to put here !
  • Awesome! Thanks Tom, I'm honored that you'd choose me. I haven't had the greatest day in the world today, you definitely made it better when I saw this though.

For your question, I have to choose Elliott Sadler.

Lynn: I try to be nice, but I'm too defensive for my own good sometimes.

Winter: Heh, that's just a tad bit too corny for me. ;) Did I mention you look great in that 88?

Rockin' Race29: You'll probably be hard-pressed to find anyone else with a choice of favorite drivers like that. ;)

    Rackpurdue: I try my hardest!

STORM BANDIT: That's just a bit too plain, heh.

Superdave: I'll think about it. ;)

PJ 88 Fan: I try. I'm proud he's back in the top 20 after his little excursion out of the top 35. I was never more nervous watching qualifying than I was then.

(I'm using ;) alot today.) Thanks alot, everyone.
  • Stick with the Biff! Greg Biffle is my favorite teener. Matt, I hope you have a much better day than Matt Kenseth did on Sunday. It's too bad he got caught up in somebody elses mess but that's racing.

  • I like both #16 Greg Biffle and #19 Elliot Sadler

Have a wonderday Matt- Tell me what to put here! Enjoy!
  • The man that owns all the hunting dogs and is the 'Master of Disguise', Elliott Sadler.

    -Edit-

    Congrats, Matt.
  • 16

    wHOO HOO

  • Currently Elliot Sadler.
    Next year Tony Stewart.

Congrats Matt - The worlds only Jamie McMurray AND Casey Mears fan. lol I'm jk. Have a great day :)

  • I will have to go with the # 12......but my real answer would have been none of the above....i like older one's like #29...LOL....and since #12 will be #39 next year that works in to the older #'s....ha ha ha
plus my husband is a Newman fan soooooo I do like Newman as a driver overall.

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!!
  • Who is your favorite teenaged numbered driver (#12 - #19)?

    Today we will honor...

Matt - Tell me what to put here

    Enjoy your day!
  • I have to go with # 19, "the master of disguise," Elliott Sadler.

I mean, anyone who has a bologna burger cookout party has to be cool, right?
  • Elliott Sadler #19 is my favorite teenage numbered driver.

Congrats on your day of honor Matt-Tell me what to put here. Have a great day sir!

Lets go with Matt-Nascar's #1 Fan!
  • 15 Of Course Mr. Paul Menard

Congrats MAtt have a great day!!

Matt Put: Martin Truex Jr wins 08 championship!!
  • Rowdy is!!!!

I told Matt what he should put there, I guess he didn't like my idea.
In his defense it was pretty lame.

"Jamie MattMurray fan", lol...yeah, that's bad.

I don't blame you Matt, enjoy your day..
  • 19 of course.

Matt - Tell me what to put here - Enjoy your day!
  • Dafinitely #19 Sadler. He just seems like a great guy. Biff is a close second though even if he did pass my man to win Sunday. It was a picture perfect pass though. WTG Biff!

  • Matt- (just plain Matt works) have a great day!

    Favorite: Elliot Sadler
  • I'll go with matt
  • Matt Kenseth - #17. Next year, it'll be Tony Stewart - #14.

Hope you have a great day, Matt - Tell me what to put here. You're a good contributor to Y/A NASCAR. You seem very nice, too. I guess that's why no one has told you what you can put there. lol j/k
    I salute you, sir.
  • 15 - Paul Menard and 19 - Elliott Sadler
  • If Hamilton drove for Ferrari, would Ferrari be slagged off as much?

    May be...

  • Good question! I think it wouldn't make any difference. Ferrari always seem to come up smelling of roses and every other team gets it in the neck and as long as a certain MS is lurking in the background, it ain't going to change!! Do you, incidentally, think he will end up running the team, eventually?

PS Lewis doesn't stand a cat's chance of ever driving for Ferrari imvho. but stranger things have happened.
  • ggowboy, care to answer
  • Wait a minute!!!!! Ferrari slagged off ???? sure you didn't get your teams wrong ?
  • i don't really think anything would change at all
  • To be honest it doesn't matter who drives for Ferrari they will also
get slagged off because all non-ferrari fans think that the fia is
bias towards them as they seem to be one set of rules for them
and another set for the another teams.
  • .

Yes and no. I'll elaborate later.

