With the level of competition, I believe he really needs a top ten this week to stay competitive for the remainder of the chase. He stumbled last week, and he needs to hit his stride this week.

Well if you notice last year, every driver was given a "muligan". Usually Talladega was theirs. It would depend on how the others do for the rest of the chase.

I think that after last week's finish, Kyle definitely would need a top 10 finish to stay up with the leaders. It seems that all the chase drivers do well when the chase starts and all it takes is a couple of bad races and it could all be over.

Absolutely. There will be several drivers ahead of him in the standings right now that get top 5s and top 10s this week. If he loses another 50 or more points to them his championship aspirations will be down this year. I am afraid of how his menatality on the track might change if that happens. If you think he's aggressive now just wait to see how he goes all out if he is no longer points racing in the cup series.

No. He is 70 some points behind with 9 weeks left. All he has to do is gain about 8 points a race on first. Not that difficult. A couple wins will put him near the top. If he has a bad race at Dover, then he has something to worry about I think. I don't think he needs a top 10; just not a finish in the 30s.

It all depends on the competition.
It is very strong this year.
He has got to be in the top 10 for the rest of the chase.
Or I really dont think he has a shot of the championship.
