Who else wants this!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

May be...

  • I don't. I want Jimmie Johnson or Tony Stewart.
  • Elliott Sadler is my pick!
  • Wouldnt bother me, but he wouldnt be my first choice either. I would prefer someon along the lines of Jamie McMurray or Bobby LaBonte.
  • I would love to see Tony win in his first 500 in the 14 car. Who wouldn't?
  • Oh Yeah! What a way to start the season! Other than Jr, I'd like to see Mark Martin, Bobby Labonte, or Elliot Sadler win the 500.
  • I do and I will put money on it that he will!

When Dale Jr. won the 500 is 2004, it was Feb. 15th. This year, the race in on Feb. 15th. who knows, maybe it is an omen!
  • hell yaaaaa! go 88!
  • Heck yes, I want jr. to win the 500!

    Jr. for life
  • no i want mark martin to finally get one if not stewart
  • Not me, sorry. Tony Stewart is who I'll be rooting for....go Smoke!
  • No, Mark Martin all the way!!!
  • jr all the way or at least the lap that counts
  • Well he is in my top 5. He has the chance and he knows how to drive it.
if not him either Elliot, Mark Martin, Tony or Jeff Burton.
  • i'd love to see Jr. win
but if not, then my obvious favorite, Jimmie.
  • I would be pleased if he did but I would prefer the good ol #43 to break thru and get a win!!!!
  • I like Dale Jr. and it wouldn't bother me if he won but I am pulling for Jeff Gordon !
  • Who wants Dale Jr to win the Daytona 500!?? I know I sure do!!! Please answer!!! If you don't want him to win... tell me who you do want to win!
  • Yes, Dale Jr is gonna win, I feel it already, I'm getting #88 in victory lane vibrations..

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • All day Son!!!!!!!!!
  • Jr. wouldn't be in my top 5 to win it but I guess I wouldn't care if he did. I would rather see Kyle, Tony, Jeff G, martin T, or Elliot Sadler win it.
  • I'm not going to be POed if he does, but I'm cheering for #9!
  • Dale Earnhardt
  • All of Jr. Nation does!! Could we withstand that kind of celebration? Are there fault lines in Florida? :)

It wouldn't bother me one way or the other..
  • No I want mark martin to win because he didn't win for 23 years and this will be his 24th try. After he wins then I want Dale Jr to win in 2010.
  • i'm pulling for him
  • I would not mind if he did. I think it would start the season of well for him.what is convenience foods
  • What makes drift cars go sideways like that on concrete?

    May be...

  • It's basically a donut that the driver is turning out of to keep it going somewhat straight. The rear wheels are spinning so there is no traction but the forward motion of the car is kicking it to the side because the brakes applied to the front are not allowing the rear to go forward.
  • I'm not very mechanically inclined so if you could give me the "drift cars for dummies" version, I'd be more apt to understand it, thanks.apartment hong kong serviced short stay

  • Just the fact that they are going to fire up the engines for any reason is a reason to celebrate.
Firestorm- Enjoy the day! You are a vital member of Nascar Nation. We wouldn't be the same place with out you!
  • All of em'

    To Firestorm.....enjoy your day :)
  • the NASCAR Fan Fest on January 16th, and 17th where you get to meet all of the drivers. I say this because I'll be there this year. It's going to rock.
  • I always look forward to the twin qualifying races. Everyone seems to drive just a little more on the edge. After that the Bud Shootout.'

Hope you day is great, Firestorm!
  • I am looking forward to everything . I can't wait to get this season started ! Congratulations Firestorm ,you are a very knowledgeable and great Jeff Gordon fan ! Enjoy your day !
  • to heck with it! the whole darn week!!
    well the twin 150's
  • Cheers to ya, Fire Storm!!!

ANYTHING preseason is fine with me at this point! I figured I would have gotten over the with-drawl symptoms by now, but it's just getting worse - the twitching, the sweating, the sleeplessness....

I don't care if they have monkeys pushing the cars across the infield grass - JUST SHOW ME SOMETHING ALREADY!!!!
  • I am looking forward to anything NASCAR related, the sooner it starts the better.