I'm off to make me and Mrs Mop a lovely rich Chicken Dopiaza and Jeera Rice all served up with engaging conversation, or as she says..."back chat"

    .
  • Fishtalk look at the Q-IF
Am sure with the expectations that constructors drivers are aiming to achieve the ultimate accolade, the same thing would happen,if they and the driver bawst it up,so yes he would as well as the team
  • Ferrari wouldn't be stupid enough to give lewis (daddy's little boy) a contract
  • Not in the British media, anyway.
  • Can Biffle make it 2 in a row this weekend?

    May be...

  • Yeah that would be pretty cool, although I doubt it happening. He was way overdue a win! Deserved the win!
  • Well it is possible.
    But I doubt it.
I would like to see Jeff Burton win won.
  • That's a good question. Kyle did win at this track earlier this season and he's going to be a litttle restless after his mishap at New Hampshire last Sunday. There is a lot of hungry drivers so there is no telling what will happen.
  • No doubt. It is not like Greg Biffle to carry momentum like that to pick up two in a row. But if he does win this next race it will make him a key factor in this chase. What he said in an interview still sticks with me. If you pick up a top 5 in every race in the chase, you will without a doubt win the cup. I hope he wins but do i think he will, probably not. But He has 10 bonus points from the last dover race on his side.
  • Greg is good there but Concrete Carl, his teammate, is the guy to watch this weekend. Look for the 99 to come out of the gate strong and put the heat on the 48 team this week.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • i don't think he can win two in a row. But it would be crazy wild if he did!
  • As you said he has good history here.If my fav Jimmy can't win, then Biff would be great.
  • Of course. I believe Dover is one of Biffle's best tracks on the circuit and might be one of his favorites. Last year in this race he finished 2nd to his teammate Edwards. This year in the spring he sat on the pole and led a bunch of laps and finished 3rd. I look for him to be equally as strong this week as he was in NHMS and Dover earlier this year. He should easily be a top five car barring he can stay out of trouble
  • With this silly season anything is possible, Da Bif normally runs well, here, but I say his team mate Concrete Carl, will be doing the back flip on Sunday after he wins. Bif will probably be in the top 5. Yes if he wins 2 in a row and Rowdy has another bad weekend, now that would be real wild..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • i'm sure biffle would be tickled pink if he were to win two in a row. could it happen, yes. will it happen, i don't think so. carl and kyle have the best finishing averages at that track, and both have won there within the past year. then again, tony stewart could make the mistake of driving within half a lap of sadler again and cause another big one, taking many chasers out in the process - you just never know...
    ;-)
  • No. But Roush Racing can.
  • NOPE he was lucky to win one...i dont see it happenin again
  • I would be nice if he could. He has won at dover before so he could do it again. Winning at NH gave him and his team confidence for the chase. Kenseth looks like he doesn't have a chance so I will pull for Biffle or Edwards to win the championship, unless Matt pulls a miracle off in the next month. As long as a chevy or toyota doesn't win, I will be happy.
  • not at dover
  • That would be awesome; it was great seeing him win (I was there) but no, I think it will be Carl at Dover.
  • He can, but I doubt he will. This week I'm afraid it will be his teammates turn - Carl Edwards. Can you say 4 top 3 finishes in his last 5 starts? Yup, I've already got my fantasy picks for the weekend.
  • He has a good history at this track..........Wouldn't that be wild if he won again??
  • I wonder if John Roberts is gonna stick with the Biff still now that he has won or if he is finally gonna pick a new driver.....LOL.....I dont think he will win again this weekend.

    GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!!

  • If GEM buys BDR and switches to Toyota will it be the death of Dodge in Nascar?

    May be...

  • If it does happen, it could very well be the death of Dodge. GEM was the one to bring Dodge back into the sport back in 2001 when Ray created Evernham Motorsports. If GEM switches to Toyota, that leaves Penske as the only strong Dodge team out there until Dodge pulls out completely. It will also send both Petty and RGM scrambling for new engine partners and such since they both receive technical and engine support from GEM unless they were to follow GEM to Toyota.

I would hope that Ray gets a say in the deal since he founded what is now GEM even though he no longer hold majority control.

