Indy 500 tickets?

May be...

  • If you're looking for scalped tickets, they're usu. going to go for at least 25-40% more than face value. However, if you're not into the pre-race festivities, you might be able to get these tickets at a discount, immediately before or immediately after the start of the race.

You don't mention how many you need. eBay has over 200 listings right now, but if you see a single or a set of tickets you want, you'd be best off doing the Buy It Now feature, so they have a chance to get into the mail to you, and you get them prior to Saturday (race is Sunday).

Newspaper: IndyStar does list tickets in their classified ads. You might be able to find some that way. If you see phone numbers, remember, Indianapolis area code is 317.

Ticket brokers: Again, you're looking premium price, if not more. They'll sell you anything, though. Remember ... the farther into the alphabet you go (regarding row), the higher your seat will be (ie, Row B is way-too close to the track - Rows W and double-lettered rows are MUCH better)

Two last things: www.imstix.com ... if you don't want the hassle of figuring out ticket brokers / scalpers, you can go there and purchase tickets. The event isn't sold out.

If you're really looking just to get in, go for the General Admission tickets. $20 each. That gets you into the infield, and you can lay out on a blanket, get a good sunburn, eat fried chicken, and watch cars go by. You can get those right at the gates day-of-race.

Sorry ... not a whole lot to go on regarding # tickets, and what price you're willing to pay max. per ticket. Give you a few options, though.
  • Does anyone know where I can get cheap Indy 500 tickets?
  • Just go and buy them at the track. The scalpers will deal.Never pay full price.Offer them a price and then be ready to walk.
  • If you live close, just go to the track. Or if your a risk taker you could do the same thing. It appears the unification has generated increased interest this year. Prices seem to be higher and they are disappearing from the ticket web sites at a fairly rapid pace. Good Luck.
