What Do You Like/Hate About #12?

May be...

  • I like that he's intelligent and thinks before he speaks. He isn't mouthy or belligerent, but he doesn't take anything off anybody. He drives hard but clean. What's not to like?
  • Seems like a real nice guy and drives clean. gets the most out of the car without wrecking it
  • I like how clean and hard he races.

I hate how boring he is, I mean not even a donut? C'mon.
  • Jeff Burton
  • Like-He is a respectable,clean driver and a safety advocate

Dislike-He isn't agressive enough(which is why he[and Mark Martin] will probably never win a championship) :(
  • Like - when was the last time you heard something negative come out of his mouth?

Hate - talks too much on interviews.
  • I like how he is very honest and determined.

I don't like it when he wins he doesn't do burn outs.
  • people actually hate numbers ???????
  • He has to be one of the real nice guys out there, keeps his nose clean, stays outta trouble. He has true real talent. I'd like to see him win a championship. There is absolutely nothing to hate about Jeff Burton, but RCR has got to find some speed and kick it up a notch or two.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Like- He's become an ambassador to the sport. All the younger drivers go to him for advice.

    Dislike- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQSJblJj5...
( I was there, it was heartbreaking) I don't dislike anything about Jeff.
  • He is a great guy. A couple of years ago we went to Childress' fan day. Jeff Burton stayed and signed for everybody in his line, whether we had wrist bands or not. We got there late and didn't get wristbands, but we got JB"s autograph. Harvick wouldn't sign just 20 extra, not even 1.
  • Like- everything
dislike-nuthin' (Y'all like my imitation of Ward Burton??) lol
  • Jeff Burton seems to be a great guy, he is a gentleman, and a mentor to the other drivers.

I dont think there is anything I dislike about him.
  • He never makes a right hand turn.
  • Jeff Burton is a nice/down to earth guy and a great driver.

There is nothing I don't like about him that I can think of.
  • I like that he is a clean driver but doesn't tolerate any crap. Can't think of anything I don't like about the guy!bicester factory outlets
  • Does anyone know what time the toyota all star racing starts on Speed channel' I know rain pushed everything ?

    May be...

  • I know rain washed out yesterday so is speed channel going to carry all the events today?
  • I guess they found a way to lineup the cars without qualifying as that was rained out. Coverage of events on SPEED starts tonight at 10 PM EST and is scheduled to run for five hours as I believe their is two races. Going to be a long but fun night!chrysler crossfire rent

  • What 2 cars started on the front row for the daytona 500 in 2006?easy 10 points!?

    May be...

  • jeff burton and jeff gordon both with chevrolets
  • 1.Jeff Burton
    2.Martin Truex Jr.
  • The lap cars
  • 1 Jeff Burton car number 31 #2 Jeff Gordon car number 24
  • Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon!!!!!!!!!
  • In a complete sentence, the two cars that were on the front row for the Daytona 500 in 2006 were Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon.
  • Dale Earnhart and Dale Jarred.
  • Jeff Burton and...Elliott Sadler or Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon
  • Jeff Burton & Jeff Gordontargus-laptop-tote
  • What Do You Like/Hate About #6?

    May be...

  • Elliott Sadler awwww man, he is such a down to earth country boy. I love his personality and humor.

Dislikes. Well I dont really have any dislikes, I just wish he would step up and show people what he has.
  • I like his attitude.
    I hate his...bad luck?
  • I really like his sense of humor.Cool guy.
  • These are fun---good job Tazer!

I like that he's a good ol country boy cut from the same cloth as Ward Burton, Jimmy Hensley, Leonard Wood, Jeff Hensley, Jeff Burton, Ronnie Thomas and other great drivers from the state of Virginia.
He's true to himself and true to his fans. His courage to stand up to GEM and not walk away with his tail tucked between his legs.
And I like that he now drives for the King.

I don't like some of the decisions he makes during a race. He has caused (in my opinion) a few wrecks that could have been avoided if he would have extended a little more patience. But other than that...Elliott is tops in my book.
  • His southern accent, and his charity work for autism speaks
  • Elliott Sadler
  • What isn't their to love? Nice guy, good driver, good spokesman and commentator.
hate- He is married now! My divorce is final and he ties the knot! Oh well!
  • I like his personality, I like his optimism, and I like his style.

I hate his lack of balls and poor results as of late.
  • Nothing to hate, Elliott is so cool, love his accent.. I would just like for him to have better racing luck. Been a long time since he has won a race, come on Elliott, its time to win, we all in Nascar Nation wants your favorite fan Mr Prez, jump, scream, and go nuts when you finally win again.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Like- To look at him and listen to that yummy southern accent.

    Dislike- He's a bit over-rated.
  • I like that he is a race car driver
  • nothing to hate, just seems like a good down to earth person
  • Great personality

He sucked big time at the track.
  • I like his attitude and demeanor. I hate that he seems to have accepted his role as also-ran.
  • Like: He's great with sponsors. If I needed a driver that could get me sponsors, I'd go for Sadler.

Dislike: He's not that great. He's been in decent equipment at GEM, and yet hasn't shown anything spectacular; he's been barely Top 25 in points.
  • Likes: Great driver, great personality for the sport.

Hates: Not very contentious for wins lately, he needs to win or he will no longer be in the sport passed 2011.

Nascar Trivia! Can you name the first rookie 500 pole sitter?

    May be...

  • I know that Jimmie Johnson did it in 2002 in the #48 car sponsored by Lowe's but I am guessing it was somebody else. I'm looking for it right now.
edit: AHA, it was Loy Allen, Jr in 1994. He was a rookie then, in the #19 Hooters car owned by Tri-Star Motorsports. Bobby Hamilton was probably the most well known of all the drivers in the relatively short time this team was around from 1989-1996.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • loy Allen j.r. was hired for Tri-Star's #19 Hooters Ford in 1994. He won the pole position for the season-opening Daytona 500(the first rookie to ever do so) and finishing 22nd.
  • very complicated question. Hmmm....
  • jimmie johnson, #48 lowe's chevy, 2002
  • jimmie jonshon I SAW HIM WIN THE POLE 2002
  • Jimmie Johnson
  • Since my guess for this year's pole (in another question) is Scott Speed I thought I would ask this question. Do you know who the first rookie pole sitter for the Daytona 500 was? What year did it happen?
What car #/Sponsor/Team?? Good luck and have fun with it!bianchi rossi spring break
  • Who wins the pole for the Daytona 500??

    May be...

