What are your thoughts on the end of the year Sprint Cup Banquet being in Las Vegas?

It's a very good idea as Vegas is a better match for NASCAR than NYC. Both cities can offer a glitzy showbiz atmosphere and are popular tourist destinations but Vegas is a 24/7 party town with far better weather for a year-end celebration, has more room to showcase the cars & actually has a NASCAR track!

i think it is a great idea but NYC at Christmas time is like no other. At least they can hope the weather may be nicer!

I think it will be perfect once they also hold the last race of the year there. Why not do it all at the same time? I really don't like the long lag between the end of the season and the banquet anyway! Have them complete the last race there and then hold the banquet the following weekend.

of course it'd be better in Vegas, at least there they have the LVMS and the NASCAR Cafe at the Sahara and NASCAR actually races there, what the he** does New York City have as far as NASCAR roots?? Good move hope it stays in Vegas

They probably moved it because they don't want either of the Busch brothers to have to carry the Cups very far to get them home!

I guess it shouldn't matter to me I'll never get to go no matter where it is held, but I do like the idea of it being in Las Vegas.

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Vegas beats NYC any day any time. Gonna be great its only a 5 hr drive, or a quick flight over on Jet Blue. Now they just need to have the final race of the season there. Vegas is Nascar friendly. Gonna be great.

Vegas is much better than NY.

Can't think of a better place to hold it! What better town to parade all those race cars in than down the "Strip" in Vegas! It also gives the Busch brothers extra incentive to win the Cup and be presented with it in their hometown!
