Hes a punk. But, talent he does have. Unfortunately for him his attitude is the only thing that holds him back. Without it, he could become legend. I think he is the biggest moron out there. He looks like Howdy Doody with those ears sticking out in the wind. And those sunglasses. What is the deal with them? Is he trying to hide his ugliness? So he can drive. So can my grandma! He is just a flash in the pan. Probably cheating anyway. Nascar will bust him. I guess what I am trying to say is I can't stand the dude. Probably the best driver today in NASCAR...how about ole' junior.,really gave Kyle a driving lesson today (not) .. poor Hendricks... its not a poularity contest when it comes to winning races or championships for that matter. I wouldn't want a driver that didn't get mad when he didn't win, or when one of his crew memebers screws up.. you aren't going to get anywhere being a nice guy..In my opinion, he has the brightest future of anybody in the sport. Leave the best team and manufacturer,with the best equipment, to a brand new manufacturer, and still win..THATS PURE TALENT!!! And if you can't see that you must be blind.. Kyle BUSCH is an extraordinarily talented driver-maybe THE most talented driver in Nascar. However, as others have already stated, his attitude can sometimes be questionable. He needs to find the balance between being agressive and being reckless. There is a happy medium, which I hope Kyle one day finds. hes awsome. he is a good driver, he really has matured a lot lately and he's winning races. what more can a driver do? I know the kid has an attitude problrem, but when it comes to talent, the sky is the limit when it comes to this guys.. He can Flat out drive a stock car, or a truck. What are your thoughts I think that once he gets over his raging case of cranial rectinosis, he'll be a really good driver. Hopefully he won't take anybody about or really hurt someone before then. Good driver. I am glad he won today. here is my thoughts on Kyle Busch not a fan of his for one he does have a attitude problem and the second reason i think he is all that which to me he is not. I think his attitude and his fearless driving will get the best of him. two weeks ago in virginia he was just stupid and barely got back out for the end of the race. he needs to do some growing up if he wants to be a big deal. I've liked him since his rookie season, I'm sooo happy with how well he's doing this year at JGR!!
as far as attitude, I like the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve, if he's happy, his fans know it, if he's pissed off, we know that, too, I'd rather it that way as opposed to him trying to be the politically correct puppet he was trying to be at Hendrick.. Probably one of the most talented drivers in the series, but like u say attitude is a problem, so he fits in real well with his team, but if he and tony hit eachother whos fault would it be?? He has my respect as a driver and I believe his attitude is misconstrued a bit because of his passion for the sport. It makes him look arrogant and careless on the track. Like DW says he needs to find a happy medium in his racing. What I mean by that is if he could take a page out of Jeff Gordon's book and become a passively aggressive driver he'll turn alot of DNFs into wins or top 5s/10s. But remember Gordon came into Nascar in 1992 and his first 2 years were DNF packed. And once he got passed all that he didn't look back. Boy's on a MISSION !!! He's on one of those rails that...everyone thought was no longer in use !!
If he can find a ''BODYGUARD'' and keep nascar from taking half his brain out... like they did ''BIG BROTHERS''?? He'll rank amongst the best, at the end of his racing career ! I respect his driving abilities, but I can't stand him as a person. Maybe when he stops acting (and driving) as a fool a good portion of the time, I will like him. His brother has calmed down and I went from extreme dislike to almost actually liking him. So, there is hope for him, too, LOL. Yes he cant drive a Stock Car with Pure Talent and keep it on the edge--But Like you stated his ********* and Arrogant Attitude overshadows this Talent!!!!! i dont like him CAn't stand the guy and think he is wreckless. One of these days he will learn. Hopefully not the hard way.

