Would you support a "competition yellow" rule for boring races?

May be...

  • No.
  • no the leaders would not be able to drive away from the field
  • Every time there's debris they show it so people don't think it's bogus. No that would be bad. Besides all the races this year have been great !!!!!!!!
  • that makes zero sense. every driver would be inflamed, as would the hard-core fans.
  • No, because that would cause too much trouble. When should there be a caution? NASCAR would pretty much be able to control the race that way, by throwing a yellow when a specific driver would be close to going a lap down, or to give another one a lap back. Even if they weren't playing favorites, some people would always believe they were.
  • that would just be boring
  • NO!! that's like saying at half time of a football game if one team has a 21 point lead that they give the losing team two touchdowns to make it more exciting for the second half.
  • absolutely NOT!
  • Honestly, I prefer the phantom debris cautions. At least NASCAR's pretending there's a good excuse for a caution. Sometimes, they even let us see the debris.
  • no that would make drivers mad especially the leader they better keep making up things on the track piece of tire or bubble gun what ever they see
  • Why would you want to make them even longer and more boring? What I would like to see is NASCAR forcing the cars that are many, many laps down due to accidents and such, riding around and points racing, off the track.
  • Instead of throwing cautions for phantom debris, should NASCAR just make a rule for a competition yellow to get the field stacked back up, and make the race more entertaining?
  • There really isn't a reason for it since as you mention, they already have the phantom debris cautions. I think it's stupid to stack the field back up. Even when it's someone like Jimmie Johnson trouncing the field, if his car is that much better, so be it. I still enjoy watching the battles for positions on back the field.
  • a Competition yellow flag ? how do you have Competition under a yellow flag? i think if they have one shouldn't count down the laps of a race, and nascar is going to throw races under this rule when and how they want to its all about the money and the revenue generated you got to keep that in the back of your mind at all times during a (race)that's the nascar policy just ask brian france money first fans second that's the first rule in the nascar rule book on page one .bike mount pda
