Gant brought back the good ole days.. with no hood!!! It was great watching it I DVR'D it so the people coming over tomorrow that had to work to day can see it. I just wish Cale could have done better, but it was so cool to watch and just see Junior Johnson again. Hopefully if they do this again, and hopefully David Pearson will be able to drive. But it was great seeing and hearing Ned Jarrett in the TV Booth again with Dale and Jerry Punch..and something else great about this race, No Digger.
Go Dale Jr & Hms Thanks for the heads up. I almost missed it. I liked old LD Ottinger. 70 years old and was giving it a heck of a run. I watched and enjoyed it. I thought it was a breath of fresh air that LD Ottinger, a 70-yr old finished 3rd and was doing a dang good job out there, and all those guys back in a race car was great to see. That was a kool race. I wish they would do it more often. They sure did have fun out there. It figures that "Mr. Excitement" would take out his hero, Jr. Johnson! Congrats to Sterling, my pick to win!

NASCAR got tired of the whining..
So they made them all alike.. Only the grill and paint look differant as far as I can see. Because that's how it is. The bodies are different but only slightly. Light decals, grills, bumpers, body lines etc. They did it to make the competition closer.
The Front clips are slightly different They try to keep it as even as possible so they make them build them pretty close to the same so one make car doesn't have an advantange over the other cars. It still happens anyway but NASCAR tries anyway.property listing in california

A Smoke Fan..... Saw that coming.. It took Mark just fourteen laps in practice (he turned his fast lap on the last one), and he parked it.. The shortest practice of anyone in the field, he turned a 15.34.. Ryan struggled for 38 laps in practice (one of most practice laps) before he was happy with his car..
I was surprised Ryan was willing to put that many laps on the engine..
Both Mark, and Ryan barely managed to equal David Reutimann's practice times, so keep an eye on him on Sunday.. No. and NO!!! This should be a great point's day for the Drive For Five gang. Do you think? NO i forgot it was on ,I'm getting old you know !!
Yep now i did, Thanks ! I just think it's interesting that two drivers in danger of falling out of the top 35 in owners points took the front row. Both Mark Martin and Ryan Newman really need a good day. I just looked. Congrats to Mark martin...two in a row. I would say the HMS team sure looks good with three in the top 10. And I have to say congrats to Ryan Newman too...he just may be a contender in this race. Also, Reed Sorenson qualifying 7 will be worth watching too!!!held liable

If 'Awesome' Bill wasn't able to make the race I'd want the Wood Bros. to hire either Rusty, Ironman, or Texas Terry to drive for that particular race. I would get Mike Skinner, he's been quite the substitute driver lately. He has kicked Todd Bodine from his throne. I would have Dale Earnhardt Jr. that way my driver will look so much better when he gets back! lol

ROFL. Am I getting unbearable yet??? I guess a veteran wouldn't hurt, but I would probably put Brad Keselowski in the #24. He did a decent job in his two races last year when he finished 19th and 23rd with the #25. I think he could pull off a top 15 finish in the #24. Brad was actually on stand-by during the Kansas race for an ill Jeff Gordon last year. I think it would depend on the track.
If its an intermediate track I would want Bill Elliott in the car.
If its a road course or short track I'd take Terry Labonte.
If its a plate track i think I'd go with Dale Jarrett or Ricky Rudd. Jeremy Mayfield for Matt Kenseth, or Terry LaBonte. For Kasey Kahne, A.J. Allemendinger if he didn't make the race. Then Matt Crafton and Justin Allgaier. I'd replace my new favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, with my old, permanent favorite Texas Terry Labonte. Don't think Jeff would mind; he'd probably like the choice, too.