  • I agree. It will be Jeff Gordon.
  • i think Dale Jr will win the pole and jimmy johnson will get second
  • JEFF GORDON AND 2 GREG BIFFLE
  • I am going to go with Ryan Newman, but my man Tony Stewart is gonna win.
  • I am putting Jamie Mac on the Pole, he finished hot last year and I think he is going to start the same way this year.

My thoughts and prayers are always with your son Lenny. I hope he dosen't have to continue the 12 on 12 off so he can at least get a little R&R. I hope his 349 days zips by for him and for you. God Bless.
  • I'm going with Michael Waltrip, yeah its a long shot, but he does pretty good on plate tracks.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Jimmie "Chad will find a way" Johnson
  • I too am going with Jeff Gordon...this will be his "come back" year. I do think the trophy goes to one of three...Jeff, Kyle or Jimmie. But anything can happen as we saw last season. I am getting all excited that it isn't far off.

Yes the countdown begins for Brax to come home. You know lenny I would like to send him a phone card...since I have your address can I send it to you to send?? I bet others here would like to do that as well. Any small gesture that would make his stay a bit easier and go a little faster.
  • I will go with Jeff Gordon............I think he has a big rebound year!!
  • my gut is telling me that it will be kyle busch.
  • I think last year's winner Ryan Newman will win the pole. I think Jeff Gordon's gonna win the race.
  • this year i think it will be an upset.........SCOTT SPEED

    just an opinion as always

Hey Lenny...keep us posted on your son....ok?

$90 is a crime! He's still in our thoughts and prayers...hopefully those 300+ days will go quick!
    God bless!
  • I am going to say my fave!!! Dale Junior!!!!
He has got to shake off the last part of last season and start out blazing this season. I am just hoping that he stays hot all season and not falters off again.
  • It seems like it's always a surprise pole winner that takes the pole for the Daytona 500, so I will guess Travis Kvapil.
  • either Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson will win but i hope your right. Johnson needs to let someone else win for a change.
  • One of the HMS boys.
  • I'm going with the guy that flips backwards off his car when he wins..I forget his name.....
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr. he did pretty good last year, considering it was his first year with hendricks. so i think that now that they are comfortable with everything this is going to be his year! :D
  • "Front Row" Joe Nemechek in the #87 NEMCO Motorsports entry!
  • I think Joey Logano might get it usually a rookie gets the daytona 500 pole if not him a Hendrick Driver Mark Martin or Jimmie Johnson.
  • .....Ryan Newman, seems to qualify well here.....
.....Kyle Bush could be the spoiler for the pole....
  • Waltrip, Sorry, but Mikey is coming back.
  • Im going with Travis Kvapil for the pole for the 500. Yates always has good "plate" horsepower and just horsepower in general.
  • If there's anything that means nothing, it's winning the pole at Daytona. I guess you some underserved exposure for a few days other than, pointless.
  • Jeff Gordon
  • i'm going with a long shot, bobby labonte. the rousch yates horsepower and how bobby used to perform on super speedways just make me want to pull pull for him.
  • Robert Yates Racing has not been good at races, but have fast cars for the Daytona 500. I would guess Travis Kvapil will be on the poll.panasonic hd projector
  • What kind of conversations do you think that will occur between Mikey Waltrip and "Bootie" Barker?

    May be...

  • On the scanner during the race and on pit stops. It ought to be pretty hilarious.
  • It will sound Boomhower is talking to Elmerfud.
  • Not sure what they'll say but I agree with that it will be pretty funny!
  • Never mind the conversations lets just hope Mikey listens to Bootie!
  • Yeah! I can imagine it would be funny as can be!
  • no mw is the worest driver in nascar
  • I am sure Booty will ask him "How's the weather up there?" and other classic cliche questions....ok that was mean. But yeah I agree it should be very very interesting between the two.

    Just an opinion as always.
  • Should be entertaining if nothing else.Mikey's radio communications usually are. Bootie's a smart guy, Mikey should be grateful to have him.
  • Amusing for sure. Go Kurt Go!!!
  • hopefully one's that will help poor old Mikey
  • Shoot, you may need to hire an interpreter.iac motor 3000gt

Which one is sexier Jeff Gordon or Dale Earnhardt ?

    May be...

  • Dale Jr is.
  • just asking
  • My nascar loving niece..soon to be 9 says Jr.
  • Jeff Gordon...unless you meant Dale Sr. Because if you mean senior...absolutely...had that dark and brooding kind of rough around the edge look about him.
  • w/o hesitation Dale Jr!!!
  • My man Jeff.
  • ♥Jeffrey Michael Gordon♥
  • Jeff Earnhadt
  • Neither, I am.

    Just look at that avatar....
  • definitely Ashley Force!!

This has nothing to do with Nascar, please don't waste your points!! Use your five points to ask REAL questions, Nascar is not about the cutest driver why do you think Junior only has 18 wins because his popularity amounts to nothing when it comes to winning races.
  • WHAT ! why would you want to even no THAT!
  • Dale Sr or Dale Jr, I like guys that look alittle rough on the edges, no designer jeans for me theres nothing like a guy in Wrangler.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • Neither, Tony Stewart is.mercurry
  • Who are your favorite Nascar Craftsman Truck Series drivers?

    May be...

  • If its Truck series ONLY:
    Colin Braun
    Matt Crafton

Including Cup guys that run trucks:
    Scott Speed
    Travis Kvapil
    Kyle Busch
  • Jack Sprague,Ron Hornaday,Johnny Benson and Matt Crafton.
  • Ricky Carmichael
    Mike Skinner

    Top Drivers..We'll see.
Hopefully a few wins here and their!
  • Ron Hornaday Jr, all driver no BS. He gets in the truck and wins, and he is in a Chevy.. Go KHI, Hornaday Jr & Carmichael.. Hornaday Jr is gonna win the championship for his late dad Hornaday Sr.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • Johnny Benson, Go Benson!! I am so thrilled he won the championship last year. I was worried that I would miss him this year, but he does have a ride. YESSSSSSSSSS!

Todd Bodine, Jack Sprague, Mike Skinner, Rick Crawford Ted Musgrave, and Chrissy Wallace.

I also like Brendan Gaughn but I'm not sure that he will be driving trucks this year, as he will be in the 62 car for Rusty Wallace.