However, I really hope that this doesn't happen.
  • I think it will, GEM does most of the R&D for Dodge.
  • Dodge's days are over in NASCAR. I don't see them lasting for more then a year.
  • dodge would be hanging on by their fingernails. who would that leave in dodge's? petty enterprises and ganassi? GEM is the only dodge team currently capable of winning races. if they were to switch to toyota, with or without bill davis racing, it would be a serious blow to daimler-chrystler

EDIT: oh yeah, thanks jozi. i forgot about penske
  • I certainly think so... expect Petty and Penske to move to Ford if that happens.
  • If that happens you might as well stick a fork in Dodge because they are done. Richard Petty in a Toyota would make me sad.
  • Richard Petty is retired.

Why worry about him being in a Toyota.
  • Dodge has already announced they will not be involved with the Truck Series next year. Most insiders think the Nationwide and Sprint are next. I think GEM is just getting a jump on the inevitable. Petty Enterprises will probably go back to GM.
  • lord. i hope that doesnt happen.
  • The only way that Dodge would "fade away" from NASCAR is if Dodge wants to. There will always be some team they could pick up. Dodge has a history of building some powerhouse engines. The capability is there... they just need to get on the ball. I think that most of the problem is not with Dodge but they just need to pick up a team like Toyota picked up when they got Gibbs. Gibbs already had the chassis and setups with Tony Stewarts success. That's the same thing Dodge needs.
  • Is this one of those conspiracy questions. Half the Chrysler corporation made auto racing what it is today. Can I just "no"?
Wouldn't that make Petty a monopoly. I'll just say "no"
    you know
  • i hate the situation but come to think of it i really dont pull for nobody in a dodge but sadler
  • 15.9.08

But your chances are good for Jimmie Johnson
  • Should Kasey Kahne leave GEM at the end of his contract?

    May be...

  • Not unless he can hook up with a premier team. Realize that Hendrick has 3 cars in the Chase, Roush has 3 cars, Gibbs has 3 and Childress has 3. If he can hook up with one of those 4 teams, yes. If not, no.
  • If it wasn't for how "iffy" Dodge is in the Cup arena, I'd stay with GEM. They have money now and are improving. However, I look for Dodge to completely abandon team support in the next year or two. That being said, I'd look for another non-Dodge team. Same for Sadler.
Kasey should also take those three "soccer moms" up their offer... hey they aren't bad looking and could teach him a thing or two......
  • He better if he wants to contend for a championship. Just my opinion, NO Dodge team is going to close the deal.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Kandy should go into the runway model business.
  • He won't. In an interview with Kasey he was saying how he loves Gillette Evernham and his whole team, and he hopes to stay there until he retires. He is doing good there, 2 wins plus the All Star win, and he was soo close to making the chase. I'd stay if I was him.
  • I bet if Kahne doesn't do well next year and make the Chase, I wouldn't
be suprised if Evernham fires him.
  • i thank he should leave gem because he is not doing to good with them and move on a better contract
  • I believe his contract is up at the end of next season. I'd love to see Stewart Hass field a third car and put Kasey in it.
  • Well, what would you do if your contract was up?

I think GEM is an up and coming force to be reckoned with.

Ray has the brain-smarts to get it done.
  • I think he should go one more year. In his contract he should tell GEM that the year's contract is based on the company's ability to become competitive. The COT is still new and all teams haven't quiet figured it out so I think he should give it another year for Dodge to turn things around. Look at Ford last year. A lot of people thought they were washed up and they've completely turned it around this year.
  • Stewart/Haas is going to bomb while GEM is picking up their performance, Kasey will be a threat next year.
  • I know it is only the 1st race of the chase but does anyone else think that Kyle is in "BIG TROUBLE"?

    May be...

  • Momentum...

I think he's going to be ok..unfortunately. He has bumped and knocked around enough people that he better watch his p's and q's if it's close at the end. I didn't particularly care for the comments he made about Tony on RaceDay. IDK not a Kyle fan.. loved watching the replays of him spinning out!!!
  • First let me congratulate Biffle! He did a very good job!

Now, to Kyle Busch. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist. But,
to me something fishy went on with his car. I mean, he has had an excellent car all year and has won 8 races and then the first race of the
Chase, there is a major problem? It is obvious someone high up made
    sure this happened.

Nascar officials don't mind the fact that Toyota won many races this
year,,,But, they don't want them to win the Championship so soon after entering the Cup Series!