Better to put a driver with experience ina car than a green rookie. If Kevin Harvick had to be pulled from his car I would say try his wife, She's always in a race suit anyway, So she is almost ready. But then again I don't think Richard Childress would go for it. That's a real rule breaker, and I would laugh uncontrollably at that. Either Johnny Benson or Terry Labonte. Godd question... I'd get Mike Skinner to drive the 48 car. He may not be the flashiest guy when he goes up to the cup series but he is as solid as they come and is good for getting the cars dialed in. He is one of the top 5 drivers to not have a full time cup ride for sure. Last year he was used by RBR and MWR to help them get their cars qualified for enough races to get them into the top 35 in owner's points. If it were a restrictor plate race I would get Mike Wallace.

Hey Ice, you've been watching too much Rachel Ray. LOL Brunch and that's fried eggs (over light), sliced potatoes seasoned and cooked on a cast iron griddle, good old ham salted to the taste of a country cured ham, and toast and jelly. Take the eggs and poke the yolk with the fork and slide the potatoes over in the yolk and move it around. Then take a bite of ham while it's HOT and let the juices flow before taking toast and soaking up some more egg yolk. Every once in a while throw a little jelly (or jam) on the toast to change up the flavor.
My I suggest a particular jam? Mix half strawberry preserves with half fig preserves. It's like candy.

Maggie, I'm not feeling very well today, so I'm not going to eat. =( I'll be having some leftover Chicken Alfredo on penne pasta that I made last night. burritos ans some other mexican stuff... Of the two, i would back Levi Hamilton. He needs something to motivate him. He didn't seem as up for it last year compared to '07. Massa deserved to be where he was in the championship last year. If his motivation is right and he's in the zone he'll blow Massa away. I think he is one of the few who can benefit from the ridiculous new most wins rule. So I think he'll win it back. It is a very tough job to win at Bristol. The fact that he won there 5 times speaks volumes about his skills there. It's hard to pass too. He will win soon, Talladega is coming soon! why hasn't he won there in 7 years there is alot of of great drivers that still haven't won at bristol it is a hard but fun race track. He still has the fourth best finishing

Way ahead of either of the Busch brothers.. Winning a Nascar race, especially at Bristol is not easy, no matter how good you are. It is very easy to get caught up in other peoples mess. Right idea, Matt.
In the days without refuelling, the cars' weight would change drastically during the race. To avoid damage to the underbody when the car was heavy with fuel at the start of the race, the teams employed magnesium strips (on the underside of the car between the rear wheels) which would abrade to leave the correct underbody profile once the car was light enough to run in optimum trim.
The sparks are simply from the magnesium strips being rubbed along the ground under acceleration, or when the car went over a bump in the track. Coming out of the back of the car? Methinks they are the bargeboards hitting the ground.
the same happened to the newer cars in Singapore due to the uneven track surface. Yep, they are the magnesium floors of the car hitting the ground. Sparks were a common sight in F1 until 1994 when they introduced the plank that was placed under the car.
I remember seeing Mansell in his Williams Honda at Spa in 1987 sparking like mad! from the magnesium underbelly of the car.. The strips are now made of wood..verzion online