I wish all of them great sucess this year and can't wait for the season to begin.
  • rowdy busch
  • colin darnell ron horday carmichel and harvick
  • i have a few; Ron Hornaday, Johnny Benson, Erik Darnell, Mike Skinner, and Todd Bodine.

i see each getting a few wins, and Benson winning the championship.
  • Ron Hornaday (no BS, old school racer) and Mike Skinner (one of the most underrated drivers in any NASCAR series) are cool but I like Johnny B (all around good guy and clean driver) too and was glad he won the championship last year.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • Mike Skinner, Ron Hornaday, Johnny Benson. All of them are good drivers and I'm sure all of them will win some races. I would like to see Johnny Benson win the Championship again, but we'll see.
  • Ron Honaday Jr.!!! He's the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • And how do you think they will do this year?
  • RON HORNADAY JR!!! i like a lot of jrs lol
  • Matt Crafton and Colin Braun
  • Harvick and Carmichael!

    All the way.

    They will do well.
  • Ron Hornaday!!
he's going to win lots this year!!bov wav
  • How do you think Jeff Gordon will do this year in Cup?

    May be...

  • i think he will do well as long as he and his crew chief remain on the same page. Jeff has got to get that first win under his belt and then there is going to be no stopping him.
  • Well even though he came 7th in standings last season without a win I don't think he had that great o0f a year. THIS year I see him doing much better. He's a champ and will be again before he retires. He is one of my top 5 to win the Daytona 500. Can't wait!!!
  • I think he will bounce back from last year's dissapointment and be refocused on trying to win his 5th championship. It has got to be getting a little tiresome for him to watch Jimmie take care of business during the chase the last 3 years. He puts on the game face and says all the right things in interviews but it has be eating at him. I think he will win 4 or 5 races and be right back in the mic during the chase. All the Hendrick cars will be more consistant this year and they will probably all make the chase.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • I hope he comes out like a bat outta hell and starts knockin' out w's right from the get go just to tick off his haters.
  • I think he will do much better.
  • I have high hopes that he will at least do much better. Last year was just hard waiting for the first win of the season to come when it didn't. I know that it will take a lot of work, but I really think Jeff is doing to dominate this year. I feel that he still has the fire in him to contend for championships.

I see 3-5 wins this year and at least a top five finish in points, but I hope he ends the season hoisting the Sprint Cup at Homestead. I think he deserves a title after what happened in '04 and '07. Regardless of what happens, I just hope he doesn't have another season like 2008. I have always been proud of Jeff no matter what. As long as he gets back into victory lane and contends for the title, then I will be satisfied.
  • maybe 1 win. He is not going to be a factor in the chase this year.
  • I think he will do good and turn that rotten luck from last season around!
  • Well he can't do much worse than last year ! I have been reading his blog and he seems more fired up than he has been lately so I hope they can get it together this year.
  • I hope he does better than last year, at least one win for his fans, come on JEFFY!!!
  • Im thinking he is going to get a handful or wins be in the chase and really have a great year. I think he is far from loosing his edge in the seat and will get back to where we are all use to seeing him and that's in victory lane often.

**I probably just jinxed him like I did Kenseth last year. :(**
Sorry Fire Storm if I did jinx him! :(
  • He will crash, then explode!custom car headlights
  • Nascar Nation? What do you think?

    May be...

  • I don't I think I would win because I know everything there is to know about Nascar and I would stomp you in the ground.
  • I wouldn't mind having them have some kind of trivia segment. Like a viewer call-in segment, or something like that. But it would suck for them to scrap the whole show format, in favor of a game show.

You would think that they would be afraid of losing ratings by alienating their fan base. But then again, there is certainly no lack of places to get your mundane, everyday NASCAR news. So maybe they are trying this to feed of the NASCAR fame, but go with something new and original. I still don't see it being to big of a hit.
  • I enjoy "Trading Paint" and hearing the thoughts of Kyle Petty. I really liked it when "Trading Paint" had 2 members of the media on and asked their opinion of different subjects.

I don't know if I would watch a trivia show. I enjoy trivia and seeing if I remember the answers or not.
  • I never really watched trading paint, but if it became a trivia contest I would for sure watch it. I live for game shows/ trivia shows!! And I think you could definately hold your own up there!
  • Jayski.com is reporting that Speed is going to reformat the "Trading Paint" show that starred John Roberts and Kyle Petty into a trivia style game show for fans still hosted by Roberts and Petty. So here's my question.....Do you think "Old Fart" and I (the two trivia buffs on this forum) would stand a chance? How 'bout it O.F. you up for a one on one no holds barred trivia contest between you and I? LOL!
Seriously what do you think about them changing the Trading Paint show which I really enjoyed into a game show of all things????best value for money computer
  • Have you heard about the offer Memphis Motorsports Park offered for Jr.?

    May be...

  • I would have kinda been upset too especially if I didn't know anything about it. I really don't think Dale Jr will be showing his face around Memphis unless he goes there to eat the ribs. But what I read yesterday is that Dale Jr has ribs from that place Fed Ex'ed to him once a week. Memphis style ribs are great but my favoorite is Texas styled.(Nice and sloppy) I think Im going to have to have ribs this week now.
  • yeah they tried to pull a fast one. But didnt get away with it.
Junior stepped up and put a stop to it fast. Good for him. ANd in the meantime he also mentioned the BBQ place that he does enjoy in Memphis.
  • Yea I saw that the other day. And like Trego said it was for the wrong BBQ. That's like saying to someone who likes the whopper that we'll give you life time supply of the big macs.
And Jr was upset the way they tried promoting a different place not his favorite, Rendezvous. He was sticking up for the place he likes, not because he wanted something from it. Kudos to Jr.
  • Memphis Motorsports Park has offered Jr. BBQ ribs for life, as he apparently loves Memphis BBQ ribs, to get him to race in the fall Nationwide race at Memphis.

I have read where Jr. states that this is just a gimmick to get him back to MMP.

Do you think MMP made a mistake, trying to get sales up for the fall Nationwide Race without the correct information and going through the appropriate channels to get Jr.

    http://memphismotorsportspark.com/track/...

    http://www.scenedaily.com/news/articles/...

I know the tracks are trying to increase sales, but wasn't this a little underhanded?