    Enjoy your day Firestorm :)
  • I dont think I could pick just one!

    Firestorm Enjoy your day!!
  • The Budweiser Shootout
  • WOOO!
    FIRESTORM!!!!
    This Bud's for you!
Pre season acticities include buying tickets to the 500.
  • I'm looking forward to the Budweiser Shootout. I can't wait to see Jeff Gordon's "Firestorm" paint scheme on the track for the first time. Hopefully it will end up in victory lane.

Thanks a lot for the honor, Tom. And thanks to everyone here. I'm proud to be part of the nation.

Sorry, but I really can't pick the best answer. Just pick whoever you want, Prez.
  • I use to say the Bud Shootout, but I do not like the new format. I always look forward to the very first Trackside show of the season on Speed, that really fires me up.. Firestorm enjoy your day.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009

    Congrats Firestorm.
  • Everything is great!!! I can't wait for the preseason festivities to start. Have a great day, Firestorm!!!
  • Well I usually have some friends over for certain races or I go there. There is a sports bar here that is always a lot of fun and was already asked to go for the Daytona 500. I have a friend coming from 4 hours away to watch it with me. His first race.

Enjoy your day fire storm!! A really great member of NASCAR NATION! Happy to have you!!! CHEERS!!!
  • Great name (paint scheme) great driver (Jeff Gordon) and great fan (Fire Storm)

    Enjoy your day!ati r520 specifications
  • Remember this time last year NASCAR fans?

    May be...

  • yep I remember it all :)

    some was right, some wasn't

HMS was great but only with Jimmie.
Jr only got one points win (which was shocking).
I do think Jr will win the 500 this year him or Carl Edwards.
  • Yes I do, I remember that most of the time that they said here that JR will win the Chase and get 10 wins.
  • I remember at this time last year eveyone was talking about how hendrick motorsports was gonna dominate and how the toyotas were gonna be real strong and everyday we would see the same question: Who will win the Daytona 500?

This question will probably going to be deleted but I want to share those memories with my nascar nation friends here on Y!A. So, do you remember?
  • Yes, I do. I actually didn't think the Toyota cars would dominate, but they did. I was expecting Jeff, Jimmie, Dale, and Casey to all dominate and make the chase in 2008. They didn't do as great as I thought they would do, but I think all of the Hendrick drivers and Casey will do great in 2009. I'm looking forward to the new season.
  • I remember so well. Jr. was going to win 6, Jeff Gordon was going to be unstoppable, and Jimmie was going to be Jimmie.
  • I remember. I wanted Jimmie Johnson to win 3 championships in a row, and he did. Although I thought he would get more than 7 wins. Johnson will win 4 championships in a row next year, I'm betting on it.
  • I remember saying Martin Truex Jr and Paul Menard wins 18 races each and Truex is 2008 champion. Well I'm still sticking too my word.

    EGR/ DYR Fan 2009
  • Yes, I remember it well, it was Dale Jr at HMS, and how many races would he win. and Smoke in a Toyota. I'm so ready for this yr, cause Dale Jr is gonna win the Daytona 500.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009anna banana pancake
  • Nascar Nation (a matter of the President)...?

    May be...

  • Oh gosh, I don't see a win for them this year. Maybe next year. 1st year together is going to be all figuring things out, getting to know each other and team strategies. Don't get me wrong I give Tony huge high 5's for stepping away from Toyota and climbing back into the Chevy where he belongs but a win, let's just wait and see.

Mr. Prez. you get my vote to stay in office. I adore Superdave and many others, but I bet hands down we all agree you deserve the rank. You have a way to make everyone feel good and appreciated. I think you add flare to Y/A and I am glad to have you as a friend in Y/A and even happier to know you outside of it. Take care my friend.
  • I nominate you for President (It has nothing to do with not liking him, I love Superdave he great I am just use to Tom as prez )

    And maybe 2 wins
  • I think they will have 2 or 3 wins but mainly focusing on getting clean races and a lot of top 10 finishes.

