Was Mike Waltrip really cheating at the Daytona?

He was definitely cheating at last year's Daytona 500. Do I think he CAN, yes, but I highly doubt that he WILL. He could sneak in a fuel mileage win or plate race and that's his only hope.

No. NASCAR needs to look into these "violations" before accusing them all of cheating. I am not a big Mike Waltrip fan (how can anyone be? At race's end he is already in the garage or a kajillion laps down), but I wouldn't be so quick to judge as the powers that be in NASCAR do.

You should choose a different driver to root for. Waltrip cannot win a race ever. The only reason he still races is because he owns the team.

Every team cheats to some extent, some are just more discreet. Someone once said "If you're not cheating, you're not trying."

I expect Vickers or Reutimann to win before Mikey does, he just has too much on his plate right now.

yeah he did cheat, added stuff to the gas and i dont think he will win but if he does it might come at Dayton this july or mabe Talladega.

Yes it was true, a added stuff to the fuel to make it faster, (I heard rocket fuel, Hmmmmmmmm) and I think he can win, he has been somewhat consistent. But I don't think he will win.

He was doing what everyone else is doing, except he got caught. Unfortuately, he will not win this year. He is only strong at restrictor plate tracks and they are stronger Toyotas than his running right now.

yes, he was caught with jet fuel in his car back at daytona last year. old news there. can he win this year - sure, but it will probably have to be at a restrictor plate track. he really isn't all that good anywhere else - he's best known for his two daytona 500 wins, and not a heck of a lot else.

No, Mikey didn't do it. It was a single individual on his team that done it. Michael didn't even know until NASCAR found it.

As for the win, his best chance is at Daytona and Talladega. He has a good chance at Pocono because he was pretty fast there in testing.

I don't think Mikey will win another race for the rest of his career. He's a joke. Mikey needs to step aside and give the 55 to some young blood that actually has a chance to be competitive.
