  • Well while I am packing for the move my husband will probably have his butt planted on the couch and say look sweetie Rolex is on. I will sit for a while and watch it and then he will fall asleep stretched out on the couch and I will go back to packing. So yes I will get to see some of it. I like the DP's better.

  • Probably not. With a free Sunday, I'll try to catch up on housework, grocery shopping. and family stuff. I might tune in and listen while I cruise around the house,
With a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms in VA, I hope I'm not watching the NASCAR race tomorrow.
  • No I don't think I will.
I only tune into the Rolex 24 at Daytona. That's the only Rolex race I watch for the year.kinoma player 3ex

    May be...

  • Sprint.

Green flag is around 7:43, as I don't bother watching all the pre-race junk.

  • The Nextel Cup series no longer exists. It has been known as the Sprint Cup series for over two years now. So the answer to your question is "There is no such thing as the Nextel Cup", so there is no way to answer your question correctly.
  • Thats OK ICE, i still call it that sometimes.Maybe they should quit changing it so much. Its 7 pm for pre-race, so around 8pm
  • the pre-race starts at 7:00 sharp but if you want to know the actual time of the green flag, watch the very beginning of NASCAR Now which is on at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. They always say the exact time the flag drops.
  • catfish thinks you need a sprint cup racing schedule. he has included one for you. keep it handy.

  • DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH BETTER THAN THE BRAZILIAN THAT DISCOVERED THE ONLY RULES OF THE ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION?
How is it possible a BRAZILIAN constitute the only RULE of THE UNIVERSAL ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION?
AS A MATTER OF FACT, FГЃBIO BRAGA DE ALENCAR DISCOVERED AND SYSTEMATIZED ALL THE RULES ALONE
    THEY ARE SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND

THE 1.000 POINTS OF OBSERVATION ARE
SOUNDS OF LETTERS ISOLATED, IN GROUPS AND IN PLACES, ORTHOGRAPHIC PLACES
    EXAMPLES
WORDS ENDED IN Y ARE PROPAROXITONIC, JUST LIKE
    MELODY TECHNOLOGY GEOGRAPHY
BUT CERTAIN GROUPS DON'T OBEY THIS...
    ARY PUT THIS DOWN
    WORDS BECOME PAROXITONIC, JUST LIKE
    SECRETARY LIBRARY
    MONY moweny PATRIMONY ALIMONY HEGEMONY
    ORY is funny
    2 and 4 syllables it sounds owe-ree
    like STORY PROMONTORY GLORY DORMITORY
BUT WITH 3 SYLLABLES vowel O OBEYS THE SOUND OF THE PLACE WHERE ENDED IN CONSONANT+Y words are proparoxitonic, for O is nothing phonematically
    HISTORY heez-te-ree VICTORY veek-te-ree

WORDS ENDED IN AL ARE ALSO PROPAROXITONIC
    JUST LIKE ANIMAL TECHNICAL MUSICAL
BUT GROUP ENTAL CHANGES THE WORD TO PAROXITONIC
    JUST LIKE INSTRUMENTAL CONTINENTAL ELEMENTAL
NOW THINK ABOUT 600 GROUPS DOING THE SAME..
IET loud ight VARIETY SOBRIETY EBRIETY
    UITY oo/you-ee-tee ANNUITY INGENUITY CONTIGUITY
    when J L R S are before U , U souns oo; other consonants sounds you

Diphthongs are pronounced according the place of the second vowel
R EA L group EA in the middle of R and L
    now.... RE ALITY ree-ell-itee
word ended in Y proparoxitonic. Vowel A is the louder of the word
    M Y OPIA M plus I or Y plus another vowel I or Y is a louder igh
vowel O is in a place where there's a consonant separating one vowel from 2 or 3
    A E I O U + CONS 1 + VOW 2,3
A is ay just like STADIUM HERBACEOUS
E is ee loud just like MEDIA PREMIUM SCHIZOPHRENIA
I is ee loud just like LINEA,R VICIOUS EXPEDITION
O is owe loud just like SOCIAL MYOPIA PHOBIA
    Look to this, now
MYOPIC is my-ah-pik BECAUSE this word is ended in IC and it is PAROXITONIC. Vowel O immediately sounds Ah loud in this place, just like ASTRONOMIC BIOLOGIC
    SYSTEM
    A I E I O U + ...............+ IC final
A is eh loud just like MATHEMATIC STATIC
E is eh loud just like SCEPTIC ELETRIC
I or Y are ee normal just like TYPIC STYLISTIC PHYSIC

LOOKTHIS SYSTEM ENDED IN CONSONANT+ OUS
ALL OF THE WORDS ARE PROPAROXITONIC
    EXAMPLES
    ANALOGOUS CARNIVOROUS VOCIFEROUS
DO YOU REMEMBER HOW DO YOU SAY
    JESUS CREDO , ETC,?
THE ORTHOGRAPHIC PLACE, WHERE ONE CONSONANT DIVIDE ONE VOWEL FROM ANOTHER
    JUST LIKE
    A E I O U + CONSONANT 1 + VOWELS 2, 3
A is ay like FAVOR SATAN NATAL
e is ee loud like CREDO JESUS FEVER
i is igh loud like PILOT HILUX MYCO ( LOGY )
o souns long owe like PHOTO ROBOT
u oo or you depends on the consonant before, if it J L R S BEFORE U sounds oo
NOTE: JESUS is jeezes BUT JESUIT is djehjГ»it
    because of the place
    A E I O U + CONSONANT 1 + U + VOWEL
A sounds eh like INFATUATE CASUAL

  • What racetrack did your(current) driver win his/her first race in the Sprint Cup Series?

    May be...

  • Charlotte in 2002 subbing in for Sterling Marlin in the #40

My favorite was Sterling Marlin but I wasn't really paying as much attention to the NASCAR races after he got injured. I was doing something else, decided to check out the end of the race, and I was shocked that McMurray had the #40 car in the lead. I started yelling and cheering for him to win the race and he did. That race made me a McMurray fan.

  • Probation wat does it really mean?

    May be...

  • It means , you better not pout, you better not cry, you better not shout I'm tellin' you why... etc, etc
  • He can still go out there and drive with all the fire he would if he wasn't on probation. He can still drive aggressively during a race...but he just can't drive "over aggressively".