You got my vote for Prez as always.
  • I think you should be the prez, prez.

by the way, i think stewart/haas will have 3 wins next year?
  • i want to nominate my self
  • Even though I think they will struggle a little, I think Tony Stewart will win one race for Stewart-Haas next year, preferably at a road course. It might be on fuel mileage, too.

I'll re-elect you, Prez. I think you do a great job.
  • I gave you a star.

I say 3-5 wins (just a guess) I feel like they will win a few races, or at least Tony will.
  • I dont see Stewart/Haas winning very many races maybe 1 or 2, only because they are a new team and are going to be trying to figure it all out, and Tony is going to have to get used to a new crew chief when he had such great chemistry with Zippy. And Ryan usually only gets 1 win a year.

And as for president. I think you or Superdave are the best nominees! So either of you two are fine with me.
  • I'll give Tony 1 win, he will do some struggling early, but It is Tony Stewart!!!

Tom G. For President is fine by me!!!
  • I say 2 or 3 wins.
And we can keep you for Pres. Kind of used to it now. Wouldn't know you any other way.

And bestanswer I really like SuperDave a lot too. has nothing to do with who we like or don't like. I remember VP Tom G...thats right *I* ran against you and conceded...LOL

Well if you are ready to step down then heck yeah...lets get SuperDave.
  • 2

    How bout Ole Superdave
  • I think they will be extremely lucky to get one win per car. My guess is Tony steals one of the restrictor plate races with Newman pushing him. Shake and Bake Style.

I vote Tom G as prez. Superdave as vice-prez.
  • I certainly re-elect you.

    as for stewart-haas, 0 wins.
  • I vote anarchy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Mr Prez you always get thumbs up from me and stars. I'm going out on a limb and say they get 3 wins, cause I think 2009 is gonna be a wild and crazy yr. It could even mean Elliott gets a win (well dang he deserves it) I even think we might see a Red Bull win, and Mark Martin getting a win at Hms, and MWR getting a win. 2009 bring on the silly season, but I'm sure Smoke will come out Smokin with Stewart/Haas in 2009, he's back at Chevy where he belongs, and us Chevy fans welcome Rocketman. Yes you can be Mr Prez forever.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • i will say 2
and i think you should stay prez
  • i am going out on a lib ans say 4. i think it may be high but Tony is out there to prove himself and when he is focused watch out. it is just going to be different without Zippy.
Mr. President you have my vote.
  • I think they will win 2 or 3 races this year. They are getting HMS engines so they should be competitive.

    ** Re-elect Tom G as president**

Nascar Nation , thanks for your kind words but we need to keep Tom G as president. He is the man!!!!!
  • How many wins will Stewart/Haas get next year?

As you know, I like to be fair and think it's time for an election in Nascar Nation. Thumbs me up if you want to re-elect me or nominate someone and the most thumbs ups wins.g5c32u

What are those long race cars called?

    May be...

  • they are called top fuel dragsters
  • They are long, low to the ground and I think they have a parachute open in order to slow down...they race on a straight track....what are they called????
  • Dragster?
  • yup a dragster me thinks
  • Railsbattery cover side
  • YES! Elliott keeps his job! Did you see this?

    May be...

  • Glad he's back. Some good could come out of it. It could inspire the team and driver to be more competitive this year.
  • good for him.I'm sure he'll be on the look out for a new ride.

    Elliott's back! Elliott's back! Woo-hoo!

Not happy that it's in the 19, but at least he's back!

And to keep this in the form of a question and answer--hmm, uh--do you think Elliott will try to go to another team after 2009, after all that's happened?
  • Dead Man Walking

Like knowing you're at a job and not wanted. LOL

Silliness... Nothing to be excited about.
  • Im so happy for Elliott. He didn't deserve to be treated the way he was. GEM ought to be embarrassed at theirselves.

*Most of all Im happy for our President Tom G*
  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY...saw it in Jeff's question. I too am glad that he is back and like you sorry to see it in the #19....however...I think he will try to go to another team and who can blame him??? I hope that he does.
I am hoping this will be a banner season for him.