As usual inquiring minds want to know.
  • Yes ... this was a little underhanded. They accomplished what they set out to do. I'll admit when I read the offer BEFORE Dale Jr responded ... I was under the impression that the ribs Dale Jr liked were the ones that were sold at the track. It wasn't until Dale Jr made it perfectly clear that the ribs sold at the track were not the ribs that Dale Jr endorsed that I realized that this was a scam on behalf of the track owners. It's a cheap trick to use Dale Jr's popularity to gain popularity for themselves. This is something that a lot of people are doing. Drivers (no need to mention names) try to create rivalries between Dale Jr and themselves to gain popularity and also sponsors (Miller for example) try to create rivalries between their drivers and Dale Jr to gain exposure for their products. It's a cheap trick.
  • Junior hasn't raced there since 1999, he hardly races in NW anymore at all only for special occasions. They tried to use his name and falsely so just like Trego said Junior never even mentioned eating there or that they were his favorite ribs. It was Rendezvous ribs Junior likes he even held up the container to show everyone on his MTV cribs episode. Unfortunately I am sure this place will get more customers now even though Junior isn't endorsing them. Publicity is publicity good or bad. Also pretty sure Junior can afford all the ribs his little heart desires....LOL!!
  • They did not ask Jr. about this and he is not impressed with their weak offer. There is a BBQ place that he really likes in Memphis and the offer was for some other place. The BBQ that Jr likes is from Rendezvous. They are just trying to get some PR out of this without having to compensate Jr. for the use of his name. Shame on them.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • Wow, I can't believe they used his name without going through the proper channels. Yes, that is underhanded.ac adapter 5v 3a

    Nascar Nation................?

    May be...

  • Texas, and, uh, oh yeah - Texas!
  • ALL OF THEM!!!! I can't wait till NASCAR season starts back up!!!!
congrats, foxfire!!!!!!!!! you're a great member to Y/A and Nascar Nation!!!!!!
  • I always look forward to Bristol - both races.
Congrats to foxfire on her day of honor. I'd sing her praises, but nobody wants to hear me sing. Seriously. : )
  • Martinsville spring race because I may be going.

Have a great "Wacky Wednesday" Foxfire. :0)

    Enjoy your day! CHEERS!!!
  • All of them. Them are the days the boss (wife) don't talk to me thats make a real nice day then.

HAVE A GREAT DAY foxfire !!!!!!!1
  • All of the Nascar races are circled!

Foxfire you are a cool fox (lady.) Have a great day and stay warm.
  • The Brickyard is my annual race to attend so I would say that race is the one I circle. Have a great day Foxfire! GO 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hard to say what dates Im circling. Maybe the race at Walkins Glenn, I'm going to try to get tickets to that race. Never been to a race, and its the closest track
  • An imaginary circle on my b-day, which is always near the 500!!!

    Congrats foxfire!!!
  • Actually, since I think restrictor plate racing is lame, I don't overly excited about the 500. Actually I do, but only because its the first race. The real racing starts the following week at California. I get most excited about the races I'm going to, which is hopefully 5-6 this year, 4 at a minimum.
  • I always put multiple exlamation points and circle the Bristol night race! Every year.

    Foxfire have a great day!
  • 5/31/09 Dover, love me some concrete. Construction is moving along quite well. It should be a blast to see what they've done.
6/7/09 Pocono, the most beautiful scenery on the circuit.
    Foxfire Rock's.
  • The Vegas race. I guess I'm hoping/wishing that the hubby will take me to Vegas for the race.

Cheers to you Foxfire! Have a wonderful day.
  • The next one ;)

Congrats on your day Foxfire. Your Q/A's are always fun and you sure do bring a great deal of knowledge to the table each time. I hope you have a wonderful day. **Cheers!**
  • Charlotte. It's going to be my first race. I'm excited.

    foxfire, you are honored.

Congrats and have a good day, foxfire!
  • I have to say "the next one" because I have them all circled, so when I look at the calendar, the next one is circled!

Thank you guys for all the honors and great comments. I love you guys...awwwwwww....really. I don't know what I would do with out the great NASCAR Nation. Thanks!

    Today we will honor...

  • the bud shoot out, taladega etc, etc

Foxfire, you are a wonderful contact and member of Nascar nation. I really look forward to your questions and answers, you really know your stuff. Hope you have a great day.
  • I have the Homestead circled on my calendar. I am planning to go with a bunch of friends and it is gonna be a riot.

    Have a great day Foxfire.
  • Talledega races and the Summer Daytona Race to watch on TV, Bristol Spring race, and the Charlotte races to attend. I watch every race. I just enjoy those the most.
  • I love them all,but I always think a little more fondly of the 600,the Brickyard(until last year..ughh!),and the Talladega races.

  • With the economy the way it is which team to you see defunct by 2010?

    May be...

  • There's a few teams that are possibilities to close down, but the only ones that I would worry about are the 1 and 2 car teams. Of those, the Wood Brothers, Furniture Row, etc are all possibilities.

Sadly, I'd say the Wood Brothers are probably the most likely to end up folding. They aren't running but 1/3 the schedule this year, and they have no long-term funding. Furniture Row racing is safe since Denver Mattress is the owner AND sponsor, and they can pick and choose where they want to race.
  • I'm afraid it's going to be the Wood Brothers. I can't imagine NASCAR without them. Maybe they'll merge with Yates.
  • It breaks my heart to think about but I think Wood Brothers, Yates and DEI racing may be in trouble in 2010.
  • I agree with you. I think it will be DEI.
  • I say DEI. A shame but that is what I feel. Your thoughts?
  • Your guess is as good as mine. I wish no ill happenings to anyone but your pick of DEI is a pretty good pick of any if not a few more. I really don't like all these misfortunes to race teams because its the best sport in the world. But as that commercial says and I cant remember the company but it says"Life comes at you fast, real fast."
  • DEI
  • The Wood Brothers. The costs are huge in NASCAR and a ban on testing won't help enough.calendar 2005 printout
  • Have you heard of the"Dash for Cash" in the Nationwide series?

    May be...

  • ...... the idea is really good and has to put some additional intrest in the series. The fact it is for full time teams is good but there are some full time teams that use 2 or 3 part time drivers.
. Good idea hope it pulls in some more drivers , teams and sponsors for the series.
  • $25,000? Seems a bit weak to me. They should've at least made it worth showing up for.
I do like the idea though, they need to do something to bring more attendance/viewership to the Nationwide series..
  • I would like it if it worked like it sounds.

The top 6 qualifiers have a 10 lap trophy dash for the cash (the 25,000).

