I thought I was supposed to blend in by jumping up in front of a whole pack of guys running 196 mph when my car was only running 112 mph....heh heh heh.That is the bonehead move of the millenium!

My only comment about that is that Lepage said in an interview that he was under the assumption that when he got to Turn 1 he was supposed to blend into the race track, instead of waiting until the backstretch to do so.

Does it take the blame off of him? No, it really doesn't. He wrecked like 20 cars, and could have killed someone. However, it really is his crew chief's fault as much as it is his fault: his CC should have told him NOT to go up on the track because the pack was coming, but either he didn't or Lepage didn't hear him.

It's not hard to predict the big one at a restrictor plate race. With only a few laps to go the drivers are tired and going 200 mph and the only way they can pass is to start nudging out of the way. You can look and tell the cars are becoming impatient the way they move around a lot and start getting wiggly. That was a bonehead move on Kevin Lepage's part. No other excuse for that particular wreck.
