Is anyone else as disappointed as I am with HMS?

May be...

  • oooo come on
  • im very disappointed at HMS. They are ripping my driver Dale Jr out of everything. Jeff and Jimmie are getting the Cadalac of race cars and Mark and Dale Jr are getting the Hugo;s.
  • Not me. I'm sitting pretty right now. Jeff is leading the point series!! People need to quit whining about JR. His problem is his crew chief. Mark's engine troubles... not sure. Let's hope that he gets these out of the way early and has a great rest of the season.
  • Mark and Jr both pop out of gear, overrev, and $#!+ an engine in less than 2 laps, twice for Mark. It's more than just engines, there's a tranny issue there, too.
  • I'm disappointed with them too. It just seems fishy to me that Dale Jr and Martin have the same problems with their cars while Johnson and Gordon ride out front. Maybe it's the curse of DEI. Once you've walked through that front door you never truly walk out, lol!
  • Martin is a bigger cry baby than dale jr....HMS does not need either one...all Martin can say is "I'm havin' fun".. jr. gets caught speeding on pit row-now will want the speeding rule changed. Mother Theresa, come get this kid by the ear and take him back...total embarrassment for Jimmie and Jeff....
  • You and me both know that It has nothing to do with Rick using Mark as a test or whatever. Rick Hendrick is one of if not THE most respected car owners in Nascar and I am 100% confident That this organization will fix their engine problems very soon. Martin will have a shot at the title. Mark my words.
  • OMG i dont care about today this whole season...jeesh 2 engine failures this week i think Jr last week...i am not sure...like i watched today and elgit sat and thought...what is up with these guys...they are not nearly performing to the standar they set 07 and tried to continue in 08...=[ i hope they turn this around
  • Nothing to do with what HMS is doing. These problems are running across the board. No one is safe, Chevy's, Ford's, and Toyota are all having similar engine issues. This is a supplier problem. NASCAR needs to look to their parts supplier and start to question what is going on.

My .02...times are tough and the economy is kicking everyone in the ***. When times get tough, companies trend to cut corners and look more to their bottom line than their product. Time for NASCAR to run some Quality Control checks
  • I am very disappointed with HMS and Rick all together. He let a good one go with Kyle Busch. He is going to come back and haunt Rick before its all and done with.
  • I am extremely upset with Hendrick Motorsports after todays race at Vegas. Why? Because in the first 3 races this year, Mark Martin has had 2 engine failures. To me, if you want to bring a guy like Martin into your stable, you should not use him as a test driver for your bigger names. Mark came into this deal thinking he'd have a shot to win a championship, but Rick seems more interested in using him to see what will or will not work for the 24 and 48 cars. Who else feels Rick is not supporting his end of the deal here?
  • If anyone deserves a championship, it's Mark Martin. He is a true "real" NASCAR racer.
  • i am disappointed with hms. sumbody is sabbatged his(88) car to lose motors and flat tires.
  • lol John F your really gonna call out jr on his pit mistake and say that he and martin are an embarassment to gordon and jimmie. jimmie slid threw his pit box once and gordon locked up his left front and blew the tire trying to get on pit road, he had to go around and then brought out a caution. they were all honest mistakes, i like all HMS drivers incase it sounds like im bashing gordon and johnson, sry. Alot of people had problems this weekend with the pit road entry not just jr.
  • I don't think it's Rick Hendricks fault. And besides Mark Martin shifted his car out of gear and stepped on the throttle too hard. I would blame it on his technicians for not setting the rev-limiter properly. But even an engine "not under load" could fail at R.P.M.s over 9,000
  • I'm disappointed but I don't think Hendrick is using Martin as a test driver at all. They just have some parts issues.
Remember Gibbs steering box issues last year when Kyle lost power steering on more than one occasion........
  • yes, i am. he had no right to let out that bull, and you could have gotten seriously injured. you should eat him.

    heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. hoooooooooooooooaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyeeee... heejeeheeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  • Rick just wants the cash that Martin and Jr. bring, it's a shame that he can't find it in him to give Martin decent cars
  • Do you have any proof for your reasoning? Any proof that he using Mark Martin is being used in that manner?

It either could be setups... remember every driver has their car setup to their liking.. so even if teammates share setups, they have their own driving style or a little tweak to it to meet that style.. that could be a factor...

    OR

Remember, the cars of Jr. and Martin are made in different shops.. not in ones Johnson and Gordon's are made.. you may question why.. maybe because theirs (JJ and JG's) were already established before the others.. and so the didn't have "room" to house and run 4 car shops... also, remember Jr. has had problems as well... in the last few weeks.. at least more than Johnson and especially Gordon.. them being in the same shop could be that reason.. maybe Martin's failed and Jr.'s today (for this race).. remember although Kenseth, Ragan, and Edwards had failures, Biffle and McMurray didn't..how fast broadband
