It's like any sport if you know all the players , know all the history and know all the facts it can be as fascinating and exciting as any other sport. the KEY words in your whole rant were I DON"T KNOW. If you don't like the sport then why are you on here ????? Maybe get some facts and do some research before you start disrespecting the sport that so many people enjoy.

If you have to ask, you'll never get it...All those Lefts are exciting they never know what is around the corner, they have to depend on there crew cheif and spotters, they go 2 and 3 wide around the corners at huge speeds, bet if we got you in a Drive along or if you went to Richard Petty driving school, you would be hooked.

It boils down to, different strokes for different folks. There are plenty of sports and other activities that I don't see the point in or care for but I don't spend my time questioning why others like it. I figure live and let live. I am sure that there are things that you like that most of the people in this world don't and that is what makes us individuals.
If you don't get it then what do you care about the people that do? You need a new hobby other than trolling sections just to express your unwarranted opinion.
Personally, I don't understand the popularity of baseball. I mean come on, grown men throwing a ball, hitting it with a stick and then running around in a circle (making left hand turns), or soccer, full grown men running around dressed like children running around kicking a ball (Oh look at me, I kick the ball like a little girl) but I don't condemn the people that do or troll their section making fun of them, probably good advise for you to follow.

NASCAR began more than a decade before the first Super Bowl. And is still going strong today. They must be doing "something" right, eh?

It take one who's willing to learn the sport, to actually love it. Apparently thats not your cup of tea. Ignorant people think its just driving in circles. Thats just like saying football players run into eachother, soccer players just run in circles, basketball players just walk around etc. Yes it's a hard sport to get into, but all sports are. Racing requires alot of strategy and skill. Its not easy running a short track, roadcourse or super speedway everyweek. Its physically demanding, drivers can lose up to 30 pounds in sweat alone, not to mention they are pulling 4 g's at most tracks in the corner. This year hasn't been all that great coverage wise. Many commercials, and not that many good races. But if you were to judge the sport, I suggest you go to Bristol Talladega or Daytona. I say spend a weekend in Talladega. Nothing beats the weekend camping/tailgating. Its like mardi-gras, and the racing quality will instantly hook you. I think nascar's problem these days is there are to many boring intermediate cookie cutter tracks.

I find it the greatest sport to cure insomnia. 30 laps and zzzzzzzz. right up there with lawn bowls and marbles.

If it is so easy and does not take any skill then why aren't you out their doing it? If it was so easy everyone would become a NASCAR driver and be making millions.