If something was to happen again to where he got mad and spins someone else out after a race is over then NASCAR could park him for a race like they did Kevin Harvick. NASCAR could park him for the whole week in all 3 series if they wanted to.

On top of that a second offense would likely bring a monetary fine and sitting out the races would serve as a points fine in itself.
  • ok so jr and that other guy cant even remeber his name right now is on probation wat does that mean every now and then u hear about a driver being on probation but i never knew wat it ment can some one tell me thanks
  • It means, we like what you guys did. It's great for ratings. Keep it up but we have to appear as if we're taking a stand against it. So here's probation. And it gets Nascar in the mainstream sports loop for a quick minute on Tuesday. Otherwise it means nothing.
  • Probation doesn't mean squat, all they have to do it behave in the eyes of nascar and they can still have fun on the track.argyles

If someguy in nascar wrecked your favorite guy and he was...?

    May be...

  • someone like Matt Kenseth(kinda Famous but kinds not(driver of 17 car)) so he gave you his autograph to make it up, would you see sell on ebay? cherish it? or shoot it(or him)? If you would do something else tell me. best answer 10 points
  • It depends on the driver. If it was Kenseth though, his autograph would land on my dart board.
  • the guy just got flipped his car so he probably was see Double vision still.

still Matt Kenseth fan allways will be
  • If some one like that wrecked my favorite "car", maybe? I wouldn't settle for just an autograph. I'd have him foot the repair bill, just like any other person who wrecked my car. I'd consider the autograph a bonus, but he'd still pay to fix the car.

If he wrecked my favorite driver during a race, though, I'd be upset, but then I'd just let it go and move on to the next race.
  • I'd keep it.
When my driver's taken out, it sucks...but it doesn't change my opinion of the driver who did it.
It's racing. And it's silly to hold a grudge over it.
  • I'd keep it.
  • Depends on who the driver was that caused the wreck, and whether or not the wreck appeared intentional or just a racing deal. Most likely I would keep it. KyBusch, I'd give it to away to another fan.
  • I'd definitely take a Matt Kenseth autograph. He won the championship one year. How many NASCAR drivers have accomplished that?
  • I would cherish it. I love NASCAR and even the guys I don't care for are still part of the sport I love so much. Heck I got to sit in Tony Stewarts car last year and I almost died it was so incredibly thrilling and I don't even like the guy. So his autograph I may hang it up and laugh about how I got it but I would never let it go, even if he wrecked Junior I would still cherish it and have a great story to tell.
  • I'd find some kid who was wearing a Matt Kenseth t-shirt, and give it to him.
  • I would cherish it. It doesn't matter which driver it is; getting personal autographs are sometimes hard to come by. I have met Kenseth before and he has wrecked my favorite driver a few times, but I still have the autograph he gave me. It's an honor to have an autograph from any famous sports athlete, especially one from a champion like Matt.
  • I would keep it. I have kept all the other autographs I have and they arent my favorite driver and have wrecked my favorite driver. Why waste a perfectly good autograph from a driver?
  • i'd keep it. i still have the paperback book that alan kulwicki signed for me when i was a mere ten years old. he was wearing his hooters jacket at the atlanta airport when i chased him down. it's still weird for me to look back and realize he passed away one week later.

anyhow, what 'favorite' driver has not caused an accident sometime in their driving career?
  • I would cut him
  • I'd blow my nose on it then burn it right in front of him. But then, I am not the kind of person to seek autographs. Now if they want to give me an autograph on a check made out to me, then I may reconsider. I do have Rusty Wallace's autograph. He was at an opening we were at years ago and my husband got it for me.southern logo
  • Why does Danika Patrick want to join Nascar?

    May be...

  • Sponsorship $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  • Because it's way, way more popular in the United States. She could make a ton more money and it would rattle the sport. Nascar is even more male dominated than INDY or F1.
  • For the exposure. NASCAR is more widely viewed in the U.S. than Indy Cars, especially now that there is a special channel for it. She would also get more in sponsorships, because, hey, what red-blooded, good ole American male wouldn't watch a commercial featuring a very attractive female? Her Go-Daddy spots already glue my eyes to the TV (wink).
  • She Doesn't.
  • if she joins NASCAR she would lose a fan. me.

    She belongs in Indycar!!!
  • she does? I had no clue.
  • It's contract renewal time..
    She wants more money..
    She isn't going anywhere..
  • if she do. I'd look she is cute
  • Because she thinks she can make millions in sponsorships there. She's probably right.

  • I think she'd be crazy to. Hornish and Franchitti are better IRL drivers and look what they've accomplished in their Nascar attempts. If she made the move, it would just be a money grab. I would totally be pulling for her but I don't see her having any success.
  • I heard a rumor that B.France and M.Helton got on their knee's and begged her to join.
    Money talks
  • i don't think she actually does want to go to Nascar. It is just a ploy to get more sponsors and money
  • Thats where the Money is.
More people show up to watch Nascar.
More people turn their TV on to watch Nascar.

Could she hack it, i doubt it.
Former IRL Champ and Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti couldn't do anything in Nascar.
Goes back to IRL and wins the 2nd race of the season.

  • What does standings mean in f1?

    May be...

  • it means the position like the overall champship positions so far
  • Standings is the same as rankings (positions) of the F1 championships. As there are in fact 2 championships (constructors and drivers), there are also 2 standings:

    1) Constructors standings (also called constructors table) which show the position of the teams as far as points earned during the season.

    2) Drivers standings (drivers table) which show the position of each driver as far as points earned at any given time of the season.

There are several websites, such as www.formula1.com which keep constant updates of these standings.
  • F1 mean Farmula 1 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    http://www.games2game.blogspot.com/
  • It refers to the position drivers are in the Championship. For example, the standings could be Hamilton first, with 5000 points and Alonso second with 1 point. Are you sure you don't know???
  • standings is mean by ranking.for example,alonso is 1 standings in f1
  • It's just a different way of saying what position a driver is in in the formula one championship.
  • The points scored by every driver and team are arranged in descending order of points and this is known as standings.halo 2 plot description
  • Why does Anthony Hamilton think he has a right to inveigle himself in the midst of the McLaren F1 team?

    May be...

