IN all honesty, Jr will be lucky to finish with 25 wins in his career. He hasnt pumped out more than 1 a year since his 2004 dream season and I dont see him suddenly getting good at age 40. His prime has done came and left

Yes Jr is overrated and yes Jeff Gordon has a legacy. And yes they are both past their prime and so no Jr will never come near anything Gordon has accomplished, not even a championship

his Dad is. Dale Jr. is a so so driver and will never compare

Somebody tell the Emperor that I am not saying that Jr is or was as good as Gordon or anything like that, I am simply saying that Jr has been driving the same equipment as Gordon now for 20 races and so far, Jr has done better. That is NOT an opinion, it is fact. As far as what Junior would have done in his career if he had the same equipmet as #24 then I guess that would be pure speculation. All you have to do is look at this years stats to get the answer................I know Jr will never have as many championships as Gordon, I never said that...................

To say Jr will never win a chamionship might be pushing it. He is currently 2nd in the points and that did not happen by accident. If any of you knows anything about racing, you know a lot of luck is involved, both good and bad............anything can happen down the stretch.

If you have a kid you can call him son but I am not yours. I speak on facts and don't talk out of my backside like you do......I forgot more about NASCAR than obviously you ever knew about. This years facts are exactly what they are and you can move them around to suit your simple little mind any way that you want.

Gordon is older than Jr. Junior will come into his own. Gordon is a great driver and he works for a great team though. It's too bad he is a jerk.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr is overrated. He has more than 60% the # of starts that Jeff Gordon has, yet only about 25% of the wins he has. Jeff Gordon is BY FAR a better driver than Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Jeff Gordon is arguably one of the 10 best racers of all time, Dale Jr won't even make the top 50 NASCAR drivers... unless the fans demand it, and that's something NASCAR will likely listen to.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is not 2nd in points, the 88 car is. The driver of which would be around 15th in points if not for the car... CASEY MEARS'S CAR I should say... notice how the 25 became the 88 and Mears moved to the 5... that's because the 5 sucks. Rick just wanted to make sure the more popular one lived up to the hype. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will NEVER be a legend, and Kyle Busch will ALWAYS be more the intimidator than Jr will ever be.

I hat to say it but in all seriousness Jr. will probably never accomplish what Gordon has.

remember, dale junior has been in the cup series for seven years less than gordon has been. So he has more of a history than dale junior has. So legacies, overall, can't even be mentioned about a driver until after he has already retired.

I agree that Jeff has a legacy. I also think it is a little early to say what Jr will or won't do. He has years of racing ahead of him.

um actually the saying is "Don't Live In The Past" dumbass.

And don't say Junior will never have a legacy you don't know that. Gordon will retire within the next few years. But jr. will still be driving and he's got a long time to come for that first championship.

Gordon is a great driver and has the stats to back it up ..sure..but give JR a break..he is now in good equipment with Gordon and Johnson as TEAM-MATES!...He is still young and NOT his father; for heavens sake..get over it and move on, life too short to re-hash this every day and insulting other members is not the way!