    GO ELLIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • That is awesome news!!!!!
  • lespaula1988: We're talking about Elliott Sadler, not Bill Elliott.

Ash: This is about a NASCAR driver, not a character on a TV show.

I like Sadler, and I'm glad he's got a job, but I'm not sure I'd want to keep driving for a team that just tried to get rid of me. I hope it doesn't cause any tension.

Also, what's going to happen to Allmendinger? He's a great young talent (who seems to be a decent person, too), and he got a raw deal from Red Bull Racing. I sure hope he gets a ride somewhere.
  • Great. Drive for a team that clearly doesn't want you around. I've already lost interest because the guy only gets mentioned when he wrecks or has mechanical problems which is often.
  • 1 WORD.

    KEWL!
  • Yes, he will try and go and I would think that other teams are aware of his ability to attract sponsors. Congrats to all his fans!
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • I would find a ride for 2009 but keep it a secret til right before the Daytona 500 and then just screwed them like they tried to do to him.

only reason they are putting him back in the car is because he was not going to take it and sue them

AJ Allmendinger's agent said his driver is not under contract with GEM and that he would not do to a driver/person like Sadler what was done to him at Red Bull Racing. but alos hearing he will drive the #10 as a part-time ride
  • i love bill and he is one of the few old school drivers left and anyone should be more than happy to have him ,but nascar has shot its self in the foot over the last several yrs by buying into giving the young kids shots at big time and its cost the sport ,,,but anyways bill will be happy with whatever he has at this stage
  • I hope he tries to go to a different team....

BUT YAY! At least he's driving!
  • Okay... so fired and re-hired. Elliot must be pretty damn happy about the merger.
  • I'm so happy he got a car. The team is definitely on my good list though but I'm happy he has a ride. Hopefully he doesn't get the crappy cars now. His contract goes through 2010 and I see him staying even longer than that if his performance picks up. He really likes GEM even if they don't like him.
  • i'm happy he's back.
  • It's alright if it was already asked and worth answering twice. I like Elliott and I am glad to see he will be back this year. I bet he give 110% just to show off and if he wants to pursue other avenues next year I can't imagine anyone blaming him for it.

Elliott is a cool cat! (As DW would say)
  • I'm glad he is back but I'm not sure I'd want to be in the 19, wonder if all this will effect his performance this yr, IDK I wish him the best but I would have loved to see him DEI-Ganissi Chevy. Hope he has a great yr.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • He's a bigger person than I am. (figuratively)
I'm not sure I'd want the car back after having been let go like that.
  • YES AND THREATENING A LAW SUIT ALWAYS INSURES YOU'RE GONNA GET THE BEST EQUIPMENT THEY'VE GOT TOO!
LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER YEAR OF THE 19 CAR BEING AN ALSO RAN OR A RETAINING WALL TESTER!!!!
  • Just like I said in Jeff's question. I'm glad for Elliot and Tom and all Elliot's fans, but I still hope the opportunity comes along for him to go to a different team, sponsors and all, and have a great year without GEM and their b/s. Now that would be a hoot! :)
  • I am thrilled that Elliott will have a ride this year. But if I were Elliott I would be looking for a new ride because the handwriting is on the wall.
  • Are u talking about Law and Order. If u r then I'm sure that he won't change to another team.
Anyway, listen to this, I asked my grandmother if she can record it for me cause I wanted to see what was going to happen to him. So she did, but yeah the wrong. So I did miss that episode, but Elliott will stay!
  • yeah i saw. good thing too.hard to find grocery item
  • What charities is your favorite driver(s) involved in?

    May be...

What a good heart he has.

