So not including Chad Knaus? no matter what hes #1 in recent years.

Either Zippy on the #20 or Steve Addington on the #18.

Obviously it's Carl Edwards crew chief, can't think of his name.

Pat Tryson is first and Scott Miller is also very good.

I'll give it to Steve Addington right now. If Zippy is able to get the 20 back to victory lane with Joey Logano, he will pass Addington.

I also have to give Tony Eury Jr. a call as a good crew chief. Not because he is great at setting up the car or anything. Instead, I give him a call for putting up with all the criticism from Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jr Nation. He always gets dumped on, and he handles it with class.

Has to be Zippy on the #20 team. He defintely in my opinion is the #2 man in our sport. Just an opinion as always.

It's a toss up between Zippy and Addington, but with Zippy/Tony and with Addington/Kyle..it's been drivers who effectively communicate the car's needs and gives the right feedback to keep it competitive throughout the race. Joey doesn't have that ability yet, so if Zippy can keep him competitive, I gotta give it to him.
Honorable mention to Addington though, the man's got nerves of steele.

Greg Zippedeli, I just wish he would have went on with Tony Stewart.

Bob Osborn, he and cousin Carl seem to have it so right on...and your boy's Pat Tryson is right up there also..But I'd say Bob Osborn and Carl are a match thats gonna get a championship pretty soon..

Go Dale Jr & Hms

Bob Osborne, crew chief on the 99. You don't win that many races, and finish 2nd in the standings without a good man on top of the pit box. Obviously Knaus is top dog right now, but Osborne is no slouch. Think how many races Edwards hasn't just won, but destroyed the field all day. And it wasn't just last year.


As a side note my pick for " Best Crew Chief Name " is a dead heat between Bootie Barker, and Donnie Wingo. They are the " Dick Trickle " of crew chief names.

Best next to Chad Knaus ~ Zippy of course. My 2nd best would be Tony Eury Jr. or Steve Addington. It's sure going to be different not hearing Smoke & Zippy talkin back n forth. It should be a very interesting year.
