Thats true the NASCAR car world almost revolves around Jr. I mean when the man speaks people listen, when he runs up front every body cheers.

And as far as Jimmie needing to change. I would agree. They should do some thing about him winning every thing. Cause if it was Jr then every body would say hes a cheater. Or even last year when Gordon won a lot they called him a cheater. But Jimmie dominates week in and week out and not a thing is said.

Maybe theres some thing to that.

First off...Zach,everyone that is not a 48 fan says that he is a cheater.

I somewhat agree that there would be better attendance if Jr. was fighting for the championship.However,I still feel it is mostly due to the economy.As far as Jimmie needing to change,I don't think he does.He is who he is and doesn't care who likes him.He is one of the best drivers ever and is about to be a 3peat champ.Would you change?

Two of the jokers they talked to don't know anything about Nascar except for Ricky Craven. Look, I know Dale Jr fans think he is a God. He does no wrong with most of the true fans of Dale Jr. If Nascar is betting it will get people in the stands because of Jr they are sadly wrong. Thanks Bush (not kurt) but the prez.

of course if the sports most popular driver were vying for the championship, ratings would be up. that's no different than any other sport - the bigger market teams with more fans are a bigger draw when they get into their playoffs, championships, etc.

Although it makes me sad to say it but yes, if Junior was going for the Championship their would be many more viewers. All the newbies and bandwagon jumpers would be happy and tuning in more. I for one am hoping many of his so called fans will drop off then his real fans can shine through and be there in the end when he does indeed win a Championship.

As for Jimmie Johnson what can he change....loose a bit maybe? I hope not. The #48 team are Champs and deserve everything they get.

After 8 years of Republican rule no one can afford to go. No job, no race. Jr or no jr people cant afford to go. They have to save their money and put food on the table for their family. That's if they have their priority's straight. Look I know jr can walk on water and part the oceans in a blink of a eye but people are hurting in the pocket book. Maybe jr could donate some money to G Dub ya Bush he could fix things with our economy but I doubt he is willing to part with his dollars. It cost alot to party these days. Why does Jimmie need to change? He is doing what he is paid to do, win championships. In Nascar you are supposed to win races and championships or am I missing something about how Nascar drivers do things.

Maybe a little truth about Junior, Jimmie doesn't need to change a thing. I think the economy has more to do with the lessening attendance than anything and I think it will be much worse next season.

I just was on Yahoo sports they said that if Junior was going for the championship that their would be alot more in attendace, and alot more viewing Nascar, they also said Jimmie Johnson needs to change a bit.
