If you had to create your own “Mini-Chase” selecting the to 10 drivers to compete in it, who would they be?

May be...

  • Jeff Gordon
    Jimmie Johnson
    Tony Stewart
    Mark Martin
    Matt Kenseth
    Carl Edwards
    Kyle Busch
    Kurt Busch
    Greg Biffle
    Clint Bowyer

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! ! !
  • Best as in best driver, not best equipment, right? That's what I'm going off of. Everyone gets a Hendrick # 48 chevy.
For me, my top 10 would be:
    1. Kyle Busch
    2. Tony Stewart
    3. Greg Biffle
    4. Mark Martin (I agree with you on this one. Certainly)
    5. Jeff Gordon (See, he's on there! Even though I hate him)
    6. Matt Kenseth
    7. Denny Hamlin
    8. Kurt Busch
    9. Carl Edwards
    10. Jimmie Johnson
Just misses: Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, David Reutimann, Brian Vickers.
EDITED: Where would the #48 Hendrick chevy be without Chad Knaus?
I change my #10 from Jimmie to Brian Vickers. Jimmie falls to Vickers' spot.
  • Jeff Gordon
    Jimmie Johnson
    Brian Vickers
    Kyle Busch
    Kasey Kahne
    Joey Logano
    Kurt Busch
    Carl Edwards
    Matt Kenseth
    Mark Martin

    GO 24!!!!
  • Mark Martin
    Tony Stewart
    David Reutimann
    Jeff Gordon
    Jimmie Johnson
    Carl Edwards
    Kyle Busch
    Ryan Newman
    Matt Kenseth
    Kurt Busch
  • Smoke
    J. Johnson
    J. Gordon
    Kurt Busch
    Ryan Newman
    Kyle Busch
    Denny Hamlin
    Kenseth
    Biffle
    Burton

Y-------because this is the current top 10
  • Criteria: I’m NOT looking for the following: Potential, Raw Talent, Fan Friendliness, Personal Favorites, Past Accomplishments (unless it’s someone that can still deliver). I’m also not interested in: “If so and so were just on a different team, then…..”

Bottom Line: The 10 drivers today who represent the best that NASCAR Sprint Cup racing has to offer. The NASCAR Category of Yahoo Answers has a lot of knowledgeable fans and I am really interested in their sincere opinions on who they feel represent the cream of the sport.

My Picks: (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. )
Top 9 Tony Stewart, Mark Martin (still), Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle, Matt Kennseth, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson

Okay that took 30 seconds, but I’m struggling with #10: Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin, Dale Jr & Kasey Kahne are on my short list. I almost put Ryan Newman on the short list, but I need to see a whole season from him.
  • I'm not really sure what you're asking.. The top ten drivers in NASCAR?? Based on what?? This year?? Over all?? Not in order..
Johnson, Gordon, Edwards, Kenseth, Harvick, Burton, Montoya, Reutimann, Stewart, Newman..
If you just want this year, we would be having a very small field for the Chase.. The only ones to earn it so far, are Gorden Johnson, Stewart, Kenseth, and Martin..
  • Tony Stewart
    Brad Keselowski
    Joey Logano
    AJ Allmendinger
    Max Papis
    Brian Vickers
    Carl Edwards
    Jamie McMurray
    Dave Blaney
Sterling Marlin or Mike Bliss, whoever's the official McCouskee team dude.
  • Jeff Gordon
    Kasey Kahne
    Jimmy Johnson
    Tony Stewart
    Brian Vickers
    Carl Edwards
    Kyle Busch
    Kurt Busch
    Matt Kennesth
    Joey Logano
  • Brian Vickers
    Scott Speed
    Jeff Burton
    Kevin Harvick
    David Reutimann
    Marcos Ambrose
    AJ Allmendinger
    Casey Mears
    Jimmie Johnson
    Jeff Gordon
  • Kenseth, Biffle, Edwards, Stewart, Johnson, Kyle Busch,Jeff Gordon,Newman,Martin
  • Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kurt Busch, Tony Stewart, Brian Vickers, Juan Montoya, Kasey Kahne, and finally David Reutimann
  • Top 3- Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards because if their cars are running, you can never count them out. Solid performers- Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton. It really hurts me to leave Kasey Kahne out, but because of the rotten cars they have given him for most of the season, I cannot include him. We are seeing a marked improvement over the last couple of races. But since you qualify it with so far this season without changes needed or sentimentality, I'm stuck.
  • 1. Kyle Busch - Raw Talent and potential...personal favorite
    2. Juan Pablo Montoya - Aggressiveness
    3. Kurt Busch - Dodge driver
    4. Carl Edwards - Very talented, can win in anything (Raw talent)
    5. Jeff Gordon - Popularity, and a legend
    6. Jimmie Johnson - 3x champion in a row
    7. Greg Biffle - Can drive a loose race car (talent)
    8. Denny Hamlin - Raw Talent, Potential
    9. Tony Stewart - Same as Edwards
    10. Mark Martin - Old man still can win, and it's fun to see him against the younger guys
  • that's so cute!
    a mini-chase
    i'm still laughing
    hold on...children plays