Just adding to the purse isn't a big deal.
  • Yeah, Dave I have and think it's a neat idea. However I feel it should be for true NATIONWIDERS only not the "Claimjumpers". Lord knows the true Nationwide teams NEED the money. But I think it will add some excitement....who knows I may actually watch those races this year....I haven't watched a Nationwide race in years (start to finish) in years. They need to do something....attendance and ratings have been falling for the past few years. Just an opinion as always.
  • Well $75,000 isn't that bad could be better though. I think it should be 50k for winning the races and 50k for the most points. (If you win all four races you will have the most points so that second bonus is your as well) And even if the same driver doesn't win all four there is still a $50,000 bonus for the most points, which I think is a great addition. But I think all Cup drivers shouldn't be eligible, just the Nationwide drivers.
  • I like the idea, but I kinda feel like $25,000 isn't all that much. The Winston Million back in its heyday (yes, that was Cup, but still) was such a huge prize that everyone tried to get it. $1M in prize money was even more than what they got for winning the Daytona 500 so you bet they were going to be gunning for that paycheck.

$25,000 is almost a joke prize. Teams in Nationwide win and often get less prize money than the lowest finishing Cup team at their race, which really is pathetic. Take for example last year when Kenny Wallace finished 3rd in the Nationwide #28. His team won $41,000 or so, and then had $10,000 in fines taken for a small infraction. NASCAR didn't give them enough prize money to race, and then they took about 25% of it as a penalty for a small infraction. To a team like Jay Robinson Racing, $10k in a penalty is a lot, whereas it's a drop in the bucket for the big teams.

So yeah, I like the idea of the Dash for Cash, just not how little the prize money is.
  • 1. Very cool. I would like to see them add a few more bucks to it (should be at least $100,000-$200,000 for winning the 4 events).

    2. It should be Nationwide drivers only. If you race the 2009 season fulltime in Cup, your out of the running automatically.

    Sounds pretty cool and familiar.
  • I love this idea its like when nascar use to have the winston million but for the nationwide its really cool.
  • Hey Dave! I just read about it a while ago. I think it's cooooool.
  • I'd like it if it was only NW drivers.amidar israel
  • Nascar Nation? What was the last car #?

    May be...

  • Is the answer Pete Hamilton in the #40 at talladaga in 1970.

Has a complete list of previous drivers and a Timeline of the history of Petty Enterprises.
  • I'm guessing the 42. The 44 and 45 never made it to victory lane.
  • to win for Petty Enterprises OTHER THAN THE #43???? I thought this would be interesting to post since it is possible that Kasey and Elliott could get a win for the King this year in a # other than #43. We all know that John Andretti last won in the #43 10 years ago at Martinsville. But who was the driver who last won for Petty in another # or team car to the #43???? Good luck and have fun with it!
  • 11...... Buddy Baker for Petty Enterprises in a '71 Dodge, at the Rebel 400 on May 2, 1971...????

    How many active drivers????

    May be...

  • have won every event that is "currently" on the schedule? If no driver has won every event, has any won every track?

It is not Johnson BTW(I know I usually load the questions lol).Johnson has a win or a second place finish at every track except for:Infineon(best finish=5th),Watkins Glen(3rd),Bristol(3rd),and Michigan(3rd).
  • I really don't think there has been such a driver that has won at every track.
  • Does NASCAR 08 count? If so than I have made history!
Okay I'm just the Biggest NASCAR Fan!
  • Jeff Gordon is the closest followed by Tony Stewart.
  • Hell no.
  • I believe no driver has done it! Gordon is the closest to doing it though. He has won at every track exept for Texas and Homestead! of course...both race tracks are in the chase!
  • Gordon and tony have to be closest
  • Gordon is the closest: he's only got to win at Texas and Homestead, which I believe are his two worst tracks statistically (at least Texas is, as it's the only track he's ever finished 43rd at). He's also won at two tracks that NASCAR doesn't race at anymore: North Wilkesboro and Rockingham.

I would say Tony Stewart is pretty close to winning at every track he's run at, and Jimmie Johnson is probably somewhat close.

So to answer your question, none have won at every current track. One driver is two tracks away though.kailo-chic-laptop-sleeve
  • Do you think Dale Jr of #88 is ready to win most races this year?

    May be...

  • I love jr but i dont think he is going to win the most races but he will win a good amount of them but i want carl edwards to die i hate that dude
  • I don't think he will win the most races, but for sure I hope he wins 2 or 3, make the chase and have a chance to win the Championship, but if he wins the most races thats awesome.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • Sorry, I just don't think he is a very talented driver.
  • I see him winning a couple races this year but he will not win the most races of all the drivers in the cup series. He won't even be first or second in wins out of the drivers on his own team and could end up last if Mark wins 2 or 3 races.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • as likable as jr is i think it's time to admit that he may not even be one of the top 5 drivers ever employed by hms and i don't think he will ever dominate. tim richmond, dw, gordon, johnson, busch, and mark martin are all drivers i believe that when their driving careers are in the record books will finish ahead of our most popular of the day. junior will be fine, but he may never do any better than be a consistent top ten finisher in the points. probably 0 championships with the competition today.
  • Godspeed to him!
  • I don't think he will win most of the races, I'd love it but not gonna happen. I have no doubts that he will do better than last year and I expect him to have a seat on the stage in NY this year;)

    Goooo Junior!
  • Maybe 1, as long as he doesnt pass the pace car.
  • I think he will win 2 maybe 3 races, then finish most others with some top 5's and several top 10's. I think that would be considered a pretty good year.
  • My husband thinks so.....
  • HELL NO HELL NO HELL NO NO NO NO NO NO! HE WILL NOT WIN THE MOST RACES!
  • i think he can if...if he drives more like his daddy the "intimidator". too often he'll be leading a race in the late laps and then somehow lose it. that's when he needs to get mentally tougher.
  • he may be ready to, but he isn't going to.
  • yep, he's gonna win 'em all. 36-0 baby!
  • He as a driver yes. The #88 as a team....no. I honestly feel Dale Jr is a talented driver....but his crew chief Eury Jr. is holding him back. I think with a new crew chief Dale Jr. would be a strong contender. I am not a #88 fan nor a #88 hater....but I would like to see him be successful...but I think his cousin ruins his chances. Would love to see him get a new crew chief. Just an opinion as always.
  • No, he will win 1 maybe 2
  • I think he will do really well. He has always done well, but 09 he will have more wins then he had last year. Best of luck to him! I also hope he wins the Bud shootout like last year. That would be cool.
  • I think EVERY driver feels like winning most of the races.

Jr. is a tough nut to crack. He has the talent, but it just seems to wane towards the end of a race.