If you want to kill all that is formula 1 try that. F1 is the spectacle it is because great drivers drive great cars. If you made a standard engine the manufacturer teams would abandon the sport and that would cause a huge vacuum.
Although I have wished a billion times that the his holiness "Schumacher" would drive a piece of crap car just to prove that F1 is a lot about the car! I understand he was a great driver but he also had a great car.
As far as Massa is concerned I understand I won't win best answer with this but I don't see it. Massa was always 2nd fiddle by a mile to Schumacher and he doesn't seem to be a clear number one at the team. The only driver I can saw definitively that has the same equipment as Massa is Kimi, And Massa and Kimi are relatively equal. So to assume Massa is the superior driver is absurd in my opinion.
Hamilton's story is dramaticly different! He nearly always beaten Kovalinen or even Alanso when he was there. He has shown to be a clear number 1 when compared to the other driver with the same equipment.
I just feel trying to compare one driver to another is nearly impossible if they are not teammates. There is a noticable difference in the level of each team. I don't think anyone can assume if the Williams and Ferrari drivers switched teams that suddenly Williams would be a front runner and Ferrari would be a mid pack team. Good ideas are always welcome, but frankly, I think most of us are a bit tired of new rules. i think it would be a greater examination of each drivers skill to see how he performed in both top and bottom quality cars.
i think its very boring seeing a race where you know 14 out of 18 drivers dont have a hope...not because of a lack of skill..but simply because theyr driving a comparatively crummy car.
also what about staggering the start, so each car sets off three seconds after the previous one [-with the difference re-balanced at the first compulsory pit stop or stop-go style stationary stop-]...with the slowest qualifier going first and the fastest qualifier setting off last! - so that instead of the fastest cars immediately zooming off into the distance and the field stringing out....the slower cars --though starting earlier-- are immediately being challenged and overtaken by the faster cars behind them ---thereby making the faster cars have to work through the field before they get to lead the race.
what other ideas do you have to get all the cars "active and inolved" instead of three quarters of the cars being merely ornaments in the race? Easiest way, (but it'll never happen) one standard engine, the rest of the rules stay the same. Answer To Additional Details:

Ofcourse they are, who else in the right mind would make a drastic change like that 10 before the season unless sex or money is behind it No... These new points rules as much as I don't like them, are not in favour of any team at all... How can they be? Every team is in the same boat and will be doing their best to win.
It doesn't even look like Ferrari are away in front as the fastest... Brawn have been much quicker, BMW, Toyota and Williams seem to be on their pace, and McLaren and Renault aren't much further behind... So if anything these new rules will benefit Brawn, who can try and win as many races at the start of the year before the other teams catch up with them. If I ran McLaren I would concentrate my budget,
on my ten best races, and sit out the rest..
That way my budget per race would exceed Ferrari's,
giving them a shot at the most wins..
The reason for a points system, is to prevent that, and ensure
a full field, every race.. Especially the heavy hitters..
I think the rule gives the low budget teams a shot that way..

The new rules have their both up and down points.
They could end the season much earlier, but they will give the lower teams a chance at the title.
We will only find out if they are any good by the end of the season.

One year to moan about it, another year to make the subsequent changes.
If this change is a response to the "you can finish 5th to win the championship" debate then surely it's time to revert back to the 9/10 pts for first, 6 for 2nd and 4 for 3rd, rather than the current format. A; if the 2009 championship is close points-wise and the suspense in the final race is ruined by having one driver already uncatchable despite having less points than one or more others...lack of TV revenue is the quickest way to kill off this stupid idea.
B; if one team becomes too dominant Г la Ferrari 2000-2004...this rule would make years like 2003 even more boring than they were at the time...didn't think that would be possible, but there you go.
C; solely in Bernie's dreams. Don't want to go too far into that though.
To actually choose, I hope A but I fear B. C is unthinkable. I'm actually hoping that they would reconsider during sometime in the beginning of this season, but if not, I'm going for A. I don't think this will go on for no more than a year, but if it does, kiss this sport goodbye! B. Just as the last Tv set gets turned over to watch dancing with the fu*king stars instead.

I hope that some of the drivers and even race teams make some noise about this A once the championship is all but decided with 5 races left they'll have no choice but to change it With all of the new rules for the upcoming season it seemed that most fans were excited about the prospect of having another close championship, but now the "winner takes all" rule comes in with immediate effect. I would say it is still alive and kicking!!! yes It always is It is, but I hope it won't be next year because that slogan has been around since 2002. I have been waiting a long time for Jeff to finally get that fifth championship and I hope he gets it this year. He was so close in 2004 and 2007. And he handled his struggles last year like a class act and worked hard to get back in this position. If he keeps it up, maybe he will hold the Sprint Cup at Homestead. Then maybe they will have a new slogan like the "Search for Six" or something like that. THE DRIVE FOR 5 IS STILL ALIVE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT IT WON'T BE NEXT YEAR BECAUSE IT WILL BE HIS DRIVE FOR 6!!!!!! Its definitely alive, he is doing the best at HMS so far this yr, and he is leading in the points right now, so yes the drive for 5 is very much alive so far this yr, if he keeps it up he could very well get the 5th championship (sorry Jimmie) this yr.