  • As far as I can see no other father intrudes on the mechanics & technicians space as hamilton does...not even those with historic right ...eg Nelson Piquet...
  • He is Lewis' manager.
I'm not a fan of Hamilton. I don't like him. But for god's sake, just give him a break! So what if his dad's in the garage all the time. What's wrong with it?! He does get misquoted by the media a lot. The kid can drive. He does say silly things now and then. He's young. Leave him
alone and if you hate him, just hate him like I do....keep it to yourself.
He deserves respect for his ability. I respect him for that, even though I don't like him.
  • Good answers from Matrix ... I think the reason some people don't like seeing Lewis' dad around is because when the camera is on him he is almost always talking to an engineer or something, instead of just letting the Mclaren men be. Most of the people you mentioned just sit there and smile at the camera when its on them. The one you see up and about the paddock talking to engineers etc is mostly just Nicolas Todt who is affiliated to SFM through more than just Massa.

I'm not gonna lie, for example at the start of Practice 1 on Friday when the drivers are just sitting around after their installation lap when Lewis comes on screen I'm excited and curious to see what he's doing but when they show his dad I'm like, great now what is he on about over there.
  • I for one am not the type to play the race card. If race is an underlying factor in the "hate the Hamiltons" parade, far be it from me to accuse anyone of that. I could care less.

Now to answer your question i find it curious that every F1 site I go to there is some fool complaining about Anthony Hamilton. Massa's dad is in the paddock every weekend. No complaints. Erja Hakkinen was in the paddock every weekend to support her hubby. No complaints. Connie Montoya was in the paddock every weekend to see her man race. No complaints. Willie Weber (Schumacher bros. manager) was in the paddock almost every weekend. No complaints. Nicolas Todt (Massa's manager) is in the paddock almost every weekend. No complaints.

Now can you tell me the problem with Lewis having his father/manager in the paddock every weekend? Find another argument besides this or the lame tax dodging thing. When every driver in the paddock (Button included) live in tax havens. If you don't like them that's fine. Just say you don't like them and I'll respect your opinion, but these "excuses" are beyond lame.
  • Cat if i answer this I'lll be unjustly accused of being a racist again.

Ah sod it all the kids are in bed at this time of night. It's because Anthony always seen himself as a bit of a wheel man and since he didn't get the opportunity hes living his dreams through his son, someone within F1 once said that the Hamilton's took ambition to a professional level. being a simple fellow I'm not sure what that means, but it could be that they are willing to do anything to succeed, and if their road to success is littered with casualties, so be it.
PS Inveigle is a lovely word, that will have the kiddywinks looking through their "big book of words" lol
Matrix.. I agree you are not one of ones who play the race card, however suggestion of racism has raised it's ugly head a few times on here, simply because people have given an opinion that's not pro Lewis, that's not only ignorant its unfair and quite offensive. Back to Cat's question, by using the phrase "Inveigle himself in the midst of the McLaren team" I think shes having a go at the fact Anthony always seems to be in the garage getting in the way of the mechanics and other vital team personnel. Most of the other drivers family watch the race from hospitality areas and keep their distance from the workings of the team.
  • If a driver had had his dad hanging around the pits a decade or more ago then you would think there was something wrong with him, certainly that it was a sign of weakness. Just look at David Coulthard's dad, he got him started in karting but as soon as he was no longer able to make a practical contribution he got out of the way. You have to wonder if drivers like Massa and Hamilton are still going to have their family traipsing about with them when they are in their mid-30s, and what that says about the people in question.
  • .

At the risk of upsetting the kiddywinks, I'll inveigle myself in the midst of these answerers with ne'er a quizical eyebrow raised..

Anthony Hamilton is a supportive father and manager. He therefore has every "right" to stand in the garage taking up one square foot of space amongst mechanics. Those mechanics are not bumbling idiots and seem quite capable of avoiding him.

I understand why you wouldn't mention the cameramen being in the way as "historically" they were there before even Piquet, but you strangely never mentioned the instance when Button senior waved at the camera and in doing so cast a shadow on the floor that looked remarkably similar to a pit bull terrier....it almost caused chaos, but they laugh about it now!

I hope I didn't offend any animal lovers by mentioning canines....

Please read Matrix's answer three or four times.

EDIT: Rosbif Strong family bonds aside; LH's father is also his manager and making sure the dunza in winging it to the bank. :)

    .
  • I think if someone is in the garage during a race then they are asked to be there and are serving some useful purpose, whatever that is.

As for the hangers-on tag - I think there are a few others who should be dealt with a long time before the family - Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, JK, Richard Branson (oh sorry; he paid) ...mail wap

If kyle busch was not a driver in the sprint series?

    May be...

  • he is nothing special there are better drivers then him. if kyle was not in the sprint cup series he would be re-making pee wee hermen movies

but next on my list would be Joey Lagono his dad bought him a ride in the bush and sprint cup series it just shows you what money can do.
  • There really isn't anybody I dislike as much as Kyle. If I had to pick somebody else to dislike, it would probably be his brother Kurt. Sometimes fans take their hatred for a driver to the extreme (throwing beer cans on the track), but a little passion for or against a driver adds to the excitement and competition of racing.
  • Disliking someone is not something that most normal people enjoy just for the purpose of having fun. Disliking someone is usually a direct result of someone's actions so to answer your question that would be dependant on who put themselvees in that position.
  • who would you then dislike/bash/kick around/swear at, the most? p.s. i'm not a busch distractor. his personality is pretty annoying at times but i'd sure put him behind the wheel of a car if i was an owner. can anyone deny the man can't drive?
  • Juan Puablo montoya

reason: 2005 dover race he spun jeff gordon
  • Kyle Busch pisses people off and rubs people the wrong way. Butttt, hes also great for the sport because he is entertaining, but not in an offensive way

    GO 18
  • Actually he "can" drive.
And why would I want to hate on anybody?
    I'm not afraid
  • Denny Hamlin

    P.S. I still bash/ kick around/ swear/ stick my birdie up/ boo Denny Hamlin.

I hate Hamlin. He is one of the Most Arrogant S.O.B's in the garage area. I really dislike him with a Passion. Rowdy is 10x's Better than the ***hole behind the #11 Fed Ex car.

He's a douchebag. I know he can drive but he's impersonating Dale Sr.'s driving style and pisses everyone off. I think he's more trouble then he's worth.
  • not into car racing, but I used to get hyped like this over Aussie Rules Football,so all youcar racing fans 'GO FOR IT',it,s fun, hey?????

