Is Nascar rigged? Jimmy Johnson is a good driver, but not good enough to win races like he does.?

No it's not rigged. you have a great driver and a greater team! Chad and Jimmie gel like no one else. (Gator is right) not to mention he drives for the greatest motorsports team in the cup series.

Why would Nascar be rigged? I guess you are talking about last weeks race. Why would Nascar cheat Juan Montoya out of a win? If Montoya would have won last week, it would have been huge for Nascar. Montoya could have been the first driver to win the Brickyard 400 and the Indy 500. Not only is JimmIE Johnson a great driver, but he has the best team and crew chief.

He has four things going for him:
He's a fine driver. He's a consistent driver. He's a lucky driver. And of course, there's always his ace-in-the-hole; Chad Knaus (arguably the best current crew chief in Cup, maybe the whole of NASCAR).

Now this isn't so easy. Rigged? Totally fixed? No. However, it used to be - and I think still occurs occasionally - that yellows for "debris" are sometimes suspect. Same-o with speeding on pit road violations. Same with timing for throwing yellows. You can't prove it, but in the last 25 years I've seen a lot of questionable calls - from the outside as a fan, and from the inside as a NASCAR contractor.

If there is an edge given to anyone, it's done in a way so as not to be very noticeable or obvious. Of course you must factor in my bias. I've seen them from the inside and much of what I saw, I didn't like. Then again, I've been out of the game for over 10 years.

why would you ask such a thing. Do you watch nascar racing? Not only is he that good he is also that lucky. You have to have lady luck on your side in nascar...

Jimmie Johnson is excellent. No, it is not rigged. Jimmie and his crew Chad Knaus work together day in and out as a team. Chad is a workaholic, and works on that race car all week, and staying up all night before race day, looking @ notes from other races, setups, etc.
If you do your homework, and are giving it 110% why shouldnt he win.

No, it's not rigged. Mr. Johnson is apparently a great driver; got those multiple championships going for him and whatnot. And his name is JimmIE.

Do you actually watch the races? Jimmie is phenomenal and deserves every win him, Chad & the #48 team pull out.

I am curious why you think Johnson is not good enough to win races. The evidence points to him being one of the best Nascar has ever seen. Knaus also deserves a ton of the credit. Chad knows how to make the 48 car fast when it counts.
If Nascar was rigged, I'm pretty sure they'd let Dale Jr win a few races every season.

That brings up a good point. How many times has the 48 team been penalized for cheating? Chad Knaus has been suspended for cheating also when Darien Grubb stepped in and had to be the interim crew chief while Knaus was suspended? who checks into that?

Jimmie Is a great driver, his pit crew chief (Chad Knaus) is a genius and the 2 of them have gelled like no other team in NASCAR!

Jimmie Johnson is a great and possibly the most underrated driver. If NASCAR was rigged, Dale Jr would have won more than 1 race in the last 3 1/2 years.

NASCAR is not rigged. Jimmie just has a really good crew and crew chief. Not to mention they all perform well under pressure.

By the success Jimmy has had I can see where many many people would think the way you do. However being an old racer my self I have to say NO, nascar is not rigged. Is everything completly above board, NO. But as far as the 48 team winning those races it isn`t just Jimmy. Granted Johnson is an excellent wheel man, but just being a wheel man is not enough, you need the whole package and that is exactly what they have achieved. You might say the stars have aligned for this particulr Hindrix team. An excellent crew chief, an excellent driver an excellent team, and millions of Lowe`s dollars in sponsership. Plus if you notice the always play it safe in the points department in the ladder half of the seasons when the other teams are getting frustrated and running low on stamina. But, this is the year of de throning for old Jimmy Johnson. If you have not noticed, then start watching the 14 of Mr Smoke. He has come out playing the same game as the 48 team plays only he got off to an early start and is going to be very hard to beat. My money is all on the 14 team this year for winning the championship.