in traffic means being around other cars It's pretty much like traffic on the interstate, except it's going a little faster. It's all in the aerodynamics. This car in combination with the not-so-good tires make for a much different experience in the driver's seat. Everybody has to develop new skills in order to be competitive. I think that's why we see some typically great drivers like Jeff Gordon not thriving this year. It is making some great racing, in my opinion. If you haven`t figured it out yet you never will. the reason the car of tomorrow is "bad in traffic" is because of the way the body of the car is now made. the downforce from the front and rear bumpers causes slower speeds and makes the cars run naturally closer together. when they are all bunched, the air intake into the car is very limited because of the wind being cut into by cars in front of them. this can cause cars to overheat and not run as well as the car would if they were all alone or only had one or two cars around them. nascar cars always have run bad in traffic just because you have really no wiggle room so you have to be pin point with where you go on the track, and that always causes the car to under-perform.
hope that helps are you asking why the cars are so close at one point or another? if so during a caution and at the begining of the race the cars ahve to line up and go a certain speed so when they start again everyone goes at once...it breaks up but it take a few secs. hope i helped Most usually they are referring to slower--Lapped Cars as the Leader is coming through the Field putting them another lap down!!!!!!!! If you are not leading, you are driving in traffic. Even leaders get caught in traffic when they begin to lap cars. The only way not to be in traffic is to have a nice, clear track ahead of you. Imagine going 100+ miles per hour with just a few inches clearance between you, the driver ahead, the driver behind, and the 2 drivers on either side of you. One little mistake or poor reaction time and you are in a crash. Traffic in NASCAR is the regular flow of the cars around the track. pretty much like driving on the freeways, interstates, toll roads etc Being bad in traffic means having cars near you, front, rear or to the side disrupts the handling of the car.
This happens because the cars make turbulence in the air as they pass through it and this turbulent air does not give a predictable amount of down force. The down force can be less than expected making the car loose or tight depending on where the traffic is.

I am a huge fan. I have tons of his stuff, even my car is completely decorated. Plate frame, 2 decals, specialized license plate. I only live a few miles from him, so if he ever sees me out and about, he knows I am his fan! He is not my favorite. But he is up there in the top 3 that I like. I am a huge fan. I have been a fan of his seince 04. I have been in Klub Kahne seince December 2004 and will be in it til I die. I have most of his die-cast cars. My bed room is covered in Kasey posters and pics. I also have enough of his closes to wear for 2-3 weeks stright.I also have the bed set and it is on my bed. GO KASEY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like him

I agree. He shows a great deal of maturity on the track, he should show more of the same off it.
Whether you are potentially(?) the best driver in the world or not, there is always potential for an accident, that's why tracks have safety features....roads to a lesser extent.
He keeps to the pit-lane speeds to avoid problems - he should also respect localised speed limits, put in force to lessen accidents.

Because what other city would be cooler to drive your race care around in? Would you rather drive your Cup car in downtown Daytona or New York City? I guess they did it for the Prestige and the Fancy Hotels--Times Square and so forth!!!!! Nascar's award's banquet has been in New York for 27 years. Before that it was in Daytona. Unless its at Daytona Fl has nothing to offer. You want it to be on the biggest stage in the country. NYC is in a class of its own for that. The main reason is that all the major tv networks have studios real close to each other and the big PR companies are also based there. It's much easier to put the Champ on all those tv shows and plaster his face everywhere. Some people might not like it, but I enjoy seeing Cup cars in NYC. Also, whatever happens in NYC usually gets worldwide coverage. I doubt Daytona has as much pull over in Europe. Because they already have the Florida market cornered....they want to bring Nascar to new viewers in places such as New York....and for some reason, they think the Banquet will do that. I hear yah. I'd rather go to Disney and play bumper cars with the soccer vans full of screaming brats then spend a week at the Waldorf Astoria in the best city in the world..

why did kenny irwin have to die to in almost the exact same spot? is their some part of the story im missing? 2 Kill switches are and have been if Race Cars for Many Years!!!!!!!!--1 on the Dash and 1 on the wheel. When you are fighting for control of the car you dont have time to use it. They are mainly used after impact to shut the Engine Off to Prevent Fires!!!!!!! Yep, you're missing a big part of the story....that they have multiple kill switches....including one on the wheel drivers will sometimes accidentally hit and kill the motor, lol.