I wish him well this year.canada tax refund for tourists
  • Will Tony Stewart look "less fat" in a Chevrolet?

    May be...

  • That didn't sound right. Oh well... you know what I mean?
  • Yes, Smoke does look better in a Chevy.. He has been busy in the off season with the new team, more stress so he has lost some weight. He looked great in the Tv interviews. Welcome Back to Chevy Smoke, back where you belong.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • He was on a pre season special on saturday on speed, and he looks lie he dropped a good amount of weight. I guess driving a chevy definitely gave him an advantage.
  • Smoke looks good....
    Especially in a Chevy!
Anyone looks much much better in a Chevy!
  • No,he,s will still have a belly.I think he,ll be alot happier with chevy.Hopefully he,ll win more races this season.Go Smoke!!!!
  • Tony will look the same as he did 2 years ago :). I still think he looked better in that Grand Prix, but Chevy is still ten times better than Toyota. Good luck Smoke.
  • He's been in a Chevy before and it didn't "slim him down".
  • So he is a little heavy - who cares? As long as he is happy and doing well in the chevy -it matters how he feels in it. Tony is comfortable in his own skin so the Chevy will make him happier so maybe he won't be as frustrated so he will eat less. Who Knows. if he doesn't look thinner that just means that there is more of him to pass around. And there are a lot of woman here that would not pass on him not matter his size.
I hope that makes sense! GO SMOKE
  • I'm with Beth, he sure looks a lot better in a chevy! Go tony!
  • He certainly looks lots cooler in a Chevrolet.
  • If that were the case, everyone with 20 or so lbs. to shed would be heading to their local Chevy dealerships so they could look less fat while driving.

Tony shed quite a few pounds throughout the '08 season. He looks good.airport locations usa

    NASCAR Nation........?

    May be...

  • I think Casey will find a home at RCR. Im sure he will be alot more relaxed there with Richard as the boss instead of Rick.

Good luck Tom with college. You are a very bright young man and will do very well. Youve been a great friend to me and I wish you the very very best! Go get'em.
  • good luck Prez
I certainly hope so, I'm getting tired of changing the tatoo number on my ---------
  • Hopefully El Presidente' will keep in step with us. Good luck in college, Whatcha studying? And remember, it's only illegal IF you get caught.

I think Casey will settle in nicely at RCR.
  • As far as Casey Mears, it's hard to say. Nothing's for sure anymore.

    Congrats Prez! Stick with it!
  • I think he'll stay there for a season or two and end up somewhere else.
He won't do any better at RCR.

Well...good luck at college Tom. You're a smart kid, you should do well.
  • Never give up Prez!!! We know you have potential.

I don't think Casey's talent will earn him a permanent home at RCR.
  • Cassey will be a welcomed addition to RCR
Good Luck Tom- i feel such like a mother hen right now- if i catch you here when you should be studying well.........on the serious side you will do us all proud.
  • I think Casey will be fine at RCR. He shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Good Luck in College Tom, I know you will do Great!!!!
  • I am very hopeful that Casey will find a home at RCR. He truly deserves to find a place where he won't be jerked around. I think RCR will be that place.

As for our Prez, good luck tomorrow with college I am sure you will do great.
  • I think Casey will do fine at RCR, but he is going to have to try hard cause the other three team mates are winners. Mr Prez, college is a lot of fun and a lot of work. Don't forget us here at Nascar Nation. Study hard and have a good time. I wishing you lot of luck but you will do just fine.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • I hope he does for his sake, he needs somewhere to call home.

Mr Prez, what can I say...You're a great guy, contact, and friend, and one of my favorite people on here. So I wish you all the luck in the world with school. Good luck and we'll be thinking about you tomorrow when your hitting the books.
  • Let's Go Mr Prez! Buddy Wish you all the Best! You make sure you don't miss any NASCAR Action while away! Your the Best man! Take Care Hit us up sometime!

Casey Mears fits Perfect at RCR.
  • He will have a home there if he produces unless all Richard was looking for was a steady driver to field a 4th car. There is nothing horribly wrong with Mears but there is also nothing all that spectacular about him either. I like him but NASCAR is a results based business and sponsors want their cars in victory lane.
edit: We sure hope that your leap to college is rewarding and fulfilling. I won't wish you luck because I don't feel you need it at all. I have no doubt it will come easy for you and that your future will be bright. Have a great day Prez!
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • Congrats Tom...keep your nose to those books but don't forget to have some fun too!! We will miss you here so much but you stop in when you can.!!!!!

Well we will see what Casey can do...maybe he will take of with RCR ..hopefully all have settled in where they are and no one without a ride in the future. .
  • Our little Prez has grown up so fast hasn't he????

Prez...you know that you are a good buddy and ally here on Y/A.
I enjoy your q and a....and really like the way you defend your driver
to the bitter end. I have a lot of respect for you!

Casey will have to produce period. RC will not put up with anything put
especially since that 07 car has been so tough in the past. So I think he's still got a lot to prove. Just an opinion as always.

    Go get 'em Prez!!!!
  • Thank you all. You all are the best. Tom, to answer your question, I am studying business and marketing and I will try to keep it legal. ;) Thank you all for the good luck. Hopefully I don't cash all that luck in tomorrow alone. Lol
  • Sure hope that Casey has landed where he needs to be. I'd like to see him prove the naysayers (Tbone) wrong. : )
Best of luck to Tom, but what does that guy need with higher education? He's already our president. With a degree, he might rule the world!
  • Lets hope so I like casey so good luck to him

    GOOD LUCK to the PREZ!!!
  • Good you you, Prez. I am proud of you for continuing your education! Best wishes, and study hard.

Casey? Well, I would really like to see him "land" somewhere. I think he has the potential to do well with a team that will work with him, and appreciate him.

    *JAKD*
  • Good Luck Mr. President, KEEP YOU NOSE IN THEM BOOKS and not the girls my friend!!! LOL

I believe Casey's sitting pretty over at RCR and I think he will do better this year!!
  • I think Casey is going to do really good this year.I believe it may be a little slow the first half but after that I think he will be in the top 10 to 15
  • That's pretty cool ! Our Prez going to college on inauguration day ! I think Casey will fit in great at RCR . Congratulations Mr. Prez !! I hope you do well!
  • Tomorrow is our very own Prez's first day at College and I thought we could take a moment to wish him luck. Sorry you have to miss the Inauguration ;(

Do you think Casey Mears may finally have a home at RCR and not anymore flip-flopping around?
  • Good luck Prez, and i hope and think Casey Mears will do good at RCR and stay, if RCR will give him as good of equipment as all the other drivers.
  • he's nice and solid at RCR I think but I still doubt he will do real well.
  • I think he found a good home with RCR!

