If the EPA tries to come down on NASCAR then they're going to have to go after every racing series, local and national, across America because they're all privately owned, just like NASCAR is. If millions of people want to drive hundreds of miles to see NASCAR races every year, then that's their American right to do so.

Definitely !!!! They are stimulating the economy and employing thousands of people ,so their carbon footprint is probably negative when you factor all of that in ! If you are that worried about it start walking and quit using electricity .Also grow your own food.

Cars only cause air-pollution. NASA pokes holes in our atmosphere with spacecraft, and the EPA doesn't stop them. Now if Toyota built an ozone depleting NASCARS, that would be a different story, because you know... those Japanese don't even use the EPA, and they like to ride bicycles over there. As far as global warming goes, if anybody knew the trends, before the last ice age there was an increase in the earths temperature, and also less than a century ago parts of North America experienced an almost twelve month winter. The trends in weather patterns dictate that we may see another ice age within less than two hundred years. You would be better off worrying about a giant meteor hitting Earth.
