Do you think Jr's 2nd place finish will get him back on track?

May be...

  • Yeah I hope he needed to get a good run in. Is anybody else as shocked as I am that nobody is mentioning anything about kyle busch spinning the winner after the race. Once again the guy doesn't deserve to be in this sport.
  • Who want's to know? LOL
Welcome home Lenny. Sure it will. That was what the doctor ordered for that team. Four spot's up in the standing's is a cure all for any team. Knowshon to Denver, yike's and I'm a Raider fan.
  • He drove a heck of a race yesterday.

I hope he does turn it around.
  • yes i think it will give them something to shoot for the win and getting into the chase
  • You darn right it will. Now let's just hope that his luck holds form him and the team. He is almost in the top 12 again.
  • Welcome back Lenny.

Seemed to have given him a boost of confidence, so maybe.
IF the 88 team can continue to work together as a team, rather than a maylay of individuals. (their biggest problem)
I watched his post race interview, he was......"happy"!?!?
  • We'll just have to wait and see. Junior has won at Richmond in the past, but he's run well at some of the other tracks he's struggled at this year. Only time will tell. Yes, a 2nd place finish was great for him, but he needs to string a few of those kinds of runs together to really be back on the right track.
  • i hope so i hope he has all the kinks worked out
  • I think a second place is just what he needed, though a victory would have been better.

Jr needs to run well at the places he is expect to run well at, and Talladega's second place finish allows him to check that off the list.

Jr struggles at Pocono, Indy, Sonoma, and Watkins Glen. And until he figures out those tracks, he will always have trouble winning a championship.

But he doesn't need to worry about those right now. his main focus is, and should be, running well at the tracks he usually runs well at, and putting together a string of good finishes at those tracks.

    So far, so good.
  • It should at least give him a boost of confidence. Richmond is a whole lot different than Talladega but Dale Jr had a great race at Richmond last year until Kyle Busch wrecked him so he could too good this weekend.
  • Jr did great in both races, he just partnered up with a guy that doesn't do plate racing, as good as people think.. So did Keselowski.. lol.. Ryan didn't protect the bottom coming through the tri-oval, on Saturday, and Carl did the same thing Sunday.. Jr pretty much controlled both races.. Of course you can't hold him responsible for all hell breaking loose at the end, either day.. He's back, and next week is Richmond..
Good to see you Lenny.. Looking like the old Jr..
  • I hope so ,he was looking like he used to yesterday.

    H E N D R I C K~M O T O R S P O R T S~R U L E S ! ! ! ! !
  • Well Jr is always good at restrictor plate tracks. His team is having problems with setups everywhere else and keeping up with the track.

Hopefully this finish will erase some of the negative energy floating around on his team and they can focus to improve on the other tracks.
  • Well I think it will boost the teams confidence level but i think that team need a shake up to start runnibg up front every week. Let's see what happenes over the next couple of races . This should give a better indication if this was just a fluke or not.
  • Dega is so much of a crap shoot it is hard to tell. We'll be able to tell by the end of Richmond, since that is one of his better tracks
  • Oh yea Lenny! Junior had a great day yesterday (had a pretty good day Saturday too 5th place finish) he ran up front all day long, led numerous laps, found his pit every single time :)

What an awesome day for Junior and US his fans, I was so happy for him I just had to hug something after the race so I hugged my TV when Junior was giving his big smiling, articulate, very happy interview.

    That's my boy!

Yes, I do think this weekend certainly boosted Junior & the whole #88 teams confidence.

Congrats to Keslowski on his first Cup win. Atta boy!
  • let's hope so.were going to find out in the next few races.amelia island palm