    GOOD LUCK PREZ!
  • i wish you luck and hope to see you back soon!

yes i think he has finally found a ride and hopefully will stay there
  • good luck prez!

Yes, I think he will finally settle in.
  • Maybe, time will only tell.

I'm sure Tom will do just fine in college.
  • Well good for my man Tom. College is great.

Casey Mears stinks though. Sorry. He's not good at all. You only get flip flopped if you stink.
  • Until he can prove me wrong, I'll keep saying all Casey needs is to be with a team that knows what he needs and to have that team be with him for more than one season. I think he showed some flashes of brilliance while he was in the #25 after his Coca-Cola 600 win.

Though, I really wish that Childress would of given him a new crew instead of Clint's old crew, I really do think Casey needs a fresh new crew chief/team that will fit to him instead of having a "Chase contending team" given to him. He did good in the #25 with Darian Grubb, who besides those few races he subbed for Knaus with Jimmie Johnson was a new crew chief, then goes to the #5 with Alan Gustafson and stunk the place up.

I think he's a driver who, with the right luck, team, and most of all for him, stability, could be a Chase contender.

EDIT: And good luck Tom, hope everything goes smooth.
  • I hope Casey Mears finds a home there.

Prez good luck, I am glad you will be going to college and you driver is back in their ride.contact coupon lens solution
  • How will Kasey Kahne do this 09 season?

    May be...

  • I have no idea but I would like to see him kick some butt. Kasey is a class act. I'd like to see Dodge make a big time come back in NASCAR even though I'm a Chevy guy. I miss the old days. The big 3 plus Mercury, Plymouth, Pontiac, AMC,
  • Hopefully better in '08. He's my mother in law's favorite driver and we watch 97% of the races at their place. I didn't know he was trying to get out of his current contract and has been talking to Tony.
    That would be sweet..
  • I think he is going to be fantastic...I always hope he has a good season....He is going to make the chase this year!! and maybe a run for the championship!! GO #9!!!
  • he will make the chase but he will not win the sprint cup in 09
  • Hes gonna take it all this year.
  • I think he will have a good year, after the past couple he deserves it. I really like Kasey and I am wishing him the best. He sure does have a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time A LOT and I hope that changes for him this year.
  • Well for a little while there he was going to be under a little pressure to carry that team...and maybe that would have made him drive harder. I am not sure now but I hope he does well I have always liked Kaesy.
  • Better than last year, I hope. He'll finally get back his touch back on intermediate tracks.
  • I don't think that he will make the chase but I attribute it more to his equipment than driving ability. He is rumored to be talking to Tony Stewart and exploring ways to get out of his current contract.
    4's FINE N 09!!!!
  • Probably the same as last year.
  • GREAT A lot better than last year. I HOPE

My Stupid NASCAR / Movie Trivia Question Of The Day.....?

    May be...

  • Tim Richmond I think.

Add: Not stupid at all. Ive been wearing Youtube out watching some great finishes and as always some priceless interviews. Great question Jason!
  • Dick Trickle
  • Just watched a very good NASCAR documentary on Showtime and learned something that I had never heard before. Y'all probably already know this, but I didn't and found it interesting.

What driver did Tom Cruise model his character of Cole Trickle after in the movie Days Of Thunder?

First correct answer gets the 10 points....
  • Tim Richmond, He went to the hendrick shop and talked with Richmonds old crew chief to try and get into the role
  • Jeff Bodine Im pretty sure
  • kyle petty
  • Tim Richmond always wanted to be a movie star. A cocky glamour boy with a flashy style and a supercharged ego, he was a race-car driver straight from Central Casting. Until he died of AIDS in 1989, at 34, Richmond was one of auto racing's brightest stars, NASCAR's resident sex symbol.

*In Days of Thunder, Tom Cruise replays much of Richmond's life story on the screen. Like Cruise's Cole Trickle, Richmond switched from racing Indy-style cars to stock cars and teamed up with one of racing's most respected car builders, Harry Hyde. And like Tricke, Richmond fell in love with a beautiful female doctor. It is also true that Richmond's friends once arranged an X-rated stunt much like the movie's gag involving a woman impersonating a highway patrol officer.

  • Why wont NASCAR add more Road Courses?

    May be...

  • I love road courses, but its the fans. The fans that like road courses are a huge minority in Nascar, I love Road America also but I can't see Nascar add another road course. I watch the Rolex series and ALMS, F1 and the IRL races that are on the road courses to get my road course fix, cause Nascar is not gonna do it, as most of the fans hate road courses, its sad.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • Hard to sell tickets to a race course race. No way you can see the whole track, You see the cars for a few seconds and then wait 2 minutes or more for them to come back around. All the people watching on TV wont put money into NASCAR's pockets like the people at the track
  • NASCAR is, and has always been, about racing for top speed. It's basically drag racing (which is already crappy) for people who want to believe they're watching an organized racing series.

Making the races on road courses would mean that actual car development outside of the engine would be needed (!), and that the racers would actually be tested on their driving skills (!!!).
The motorsports community would benefit from all courses being made into road courses (your average North American wouldn't see racing as just "driving in circles), but your average NASCAR fan wouldn't like it, and the performance (?) of the drivers/teams would suffer for a bit, seeing as they have no training in actually driving a car on/building a car for a challenging course.
As a side note, my father's watched one of these NASCAR road course races, and it's like watching someone try to kill a pig with a butterknife. They really suck at it.
If you want turns, etc., just start watching other motorsports. The SPEED channel sucks, I know, but just keep an eye out for when they have stuff on.
  • Because real NASCAR fans don't want more road courses.
  • cuz their eedeeots!
  • dont know
  • cause that world bring juan beandip montoya's avg. finish from 38.6 to 38.4
  • Because road courses suck.
  • I think this is the reason I do not follow the sport as much as I used too

I think its about time too get rid of all the crappy cookie cutter tracks and put some more Road Courses in
Watkins Glen and Sears Point could be my favorite courses in the US (I live less then an hour away from Sears Point) but they need more
I would like too see at least 2 more
Like Road America or Elk Cart Lake
Or Even Laguna Seca if their track got wider

    Why wont NASCAR do it?
Would you like to see these drivers use their raw skill?
    What do you think?
  • The reason why NASCAR doesn't need more road courses is because it costs too much money for the teams to set up cars for these tracks. The preparation process is a burden on an industry that is striving to stay alive.
  • I don't like road courses . That's the weekends i get all my work done around the house!
  • Because they're too boring.
    No idk.
I think they should move one to the chase though.
  • Cool, though it can't be changes as track schedule has been set thru this year and next, but i think in 2011 things might change.
  • they like the fast open speedways - not braking and turning right
  • I think add 1 to 3 more is better. Too many roadcourses, and Nascar will be like the Australian V8 series. None of that wants that!
  • A) Most don't like them.