It will be 1 NASCAR driver (probably Kyle Busch) and one young, up and coming open wheel driver like Graham Rahal. I don't know, but you can't be calling it USF1 anymore!
Bernie has 'requested' that the name be changed, as he doesn't want to share the term 'F1' with any other team.

So from now on it's USGPE (United States Grand Prix Engineering) They aren't allowed to be called USF1, its now USGPE, United States Grand Prix Engineering.
They are hoping to employ 2 US drivers which personally I think is a bad idea, Danica Patrick I think would struggle heavily in F1, not because She's a Woman but because nearly all Indy drivers fail to make the transition to a noteworthy extent, Jacques Vileneuve and JP Montoya aside. Saying that Id defiantly give Marco Andretti at least a test drive his youth, speed and Andrettis have had success in the past.
Possibly Id try another Indy driver or 2 in testing but the other potential good suggestions Id say aren't American. Id go down the experienced F1 driver route for the other drive someone with circuit knowledge and set up experience, Rubens Barrichello or someone similar whist a 2nd US driver is brought up to the required level.sex software

I need some kind of Angels to help me pay my taxes. My truck could use some serious help. I need a visit in the baddest way. i would take anything and everything they would have to offer. I never though being a single mom was going to be this hard and i have such an admiration for these women now. And someone who went to community college and dropped out. People who stereotype are idiots. I was born and raised in Cali, not in the south. I do not drink,smoke or do drugs. So,NASCAR fans can be anybody. Only idiot retards like the people above me seem to think that. Personally, i don't think golf is a sport....But you don't see me going to their bored and saying they are all rich, stuck up snobs in goofy pants. Get a life jerk offs! There is only ONE thing typical of all NASCAR fans, and that is our love for our sport. We are White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Middle-Eastern, etc. We are rich and we are poor. Some are white-collar business men and women while others, like myself, are heavily pierced and tatooed. From the California banker to the Texas farmer we all vary greatly.

Married female 34, have great kids, college Bachelor's Degree, work 9-5 Monday-Friday as the Director of Recruiting for an HR consulting firm in a very professional setting, owns a home, SUV, loves country music and lives in NC. We camp at races and meet great people, some of which are STILL our friends that we keep in touch with all around the country and Canada. How can I say this without offending someone?
A typical NASCAR fan would be a hard-working small-town person who enjoys a little fun. They typically are churchgoers and are very patriotic. Most of the men would have short hair while the women have an equal amount of fans with both short and long hair. They are big on alcohol, but they always drink responsibly. Put em at a race, and they go nuts! It doesn't take alot at the race to get them to enjoy themselves. Nascar is International the sport is so popular and keeps getting better there is snothing like going to a race its awsome how they always have a full house but being there when they start their engiines right at the start finish line you never know what will happen but kyle bush makes the race exciting you get hooked on it. Go to the Walmart fat dept and mulitply that by 10000 and you have a NASCAR fan, add in a mullet and some generic beer and a trailer hitch to the truck and you are 90% there. You know what they are like, looks. likes dislikes etc. I was wondering if the stereotypes had any truth to them? I take your question as to mean NASCAR as opposed to other forms of motor racing. The competition in NASCAR is incredible. There are lots of winners and the race can change many times at one event. The age range of the drivers is wide suggesting experience and intelligence counts. The cars are reasonably similar so it is more a test of the driver than in series in which one kind of car will be on top for a given time period. There are many cars in all events. There are lots of events. The drivers are down-to-earth. They even help each other. A NASCAR fan likes these factors. What a great sport! "Stereotypes are devices for saving a biased person the trouble of learning." Someone who knows how drivers go to the bathroom and does not have to ask. In addition, nascar fans do not impersonate each other, nor have to ask can you describe a nascar fan too me.

