A: Adrian Campos? Competed in the 1988 San Marino GP and was dropped later in the season for Martini. Adrian also gave Fernando his first test in a race car.

B: Jochen Rindt. John Miles was number 2 behind Jochen, Ron was Jochen's mechanic at Cooper, and I think Bernie was his manager when he died at Monza

I'm thinking A. might be Adrian Campos. 1988 San Marino was his last F1 start (he finished 16th), he failed to qualify for the next 3 GP's and was replaced with Pierluigi Martini. The Alonso link is that he drove for Campos in the Spanish Movistar Nissan series in '99. Campos may also have managed Alonso to some extent during his early career.palm iiixe keyboard
