Which one there's 3 Ralph Earnhardts(2 of them just decided to use their middle name Dale). No seriously though Ralph was one of the best dirt track drivers of his time and wasn't too shabby on asphalt either. 1956 Sportsman(now Nationwide Series) Division Champion, 2 time track champion Greenville-Pickens Speedway. BTW the Earnhardts are the only drivers to win series championships in 3 generations.

He won races before Nascar ever came about. He was a good driver, but they probably overrate him like Junior. I dont know why he is in the top 50 NASCAR drivers, but he could be in just drivers related to Nascar.pda registry
