Is there any room on any Sprint Cup or Nationwide series teams for Johnny Benson?

May be...

  • he wins on luck...
  • As much as I hate to say it, it does look as if not even a champion has job security in this economy. I don't think someone should just let him take over their car, or truck, but I think if somebody wanted to step in and start their on team, JB is a prime candidate for the job.
  • I think it's fitting if he has to sit out for a while. He kicked his team owners to the curb last season after he/they won the championship.

If he had not done that he and BDR might still be running for another championship. He may have lost some value with the owners concidering the way he treated BDR.
  • Johnny Benson is THE MAN. Someday, he'll come back to Cup and be the new Mark Martin.
  • Why don't they put Johnny in T.J. Bell's ride? Johnny's much higher in points and running for a championship. You're absolutely right, the defending champ should not be treated this way. T.J. ought to move over for JB.
  • It seems to me that he was going to drive a car for DEI...and this was late last year that it was announced and there were a few questions on it...but I don't know why that fell through.
  • Or any truck series team.

The defending Camping World Truck champion team shut down today. I really hate to hear this. Johnny is a great guy!

  • That just isn't right ! I hope he finds a ride somewhere in cup before long.

  • OMG We almost fell off of our chairs over this news! Poor Johnny. What a horrible road to take after taking the championship last year! We hate to hear this too. Johnny is a good guy!!!! Darn.....
  • Well theres part time teams that are looking.
I would say TBR Tommy Baldwin but he's Got Mike Skinner (Love the Guy), Brian Simo and Patrick Carpentier in the 36 car.

James Finch could perhaps find someone better than Mike Bliss.

Theres The Racers Group TRG Racing.

Front Row Motorsports and Morgan McClure Motorsport.

    Perhaps the Wood Brothers?

For Truck Series I don't see many openings.
  • maybe earnhardt-ganassi because martin truex will be leaving at the end of the year.
  • i don't think so. i kinda liked the guy when he drove for rousch. however, after that he seemed to develop an 'attitude' and get a bit touchy. i thought his response about the team shutting down was a bit pompous. i think he'll find work again in the truck series though.f1 f12 keys