  • What driver has been the most successful to drive the #18 car?

    May be...

  • JJ Yeley was OK but Kyle Busch has been far more successful. Doesn't make him a nicer guy, but he's been more successful.
  • Unless this is a trick question then I would say Kyle Busch. Just a guess.
  • Well since you took out labonte I have to say busch. Only two guys have driven it since then i think and that is jj yeley which can't find a ride and busch. The thing with yeley was he had talent but it seemed he was always getting caught up in an accident. When he didn't wreck he finished near 15th.
  • It would have to be Kyle,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,gag gag...........

    :-)
  • for Joe Gibbs racing since Bobby Labonte moved on.
  • I think Kyle Busch has been the most successful to drive the #18 since Bobby has moved on.
  • HAHAHA Ice and Lenny said Kyle is successful. Quit gagging Lenny it wasn't that bad. Oh and yes I do believe that Kyle is the most successful driver of the #18 car.
  • JJ did a real good job with the #18 but I would have to say Kyle is a little better !

  • Should NASCAR make a no-blocking rule?

    May be...

  • The rule should be no blocking on the LAST lap and allow driver's to go beneath the double yellow line's also on the LAST lap. Nascar has the technology to spot any violator. That's called racing. Just my opinion.
  • I think the no passing under the yellow line is what caused the problem at "Dega". They need to go back to "old school" racing. The C.O.T. car needs to be sent packing.
  • The problem with a no blocking rule is that it can be so subjective. All a driver has to do is claim he/she was trying to move into a part of the track that was better suited for their car.

Too many people are focusing on what happened at Dega without taking into consideration the many safety features that helped to make Carl's wreck something that didn't cause a fatality. Thank God for that!
  • I don't like a no blocking rule. A driver should has earned track position and deserves the opportunity to defend it. And a rule making passing easier does nothing for the overall quality of the racing. And it would be too subjective. Nascar has too many ball-strike calls to make as it is.
  • No, if they impose too many rules it won't be racing anymore. What would be next? How about no blocking or passing and start the race in single file according to how they qualify, no driving over 55 mph and all pit together with pit road speed limit set at 10 mph, all of the pits in order of qualifying and a 1-2 minute timeout when they pit? That sounds nice and safe.

I think if you look at the percentage of people that get hurt at a race vs. how many people attend each year, you will find that more people get hurt driving to and from the track. Would you propose that people not be allowed to drive to the races because it's too dangerous.
  • There was suppose to be a no blocking rule already in effect for a couple of years now but NASCAR hasn't enforced it. That's part of the reason for people saying NASCAR is inconsistent about their rulings. NASCAR tells these drivers things in the drivers meetings and then I guess they forget what they tell the drivers. That's why you hear people say that the rules are written in pencil so NASCAR can add and erase the rules as they go.

In wake of Carl's accident at Talladega NASCAR is acting like they never have told the drivers about the no blocking policy but I guess just to satisfy the media they are acting like thet are concerned about what happened. I am pretty positive they will buckle down on blocking but it will not be monetary or points fines from reports on NASCAR.com.
  • no, that would be like telling a football player he can't block. let the guys race.
  • To answer your question, it wouldn't help.. A blocking rule can only go so far.. First you need to define blocking, just to establish what the rule covers, and what it doesn't.. Even race series with blocking rules have to allow some leeway to race.. They normally allow the car in front to "change lines" once, or even twice before it becomes "blocking".. This would almost certainly not have applied to what Carl did on Sunday.. I think he only moved twice.. But even if he moved more than twice, those rules are usually suspended on the last lap..
I understand your confusion though.. I will try to explain..
You are thinking that a faster car, is a faster car, and that just ain't so, in plate racing.. Racing is not power, it's momentum.. The reason one car would block another, is to break his momentum.. On a plate track the drivers need to use "tricks" to get the car to go faster than the engine can push it.. The draft, or driving down hill are two of those tricks.. Or all the cars would go the same speed.. When a driver has momentum on another car, he can pass that car.. If something breaks that momentum, the oportunity is gone forever.. Or at least until the driver can build momentum again.. It isn't like the driver can just put his foot to the floor, and go.. His foot is already on the floor..
  • No. There are too many subjective rules already. Let the racers race.
  • if we have a no blocking rule that's pointless to even race there think about what you said if Jr leading wit 2 laps to go an some one gets a run he has to lose the race cause he cant block come on man think with your head
  • no there shouldn't be a no blocking rule taladega was a miss fortune but if u just have to pull over and let somebody pass then thats not racing its more then just fast cars skills and stragedy is involved i think should be more safety involve to protect fans but nascars fans know what to expect.plus that was just taladega racing.
  • If a driver is successfully overtaking a car and attempts a pass then should the driver being over taken be allowed to block that pass? If the car being over taken doesn't have the power to outrun the vehicle attempting the pass is it right for him to block instead of race for the win? If you say "it's just racing" then the accident at "Dega" was just racing and it sucks to be a fan in the stands?
  • I do not think it would matter if they did or not and the rule would be so wide open to interpretation that the problems would be endless. I do not look for that to ever happen. Blocking is part of the sport.
  • The accident at Dega was a factor of the plate racing Nascar is so in love with combined with the fact the drivers have to block there and Daytona to win.

And yes if you choose to buy a seat that close to the track it does suck to be the fans. Everyone whining about the fans sitting there forgets it was the fans choice to sit there. It's not like nascar wanted the car to fly into the fence.

Best thing to do is get rid of the plates, make them run a lower hp engine at daytona and dega that has throttle response and makes the drivers lift in the corners
  • That's all they need.

Next it will be a "no passing Jr. rule".

Blocking is part of the sport, they should leave it alone.
  • No I don't think there should be a no blocking rule. To many rules and penalties already in this sport. I hate to say it but it is part of racing. No I don't take the attitude it sucks to be a fan at Dega. Everyone know Talladega & Daytona are the most dangerous big wrecking tracks on the circuit, bad things happen, especially when you are at a place and there are fourty-three 3400 lb machines driving 200 mph. there are bound to be troubles.

All I can say is thank God the catch fence did it's job. I am sorry for the folks that got hurt but I also believe that in the 60+ years NASCAR has been running that is only the 2nd time a car hit like that and no deaths have ever been reported, I think it's a pretty good record.how to determine ip address in windows xp

    May be...

