I am not a Gordon fan, but I think that anyone who says Gordon does not have a chance to win #5 is an idiot. He's off to a really good start this year, and I have a feeling he'll have a couple of wins by the time the chase begins. There's not doubt the man can do it.

It's been alive and kicking since he won his 4th.. Luck just hasn't fallen his way, in races or in the rule books.

He's Mr. Consistency right now, but lets see if he can keep that up (ESPECIALLY IN THE CHASE, The only place it seems to matter)

It's for sure still alive. I think Jeff and his team are more motivated than ever. The #24 team is motivated by the winless streak and people saying they can't win another championship.

OK, here it is, #1 Cause I am not in the mood and #2 ... look at it any way you want, The man is a Legend. No myth about it. If any one that I would like to see win the Championship over at HMS, it would be Jeff. I would like to se him win at least "one for the road" Jeff has been racing 16yrs now. It is, but I hope it won't be next year because that slogan has been around since 2002. I have been waiting a long time for Jeff to finally get that fifth championship and I hope he gets it this year. He was so close in 2004 and 2007. And he handled his struggles last year like a class act and worked hard to get back in this position. If he keeps it up, maybe he will hold the Sprint Cup at Homestead. Then maybe they will have a new slogan like the "Search for Six" or something like that.

Its definitely alive, he is doing the best at HMS so far this yr, and he is leading in the points right now, so yes the drive for 5 is very much alive so far this yr, if he keeps it up he could very well get the 5th championship (sorry Jimmie) this yr.