Many drivers are involved in great charities but Kyles just touches my heart in a big way.
  • Kurt has the Kurt Busch foundation that help towards health care, education, career training and rehabilitation. He aslo had a building built at the Victory Junction camp that is called the Kurt Busch "Superdome". Its a 15,000 sq ft indoor softball field. Its pretty cool looking.

    http://www.trpr.com/2008/KB/KurtBuschSup...
  • Well, I suppose Maggie covered it.
I have a friend who just moved down to North Las Vegas and she tells me it's pretty well known (for those that actually live there, not the tourists) that both Kurt and Kyle are pretty notorious for their charity work throughout the Las Vegas community.
And he did a charity with Pedigree called "Kyle's Miles" to raise money and awareness for the adoption of shelter dogs.
  • Tony Stewart is involved in many charities.

First, The prelude to a dream.

    Victory Junction

    Tony Stewart foundation.

I am sure there's at lot more, but I'm a work and the boss is lurking.....

  • Well since Reed Sorenson was OFFICIALLY confirmed as the driver of the #43 yesterday he now becomes my favorite driver....unfortunately I don't much about him....so I am still in my research stage of getting to know him. So I hope he is involved in charity and if it's one I can believe in as well will definitely support it! I plan to drive down to the RPM shop once everything gets settled with the merger. Petty Enterprises would never let you tour their shop....I hope the new RPM shop (GEM DID) will allow my son and I actually see a #43 in process of building it. Man, I wish had an inside source inside RPM !!!!

  • The Jeff Gordon Foundation does a lot for children and is pushing for a National Marrow Donor Program

In August 2008, The Jeff Gordon Foundation began a campaign to provide funding for the purchase of eight state-of-the-art Neonatal incubators for the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital. After the NICU received these new beds, they wanted to do something worthwhile with the old beds which were still in working condition.

  • Who will be Penske Racing's top driver in the 2009 Nascar Sprit Cup series? ?

    May be...

  • Stremme will be good? Don't hold your breath on that one.
  • Kurt Busch! Go #2. That would be cool to have sadler in the #77.
  • Kurt Busch, hands down.Kurt is one of the greatest talents in NASCAR today.I just wish that Penske would provide him with some cars that would show that talent as the Roush 97 did a few years ago.If Penske does that,we will be looking at a serious threat for the 2009 championship and beyond. As far as the other drivers go,I don't believe David Stremme will do much in the 12;he really hasn't impressed me much in any series. If Sadler does get the 77 ride and the equipment is good,he will be better than in years past as well. However,I still think Kurt would be the top dog :)
  • How can it not be Kurt? He's the best driver on the team hands down!!!
  • Kurt Bush will definitely be "The Man". Stremme is a good addition and I hope he'll bring strength to the team. It's pretty unanimous that we all are pulling for Elliot to get a ride. Don't worry Dave, Kurt won't loose his Crown. :)
  • I definitely think Kurt will be the leader at Penske. I expect him to rebound and make the chase with a few wins. But Stremme might do okay. He was in the Top 12 in points early in 2007 when he got fired by Ganassi. He is much better than what his record shows. I think the #77 will improve in '09 regardless if it is Hornish or Sadler driving. But with a veteran like Sadler, the #77 would do much better and would be in the Top 20 in points. Hopefully it will be a good year for the Captain!
  • Kurt Busch will shine head and shoulders above Stremme

  • No limb to climb here. Kurt is the best of the Captain's fleet. He'll make the chase for sure. David will push Kurt to victory at Daytona as a good teammate should. (see Daytona '08). Sam is in this for the long haul, but he need's to qualify better and not waste Kurt's championship points. We can only hope for the best big d.
  • You got it Kurt is it!
  • Kurt Busch FTW!
  • Im going out on a limb and say Kurt but I think Stremme will be good too.

As a side note I would love to see Elliott Saddler in the #77.
  • Well I'm not trying to go negative, but it better be Kurt Busch. What I mean is, he went to Penske with the dream of taking the Blue Deuce back to the top. And Penske had the same dream. With the way things have gone lately, the two of them might get tired of each others company, if no big gains are made this year.
  • I think Kurt will no doubt. I'm curious what it was they stumbled on last year that made them faster at the end of the year and also curious if it that will carry on over to this year. I think Kurt will be in the spotlight more this year.
  • Definitely Kurt. Like you, I'd love to see Elliott in the 77.
  • Kurt Busch all the way. DAvid Stremme I think will be good. And I do agree I wish Elliot Sadler would drive the 77 car. He would be a defineate improvement.h2 tires for sale