Probably to discuss NASCAR safety and that bazzare crash that I have played over and over and over. It was like a scene out of a movie! Hopefully he actually asks Edwards about his success and thrills of being a driver.

  • How many fans will join me at Richmond this weekend?

    May be...

  • Is this a trick question?

Your question does not make sense. If the race has not been run yet, then grammatically he has not "failed" yet.

Besides, Richmond is not his best track.

Oh, and I will not be there, sorry.
  • his best winning track is talladega, moron.

yes, WG, but he called richmond his best WINNING track. junior's won 5 races at 'dega and 3 at richmond, so i stand by my statement, this douche is a moron.

    welcome back lenny
  • Guys, he means that Jr failed to win at Talladega, not at Richmond. He's going to Richmond to "pick up the pieces of Jr.'s career" after he failed to win at Talladega.

And no, I'm not going to the race this weekend. I'd like to, but I just don't have the money for it right now, or a method of transportation to the track.
  • Well way to go, now you've made me hope he wins just to shut your whiney @s$ up.

    Thanks.

Richmond is his best average finish track.

  • I like the way Marks team has been preparing the car for him this year. He has already has had a couple of poles this year and I am sure he will get a few more.

    Watch out for AJ too!!!

Love carls monster truck. didn't they do a commerical with a monster truck racing on the track before?
  • Thats cool,he could just drive over the fence with that ! I will pick Jeff Gordon for the poll.

  • Nascar would disallow their time because of height issues. lol I love that car and the commercial they do with it.

Im going with "Mr 2009 Coors Light pole award winner" Mark Martin for the pole at Richmond.
  • SorryI can't see it. My dammmmmmmmned employer has cut us off from flickr, You Tube and other sites. Grrrrrrrrrrr they all worked last week.
  • He won't have to worry about being blocked! Just run right over them! :-)

Its Virginia, so I'll say Hamlin gets the pole.
  • He says that he will not be put into the fence again!!! (just kidding!!) I took this picture at Daytona in February.
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/7680161@N03...

Seriously though, who do you think wins the pole for this weeks race??
  • sorry no
  • I think jimmie johnson or mark martin.
  • Ryan Newman will get the pole
  • He might not get good down force with that car.

    Jeff Burton
  • lol...I'd like to see him do a backflip off of that bad boy!!!

Pole: Random guess, I'll just say Hamlin, he always qualifies well at Richmond.
  • I think it needs a little more tape on the nose, and another few pounds of air pressure in the right rear before it'll be effective at Daytona.

lol, They should build about 10 cars like that and let the guys go out on a 20 lap shootout, no yellows, no black flags. That'd be interesting!!

Richmond pole? Kahne qualifies well there, but I'll take Rowdy. Busch is due for some better luck and he did take the pole there in 04, and 07.
  • I wouldn't want to be the tire changer that's for sure.

Pole winner: How about that other Virginian, Elliot Sadler. And the fan's went crazy for bologna sammich's.
  • Nice, I think he might get an aero-push with that setup though.
  • Denny Hamlin will win the pole for Richmond =Pact contact manager forum

The sloe-mo showed the front of the car hit the TOP of the fence, with the body parallel to the ground, so most of the energy was being adsorbed by a very small pert of the fence near the top.. He was so close to going into the stands.. Beers spilled?? I would expect a few spilled some beer byproduct, if you know what I mean..
The folks up front were looking up at the car as it was coming.. That is some fence..
  • Well, maybe all the fans dropped their beers, because it didn't look like any ended up on the race track during the victory donuts. Of course Jr's driver won, so....well, I'll leave it at that.

  • Or how much you know what was "spilled" into their underpants. Knowing I couldn't be hurt, I would have loved to be sitting there and witnessed that.

In a wreck like Carl's wreck yesterday did any of the water from the radiator burn the fans?

    May be...

  • Probably not.....but the debris would have been favorable over scalding water.
  • I would say it is pretty unlikely. The water didn't come out in a big wave, it just sprayed out. So, if it hit anybody it was only a drop or two, not hardly enough to do any real damage.
  • Good question. I don't know if they have released news yet about the extent of injuries suffered by the fans. I bet we will learn a lot more tonight on This Week In NASCAR. That is going to be a good show tonight.
  • From what I've read there were 7 people with non-life threatening injuries, maybe there was some burns involved in that.
  • That's a good question, I didn't even think about something like that happening. I don't think his front end sustained that much serious damage so maybe the radiator wasn't damaged enough for that to happen. What an awesome day for Junior and US his fans, I was so happy for him I just had to hug something after the race so I hugged my TV when Junior was giving his big smiling, articulate, very happy interview.

  • Well I think it will boost the teams confidence level but i think that team need a shake up to start runnibg up front every week. Let's see what happenes over the next couple of races . This should give a better indication if this was just a fluke or not.
  • Dega is so much of a crap shoot it is hard to tell. We'll be able to tell by the end of Richmond, since that is one of his better tracks
  • Who want's to know? LOL
Welcome home Lenny. Sure it will. That was what the doctor ordered for that team. Four spot's up in the standing's is a cure all for any team. Knowshon to Denver, yike's and I'm a Raider fan.
  • I hope so ,he was looking like he used to yesterday.

  • Yeah I hope he needed to get a good run in. Is anybody else as shocked as I am that nobody is mentioning anything about kyle busch spinning the winner after the race. Once again the guy doesn't deserve to be in this sport.
  • Jr did great in both races, he just partnered up with a guy that doesn't do plate racing, as good as people think.. So did Keselowski.. lol.. Ryan didn't protect the bottom coming through the tri-oval, on Saturday, and Carl did the same thing Sunday.. Jr pretty much controlled both races.. Of course you can't hold him responsible for all hell breaking loose at the end, either day.. He's back, and next week is Richmond..
Good to see you Lenny.. Looking like the old Jr..
  • Welcome back Lenny.

