Should I repaint my '99 Spencer to match today's winner's car?

I have a Jimmy Spencer piggy bank, but I don't like the white with the red 12 on it... got it for my 30th - he was my fave back then... I think I want to paiint it like the Burton Citgo car...
I opened the box carefully, what kinda glue should I use to put the box back together so it won't show?