The first early race cars mostly had the driver centered and many had mechanics on the right side. Racing of Modified passenger cars was several years later when the common person could afford a car. They always went counter clockwise even before there were walls. Because we drive on the right side of the road and the driver's seat is on the left in the U.S. Because we are in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere they might run clockwise. What's wrong with counter clockwise?? Ummmmm, Yeah...
They go that way to keep the drivers away from the outside wall. Well... why do clocks go in the opposite direction from NASCAR? they never race counter clockwise in the US, they race clockwise because it puts the driver on the inside on the corner, puts the driver in less danger due to crash 2 reasons.. safety and cost effective.
safety because 4 feet of car between u and the wall is better then 6 inches and cost because to set up cars the opposite way would take more money then they want to spend To keep the Driver away from the outside wall!!!!!

A: A Tupac If COTs have a problem with just one track, then the last cup cars most have had a problem with all the tracks. I think the road courses. It's going to be interesting to see what those heavy cars do when a driver tire hops. I think the biggest challenges came last year. Martinsville or the road courses. Once they did a plate track and a larger speedway, nothing new will pop up. It will progress smoothly. i agree with tall man Pocono and Michigan and Indianapolis will be the track that will show how this car acts Darlington will probably be the toughest track the cot faces.
Gotta get that Darlington stripe!! Im going to have to go along with some others and say Pocono, each turn is different, all three of them. The draft and brakes will be a big test their. Darlington, it was already hard with the old cars Pocono is gonna be a huge problem which is why NASCAR is letting the teams test at Pocono in late May. At Pocono what I believe is gonna happen is that one driver will hit the setup perfectly that he is gonna drive away from the rest of the field kind of like Kurt Busch did in August last year. Indianapolis will also be a tough challenge though not as much as Pocono What track do you think will be the biggest problem for the COT and why?
I say Indianapolis because of the high speed into a tight turn with a narrow groove. that it is very ugly and big. the old cars were sexy, smaller and had nice curves.

To get back on the Pit Box Robby Is probably Glad to be with any of the Roush Drivers. It is hard to figure out though why he wouldnt go Back to the #17 Team!!!!! That doesn't surprise me but did you notice that they said they were working on contract extension with Biffle,Edwards,and Ragan. I am sure Kenseth isn't going anywhere but it's not looking good for Jamie ! The cat in the hat has his own ideas, & he's right often enough that you have to take him seriously. That's the prerogative of ownership.. don't know if it plays but Jack mentioned earlier that if Robbie was to think this way he would be told no room at the inn, since then he apparently is changing his thinking and will place him where needs be, but personally he is better with Matt, I too think the 26 is about done, its mentioned that negotiations are underway for the 16, 99 and 6, Matt's not up till 2010 so seems like the 26 either is not up or is not returning It's been reported at jayski that Robbie Reiser will go back to doing what he loves most, being a crew chief. This in and of itself does not surprise me all that much but I figured he would go back to the 17 team and his racing buddy from Wisconsin, Matt Kenseth. He said that filling in for Bob Osbourne made him realize how much he missed "being in the trenches" for races. Robbie said he has never had as good of communication with a driver as he does with Carl Edwards. The 99 team had it's best run this last week at Martinsville, arguably Carl's least favorite track. Carl said that with Robbie's guidance he has a good chance to win a championship, despite where they are currently in the points standings. If not for the fuel situation he might have contended for his 3rd win this season. Bob Osbourne is said to be going to the struggling 26 team and Larry Carter will be head of Roush/Fenway's driver development program. Jack seems to change crew chiefs as much as he does his hats. It makes sense either way. If they both know that he's better suited as crew chief, why not? As far as returning to the #17... Just read it on ESPN.com. More to follow. The black # 3 is back. The Cheerios car will be the #33. I think its the #33 The #3 has never been retired. I don't see the big deal in using it again. Plenty of drivers have died, and their numbers are still in use. OK Aprils fool or not the 3 does NOT belong to RCR, it belongs to NASCAR, and they get to say whether or not any number is retired. The question was brought up and shot down in the days after Earnhardt's death because, there simply were not enough numbers for them to retire for any reason.(WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THE 43 or the 21) dude, RC won't ever bring back the #3, it is attached to too much emotion for him. Put the crack pipe down. Okay T-bone its April fools???? right.. Yeah, yeah, I know, April Fools. I dont think he cares in the Least--He is Happy at JGR!!!!! I doubt that he cares with his ego and money that he has now. I think Bush is just fine and dandy with that, he never got along with Rick Hendrick or the any of the other boys there.
Kyle isn't a team player and probably never will be so he doesn't care who he drives for or who his teammates are just as long as they don't get in the way of Kyle's over inflated ego. Kyle is a 20 year old multi-millionaire....I don't think he cares at all. He could care less who is driving his old ride. he has moved on! I doubt if he is losing any sleep over it. He is in a good situation where he ended up... Kyle is much happier at JGR and it shows. He could care less about Jr. at Hendricks. You can tell that he is more comfortable with his new team, he fits in with the other two drivers much better than when he was with Jeff and Jimmie. Kyle Busch doesn't seem to care because he's been fast every time he's driven a race car. He just needs to learn to calm down and not over drive the race car each and every lap like it's the last lap. He sometimes lets his ego dictate how to drive and that is something he'll need to learn to change overtime. Let's wait until the end of the year to see where Junior and Busch finish in the standings and compare the reults of their season respectively I think it should be, how does Jr. feel that Kyle Busch is winning now and he wasn't in the Hendrick car. I think Busch couldn't be happier to get away from that team. To Jim N (the person above me), Jr is now ahead of Kyle in the standings. Let's see if Rowdy can keep it together for a full season before you say that he is shoving anything in Hendrick's face! Nascar 08 is unplayable, compared to other Nascar games. EA rushed the game and it shows. It's frustrating but just go to the toyota test feature, and keep messing with setups until you find a good one that you like.
I had to go through the same thing. once you figure it out it isn't that bad I heard you should get the actuall Steering Wheel and peddles for it. Its suppose to help you handle 10x better. Let off the throttle a little!!!!! gotta learn to lift a little sooner kyle Practice makes perfect. However you can lower your steering responsiveness and linearity via the options screen...if that don't help you should turn traction and steering assists on. i kept spinning out too just keep trying and before qualifying or staring the race practice cuz on the turns you have to actually let go of the throttle and brake hard just like real life now in 07 the game did that for u but in 08 you have to brake to save your car

