Edwards and Busch on probation?

May be...

  • It means they can't not be caught in violation of another rule or they may possibly be suspended.
  • no it does not
  • Basically this "Probation" is simply put on so that if either one wrecks another, NASCAR is going to bring the hammer down upon them. Basically, any excitement that could have come out of this new "rivalry" is immediately put to rest because any further interaction between the two drivers will likely cost them points in the chase. Either way, I can't blame Carl and Kyle for sure would've done it to him... Hell, he even tried but since Carl was working the high line it didn't have as much as an effect and Kyle couldn't get by him. Then Kyle had to throw a fit like a little baby, even though he knows in short track racing this type of "Bump and run" is acceptable as long as you don't wreck the other driver.
  • No. It means they are under close watch by NASCAR, and if they violate any other rules (other than in-race infractions such as speeding on pit road, etc) they can be subject to suspension.
  • Does this mean that they can not race for 6 weeks?
  • No they have to behave themselves.

    Boring huh?

    They can still race.
  • they can race but any hope of a true rivalry is gone with the wind, with the chase at hand neither one dares try anything against the other
  • I am not just sick of the "section blah blah blah" of some rule book...I am sick of the different rules for different guys and for different times of the season. We all know that if it was Tony he would of been fined points...and we all know that if it was March not August both Kyle and Carl would of been fined points. They need to find just 1 book to follow and stick to it no matter what.
  • They are still allowed to race. If they were suspended then they would not be able to race. It does mean that if they do anything that NASCAR deems "unbecomming" they could be suspended. It also could occur in any level of NASCAR. So for example if they raced in the Truck or Busch race and got into an altercation, NASCAR could suspend them from the Cup races.

  • OH Lord!!! Section 12 dash 4 dash freaking A shows it's ugly face again. I'm so sick and tired of everything under the sun falling under 12-4-A.

I have a new theory for everyone, NA$CAR doest have a rule book and if they do it's 1 page, and it states Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing; PLUS what ever happened).

Its crap that either one of them got anything out of this including a stupid probation. The only thing the probation does it is guarantees fans that if they touch on the track with their cars, they could get fined under Section 12-4-A or maybe even some points deducted which really doesn't mean squat for the next 2 races because they have their places in the chase locked in.