Seemed to have given him a boost of confidence, so maybe.
IF the 88 team can continue to work together as a team, rather than a maylay of individuals. (their biggest problem)
I watched his post race interview, he was......"happy"!?!?
  • i hope so i hope he has all the kinks worked out
  • We'll just have to wait and see. Junior has won at Richmond in the past, but he's run well at some of the other tracks he's struggled at this year. Only time will tell. Yes, a 2nd place finish was great for him, but he needs to string a few of those kinds of runs together to really be back on the right track.
  • It should at least give him a boost of confidence. Richmond is a whole lot different than Talladega but Dale Jr had a great race at Richmond last year until Kyle Busch wrecked him so he could too good this weekend.
  • I think a second place is just what he needed, though a victory would have been better.

Jr needs to run well at the places he is expect to run well at, and Talladega's second place finish allows him to check that off the list.

Jr struggles at Pocono, Indy, Sonoma, and Watkins Glen. And until he figures out those tracks, he will always have trouble winning a championship.

But he doesn't need to worry about those right now. his main focus is, and should be, running well at the tracks he usually runs well at, and putting together a string of good finishes at those tracks.

    So far, so good.
  • let's hope so.were going to find out in the next few races.
  • Well Jr is always good at restrictor plate tracks. His team is having problems with setups everywhere else and keeping up with the track.

Hopefully this finish will erase some of the negative energy floating around on his team and they can focus to improve on the other tracks.earthlink smpt

What an awesome day for Junior and US his fans, I was so happy for him I just had to hug something after the race so I hugged my TV when Junior was giving his big smiling, articulate, very happy interview.

    That's my boy!

  • What is the movie with car racing?

    May be...

  • lookin for movie title was a car racing movie where a black car would always go out in front turn sideways and the other people would smash into him and he would drive away"
  • The Wraith

Starred Charlie Sheen and the car was a Dodge-Chrysler Interceptor M4S

    It fits your description.

  • Superman.
  • Days of Thunder.....?
  • Deathproof.

    i think it's either a chevelle or a challenger
  • Herbie. But it has Nascar racing, not f1.
  • Sounds like a lot of Dale Sr's old races :)

  • Great driving out there today. That was an awesome save. It appear's all those folk's in the grandstand's will be just fine. By the way Helio came home second today, I knew you'd want to know that. See you back at the shop and thank's again.

  • How were your 8 laps on the track today?
  • bobby u ran great today but like always wrong place at the wrong time but nevertheless great race bobby
  • Ok mate, race is over. Now lets go get smashed & pick up some hookers.
  • I would probably ask your favorite driver (Robby Gordon) Have you seen the replay of that crash? That looked exactly like what happened to Jeff Gordon last year, and he said that was his hardest hit ever. (like dude would really like to hear that) I don't think I would want to say too much to those guys after racing Talladega, they gotta be pretty wound up.
  • It is Dega you got to learn to expect the unexpected.

  • Is bumping cars into accidents legal in Nascar?

    May be...

  • You can bump draft cars in the straightaways, but not in the turns. Nascar will penalize a driver if they think he purposely wreck another driver. Brad didn't run into Carl and turn him. He had his nose just under Carl and that is enough to claim the line (especially with the rule prohibiting passing under the yellow line. Carl admitted that Brad did nothing wrong.
  • Carl Edwards was trying to block Keselowski at the end and when he drove down on him he got spun out. That's just racing. Brad didn't mean to make him crash and they were both just trying to win the race. Carl was interviewed after the race and he didn't look that mad. I'm sure he was on the inside but he is a professional and knows how NASCAR racing can be.

And celebrating after a NASCAR race is legal. Every driver that has ever won a race has celebrated in some way either by doing donuts, driving around the track with the checkered flag, and many other celebrations.
  • lol burnouts are not showboating its kinda of a tradition. some drivers perfer not to burnout. they drive around the track facing the stands, drivers side door towards fans like mark martin. others flip off the car, ol' carl edwars. other drivers climb the fence, tony stewart. its just there way of celebrating.
  • You need to understand Nascar a little bit more before you make false accusations.

First of all, Keselowski, the car on the bottom, couldn't pass below a double yellow line. It is a rule. Edwards, the car on the top, tried to block him. He went down the race track and got clipped. His car went airborne and hit the fence. Keselowski was just doing his job, it wasn't his fault. It certainly isn't illegal.
  • It is totally legal, its stupid though because the cars are going so fast that if you purposly hit someone it is tough to avoid the wreck yourself, plus its stupid and the only time you should wreck someone is if it is a bucsh brother and your a lap down
  • The guy wrecked himself.. It isn't legal to intentionally wreck someone.. The guy who won would not have risked wrecking himself.. The only thing that saved him was the other car getting airborne..
  • NASCAR has warned drivers in the past about drafting in the turns but NASCAR has allowed it anyway. They've allowed it on many restrictor plate races including yesterday's Nationwide race at Talladega without saying a word. When some of the drivers get too carried away NASCAR will give them a warning over the radio and if they keep on then they can get black flagged.

Drafting down the straights (pushing) is allowed. They even designed the cars so the bumpers match up and they can do it. That's just part of restrictor plate racing.

The problem comes in that NASCAR doesn't want any car driving (passing) below the yellow line. What this does is create a hazard just like the one that happened today because it's too difficult for a car to pass without going below the line. They have to set up a move and try to fake a pass so they can get their fenders along side of the car in front.

Where the danger is when the car in front blocks. That causes wrecks like there was today at the finish line.
    ---------------

Read this story. This is suppose to be how the rule works but NASCAR seems to forget their own rules and enforces them arbitrarily. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0...
  • I don't usually watch car racing, but I saw the finish to today's race at Talladega. I saw the car pushing the one in front of him ahead, which I assume is legal, but then on the final turn he turned the car ahead of him sideways into that car accident before the finish line.

Is this legal? Then I saw the other car celebrating by doing donuts, isn't that some sort of unsportsmanlike conduct? Should the driver of the car that got bumped and totalled be pissed at this?

I don't watch car racing like I said so I'm curious as to how this works.
  • NASCAR is scripted, just like pro wrestling. That crash was pre-determined as a way of making the end of the race more exciting.
  • it's not legal to purposely wreck someone, no, if that's what you're asking. but that last lap accident at talladega today was just that, an accident. it was actually more the fault of the guy who got wrecked than the guy to won the race. the 09 car had inside position, and the 99 car tried to come down and block him. all the 09 car did was hold his ground, it would have been illegal for him to go below that yellow line, so he didn't. he did nothing wrong there, and the driver of the 99 car agreed.
  • Bumping other cars has been legal for decades if you look at the example of Dirty Dead Dale (Earnhardt Sr) how many drivers did he spin out during his career before his bad karma came back on him?
I agree about the stupid lame burnouts, even Dirty Dead Dale wouldn't have done something that assinine.
  • From the replay, it looked like Brad had his nose under Carl, so If Carl came down on a car, that was already there, he can't blame anyone

I don't think that Carl knew that Brad was that far up, under him, or he wouldn't have down down to block him ,
it was too late for a block....boost controller pit

Why do I see alot of people upset about Talladega?