Go Dale Jr & Hms I liked the race because nobody really dominated the race. somebody would lead for a little while, and then somebody else would lead. there was plenty of beating and banging which is always fun to watch. alot of damaged cars after the race.
My favorite driver (Jeff Gordon) finished 2nd. My favorite driver finished 2nd also. J-Mac is my driver. 9th place. Could have had a top 5. Was running there all day long except for around 100 or so laps. Or well solid finish. Also like JGR so it was nice to see Denny win. Was a good race really. Burton, Tony, Jr and Clint raced their way into the top 10, I can't complain about those results.
Though I got to say Kenseth was in rare form today. I know he had his problems with being spun, but man...he was everywhere on that track otherwise....kinda out of character for him. around and around we go but gordon and eanhardt did not show short tracks are boring Yea it was a Good Rce today.Good Thing the rain held off to after the race,My Man Tony came in 5th today! An incredible race! So happy for Denny! I have so many favorites...Jeff Gordon,Kasey Kahne,.....gee, they are all like family. And PLEASE stop the gay comments about jeff. Come on, we kno you are just jealous.....;) Yes I defiantly enjoyed todays race. My 2 most favorite drivers are Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart. Denny won The race and Tony finished 5th. I am very proud of and very happy for Denny. I know how much he wanted to win this race!!!!!!!
I also like David Ragan and he finished 11th!!!!