  • YOu got a point there. Denny is only for Denny, and with Tony leaving he wont have any help there.
I do think though it might be a little to early to tell. Kyle always seems to bounce back after a bad race.
He cant afford to have another one. If he does he has no chance.
  • It will be tough to win the chase now with no help...........Tony is leaving after this year and Denny Hamlin loves Denny Hamlin!
  • if he's consistent with the next 9 races then he could pull though, however i hope he's not...cause i want Jimmie to win 3 in a row! lol<3

kyle is a great driver though, and i know he's going to do whatever he can to get back on top.
  • Let's not count the chickens before they hatch. Every driver is allowed one bad race. If there is one driver that doesn't have/need that mulligan, he will most likely be the champ. Hopefully it can be Jr. All he needs to do is get the finishes like he was getting early in the season and he should be decent shape heading to Miami.
  • He had one bad day, but I sure wouldn't bet against him being champ!
  • He's all done.
  • I would say it would be np with the way he's been running this season but with the way Johnson has started to come on, every little slip is going to make it extremely hard to catch back up. All it takes is 1 race like yesterday and all JJ will have to do is go out and keep tearing off finishes like he has been and it will be darn near impossible for anyone to catch up. What I'm trying to say is, I think unless Johnson and Edwards have some really unfortunate luck, he's done.
  • Yes, but I never expected Kyle Busch to contend for a championship this year! New owner, new crew chief, and the new owner just switched manufacturers. No way! Even with the wins, the consistency just wasn't there.
Now if he can just get his mind on winning as many of these races as he can between now and the end of the season it will be a banner year for him and JGR, no matter who wins the cup! I'd much rather win 10 races this season than have that chase cup! Winning the Cup just doesn't mean that much since Nascar changed to the chase format! Ten wins will more than prove who the man was this season!!!
    PEACE!
  • Kyle is still in the hunt but those bonus points he had are now essentially gone. It's a good thing he had those bonus points because if he had won 5 races instead of 8 he would be 11th in the standings and down by 100+ points. Kyle will be okay and remember he won at Dover in the Spring so chances are he will bounce back. However, Kyle has not had good luck in the Chase in the past. So we'll see how he responds at Dover and in the upcoming races.
  • As always, YW Lenny. Report Abuse
  • Hmm....Jimmie finished the Loudon race last year 39th, Kyle had his "mulligan"

    He'll be okay.
  • Jimmie did it in 2006 after crashing but I think the field is too competitive this year to catch up. Kyle may have 8 wins but the top 10 looks the same very week. I make this remark assumig at least 1 or the 12 won't use their mulligan.
  • One can only hope. But, I am not counting him out yet.

Actually, it was 2006 when Jimmie finished poorly in a chase race. His worst finish during 2007 was 14th. He never used a single mulligan last year.
  • He has had his mulligan, and I'm sure he will bounce right back, it was just the first race in the chase. Rowdy is not in big trouble unless this happens 2 weeks in a row. Then if I were a Rowdy fan, I'd be worried.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • To tell you the truth I hate this whole chase thing anyways. I don't think Kyle is in any trouble yet but one more bad showing and I think it could turn on him. I am not a JR fan at all and I am sure this pleases all of you out there as I have been hearing about it all day at work. This chase thing is so unfair as these points would not have hurt him at all if he had the points lead going in. The chase SUCKS.
  • Big trouble this week. Did you see the commitment cone he picked up on the front of his car on Sunday?

Remember last year Jimmie Johnson finished like 41(something like that) in the first race of the chase then came back and won the championship?

I don't think he is in big trouble really for the championship because the way he drives, he can come back. As long as his cars work and he has decent luck.

  • I don't know how big of trouble it will end up being but I don't know if the championship can be won this year after having such a poor finish. It's too bad, even though I'm not a fan of his, I would have liked to see how he could have done without having problems outside of his control. I think one or 2 drivers will make it through without having major problems. Last year Jeff and Jimmie basically averaged top 5 finishes for all 10 races and Clint was not far behind them.
edit: BTW, Jimmie finished 6th at Loudon in the first chase race last year. His worst finish of the 10, in 2007, was 14th.
    3 STR8 N 08!!!
  • Nope and only cause I never thought he was gonna win the championship anyways....GO JIMMIE GO!!!!!!!
  • Hehehehe!! Denny loves Denny ain't that the truth!

I don't think Kyle is in big trouble, not yet anyway. It sure was an awful day for him though.

    What I can say is....Gooooooo Junior! Ya-hooo!!
