Would Anyone believe that this was said in a Southern Newspaper Forum?

May be...

  • Nascar adds billions to the US economy. Stopping Nascar would hurt the US and the many local economies that have tracks. The economical impact is much more important than the use of several thousand gallons of gasoline.

These people are obviously children who haven't been educated yet.

    Support the troops!!!
  • Not to be rude but keep politics out of Nascar.
  • I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR OPINION AND SUGGEST YOU RUN FOR CONGRESS OR CHANGE WHERE YOU POST POLITICAL IDEAS. ALSO WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THIS COUNTRY BESIDES COME UP WITH BOGUS IDEAS?
  • oh that's nice

NASCAR makes a whole lot of money It's the second biggest sport in america behind football

PLUS the Daytona 500 is the 4th biggest sporting event in America
  • God Bless our Troops!!!!

And thank you NA$CAR for supporting them also.
  • Sure, I believe it. Excuse my ignorance, but isn't what you're doing called phishing or something like that?
  • we need NASCAR to buy the expensive gasoline to support our governments efforts in other countrys... (that doesn't sound right, does it?) I think that columnist for that newspaper has his head in his exhaust pipe
  • They must be football fans. Because in that case ALL sports should be banned for the year. Think of all the gasoline that would be saved then. Noone would be flying or driving to football, baseball, soccer, hockey, golf, swimming, tennis, boxing, etc. every week.

Yes NASCAR may use more gas then those other sports. But the concept is still the same. We fans, of whatever sport, use gasoline everyweek we go to a sporting event. And more to the point, the players use gasoline or jet fuel, if flying, everyweek they play an event.

Now the other fans need to ask themselves if they could sacrifice 1 year with no football, no baseball. no soccer, no golf, no hockey, no tennis, no volleyball, etc, for their nation.

And don't forget all the little league, college, high school, city, etc sporting events that parents are taking their little ones to. What should their sacrifice be?

This is just someone writing in reponse to an article on a sport that they don't even like. Talk about a waste of time & energy. Trying to get a rise out of us NASCAR fans. Well, power to them. I wouldn't waste my time on them.
  • Supporting Those that Support OUR Troops
In response to publication that NASCAR was going to demonstrate their Support of Our Troops, the Troop Haters have issued a call to undermine both NASCAR and the Effort. It is in the Interest of this Group to ensure that such a negative campaign by the opposition does not go unanswered.

It is crucial that NASCAR receive Postive Reinforcement for their Support of The Troops. Here is the Press Release demonstrating Support: http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/home/...

This was a response to the news in other circles:
"Nascar is a crappy excuse for a sport and should be banned for a year to save gasoline."

"That would be the partriotic thing to do. All you nascar "patriots" out there can at least sacrafice a year of no races, right? You can do that small sacrafice for your nation? "
