Should NASCAR give points in a rained out race?

May be...

  • Yes they should. Every driver raced and earned the points. It has nothing to do with the best driver winning or loosing.
  • Yes...absolutely.
The drivers don't care for rain calls anyway...unless you are in the right place at the right time...like Ruetimann is right now.
  • No that's silly but then again I've just read a lot of silly answers and questions.
  • Yes I think so. Every driver had the opportunity to make the same choice as Reutimann and if the strategy works they took the risk and it paid off.
  • that happens they all understand the rules and since the race reached halfway its official.. they will try to get it all in if at possible
  • I personally dont think so because the best driver didnt win the race.
  • Of course. All 43 cars are racing on the same track with the same conditions.

Not giving points in a rained out race is a real slap in the face to the teams who raced hard and the fans who suddenly went to a race that now means absolutely nothing.
  • yeah, they should. even if the driver that wins a rained out race is not "the best driver", they still had to use some strategy to get out there. no matter whether they completed the race or not, the drivers still deserve the points. they still raced, after all.
  • No, they should just put the tracks in domes or something so we wouldn't have this problem to begin with. Takes the fun out of racing since you can't race in the rain.going halo movie there
