Tony STEWART wants decent tires to race on. Who can blame him?

Wow I live in Indiana and i was unaware that Hoosier Tires was foreign... Stupid, get you facts straight. Plus I believe it's up to the veteran drivers like stewart and Gordon who are well known in this sport who's opinions can really make a difference, to speak up and get things changed.
No offense but if a mid-pack driver said something about a tire issue no one would have really cared.
But the more of those Cups you have on your trophy self really does seem to make a difference.

I think Goodyear needs to step up and try to prevent another tire war. If that happened we would need SAFER barriers around the whole track and not just the corners.

tony is one of the few drivers to vocalize what the other drivers don't have the guts to say. call it whining if you will but if he doesn't say something who will.

It's one thing to say "Goodyear missed the mark with that tire and I hope they fix it before we come back" it is another thing altogether to go on a rant about how they can't do anything right, get run out of other racing and mention all their competitors to give them endorsements. This is a corporate partner of NASCAR and fat boy shouldn't be biting the hand that feeds him and judging by his bulging gut feeds him real well!!!!

He wasn't whining, he finished 2nd! He was just a little louder about the tires, just saying what the others were thinking.

Tony is not the only driver to say the tires were crap, Jr sat right beside him in interview, Gordon had the same issue, if the drivers, who know the cars much better than we do can tell the tires are no good, then they are to be believed...

I cannot stand Tony Stewart, but this time I don't think he was whining. He would have to be the only one complaining for it to be whining. But you had the race winner (Busch), the most popular driver (Jr.), and the most successful active driver(Gordon), all saying the same thing. And those are just the most prominent drivers that complained. I think he had a valid point.

Stewart didn't say foreign, he said different, the Goodyears weren't working.....

Tony just speaks his mind even though he will be fined. Some of the other drivers are too meek to come out against NASCAR. I saw on ESPN some drivers may be fined for speaking out against the Edwards situation

I have a hard time with calling him a whiner after he finishes second. Had he said the same thing after running 20th, then OK. I'm no Stewart fan but I think its great when a driver says what they're truly thinking. Maybe they would more often if so many people like you weren't there to criticize their every word.

Foreign tires? I saw an article earlier today at school saying that they were saying something about Hoosier tires. Hmm...Hoosier tires are based in Indiana....so you're telling me I've been living in a different country for 18 years? This is news to me!

Tony has every right to complain, as does every driver out there. Those tires they've got are really bad. It takes at least one voice to get it changed, and leave it to Tony to really voice it!

Tony Stewart is not a whiner. I personally hate Tony Stewart but he was not the only driver who complained about the tires. Dale Jr. even agreed with him. By the way, next time you insult someone spell the insult right. Winer is spelled whiner.
