no one, you will never see a driver with the same level of superior equipment as richard had, special building at chrysler's engineering center just for him. with the way that nascar is today no one would get away with intimidator tactics. also dales top 3 rivals all died, richmond, allison, and kulwicki. anyone who really knows what the true cicumstances were would not make a call. also i can see why junior admits that his followers embarass him with their ridicules statements about him. those folks make a good guy look like a fool.

Both have 7 Championships, but The King has those 200 wins to Dale Sr's 76 - if you just want to look at numbers. Petty also raced in a much more "loaded" era of NASCAR. My vote goes to The Man In Black, The Intimidator - Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Two close to call.....but for me it will always be the King. King always made time for me when I wanted an autograph....even last year when my son finally got to meet him...he made us feel like we were the only two fans he had. Dale Sr. while I got his autograph a few times...wasn't as warm and fuzzy guess I was intimidated or something. Just an opinion as always.

Petty won half of his races against subpar competition,,would pull up to a track with an STP trailer,,while the other guys were borrowing money just to get in the race,,,seen personally by this 49 yr old woman from the woods of NC..

DALE,,, won his ,,(all of them) against the best the world had to offer,,,and never backed down,,,and even in his later yrs,,when aerodynamics took over,,,,didn`t shy away from the young guns.....