    May be...

  • It was Talladega racing at its best! Carl had no hard feelings and after dire warnings from NASCAR at the drivers meeting, it appears all parties involved played by the rules and still gave us the most exciting race of the season. Yes, that wreck at the end was scary and dangerous, but Carl was ok and the fence held (I will never say bad things about the "fence police" again at a Nascar race. No matter how mean and obnoxious they may be!) Hopefully any of the parts that made it through or over that fence didn't hurt anyone. Brad won fair and square and only sore losers will complain about the outcome.
  • It seems like a lot of people are crying that Brad should be fined even though he did nothing wrong. People thought it was a bad race...I cannot understand why or how they can think this. With the past several races being nothing but wasted gas this is what racing is about. Talladega cannot disappoint.
  • You know what the sad thing is.

These same people, if NASCAR punished Keselowski for this, would complain that NASCAR is playing favorites, and is punishing Keselowski for taking out a fan favorite.

The way I see it, this just shows, despite the end results, Regan Smith was wrong in what he did last year. He should of stayed put, and let Tony wreck himself, like what Carl did today.
  • I love the fact that he ran across the finish line.
  • Carl admitted it was his fault. End of story.

    It was an amazing race.
  • It wasn't a bad race at all!! And I'm a Carl Edwards fan!! I don't think Brad should be fined, it wasn't his fault!! It was NASCAR"S fault!!

    Congrats on the win Brad!!
  • You see a lot of people upset, because, like any other sport, they do not fully understand the risk involved! Todays race, is, was, and hopefully will be what its suppose to be. All about racing! Unfortunatly, people can get hurt. No one wants to see that, but, thats part of the risk involved. Thats why, THEY, get paid the BIG BUCKS! If they can not hang with the big dogs, get off the porch. By the way, Nascars rules ,say, that you cannot advance to a position by going down below the yellow line, but, you can go below the yellow line , if, it is, to avoid an accident. Also, another way to look at this whole picture, is to agree, that, when going those speeds, it is not always easy to make that choice. Thats racing. The unexpected can happen. I hope no one was seriously hurt today. I go to races, and i know , the RISK envolved. I take that risk, and the responsibility, that comes with it, everytime i go. Thats life and thats part of racing, and if we decide to get too judgemental about nascar rules or any drivers out there, then, its time to stop watching something that apparantly bothers some too much!
  • I was rooting for Carl to win there at the end, mostly because Mark was taken out on Lap 7. In my eyes, Brad did nothing wrong. I strongly feel that wreck was NASCAR's fault. Just look back to the last Dega race, where Regan went below the line to pass Tony after Tony blocked him. If Regan he held his line like Brad did, Tony would have wrecked in almost the same way. NASCAR makes these rules, and look at the danger it put the drivers, and the FANS, in. Unfortunately, that's what people pay to see, so NASCAR is going to keep bringing it to them.
  • Brad did what he had to, Stay on the yellow line, if he moved below it, he would have been blacked flag and be the 1st car 1 lap down. The stupid no going below the yellow line rule caused that wreck. Thing is It took a rookie to have BALLS and keep his wheels on the line and let the blocker wreck himself.
It sucks Carl was that blocker cause I wanted him to win that race, but the rule made Brad do that. People have been forced down clearly and Nascar never saw it and blacked flagged them. Brad would have got blacked flag if he moved low to avoid the wreck.
From this I hope Nascar re-thinks the rule and twicks it.
  • I agree about Brad. But almost everybody agrees he did nothing wrong. I disagree with your assessment of the race though. I don't like plate racing. I thought the race was lame like all 'Dega races are. The past several races were far more exciting to me than this one. sorry. Too much luck and bad luck involved for me.
  • Forgive them, they are newbies..
The rule was meant to keep cars from running into the corners on the apron.. A very dangerous thing to do.. You can take out the whole field that way..
  • Its awsome that brad keselowski won he did absolutely nothing wrong that was all carls fault I mean he was tring to block brad and brad got into him when he came back down if carl would have stayed on the bottom he would have been fine I just feel bad for ryan newman I think he got the worst of it
  • I'm not happy with the outcome of the race, but I don't think Keselowski should be fined. Lay the blame on NASCAR. It made the danged dumb rule.

Talladega is definitely exciting to watch, but I hate that so much depends on luck. I like to see the best driver win, not the luckiest one.
  • If hey are crying and whining, then they just do not know about 'dega this kinda stuff happens in 'dega. Brad knew if he went below the dang yellow line he'd be penalized..I bet Regan Smith is wondering about last fall in 'Dega he should have done the same thing. Congrats Brad this was awesome..I am glad Carl and Newman are okay. But this is 'dega at its normal wild and s**t happens racing..

Go Dale Jr & Hms CONGRATS BRAD..
  • I think that the majority know that it was just racing.downtown los angeles mail forwarding services
  • Did you see what just happened?

    May be...

  • Kenseth caused the big one no matter what angle they show. He took out alot of good drivers and there was no need for that so early in the race.
  • Jamie was wrecked, I'm upset!
  • i thought that it was a wreck it will change the dynamics of the race for sure now.
  • Thats just restrictor plate racing at 'dega, it just happens and most of the time its wild.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms
  • That won't be the last time a bunch of them wreak today
  • CLINT WRECKED!!! CRAP!!!

    GO PAUL MENARD!!!
  • yay Kenseth didnt wreck for once
  • That my fav Kyle Busch is is still in the race! Ha ha!
  • Too bad for all the drivers that are out, especially Gordon and Martin, but at least Jr. and Jimme (my fav) are still in. I hope Jr. wins this one.
  • Big bad accident and I hate to see this especially so early in the race. A lot of good drivers are out for the day.
  • Yes, it's unfortunate. That's just how plate racing is. So many good drivers are now out of the race. And my driver will probably lose the points lead...