  • Kurt Busch! Go #2. That would be cool to have sadler in the #77.
  • Kurt Busch FTW!
  • Stremme will be good? Don't hold your breath on that one.
  • You got it Kurt is it!
Hopefully it will be a good year for the Captain!breastfed children

    D. Bill Elliott

    2. What year did Kyle Petty make his 700th start in the series?
    A. 2004
    B. 2005
    C. 2006
    D. 2007

    3. Who was the last driver to sweep both Cup races at Bristol in a single season?

    A. Matt Kenseth
    B. Jeff Gordon
    C. Kurt Busch
    D. Jimmie Johnson

    4. Which driver finished 2nd in the 1999 Las Vegas 400?
    A. Jeff Burton
    B. Terry Labonte
    C. Bobby Labonte
    D. Ward Burton
  • I am assuming all questions are related solely to Winston/Nextel/Sprint cup races...

    1. Besides single cup races back in 1981 and 1994 in other car numbers, Kirk Shelmerdine drove the # 27 in two cup races in 2002, one cup race in 2005, and two cup races in 2006. He also ran 18 cup races in 2004 in the # 72.

    2. Kyle Petty made his 700th cup start at Watkins Glen on August 15th, 2004.

    3. Kurt Busch swept both Bristol cup races in 2003. He also won the first race there in 2002, 2004, and 2006. No one has swept both races in a single season since, but Matt Kenseth did win back-to-back fall races in 2005 and 2006 and Carl Edwards has won the last two fall races there.

    4. Ward Burton finished second in the 1999 Las Vegas 400, behind his younger brother Jeff.

  • How much does racing hurt your car?

    May be...

  • totally depends on how hard you race it and how good of equipment you got, there is no way to tell a set miles or anything like that, to tell you the truth im a automotive technician and im 23 so im kinda into that kinda stuff and im going to be honest unless you got alot of money to waste and you know alot about cars its not something you would want to get into right now, and if you dont know alot about cars you better have a WHOLE lot of money cuz everything is expensive especially Performance parts and everything breaks when your racing a car (trust me alot eventually breaks) its more of a hobby and something you want to do to a car that's not the car you drive, i could go on and on and on, I hate to tell you dude but your Dad is right, sometimes it sux and i h8 when my dad is right too but u gotta realize there smarter then us cuz they been around twice as long as us and probably been there and tried that or at least knows someone who has
  • nascar cars are usually torn down after the season but they only race a car 2-3 times
  • I am looking to get a mustang GT, which, to be honest, I plan on racing once or twice a month at the quarter mile track. My dad isn't too happy about it. He says that it is going to hurt my car if I do that. Now, I am not going to be dumb when I race, I am NEVER going to redline it cause thats just stupid. Besides that, I will change the oil, and take good care of it. How badly will the racing hurt my car? How many miles will it last?
  • the only thing that will suffer is your tires, and possibly your transmission, the engine in a MGT is a strong SOB though. If it is an automatic trans, than yeah it will suffer horribly, if it is a stick, you better be damn good and make sure your shifts are perfect otherwise you'll blow it.
  • I can't give you any quantifiable data, but just think about the fact that NASCAR cars are completely torn down and rebuilt after each race.
  • This is not the 1970's

Cars have electronic rev limiters you will not be able to over rev the car. If you get a manual transmission the starts will prematurely wear your clutch and clutch parts but that is not something that is terribly expensive and or difficult to do yourself in a rear drive car. Make sure you keep fresh oil in the differential not just the the transmission and engine. If you are drag racing the car you will need to change *all* of the oil more frequently.

Finally to the guy who thinks they rebuild a Nascur engine every race -- they are not allowed to do that by rule the engine has to last at least 3 races (or more?).find people hiding
  • Who is the stig from top gear?

    May be...