There are a lot of NASCAR fans right around me. My favorite NASCAR fan here in this building, I talk to on the phone almost everyday and works in an office 14 floors above me is a middle aged black woman who has a terrible crush on Juan Pablo Montoya.

No track treats its fans better, and there is just no track I have been to (I have been to Indy, ORP, Darlington, Daytona, Talladega, Atlanta, Gateway, Chicagoland, Michigan, and Kansas), that even comes close to Bristol. Darlington and Martinsville

I personally like Richmond,Daytona and Darlington.Plus all the other ones that Junior is good at(which would be most). I have two.....they are Dover and New Hampshire I would have to say either daytona or bristol great racing dont have a fav track to say............but i do like short tracks and high banked mile and 1/2's Atlanta and Richmond talladega cuz dale jr is wunderful ther I love Dover. It's a Bristol on HGH. I love it that the drivers actually drive down into the corners and up out of them. It's a great race to watch. I like Talladagga because of the high speed and also Miami, good track and great weather TALLADEGA!!!!!
Then Daytona, Charlotte, and Bristol. Talladega, Daytona, Indianapolis, Bristol and Sonoma My favorite track to watch a race on is Bristol, which is coming up next week. Just something about the short track racing that makes it so much more interesting to me. Talladaga,Richmond, and Martinsville Darlington, Richmond, Texas.
Good racing at all three. Texas is easiest to get in and out of. There all my FAVORITE !!! I like Martinsville, obviously because Jeff Gordon always does well there. It is always exciting to see your favorite driver come from twenty laps behind to win. I believe that Martinsville is also one of the oldest tracks, and there is a lot of history there. Short tracks like this are always exciting. Bristol! I can't wait for next weekend! Darlington will always be my favorite, love seeing the drivers get those Darlington Stripes. My other favorite track is The Rock, dang I miss this track. I also like Martinsville as well.
Go Dale Jr & Hms Dover because I saw my first TV race there and my first real race there and it's my hometrack. Plus it's an all-around good track.got it working

Bob n' Carl Well to go against the grain but also answer your question. Jamie McMurray and Donnie Wingo are a great pair whenever they are together they do well. It is hard to argue the chemistry between and results for Jimmie and Chad! Robbie Reiser and Matt Kenseth were in that same league when they were together and the tandem of Smoke and Zippy seemed to exceptionally good when they were together.

These are the top two I think. Chad Knaus and Jimmie Johnson seem to really have their "stuff" together. But it looks like Pat Tryson and Kurt Busch have got something going. Kenseth and Blickensdurfer seem to be improving as well. Maybe we will see some real challenges for Chad and Jimmie this year.

Get in to the top 5 in the standings. 19: I'd change from a Dodge to a Ford. I have also heard distressing rumors that he whines on his scanner too much about the car. If that's true, I would shut up, listen to my crew chief, and drive. If I was Junior, I would just focus myself on racing the car and the hell with the rest. I'd go for the blonde (which in my case I am). He likes brunettes :( Doesn't he know that blondes have more fun?? Be 30 years younger what i would do ! If I was Dale Jr. I would be more aggressive. Nothing... Scott Speed has the ********* and fashion I like.
And Brian Vickers is a great guy with a Great Personality. No CHanges needed. If i was a dale Jr. fan, I would quit at hendrick and ask Childress for a job. I'm a Kahne fan, and I would tell whoever leads RPM that they need to get their butt in gear and give him a good car. 7th place doesn't cut it. I don't know if there is really anything I would do differently...he's pretty good as he is now. I wouldn't change anything about Mark, except maybe use more of the car during the race and be a contender all race long, instead of just the last few laps when it's almost too late to do anything. I would grow my hair out so I could get a better hair cut!!!
