Lack of talent Its very simple, dale jr is a below average driver.and always will be. That's about the only thing going positive for him(lack of talent) Overrated: Daddy's coat tail. Dale, Jr. is not his dad. Look at the Pettys. Richard won 200 races; Kyle won 8. Dale, Jr. is not in the same class as Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards. He also insists on having a relative as his crew chief and that did not work at DEI and did not work with HMS. The only race he has won in 2 years was on fuel mileage. He made one less pit stop that everyone else and without that he would have 0 wins. He is one of the most over rated pro athletes ever. He is the same age as Jimmie Johnson and has 21 less wins.

Junior just doesn't have what it takes to win week after week. He doesn't have the talent, the crew chief, the drive and he is far from fit to handle the rigor of putting the effort week end and week out. Just look at his record as of late. He does well the first part of the season and then he just flops. He and his crew cheif need to find their way to the gym.