    B) Yes, a TRUE test of a drivers skill.

    C) I'd like to see one more added (Mexico or Canada) and one moved to the Chase...but, I won't hold my breath.
  • It's an American sport. And the way it started out was on oval or "round" courses. Change sux, so it will probably be a long time before they add more road courses.

I would love to see a road course in the chase. Elk Lake, Laguna Seca, etc.
  • Nascar ilkes the circle go arouind in circles and thats it. Whatever Nascar says goes. No if and or butts
  • Most likely due to the fact that they are not fan favorites.
Fans pay the bills, so NA$CAR tries to appease them.
I personally would love to see more road courses. I agree, it showcases a side to the driver's talent that a basic cookie-cutter track can't.
  • the open race tracks are a lot easier to drive so the drivers like it better.
  • Bottom line is that road courses will never be really big for Nascar because the attendance is lower at those races and Nascar doesn't make as much money.lax parking cheap
  • First time winners v/s Your driver?

    May be...

  • Na, even though I would like to see a first time winner, I would still cheer for my driver.
  • my driver greg biffle .
  • Jr., of course! I like to see first time winners, don't get me wrong, but my loyalty lies with Jr.! How ya doin' snake?

    *JAKD*
  • First time winners absolutely

If the first time winner takes out my favorite driver to win their first career race, I'll take offense at it.

Example: Brian Vickers took out (unintentionally) Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr to win his first race.
  • Well since my driver hasn't won in a while I would go with him but I do like to see drivers get their first win no matter who they are.
  • I'd cheer for both.

I was going nuts for Talladega last year.
  • I'd like to see Robby Gordon win a road course cup race.
  • Well Elliott ain't won in a while so yeah let him win one.

I would love to see Joey Logano win a race, I've seen the kid race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida... So?
  • My favorite, every time. But I like to see first time winners, too.
  • My driver. Im stingy.
  • My driver because he (Reed Sorenson) would be a first time winner.
  • Of all my favourites; If its Scott Speed, I'd cheer for Scott, because he would also be a first time winner.

If its Juan Pablo Montoya, I'd cheer for Montoya because he hasn't won in more than a season and a half.

If its Kyle Busch, I'd cheer for the frirst time winner (as long as it wasn't Gilliland). But I also love all the boos that pour from the grandstand after Kyle wins.
  • I'm a sappy sucker for first time winners. But not so sappy that I want him to beat Kyle.
  • As nice as it is to see a rookie get their first win, I'm still more concerned with JR winning! He deserves to win but it never seems to happen!!

    Take care Snake!

    Carmen aka Crocodile Dundee!
  • Seeing as my favorite driver has never won a cup race...I am going with Reed to win :)
  • I guess first time winner, although anytime after that it's go 88 go!!
  • Its gonna be my fav, now the first timer can finish 2nd. But now if Dale Jr wins 8 races or more, then okay maybe. But I always want my fav to win.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • A first time winner! I would really like to see David Ragan win one Real soon!
  • Always Tony Stewart, but it wouldn't hurt as bad if someone else like a first time winner beat him, instead of Jimmie Johnson, I can't stand that no personality guy.
  • If a race comes down to your favorite driver and possible first time winner. Who would you rather see win?
  • It depends on the situation. The driver who wins the race for the first time in his long career(Dave Blaney) and that race means meaningless points, sure.
  • favorite driver and no question about it (go dale jr!)
  • Nope...Kyles got to win it. Everyone is an almost first time winner until they actually are a first time winner.amadeus reservation number
  • Tony Stewart Gone Madd?

    May be...

  • He's always had bills to pay.

Now it's payback time for those years in that toyota.

    Can you say Zoom Zoom?
  • Smoke will be Smoke
  • Nope, he has gone smart. He will not be able to drive for ever, so having an interest/owning part of a race team is a good investment for his future. But he is kind of crazy anyway. He will have fun.
  • tony suck. and yes
  • I'm willing to bet we see the old Tony back now, giving em' he!!
  • Tony Stewart Rules (crazy or not).
  • Maybe mad but not crazy. He picked a bad time to form his own team, but I think hes got enough smarts to pull it off.

    GO SMOKE !!!
  • nope, tony can borrow money from jr if things get tight. thats if kesolowski lets him
  • Anyone get the feeling Smoke is gonna get ''really crazy'', now that he is gonna have bills to pay??
    lmao
  • I seen a interview of him today on ESPN and he was as cool as the other side of your pillow. Tony is going to be a great owner and he will keep racking up the wins and championships. He has been a very sucessful car owner in the WoO.
  • Why would he . He's been CRAZY a long time! GO SMOKE GO!!
  • Smoke will always be Smoke, I hope he never changes, but he is back with Chevy, I'm not worried about him one bit. Smoke is a very smart guy, don't let all his crazy ways fool you. He has always had bills to pay, he owns a race track, and he has other race cars and drivers as well. Smoke is not going Mad. I think he will have a great yr and he'll be back in Victory Lane in a Chevy this yr.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
  • Im a Tony Stewart fan but you know NASCAR was kind of worried to have Smoke as an owner. I hope he keeps giving them hell. Can you see this at a NASCAR track when NASCAR makes him mad?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dgNf6eTf...
  • Nah, Smoke's all mellowed out now. He's back in his comfort zone with his beautiful bowties.
Betcha he hasn't seen any bills in years. "He has people". LOL
  • Yeah Snake he will. I hope he doesn't change. Newman was in town and he mentioned a brand new Falcon Leer Jet Tony just bought. It's supposed to be the best thing going but he did get a ton of dough from sponsors when he bought in to CNC.

Hey no fair. Where'd my question go from last night? I didn't even read the answers yet. Was it controversial?
  • Hey, hey now. It ain't gonna be crazy I think he can handle it...

    I think.
  • You bet and I hope that he does....though I see him struggling at first but in the last half...LOOK OUT!!!!!isilo files