Oh well. I guess I will root for Elliott Sadler now.
  • Mark's out <groans.> I can't tell if Elliott made it back out or not--the reporters are only talking to the "big names."

    Argh!
  • Yep I saw it and I'm pretty upset. O well it's talladega and I guess if your driver is going to wreck it's better to be out of the race early than get to the last lap and be wrecked. I'd be really upset if my driver was in the top 5 with just a few laps to go and got wrecked. Now it's time to find something to do around the house. Good Luck to all the other drivers.
  • Dang it. My thoughts.

It wasn't anyone's deal really, either Kenseth came high into Gordon or Gordon came low to Kenseth. Either way, several drivers' days are over.

But I'll continue to watch as much of the race as I can.
  • Yep that's restrictor plate racing with cars moving around all bunched up
  • Just another reason why restrictor plate racing is lame, even though my man made it through. I'm not sure why so many people like this kind of racing.
  • Restrictor plate racing happened.
  • Well it looks like the big one just happened. What are your thoughts on this incident?
  • Things like this happen all the time. Thankfully, everyone is alright, but I did not like that some of the best racers are out of the race now.

Mind you, I don't watch NASCAR very often, but when I do, I hardly know who the root for, so I just root for whoever is in first place.

    Hope this helps :)
  • This is exactly why Mark Martin hates racing here. He didn't even break a sweat before they start racing for the win on lap 8, causing a wreck, getting a whole bunch of innocent bystanders, including Mark, involved. My thoughts are, it's too frickin early to be racing like that!!!

    Go David Ragan!
  • well, i am very freaking ticked about it. i am not sure how but kasey got involved in it, its dumb. but i am glad everyone is ok.sony clie 710

  • Tony Stewart

Kyle Busch is going to be in the big one.
  • kasey kahne always crashes
and regan smith will win how about that for a sleeper come on someone else make a bold pick instead of dale jr
  • Anyone has a chance to win this one. Look at yesterday! Who's going down in the big one? Hmmm lemme think.....Ok, well some idiot(Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and others) will do some dumb-*** move and wreck half the field. Thats my prediction. Some of these guys drive like animals so it won't be a matter of if, but when.
  • Martin Truex Jr. will win

hopfully Dale Jr. will be in the big one
  • the little blue deuce: kurt busch. [he don't
    know what he's got].
  • Dale Jr
  • Although I don't care for him I think Jeff Gordon will. He is doing better this year and i don't see anybody else challenging him. Maybe we'll have a first timer. I'd like that.
  • Dale Jr for the win and thats the question(the big one) all the drivers would love to know so they can stay away. I hope there is not one but it always seems to happen.foucous
  • Why are the BBC continuing with Jonathon Legard when he is obviously the only bad part of the new F1 coverage?

    May be...

  • Marginally, just, better than Eddie Jordan. Two big mistakes for this year I'm afraid!!
  • He sounds like a tired Peter Purvees commentating on a Royal garden party or Rememberance Sunday

No enthusiasm, seemingly no F1 knowledge, and that annoyingly constant same level drone.

He constantly talks over the other coverage team and is quite frankly boring

I don't want to miss Martin Brundle's commentary but may be forced to switch to the alternative

I was no big James Allen fan, but come on BBC , Legard is sooooo wrong for this job

What do other f1 fans think of Legard?
  • I didn't think he was too bad, he corrected Brundle on the Toyota's tyre changes today, he doesn't shout "oh my god Hamilton turned the corner" every 2 minutes like James Allen did, yes his voice is a bit lumbering for a fast sport but he could be a lot worse IMO.
  • I dont think he's too bad, hes no Murray Walker but hes a vast improvement on James Allen, who's Hamilton bias was as offensive as was his lack of ability to read a race. Got to add that DC is doing a great job as a pundit.
  • Here here!
Stating the bloody obvious is his game isn't it. And missing the point. When Button came out of the pits and had leap frogged both Toyotas, he hadn't even realised it, so didn't even say anything about it until a couple of laps later. I mean, that was one of the decisive moments of the race!
    Sack him, I'd say.
  • I don't like him either. He's voice is annoying and he talks drivel like when he made the comparison about someone getting the new world record for holding their breath under water and the race conditions or some cr@p! WTF?????

Bring back James Allen! All is forgiven!!sony projector mount

    May be...

  • It does seem to be a little familiar, doesn't it.
  • Well from what I saw Jr was trying to save his car after a non-driver again tried to improve his position by taking out some of the competition. What I did see and have been seeing of late is a Jr that is tired of being the nice guy, which always finishes last and is beginning to resemble the true Earnhardt blood that runs in his vains. It's about time I think. The only problem is NASCAR is getting too pussified for real racers like SR was and the good ole timers were.
  • Nope, in my opinion they are 2 completely different men with 2 completely different driving styles. You should know that being an #88 fan. Junior gets ridiculed all the time for not being aggressive like his dad was. Both incidents you are referring to were mishaps. Junior wasn't 100% at fault for the Vickers incident and well...Mears did wipe Junior out even though it wasn't intentional, so the rest was just payback on both ends. Sometimes i wish Junior would knock guys out of the way to get a win but it just isn't his style & I love him anyway.
  • The only thing they have in common is their name.
  • god he sucks...so he gets mad at whoever...they cant help it he sucks and doesnt know how to drive
  • Like father like son....I was just happy to see Kerry on the track and do fairly well. I was more impressed with him.

  • I hate to say this but after it was over Kyle's car looked like an empty bag of M&M's that someone threw out on the track. I don't agree that Dale Jr was the cause of it. That was a result of blocking by Vickers. There is suppose to be rules against blocking. They'll wait until Dale Jr blocks before they decide to enforce that rule.

I started watching the same year Dale Sr wrecked so I really can't compare the 2 driver's driving styles.
  • if this is a "yes" or "no" question, i'm going to have to say "no"
Because it's thinking like that, that causes Junior all his fan problems.
    Junior is "not" his father.
  • I guess the difference is that Dale Sr. would've done it, but made it look cool.
And speaking of 'like father like son', wasn't it cool to see an Earnhart & a Wallace battling for the lead today at Talladega?
  • I doubt that Dale Jr. wants to crash his car and have his neck snap like a stale bread stick and die the way his father did.green light flash
