Is Clint Bowyer getting the credit he deserves?

I don't feel he's ever gotten the credit he deserves. Last year they called him a fluke in the cup series chase, finishing 3rd to the dominant duo of Jeff and Jimmie. This year people were counting him out of making the chase and he is once again challenging for a top 5 finish in the standings. He could also end up as the highest placing RCR driver for the 2nd straight year. Add in his ultra consistent Nationwide results and you have a great season by anyone's standards. He often gets overlooked and has said a couple of things that ticked a lot of people off (I thought he was spot on with his Mikey comment) but he will continue to prove that he is one of the best drivers there is in NASCAR, whether you like him or not.

he's gettin a lot of name calling and disrespect some think he deserves. personally i think he's a really good driver and you never hear that just the things he's said or done wrong.

No, not really. Just like all "unsung heroes" he's not getting the media attention he has earned.

He's very underrated at the Nationwide Series. All attention was with Edwards taking over the spotlight and they're talking about the Cup while the Nationwide Series is racing.

I lost any respect for him when he made that comment about Mikey.

I really don't think he is. He has been very consistent this year. With guys like Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards winning a lot, it takes a lot of attention away from many other drivers. Clint hasn't been happy with his finishes lately, but he's been leading the points almost the year so he has been doing a good job.

No. For some reason it looks like if you are born and grew up in Kansas, you ain't worth coverage by the media. Clint just seems to calmly go about his job-winning.

Good question Tommy G ;) and No I don't think so. You hear more about Carl Edwards closing in on him than you do about Clint actually leading and possibly winning the Championship. You don't hear to much about how the #2 has had an outstanding year in the Nationwide Series the guy has had 27 top 10's and 12 top 5's, I mean come on where is the love for my boy Clint?

Lets see how can I say this nicely.........If he wasn't constantly opening his mouth and inserting his foot every 2 minutes people might want to talk to him more and in return you would hear more about him......Was that nice enough :)

In the Nationwide Series, he led the whole year and you don't hear anything about him.

I don't believe he gets the credit he deserves. Last year everyone thought he didn't deserve to be in the chase and he almost won the whole thing. This year he has been leading for most of the year and all you hear about is how Carl Edwards or Brad Keslowski are set to take over the lead.