  • If you type "Top Gear Stig" in the Search bar above, you will probably get the same results that I just did!
  • Boris Johnson!!
  • I'm the stig, well ok I'm not but my b/f is and I'm not lying about that ;)
  • That is officially unknown & its the way its supposed to be. Most think that British racer Ben Collins is the current white Stig though. The 1st black Stig was Perry McCarthy who revealed that identity after his Stig was 'killed off' following a botched aircraft carrier stunt.
  • I think it's changed a few times. From rumours I've heard they've all been racing drivers.
  • yes but I think the mystery makes the stig, if they told us who he was it would ruin it. Report Abuse
  • Ben Collins, I think is the most likely candidate, however from the pictures on Autotrader, I think it could be Mark Webber, it is possible for an F1 driver to do that in between his training routine etc. And don't forget Marks time in the wet was about as many seconds off the stigs dry time that they say its worth. Also Mark only lives up the road, in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, as the Red Bull Factory is in Milton Keynes.

Although, the picture does show a striking resemblance to Mark Blundell, and Damon Hill in fact.

My moneys on Mark Webber- He lives near bye, and will be able to fit it into his schedule, however surely he'd be breaking his sponsorship deals, but they do both (webber and stig) wear PUMA gloves and boots. But Mark doesn't wear a Simpson helmet.

However, dont laugh but i've always had my suspisions about James May, Maybe their playing the double bluff?

But maybe their playing the double with Webber, they gave him a tshirt saying I am the stig on.

  • NASCAR driver -Glenn "Fireball" Roberts. How did i get my nick name?

    May be...

  • When did he win his frist race and how old was he.
Where and how old to win his frist NASCAR race
  • The myth is that it came from pro baseball...but his sister said no it came from:
" "He never played any organized sports except a very little football. He picked up the nickname "Fireball" from participation in sandlot games as a baseball pitcher. I believe they call them pickup games, " says his sister, who didn't wish her name used. "I don't know where the Zellwood Mud Hens story came from."

    http://www.fireballroberts.com/Fireball2...

I am going to say he got his first win at 19...even though thats when he entered NASCAR...1949...he was born in 1929 but was 19 when he started racing...I can't find his very first win...all the articles so far just say his first race he wrecked on the 9th lap but "went on to many wins"
    http://nascarfans.wetpaint.com/page/Fire...

HERE IT IS::: His first victory came August 13, 1950, in Hillsboro, North Carolina, driving an Oldsmobile 88 in a 100-mile NASCAR-sanctioned Grand National Race. It took just seven years from that first win for Fireball to be voted NASCAR's most popular driver in 1957.

  • What race was it when tony stewart went below the yellow line for the win or was it?

    May be...

  • Hoff got it right. First applied to Stewart at Daytona, July 2001.
  • or when was first time below the yellow line was implied...it was against stewart right??????
  • You might be thinking of the fall 2008 Talladega race in which Regan Smith made a late pass on Stewart coming to the line for what appeared to be his first career victory, but officials ruled that the pass was made below the yellow line and the victory was disallowed. Smith said he was forced below the line, but the officials determined that he never should have attempted the pass to begin with.

The rule says that a driver cannot go below the yellow line and advance his position. If he goes below it accidentally and gives up the track position then he usually isn't penalized for it. The yellow line rule at the superspeedways has been in effect for several years for safety reasons.
  • the only one i seen was dega. that boy has alot of controversy around him.
  • Wasnt it Talladega last year when Ragan smith went below it...but they gave the win to Stewart because they said it was illegal. caused much controversy I remember.
  • This is what you are talking about:

The rule has been controversial ever since it was first applied in the July 2001 Pepsi 400 at Daytona. Tony Stewart, racing for the lead and a potential $1 million bonus, was at the bottom of a four-wide pack late in the race. With little room to run four wide, Stewart dipped below the line rather than give up his position. NASCAR black-flagged him, but he ignored the penalty. While Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Michael Waltrip went on to finish first and second, NASCAR dropped Stewart to 26th, the final position on the lead lap. That decision prompted an ugly incident in which Stewart had to be restrained by team owner Joe Gibbs.air mile credit card canada