GO TONY I thought it was a Great Race--Jeff Burton--3rd!!!!! It was a great race. The action was good. The racing was good. My favorite driver, Dale Jr., led the most laps and ended up in 6th place. It was a great day! Yeah I liked it Carl Edwards Ran out of gas on the last lap and still managed to get a Top 10 Finish Well 9th actually and he ran the best at Martinsville than he ever had! Yep I enjoyed the race! Hey Dm, my driver didn't win today either but I agree with your reasons for liking the race. All these guys are equally unfamiliar with the cars of today and variety has been the spice of this season so far. So many lead changes and lots or beating and banging. Reminiscent of Bristol, sort of. I enjoyed this race very much more than Bristol.
As far as the haters go, they are way too negative to even be classified as anything else but haters. Fans do not preach the negative. I enjoy many different racers and sometimes you root for somebody you normally wouldn't - just because you saw him wronged. That's what the sport is all about, right? Do your best to ignore and maybe they will all go away. my fav driver is Jr. and he came in 6th I enjoyed the race and JR did ok he moved up in points the race had alot of beating and banging with alot of cautions.
My driver came in sixth GO DALE JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great race, my driver finished fifteenth with severe back pain. He stuck it out. (Elliott Sadler fan) I did!!!!! My driver is 48 he got 4th!!!!! I like DENNY too & he won GO DENNY!!!!!! "Smoke". He was the 5th loser today. The race was alright. I loved the race.

AND MY FAVORITE DRIVER WON!!!! Yes, actually it was a very good race. The mist reminded me of teh 2006 Daytona 500.
My favourite driver, Clint Bowyer, finished 10th. the race was okay for me. tony had a top 5 which is.....good. not a win but it wont be long. kasey was doin good until late. he came home 17th which sucks. jamie had an awesome race, thank god hes in the top 35 now! and i felt rlly bad for elliot cuz of his back. lol. but overall the race was pretty good! it didnt seem like regualr old martinsville tho! Yes, Jeff Gordon is a Homosapien.
And he finished 2nd. He should have won though. I did. Way better than Bristol. That one sucked. Jamie McMurray drove like he can in a race. He finished 8th today. yea me too

I hope it doesnt--there is a good chance for 68 for the 88!!!!! Kenny Schrader says it looks as if they will get the whole race in . I have high hopes. no Don't know if it will rain out, but it looks cold there. they fixin to go As fluffy has said, it will rain on someones parade. I think they will get the race in today. I hope not.......I know it will be "31" Or will it be "68" for the "88"? I kind of hope it does since I am working today, and not on monday. If not, Denny will take the checkered today No today will not get rained out I don't think it will get rained out. I checked the hour by hour stats on weather.com and it gets better as the day goes on. And, I am less than 2 hours away and it is cloudy but not rainy here. And, we only have a 30% chance of rain today.
We may see a rain delay, but I think they will get it in today.

not a very good race..........last year we had closer finishes.......hopefully it will get better Wasn't my fav who won but it was a great start to a new season.. Great race Marco you'll be a winner this yr.. I enjoyed everything except Milka Duno.

Since my favorite driver won the race and the pole, I enjoyed the race even more than I usually do.

I agree with the guy above me. ....Danica is looking like a mid packer once again..and if she doesn't start pushing the gas harder, Andretti is going to get tired of her crap. the fans should get half of the ticket price back because half of the field should not have been there. Going a lap down that fast is a shame. A few more of those 6th-8th place finishes like previous seasons and Danica may just be looking for gainful employment. I absolutely loved it. I had been waiting for so long and was watching NASCAR and F1 to feed my IRL hunger and its finally here. Good start to the season.
BTW Milka was actually driving ok. Her car just got loose of the turn and ended up hitting ryan but it wasnt her fault. I think she also bumped into the car in front of her. Ryan was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
All in all great start to the season. Good luck to all the teams, especially AGR. I thought it was fabulous! First, I feel really bad for Tony Kanaan, as it was his race to win. Congratulations to Scott Dixon for the win. But, I'm really proud to see open-wheel racing here in America back together and it was a very exciting race to watch. Looking forward to a great season and a bright future for the IndyCar series! Marco is going to be a force to be reckon with this year thats for sure. I liked the race, it is alot different than Nascar, the closing rate with the cars in the IRL is so much faster.Its going to be a good year! What a night for racing fans! Love the hat!!! I tried to force myself to watch the race, but it was very boring. Time for Danika to switch to Nascar where racing is interesting. It was real good, Im glad they have merged now, it will be good for the IRL.

It is likely this year, as this is his 3rd year. However, last year could have been his contract year and he could have resigned. Rookies usually get 2 or 3 year contracts.
